Chapter 11: Dead streets pt 1

Place: Bus
Time: Day 0- 1730
Shidou panted as the world outside the bus sped by in a blur. H dared not look out the windows at the moment as he knew what he would see. He knew that the world had ended. He had seen it with his own eyes. As much of a calculating coward as he was, Shidou was no fool. He watched as students and teachers ate each other. He had watched as his students turned on each other.
It had been a study hall for classes 3-A, 3-B, 2-E, and 1-C. Mostly he was there helping with subjects and homework that students had issues with. He was being assisted by Student Council President Neji Hyuga who already had a scholarship to Tokyo University on academics alone, but that wasn't counting Neji's skills as the Hyuga version of Akkido also known as the Gentle fist. They had barely been 20 minutes into the class, when the world ended. He had been casually groaping one of his first year treak and field students and about to ask her to meet him in a nearby office for some one-on-one tutoring when the announcement had been made and they all heard the principal die such a horrible death. Shidou did the only thing he could he ordered his students to bar the doors and not panic. Several students didn't listen and ran out, only to be turned into part of the undead mob. So, after managing to secure order with the help of Neji, Kiba, and Tsunoda-kun they hunkered down and waited. Eventually they like heard the sound of the pitchfork and knew it was their chance and raced down to the buses. When he saw the buses, he saw Miyamoto there and cursed. She would have left him to die, but when Uzumaki-kun gave them 20 seconds to live they did what anyone would do, and it was every man and woman for themselves. Of course, Shidou made it look like he was willing to sacrifice himself, but that was a calculated risk he took.
And he was about to make another.
"Thank you Uzumaki-kun. Were it not for you we would have died," said Shdou.
Naruto looked at Shidou before he took a seat. Thankfully these buses were designed with the middle part of the bus having the four seats facing each other. Shidou joined Naruto as did Takashi and Neji. Busujima-kun was sitting with her back to the action next in the seat behind Uzumaki-kun and Komuro, while Tsunoda stood next to Hyuga-kun. It was not lost of Shidou that those who followed Uzumaki-kun were at the front and those who followed him were at the back. Moreover, those of Uzumaki-kun's group all had backpacks filled with items and previsions. Shidou also saw Miyamoto not far away, ready to join in.
This was a high stakes negotiation. Thin lines between takeover or cooperation or blood. Had the number of students on Uzumaki-kuns side been smaller or Miyamoto not there it would have been easy to take over, but Uzumaki-kun wasn't so weak as to fall for just sugered words.
"First off Shidou-sensei... No Shidou-san. Who were were just hours ago is no longer a thing. You can keep calling me Uzumaki-kun, but the relationship of student and teacher is over as far as I'm concerned," said Naruto.
"That isn't how I would put it Uzumaki. We are still in the presence of three faculty members as least three club presidents with Yuuri-san, Busujima-san, and Yourself. With me as Student president. I say we have more than enough school leadership to stay the course of school as it were," said Neji.
"Problem is Hyuga-san is that we are no longer students. The dead walk the earth and until it's brought under control our position on the food chain is not safe," said Miyamoto.
"Which brings me to the second thing. We are one team. One tribe. One crew. Us and them," said Naruto.
"Come on bro, that's a little too far, isn't it?" asked Kiba with narrowed eyes.
Naruto and Kiba had a... loose friendship/rivalry. While they were friendly with each other they still traded bars and jabs at times. The only thing they had a major beef over was the fact that Naruto had slept with more women than Kiba did. Strangely enough Kiba had told Naruto that he didn't have eyes on Saeko, but rather Rei. He said that it was her fiery personality that got him going. Honestly Naruto couldn't see what the dog boy did in Rei who was a total bitch, but maybe the dog in kiba liked that.
Shidou nodded. "I can respect that Uzumaki-kun. However, is it really wise to allow a young man like yourself to lead so many people? I mean you could allow the adualts to take care of things," said Shidou.
"What are you saying?" asked Naruto narrowing his eyes.
"Well, you are a rather remarkable young man, that I cannot argue, however it would be more appropriate for an older, more experienced hand to take over leadership of such a large group," said Shidou.
"And by older hand you mean yourself," said Naruto. He didn't ask he stated what Shidou meant.
Shidou's smile took on a cobra like cast. "Of course. While I respect Sakura-sensei and Mirikawa-sensei neither of them has the fortitude or disposition to lead. An while Hyugga-san is a natural born leader he still has lots to learn. You yourself have shown amazing skills keeping so many people alive, but it's time to let an adult lead and protect you all Uzumaki-kun,"
Takashi narrowed his eyes. "And you do? Don't think I didn't see what you did to that kid who fell on the ground. He begged you for help and you,"
"He was already dead, Shidou just did what anyone of us would have done in that moment. Problem is that we think we have the moral high ground. In this type of world... no one is without sin," said Naruto closing his eyes.
Everyone on the bus looked at Naruto in shock at his words.
"What?" asked Rei looking at her 'friend' in disbelief.
