[LOG FILE #017 – AGON WASTES, AETHER] The next hallway didn't hold much importance; a couple of small, automatic turrets and some laser slicers. On the other hand, the room after that hallway surprised me a bit.
As soon as I entered the chamber a Space Pirate skiff started to take off. Naturally there were a few remaining Pirates in the room, so I took care of them quickly before they could call for reinforcements. I would say these freaks are too easy to kill, but that just means stronger fighters will eventually show themselves. Once the Pirates were dispatched I looked around the room and saw something that made my heart drop: Metroids.
There was one in a stasis tank near where I came in, and it appeared there were more tanks around. Scans revealed these ungodly creatures to be Tallon Metroids. Which meant the Space Pirates had transported these things from Tallon IV, and were still researching them for whatever reason. The Pirates' enthusiasm for researching the use of such deadly creatures never ceases to confound me. I decided to press on.
Again, another fairly boring hallway. One turret this time. Maybe the Pirates weren't expecting anyone to make it this far back? The next chamber seemed to prove my theory wrong, as they had clearly setup an ambush…
