Hello all Storm here with a new chapter! Here we'll be seeing a small timeskip of when Naruto moved into the Uchiha District, along with him beginning to make some moves against Konoha, starting by taking what belongs to him. As well as having a surprising encounter with an unexpected opponent. So without further ado.
I own nothing
The Uchiha District, once filled with dozens of men, women and children of the Uchiha Clan all going about their lives. But now sits empty and abandoned with many buildings having fallen into disrepair, plants overgrowing and only utter silence filling the air. Being reduced to little more than a ghost town within Konoha, one that no one dares to enter. With many villagers continuing to go about their lives choosing to ignore the Uchiha Clan ever even existed at all, while others fear to enter. Believing the district to be haunted by those that died there, though many also dismissed this as nothing more than a rumor used to scare children. Yet no one has tried entering the now abandoned district since the Uchiha Massacre.
At the moment a storm had rolled over Konoha with rain and wind blowing across the entire village, forcing everyone to stay indoors until it passes. The only ones out being Ninja out on patrol, mainly those capable of seeing past the storm for any potential threats. While the Uchiha District was hit by the storm as well, only adding to the ominous silence as window shutters and doors were slammed around by the wind. Along with lanterns and wind chimes rattling through the storm, the sounds only further ensuring that if anyone were to pass by the district they'd quickly turn the other way to avoid getting too close.
Though unknown to the rest of Konoha, the Uchiha District was no longer as abandoned as everyone still believes it to be. With someone having moved into the Naka Shrine, taking it and everything else within the Uchiha District as their own.
Inside the Naka Shrine, Naruto had quickly made himself at home after setting everything up to his liking. The Uzumaki was currently laying within the main room laying down on the floor with his legs resting on the wall, along with wearing more casual clothing compared to what he normally wears.
Wearing a burnt orange tank top with black stripes down the side and a pair of blue shorts going down to above his knees. The clothing also highlighting his rather toned and muscled physique, for his age, showing a good amount of muscle on his arms, even signs of a six pack. Along with his legs showing to be built for speed and agility.
Naruto had made himself at home in the shrine in the three days he's been here, as around him were his parents scrolls, a few sets of folded clothes he always kept on him in case he needed a quick change. Some medical supplies he also kept with him at all times, a few kunai and shuriken, some senbon, a ninjato sword that had been sealed in his mother's scroll. But the most notable items he was able to unseal were some three-pronged kunai, ones that anyone in the Elemental Nations could recognize as his father's signature weapon.
There had also been various books on Fūinjutsu, Kenjutsu and Taijutsu sealed in the scrolls with the whiskered ravenette currently reading an intermediate book on Fūinjutsu. While next to him were a few stacked books on basic Fūinjutsu, which he already read through. As well as some Kenjutsu and Taijutsu books he'd been reading, having left bookmarks in two of them to continue reading at a later time.
But, despite the different Kenjutsu and Taijutsu styles listed in the books, Naruto wasn't planning on having any set style. Since a set style meant he would get predictable and eventually encounter someone that could counter it. Instead, he was only looking through and picking out techniques that'll benefit him.
In the end, Naruto was satisfied with his decision to move into the Uchiha District, where no one even knew he was here and he could train in peace. Even better that what felt like the first time in his life he was able to relax. No longer worrying if he would suddenly be attacked or feeling as though he was being watched, like at his apartment. Letting him act much more casually than he normally would, being able to do whatever he wanted within the district. Though that's not to say he hasn't taken measures to ensure he wasn't caught off guard in case he was discovered.
He's grown more relaxed, that doesn't mean he's grown more foolish.
One thing the Uzumaki was aware of is that some people would probably find it disrespectful with how casually he was behaving in, what could be considered, sacred ground with his stuff lying around. But in all honesty, Naruto really didn't care. The district had been abandoned for years, the shrine included, while Naruto is certain he had a right to claim whatever the Uchiha Clan had been forced to abandon when they were run out of Konoha, if his eyes were anything to go off of.
Currently, Naruto was reading the Fūinjutsu book with his Sharingan active to help better memorize the information.