"Naruto isn't wrong," said Saya making everyone look at her as well. "Kid fell, twisted his ankle, screamed bloody murder, and already had a freak chomping on his leg. He was a goner expecting Shidou-sensei to die along with him was too much, even for you Miyamoto,"
"So, you understand why I did what I did Takagi-san?" said a smiling Shidou.
"As much as I hate to admit it, yeah I do," said Saya.
"I understand leaving a dead person for dead, I understand killing in mercy. I understand that, but what you did was unnecessary. You stomped his face in when he was already dead. You could have just as easily pulled your pants leg loose and run," said Naruto.
Tsunoda glared at Naruto. "Are you judging Shidou-sensei for what he did!? You even said you understood him! It's thanks to him that several of us are still alive right now!"
"Trying to force us to follow him is a mistake," said Saeko.
"There seems to be a lot of discourse between us at the moment," said Shidou putting a hand on his face.
"Quit with the power play bullshit," said Saya crossing her arms under her breasts. "You want control that much is clear, but you didn't fight with us or keep us safe. That was all Naruto's doing. If anything, you're trying to use your now false authority as a teacher to get what you want.
Tsunado growled as he took few steps forward to deal with the mouthy bitch as he duded her in his mind. He was intercepted by Rei who put her spear in his solar plexus with a short hard jab making him gasp as he backed away with two of Shidou's people helping him.
Neji narrowed his eyes. "Is this how you operate Uzumaki? Allowing Miyamoto-san to attack whoever she pleases?"
"Your man made a hostile move to attack someone I consider my little sister. Rei acted accordingly. Had he actually put his hands on her, he wouldn't have left this bus alive," said Naruto.
"Now, now I think we're getting to far ahead of ourselves," said Shidou trying to reign in the youngsters. "What say we try again Uzumaki-kun. We need to come together as one group and have an understanding of things,"
Shidou and Naruto looked at each other. Or rather Shidou tried to influence Naruto to his way of thinking. He knew that if he had control of Uzumaki he had control of Busujima. Such a powerful and beautiful tool was too much to leave to chance.
"Do what you want Shidou-sensei, but I warn you everyone at the front of the bus is under my protection, if you try anything to harm them, I will end you personally," said Naruto as he walked away from the seat and sat near the front, close to Saya and Yuuri.
"Are you sure this is a good idea Naruto-kun?" asked Yuuri.
"I have to agree with Yuuri. Shidou isn't the strongest guy, but he's got a bunch of zealots doing his bidding," said Saya.
"Keep an eye out then. I'm going to get some rest," said Naruto as he laid his head down in Yuuri's lap and drifted off into a light nap.
Yuuri blushed at his actions while Saeko smirked at her former rival. I think he likes you.
Shidou near the back looked at the front with a mild glare. His attempt to take over was for not. Honestly all he really wanted was the fighting power behind the brat. Sure, he had a fair few people who could fight with him, but nothing on the power that Uzumaki had at his disposal. Worse he had Mirikaya-sensei on his side. In times like this anyone with any type of medical training was invaluable. Even basic first aid training was a god send. He needed to break their power base.
In this game of chess, He and Uzumaki-kun were opposing kings with different goals. Shidou wanted Uzumaki-kun's group to work for/under him and Uzumaki-kun wanted to keep their groups separate. It wasn't like Shidou wouldn't give Uumaki-kun whatever he wanted. There were plenty of beauties around them who could and would do anything Shidou said. Keeping his students alive had given him a massive head start on that. But it was only a start.
Miyamoto would be an issue as would Inuzuka-kun's crush on the girl. Igou-kun and to a lesser extent Komumro-kun would follow after her like lost puppies. Busujima-kun, Kurumi-chan, and Yuuri-kun would follow Uzumaki-kun without a second thought. Sakura-sensei and Mirikawa-sensei should follow him as he was the more senior of the three of them, but that wasn't a guarantee. Higirashi-san, Chiomi-san, and Ryuzetsu-san were unknowns to him.
But he had other ways to get what he wanted. And one of those was the student seductress herself.
"Yamanaka-kun can you come here for a minute. I would like a word with you," said Shidou.
Ino looked at Shidou and walked over to him and slipped into Shidou's lap. "What do you need me to do Shidou-sensei?" asked Ino with a blush on her face as her hand dipped down to shidou's chest.
Shidou smiled before he whispered something into Ino's ears.
Takashi sighed as he leaned back in his chair. Hisashi wasn't far away and looked at his best friend.
"Today has been crazy huh?" asked Hisashi.
Takashi smiled. "Yeah, you could say that. It kind of reminds me of the times we use to hang out with Naruto, Morita, and even that scumbag Imamura," said Takashi.
Hisashi wanted to laugh. They had been refuted to as a gang by that Teshima-sensei, especially Naruto who was a natural blond. He often tried to tell them that their lives would be garbage if they continued to be lowlifes. At least that was the case until Kushina-san showed up. Apparently, all 5'6 of red-haired fury was enough to make Teshima-sensei leave them alone. All of the fun they hand, hanging on the roof, eating lunch. It was all just a fond memory.
