[LOG FILE #033 – TORVUS BOG, AETHER]
The journey to reach the region known as Torvus Bog was uneventful for the most part. Only a brief stint to Dark Aether to circumvent a blocked path and a brief firefight with a few Space Pirates. Arriving in Torvus, however, was another story.
The first thing I saw after leaving the elevator chamber was the rain. It fell heavily, and judging from the sky there was no indication it would ever stop anytime soon. Of course it made sense, being a swampland. Didn't mean I would enjoy it, though. If the rain was any indication, I'd likely be going through the same troubles I originally had on Tallon IV…
As Murphy's Law would have it, the next chamber showed a lot of standing water. Scans with my visor confirmed that there would be passages under the water's surface. I couldn't help but wish that I still had my Gravity Suit from my time on Tallon IV. Perhaps Aether had something similar that would make water navigation easier?
I pressed further in the Bog, dispatching the hostile lifeforms that tried to attack me along the way. Because of the plentiful water most of the hostile life in the area thus far was plant-forms. I didn't think on it too much, though. Whatever came my way up to that point was no match for my weaponry. But of course, there are always bigger and hungrier threats on these alien worlds…