'This is the nature of the Shinobi World, as well as the nature of humans overall. Especially those who don't have the convenience of being part of a Hidden Village.' Naruto thought as he flipped a page, knowing this is how things work outside of a Hidden Village.
Those who are complacent are killed or forced to run away if they wish to escape with their lives, while those who are smart and cunning enough will move in and claim the spoils left behind. And despite his power and abilities, Naruto was confident enough to be at peace with currently being at the lower end of the food chain. Plus it left him free to move about to scavenge the remains of the large prey from the carcasses that the apex predators will have so casually tossed aside, so to speak.
'Besides, it'll make good practice for when I eventually go rogue and tear the entire system down.' Thought Naruto, fully intending to leave Konoha once he no longer has anything to gain from being here.
Which also means he'll be on his own with no protection from any other villages or Missing-Nin he'd come across, and with what he can do it'll ensure he'll have a very large target on his back.
Luckily, his parents were kind enough to also leave him plenty of Barrier and Security Seals, both of them wanting to make sure he'd be safe in the event he was ever in a dangerous situation alone. With Naruto being more than happy to take advantage of the seals on his new residence, along with refining his own abilities in Fūinjutsu. Ensuring he'll be able to make them, himself.
He also took extra precautions by having several teams of Shadow Clones patrolling the district at all times, not wanting to take any chances of someone getting past the seals.
'Can never be too careful in a village that either wants you dead or as a mindless puppet.' Naruto thought before glancing to the side, when a small radio he acquired began emitting static.
"Attention citizens of Konoha, it is advised that everyone remain in their homes for the duration of the storm. It is expected we will be receiving prolonged winds and rainfall for the next few days. I repeat remain in your homes for your own safety until the storm passes."
'Seems my luck is finally turning around.' Thought Naruto, smirking as he snapped his book closed, seeing he's been given the perfect opportunity to head to the Uzumaki Clan's Mask Storage Temple sooner rather than later.
Having intended head there, eventually. But knew he'd need to wait for an opportunity where there'd be minimum risk of anyone seeing him.
Going over to his mother's notes, his Sharingan memorizing the directions she wrote down on how to get to the temple. But before Naruto could get ready to set out, he felt the building rattle when a particularly strong gust of wind hit it. Only to begin cursing when the door was thrown open by the wind, sending various objects flying everywhere from the force of it.
Rushing over, Naruto quickly slid the door closed, holding it there for a few moments until he was sure it wouldn't be thrown open again.
'Great. Now I need to-huh?' Naruto thought, annoyed as he turned to make sure nothing was damaged, only to frown when he noticed some of the tatami mats on the ground were blown around by the wind.
But what really had his attention was he saw something underneath one of them, making Naruto curious that there could be something hidden right under his feet. Going over to the mat, Naruto lifted it up before moving it to the side. Revealing a hidden passage going underneath the shrine.
'Secret underground tunnel. That checks out.' Thought Naruto, not that surprised the Uchiha Clan had a secret room in their shrine, before he headed down the stairs to see what awaited him at the bottom.
His curiosity only growing as he entered what looked like a large meeting room, being lit by four braziers arranged around a stone tablet. Naruto's attention going to the tablet when he saw writing on it, though not one he understood or could even read.
'Now what is this supposed to be?' Naruto thought, looking over the tablet to see if anything could be made out, frowning when part of it started becoming clear.
"Seeking stability…" Naruto read out loud, his frown deepening when that's all he was able to make out, the rest being unreadable.
Wondering why he could read part of it but not the rest before an idea came to him as Naruto deactivated his Sharingan. Causing what little he could read to become unreadable like the rest, only to be able to read it when he activated his Sharingan again.
'Okay, so only someone with the Sharingan can read it, barely anyway. Which means if I want to see what else it reads then I'm going to need to make my Sharingan stronger, which will hopefully be soon.' Thought Naruto, seeing he'll need a stronger Sharingan if he wants to find out what else the tablet says.
Thankfully, aside from the few times he'll need to show his face by going into the village or needing to meet someone face-to-face. Naruto intended to have his Sharingan constantly active to further help develop it. Only taking an occasional break to let his eyes rest and so he doesn't become totally reliant on the Dōjutsu. As despite the great power and legacy the Sharingan possessed, to Naruto it was just another weapon and resource at his disposal. Nothing more nothing less, just like the shrine he's claimed as his own.
