[LOG FILE 037: TORVUS BOG, AETHER]
It had taken a while, but I finally managed to reach the Torvus Temple. I thought I might finally have a chance to relax, but that thought evaporated upon hearing the sound of thrusters. A Space Pirate skiff swooped in from above, and the two Pirates on it noticed me. It was time to fight.
The two Pirates went down fairly quickly to my Charge Beam, but a pair of Aerotroopers didn't give me enough time to catch my breath. My missile launcher rang out as I took down the aerial foes. But the battle was still not over.
Another skiff came into view, carrying four more troopers for me to deal with. The standard grunts of the Space Pirates aren't overly dangerous on their own, but they can be problematic in groups. This squad was no exception, landing quite a few hits on my Dark Suit during the battle. After a few minutes though the last Pirate fell and the Torvus Temple was quiet again.
Finally having a moment to myself, I took a glance around the Temple chamber. The Space Pirates had been busy prior to my arrival, if the abundance of supply crates was any indication. I decided to use the opportunity to destroy the crates, looting the energy and missile stores to resupply.
The sound of something powering down nearby caught my attention. Turning in that direction I noticed a laser gate turn off, allowing access to a nearby elevator. What really caught my attention, however, was what appeared to be a weapon system right in front of the elevator. A quick scan of the module confirmed what it was: a Super Missile upgrade.
I wasted no time adding the new armament to my loadout. After a quick verification that the Super Missile worked I stepped on the elevator and ascended higher into the temple, having a feeling that I would soon reaching the area's energy controller…
