It's kinda weird to return to this app after what... five or six years (?!), but I couldn't help myself. Hazbin Hotel is my new hyperfixation, and "Finding Nemo" is one of my all-time favorite movies from my childhood.

English is not my native language, so please correct me if I make any mistakes.

Also, I don't own Hazbin Hotel nor Finding Nemo.

NOTE: I had uploaded this fic before, but the text was weird and over the place, so I deleted and I edited the first chapter. Hope I don't face the same problem again.

Enjoy! :)

A week passed after the last Extermination, a humiliating and mournful event that most Exorcists preferred not to talk about, when Lute noticed some differences in her body. Her lower part felt swollen and she could get nauseous even when she stayed in the ground, prompting her to rush to the closest bathroom and vomit.

Then, her period suddenly stopped. One thing Lute was happy now that she was in Heaven was that her menstruation didn't hurt her anymore, but it was still odd not to see blood flowing from the lower was then that it finally hit her: she was pregnant!

Lute couldn't remember the last time she bore a kid it must have been some time before she died, but not in her afterlife. Not because she avoided sex, quite on the contrary, she enjoyed it, but she didn't have that many options. Sure, she had slept with a guy or three, but most of the times, it was with Adam, leader of the Exorcists and... her former boss.

The reason why the last Extermination was specifically painful for Lute was because it was where Adam, the person whom she had formed the closest bond, had died. Those filthy disgusting demons had stabbed him to death. She was there in his last moments, begging him to resist, to stay with her, but... it was all futile. Adam died in her arm, giving her a last reassuring smile that wasn't able to stop the tears strolling down her face.

She clenched her jaw in that memory. If these Sinners believed they had won, they were wrong. As the new leader of the Exorcists, she had already decided to carry on the Exterminations, no matter what. The Sinners had discovered their weaknesses? So what? No big deal! She would order a set of armors for her and her Sisters to withstand angelic steel. They would recover their power and one day, she would go after the King of Hell himself, Lucifer, and deliver the final blow.

Yeah, that what she ought to for the moment, she had to take care not only of herself, but of the child she would bring to life.

She stopped the daily exercises. They tired her. She replaced her cut arm with a mechanical one. She wasn't sure if and when it would respawn, and she didn't want to risk anything.

And oftentimes, she would caress her belly and wonder how her life will change once she delivers the baby? Will it take after her or Adam? There was no doubt, Adam must have been the father, she hadn't slept with other men for a long time.

At last, the most beautiful day of her afterlife came. Lute gave birth to a beautiful precious girl with rosy cheeks and huge golden eyes. The delivery was easy. It shouldn't come as a surprise, she was in Heaven, everything there was easy and painless. Sha stared at her daughter with the tenderness only a mother could master and caressed the baby's head with her mechanical arm. Gentle moves. For the first time in a while, she was overwhelmed by a sense of relief. She had to remind herself that she held a delicate being who needed her to survive, not an ugly-ass demon whom she ought to slaughter.

"She's really beautiful" the nurse beside her said, appreciating the moment. "What are you gonna name her?"

Lute thought for a moment. She recalled a conversation she and Adam had a long time ago.

"Seriously, what's up with humans nowadays and their lame-ass names" Adam exclaimed after they welcomed a new couple to Heaven and waited until they disappeared. "Who the hell names their kids Atticus or Glimmer? Don't they fucking think it twice?"

"Why? Have you thought of better names?" Lute asked, restraining herself from mentioning some of... the most questionable names had given to her colleagues.

"Uhm, yeah" Adam answered as it was the most obvious thing ever. "There's a reason why I'm in charge of naming you when you recruit. I know how to do my fuckin' job! There's Seth for boys. And Aclima for girls. And Viol..." he traced many others that Lute forgotten as time passed, but surprised her for their lack of sexual references.

"Viol" Lute answered at last.

The nurse wrote down something at a notebook and walked outside the room, leaving the pair alone.

The baby giggled and stretched her arms as if to hug her mom and Lute brought her even closer. "You're in Heaven, sweetheart" she whispered to her ear. "You are gonna love this place. No illness, no suffering, no dying. Daddy's not here..." in that realization, a tear rolled down her face and took a deep breath to calm herself. "... but I'm here for him. I promise I'll never let anything happen to you. I promise, Viol".

Oh, boy. That was the first chapter. Hope you enjoyed it. Tell me your thoughts in the comments. Truth to be told, I'm a huge GuitarSpear shipper (which is ironic, considering that Adam is not gonna appear in this fic) and I wanted to play with the idea of them having a child.

I loved Adam and Lute's dynamic: two completely unlikable individuals whose one and only redeeming quality is their genuine love for each other (you can't convinced me they didn't fuck off-screen) and I wanted to try that with Lute and Viol. Who was also named by a stringed instrument (although that one was obvious XD).