'Maybe if I was raised by my godmother or even interacted with that one-eyed Scarecrow, I'd actually give a damn about that legacy or turning a shrine into my own lair.' Thought Naruto, having no care for the legacy behind these eyes, only caring how they can help him in his goals.
As far as Naruto's concerned, things like honor, tradition, respect, morality, they were all luxuries for those that could afford to have them. The only thing that matters to him is taking any advantage he can get against his enemies. The whiskered ravenette never realized how liberating such a mentality could be until he embraced his mentor's ideology of chaos.
Shaking his head, Naruto went back up to the main shrine after seeing he wouldn't be getting anything else from the stone tablet and still had other business to attend to while he had the chance. With him then changing into his Shinobi attire in preparation to head to the Mask Storage Temple. Along with some new additions to his outfit.
The first being his mother's scarf wrapped around his neck, a black hooded cloak, a white fox mask with red markings over a black facemask covering the lower half of his face in the event the fox mask is damaged or knocked off. Along with using a small Transformation Jutsu to cover up his whisker marks, ensuring he wouldn't have to worry of anyone finding out it's him.
Once he put the fox mask on, his Sharingan glowed ominously through the eyeholes, Naruto began arming himself next.
Equipping himself with some ninja wire, kunai, shuriken, Storage Scrolls and Paper Bombs, as well as a few old fashion firecracker bombs. More crude means of causing explosions and relics from an era before the convenience of Paper Bombs. Though Naruto couldn't deny their practicality as well as how no one would expect such archaic weapons to still be used. With the whiskered ravenette also grabbing a small lighter to ignite them.
'I'll need to work on learning how to use Fire Chakra and Lightning Chakra.' Naruto mentally noted, preferring if he was able to light them himself in the event he lost the lighter or it stopped working.
Plus it'd also give him the chance to expand his Ninjutsu arsenal with the Fire Style Ninjutsu scrolls that he was able to find in the Uchiha District. On top of the new Wind Style Ninjutsu he had also gotten to work on learning from his parents scrolls as well.
'It's honestly impressive that with all the Chūnin, Jōnin and Anbu that raided this place, they left everything behind believing it wasn't important. Truly impressive…it takes a special kind of arrogance to think anything here is unimportant.' Thought Naruto, knowing their loss was his gain.
The last thing he grabbed was a pair of retractable triple-bladed tekagi-shuko which he strapped to his wrists. Clenching his fist, Naruto smirked as the three blades popped out before having them return to their retracted state.
Once that was done, Naruto used his Jūryokuton to lessen the effects of gravity on himself and his equipment, along with setting his training weights to zero. Having found a set of training weights in parents scroll, ones to strap to his legs and arms, which they made with Fūinjutsu. Allowing the wearer to adjust the weight of them, making it so they can continuously increase the weight after getting used to them. Ensuring they'll keep building up strength and speed, giving an even bigger boost once they're turned off.
While he could do the same thing with his Jūryokuton by increasing the gravity on himself, Naruto still needed to work on his control to adjust gravity that precisely. Not wanting to risk increasing it too much and end up crushing himself. So for now he's using the training weights, which he had set to level five, with it being fifty pound each.
'I feel even lighter than normal.' Naruto thought as he felt about as light as a feather, much to his satisfaction.
Knowing like this, he's going to be little more than a shadow in the storm, making sure that anyone who is currently still outside wouldn't see anything. And if anyone did see him, he'd be moving fast enough that they'll be dead before they can try alerting anyone else or attacking.
Despite how it was a simple retrieval mission, Naruto wouldn't be surprised if he did encounter any resistance on the way to and from the Mask Storage Temple. Especially since the village is still on high alert from Mizuki's attempt to steal the Scroll of Seals. Plus, as much he didn't like it, he doubted Tsunade and Dan left the temple abandoned like his mother feared they would.