Rei smiled at her boys. Yes, she did consider Takashi one of her boys even if they were no longer dating. She still thought of him as a dear friend.
"It's nice to know that I can rely on the two of you boys," said Rei.
"Well if that's the case you mind sharing some of the goods?" asked Miku coming over and smiling before plopping down in the seat next to Hisashi.
Rei glared at her. "Great the slut is here," said Rei.
Miku shrugged her shoulders. "So what if I enjoy sex? How do the Yankees say it? You only live once? Might as well enjoy myself while I have my looks and body," said Miku as she grabbed her breasts and jiggled them a bit making Takashi and Hisashi blush.
Rei wanted to strangle this girl.
"How about instead of a foursome we make it an orgy," said Ino walking up.
"Get bent Ino," said Tenten glaring at Ino.
Ino cocked her hip. "Is that anyway to talk to your girlfriend?" asked Tenten looking at Ino with a cold stare.
"Ex girlfriend. We only dated for a month before you decided that I wasn't enough for you," said Tenten.
Kota and Kurumi looked at Tenten.
"You a lesbian too?" asked Fuu.
"Bi actually. I had a girlfriend who is is college, but we broke out when she went aboard. I started dating Ino thinking she was cute, but she's a cheating hoe," said Tenten
Ino shrugged. "All I did was have a threesome with a guy and his girlfriend. It's not that big a deal Ten-chan," said Ino.
"Go back to Shidou and your other fuck buddies, before I mess up your pretty little face," said Rei.
Ino pouted. "Come on it's not that big a deal. Look i'll even lick your pussy clean of cream if you want me to," said Ino grabbing Rei and kissing her.
Rei was caught off guard by this action. First Ino was a lot strongest than she looked and she was actually a fairly good kisser. Rei had never been with another girl before. She had thought about it of course and even been teased by her female friends about practicing kissing and other stuff, but she had never taken it seriously, but Ino... Ino was just fucking with her head. Her cherry tasking lips were making it hard for Rei to focus. At least before she pushed ino away and slapped her across the face.
The resounding smack managed to get everyone back to their senses and even wake up Naruto who was between the two girls as Kiba rushed forward to comfort Ino
"See Uzumaki-kun. If such a violent girl like Miyamoto-kun can't keep her emotions in heck over a little teasing.
"Not fucking now Sensei!" growled Naruto
"That's it?" asked Rei glaring at Shidou.
"Rei!" said Naruto in warning as he had been awoken by the fight and helping pull Ino and Rei apart. .
Rei grit her teeth, before standing up! "Enough. Stop the bus!" yelled Rei.
Shizuka not thinking about what was happening did as told.
Rei opened the side door and hopped out. Takashi, Naruto, and Yuuri got out to stop her.
"Christ what is your fucking problem Miyamoto!?" asked Naruto.
Rei turned and glared at Naruto as she pointed at Shidou. "That son of a whore is my fucking problem; He's a menace and his little cult of personality is going get someone killed! You are allowing them to stay with us put a target on our fucking backs!"
"Miyamoto-san that isn't right. Whatever problems you have with Shidou-sensei you need to leave in the past! We all need to work together to survive this crisis!" said Yuuri
"Get off of your fucking high horse Yuuri! Shidou will get us all killed!" asked Rei.
Yuuri put her hand on her chest. "This obsession with Shidou-sensei will cost someone their life with the way the world currently is," said Yuuri.
"Fuck you Yuuri! You don't know what he's cost me!" yelled Rei.
"Are we really doing this whole victum bullshit again!? He held you back, helped drag your father's reputation though the mud, created the scandal that everyone in the Security and Education sector is talking about," said Naruto as he grabbed the front of Rei's shirt and pulled her face close. "Cry me a fucking river Miyamoto!"
Rei glared at Naruto and opened her mouth to speak but was stopped as Naruto pulled her close as he jumped backwards into the tunnel. Rei was confused as they twisted in the air. She berifly caught a glimpse of Takashi doing the same thing for Yuuri. She was confused, but her question was angered as she saw a Truck hit the underpass where they were. It went up in a ball of flames. Before they could say or do anything another of bus came screaming out of nowhere and hit the tank making it catch fire.
Saeko and the others rushed over. To the flames but couldn't get to close for fear of getting burned
"Naurto-Kun! Yuuri-san!" yelled Saeko.
"Takashi! Rei-chan! Can you hear us!?" yelled Hisashi
"We're fine! The tuck is blocking our path back to you!" yelled Takashi
"Busujima-san we have to go!" yelled Kota
Saeko looked at the tank were Flaming zombies came out of the fires, but it didn't seem like they were hurt, rather... it looked like they were just fine. Maybe... another varient. Saeko cursed she didn't have time to think, she needed to move.
"Where do we meet you!" yelled Saeko.
"Two days from now! Meet us at the East town Police station! If either party isn't there within 48 hours assume the worst and move on," said Naruto.
