2.Lacey Stone.

October 31st, Halloween

The next morning, on the New York City cultural side of Gotham, 17-year old Lacey Stone walked through the city on the sidewalk on her way to school, with the city damp from last night's down-pour. She had long blond hair that went past her shoulders and stopped at her upper-back, her eyes were blue, and she wore a pink messenger-bag across her left shoulder. The Gotham sky was covered with gray clouds, as it had been all of October and every October before that.

"Hey, Lacey, wait up!" Came the voice of a little boy from behind, followed by 9-year old Tommy Donovan rushing to Lacey's right side, wearing a black/gray backpack and holding the straps with both hands. He wore an orange plaid un-buttoned short sleeve shirt, a black short sleeve shirt, blue pants and white sneakers. His Mom had dropped him off here to catch the school bus, as she had done since he was 7.

"Good morning, Tommy." Lacey greeted with a smile.

"Morning, Lace." Tommy said. "So are we still on at your place tonight?"

"Yeah, i can't wait." Lacey said.

"Cool!" Tommy said before he and Lacey high-fived each other. "Can i ask you a question?"

"Sure, fire away." Lacey said.

"Is it true that you live in the old Wayne Manor?" Tommy asked.

"Yeah, why?" Lacey said.

"The gang kids say it's a real haunted house." Tommy said.

"(Chuckles) Well, you shouldn't always listen to what the gang kids say." Lacey said.

"Yeah. I guess you're right." Well, the school bus'll be at the bus-stop any minute now. I better get going." Tommy said.

"Well, have a nice day at school, i'll see you later tonight." Lacey said.

"Alright. Bye." Tommy said before he took running.

"Bye!" Lacey said, waving at Tommy with her right hand, watching the 9-year old boy as he ran down the sidewalk, heading for the school bus-stop around the corner.