Reading the scrolls she left him on her own history in Konoha, Naruto learned about his mother's feud with the eldest of the last, female Senju. Learning how and why it started, the brief time they were close after Uzushio's destruction only for Tsunade to practically ignore Kushina even existed, focusing on her own family and happiness. Though despite his hatred of them, Naruto doubted Tsunade would have forsaken her Uzumaki heritage to the point of leaving the temple entirely abandoned. Especially if the masks within are as dangerous as his mother's warning made them out to be.
Pulling up his hood, Naruto exited the Naka Shrine before vanishing in a burst of speed, being nothing more than a shadow in the storm. Only for the Uzumaki to be unaware, or possibly aware but not reacting, to a presence that was watching and now following him from a safe distance.
With gravity's effect on him lessened and his training weights off, Naruto was able to glide across the treetops faster than most people would be able to see. All while being unseen and unheard over the fierce winds and rain coming down hard enough that one would think it was hail from the impacts it was making. Though this didn't cause the whiskered ravenette to stop his course, knowing exactly where he was going even through the storm.
However, as he moved to the temple, Naruto did think about what he was going to do once the time came for him to leave Konoha and truly begin his plans.
He was planning on killing the Hokage and one of the Sannin, along with anyone that gets in his way destroying the Hidden Village System and all but plunging the entirety of the Elemental Nations into chaos. Which will not only make him an enemy of Konoha, but every Hidden Village in existence as well.
'I'm going to need allies.' Naruto thought, knowing he wouldn't be able to accomplish such a plan alone.
Even with his abilities it would still take a while for him reach the level power he'd need to do it himself, not to mention the level of combat experience that he'd need. With that not even counting the risk of him being killed before he can get to that level. Leaving his only option being to find allies willing to help him in destroying the Shinobi System.
'And I doubt I'll find anyone in Konoha that I can convince to help me do that, let alone convince anyone to help me kill the Hokage and his wife. Even if it's worthless, everyone here actually believes in that Will of Fire crap. Which means if I'm going to get allies, I'll need to find them outside of Konoha. Great…' Thought Naruto as he mentally groaned in annoyance, given how he'd need to find and observe those he believes he can sway to his side.
Something that wouldn't be easy, since he can't approach just anyone and ask if they'd join him in destroying the Shinobi System. He would first need to make sure they would share his hatred of the Shinobi System and want to destroy it. Or at the very least see how flawed and broken the system is, believing it would be better if it was gone, even if it meant going back to the Warring States Period.
Before Naruto could think on it further, he was pulled from his thoughts when he caught sight of something ahead of him. Narrowing his eyes as his Sharingan helped him get a better look, allowing him to see four Ninja ahead and coming straight towards him.
Two he recognized as the Chūnin that were always guarding the gates, another was a Hyūga with the tell-tale pale white eyes and the last was an Inuzuka from the red fang tattoos on his cheeks and the Ninken.
'Looks like I already have a problem to deal with.' Naruto thought, seeing that he would be on a collision course with the Ninja.
Thanks to the Inuzuka and his Ninken's enhanced senses along with the Hyūga's Byakugan, even if the former's duo are hampered by the storm, they'll sense him even if he tries avoiding them. Seeing that he was right when he saw the Hyūga raise his hand, signaling the rest of his team to stop, and seemed to be looking directly at Naruto despite the distance between them.
'The Hyūga, first.' Thought Naruto, channeling Chakra through legs to amplify his speed as well as using the Shunshin no Jutsu.
Having taken inspiration from both his father and Shisui Uchiha with the latter being known as Shisui the Teleporter, thanks his mastery of the Shunshin.
Allowing Naruto to appear right in front of the Hyūga in a burst of speed before any of them could even register his sudden appearance. With only the Hyūga noticing, thanks to his Byakugan spotting Naruto's Chakra Signature, causing his eyes to widen in shock when the stranger he saw moved so fast as to get right in front of him in an instant.
Leaving the Hyūga unable to retaliate before the Uzumaki knocked him off the branch he was on, slamming his entire body into the Hyūga, sending them both flying back away from the others.
'What?! How could someone move that fast?! Who is thi-his eyes!' Thought the Hyūga, looking at the hostile with his Byakugan, managing to look through his mask and the facemask underneath but was unable to recognize who it was nor was the Chakra Network familiar either.
