[LOG FILE #024 – DARK AGON WASTES, DARK AETHER]
As I trekked further I saw an unsettling increase in phazon levels. This would explain the attempts of the Space Pirates to travel to Dark Aether. Even with the risk of death, their phazon usage would gain a huge boost with the amount I was seeing. As the phazon levels increased, so did the number of pirate corpses.
Eventually I made it to what appeared to be yet another dead end, blocked by another light door. Another glance around the chamber I was in showed another dark door further away. With some platform manipulation I entered the door to find what I was curious about: yet another weapon module, this time a Light Beam. Now I could get through these dead ends.
Like the Dark Beam I acquired earlier, this new Light Beam ran on an ammo system. Unlike the Dark Beam though, the Light Beam appeared to be extremely effective against the Ing and other dark creatures. Analysis even showed it could burn targets and pierce through multiple hostiles. Now this weapon would certainly prove useful.
I worked my way back to my arrival area once more, this time going through the light door that had previously blocked my way. On the other side was a large open area, with the third Dark Temple Key on the ground in the center. Natural instinct told me it was a trap, but I felt ready to take on whatever may be laying in wait as I approached the key…