Only to be completely shocked when he saw the Chakra flowing to the strangers eyes, showing he must have a Dōjutsu. But the shocking part was when the Hyūga saw they had the Sharingan with one tomoe in each eye.
'An Uchiha?! But how?! Is this one of the survivors?! Are they working for Iwa?!' The Hyūga thought, wondering if one of the Uchiha that survived the massacre joined Iwa or were simply working as a mercenary.
Unfortunately, the sudden attack and trying to figure out his attackers identity had left the Hyūga defenseless as Naruto followed the body slam by slamming his fist into the Hyūga's sternum. Grunting at the impact before his eyes widened in horror as he saw, too late, the hidden blades strapped to the strangers hands and forearms.
Before the Hyūga let out a choked gasped when three blades shot forward, slicing through flesh and piercing bone, into his chest. Though it didn't stop there as the assailant then tore his chest wide open with the blade, making the Hyūga choke and gag as blood dripped from his mouth. The last thing he saw being a flash of lightning illuminating the area, seeing his own blood, flesh and even bone flying through the air around his killer.
'M-mo-mon…ster…' Though the Hyūga before his body began dropping to the ground.
Only for Naruto to grab it and throw the corpse against a tree where it slumped down in a sitting position, the upper half slouching forward but remained up. Before the Uzumaki quickly jumped back into the trees, waiting for the rest of his soon-to-be victims to arrive.
"Kō! Kō!" Shouted one of the Chūnin as they quickly jumped down rushing over to their comrade, thinking he's only unconscious.
Before they looked in horror when they got a closer look and saw the state Kō was in, his chest being torn completely open with blood having poured around him and onto the ground in a large puddle.
"Damnit! Izumo, Kotetsu! Stick together!" Said the Inuzuka as the three quickly stood back-to-back, not doubting whoever did this is still nearby.
"Can you smell anything, Gaku?! Is it Iwa Ninja?!" Said Izumo, looking around rapidly while trying to remain focused despite feeling some nervousness at how brutally Kō was killed, wondering if it's Iwa Ninja that were working with Mizuki.
"I don't know! We can barely smell anything through this stor-" Gaku said, only for them to tense when a thick mist began filling the area.
"Wh-what?! Where'd this mist come fro-" Said Kotetsu before they all froze when they heard something else over the storm.
It took a moment before they realized it was…whistling. An ominous yet somehow jaunty whistle that seemed to be coming from all around them. With it only unnerving the Ninja further at who could be making the sound and where it's coming from.
None of them noticing as Naruto got into position as he whistled, releasing his other three blades with all six being out. Before channeling Wind Chakra through them, increasing their length and cutting ability. The whiskered ravenette then immediately shot forward in another burst of speed straight at Izumo and Kotetsu. Neither of the Chūnin having a moment to react or even register, only barely seeing a black blur rush right between them, along with the feeling of something hitting their necks.
"Izumo! Kotetsu! We need to-" Said Gaku, turning towards them, only for his eyes to widen in horror when he looked at the Chūnin and saw blood dripping from all around their necks.
His horror only growing as their bodies dropped to the ground, like puppets that just had their strings cut. While their heads bounced and rolled away, their faces permanently frozen in looks of shock and horror upon realizing what happened in their last moments.
It was only the sound of their heads hitting ground that snapped Gaku and his Ninken out of their shock, before they both stumbled back. Gaku looking around rapidly for any sign of the attacker, with his Ninken whimpering slightly feeling its instincts going crazy, telling it to either run or simply attack. With it getting worse when the whistling came back, sending shivers down their spine.
"Wh-where are you?!" Gaku shouted, spinning around trying to find where they were hiding, before he suddenly saw his Ninken lunge forward at something through the mist.
Gaku's eyes widened when he saw a dark silhouette through the mist and rain with his Ninken jumping at them until he saw the figure throw something. Before there was a bright flash right in his partners face, getting a surprised yelp as they were blinded by the flashbang.
Before the Inuzuka's horror returned in full force along with despair when the figure shot forward, sliding underneath his Ninken and stabbed three blades emerging from their hand into its belly. Disemboweling the Ninken as they did so, much to Gaku's pain, shock, despair and sorrow as his partner's body hit the ground.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Gaku screamed in complete and utter anguish, to the point where his painfilled cries sounded more like a loud solemn howl, before rushing forward to his partner.
But he stopped when Naruto lunged at him next, grabbing the Inuzuka's head before he could react. With Gaku screaming in agony a moment later as Naruto channeled Chakra into his head, causing it begin twisting, distorting and swelling with blood leaking out his eyes, nose, ears and mouth. Until in another moment, Gaku's head exploded, bursting with blood, bone fragments, flesh and gray matter flying everywhere and all over Naruto's cloaked form.
Though Naruto didn't stop there, as he immediately pulled out a blank scroll and used the blood on his hands as a makeshift ink. Quickly drawing out a seal over the scroll, channeling Chakra through it to dry before the rain could ruin the seals.
Once that was done, the Uzumaki began spinning it around and lashed it out like a whip at Kō's, Izumo's and Kotetsu's bodies. Causing them to vanish in puffs of smoke as they were hit, with the scroll then rolling itself up as Naruto pocketed it. Pleased at having the bodies stored away with an added Preservation Seal, ensuring they won't start rotting and their brains will remain alive while in the Storage Scroll. Intending to see what information he can gather from their minds, another time.
'That went much better than I expected it would. And even with only two steps completed and the third step still being work in-progress, the Rasengan is proving far more useful even if I haven't mastered it yet.' Thought Naruto, looking at the Inuzuka's corpse, pleased at the sight of what the first two steps of the Rasengan can do, that he could now kill someone with just a touch if he wants to.
Doubting anyone would have thought the steps to learning the Rasengan would be just as dangerous as the Jutsu itself.
Along with being pleased that he was able to kill some Jōnin and Chūnin. Granted, with some prep time combined with the element of surprise and some intimidation tactics. Having wanted to replicate the Silent Killing Technique to go along with the Hidden Mist Jutsu, but with his own additions to it.
'Though what exactly did they mean by Iwa Ninja?' Naruto thought as he went over to loot Gaku's body for anything useful on it.
Having heard them assume Kō was killed by Iwa Ninja, making the whiskered ravenette wonder if there were any in the area or they were expecting to be attacked by Iwa Ninja.
'Well, if they're expecting Iwa Ninja…' Thought Naruto as he began throwing Explosive Tags around the area.
Creating small explosions to churn up the soil, along with making some cracks and craters in the ground before looking around and spotted a decent sized rock. Going over to it, Naruto pulled out a kunai before channeling Wind Chakra through it and began carving up the rock. Carving it into the shape of a large stone spike, which he lifted with his Jūryokuton and stabbed it into Gaku's headless corpse, making it look like the spike went through his upper body and head. Making sure to position it correctly to look like the spike emerged from the ground as it stabbed him.
Nodding to himself as he looked over his work, Naruto was pleased that the area now looked like it had been ripped apart by Earth Style Ninjutsu. Ensuring that once the body of Gaku and his Ninken are discovered, everyone will believe that Iwa Ninja were responsible. Leaving him without worry of being suspected before Naruto took his leave, continuing towards the Mask Storage Temple.
All while knowing the pandemonium that'll come when the corpses of Gaku and his Ninken are discovered. With it being framed to look like he and his teammates were killed by Iwa Ninja. Naruto's sure it won't be long before Konoha and Iwa will be at each other's throats, which will help his own plans in the long run.
'Maybe I could try killing more Ninja and setting it up to frame other villages. It'd certainly keep Konoha off my back if they're more worried about which villages are attacking them. Even better if the other villages believe Konoha's trying to frame them by killing their own Ninja.' Thought Naruto while smirking behind his masks, knowing it'll be something to consider as the time to leave gets closer.
*Later*
It wasn't long before Naruto arrived at the Mask Storage Temple, though he didn't approach it yet, wanting to first see if any guards had been placed nearby. Creating and sending some Shadow Clones to scout the perimeter, only to be surprised by the memories he got back when they dispelled.
'Seems I'm not the only one who stopped by.' Naruto thought as he moved closer to the temple, all while still remaining hidden, to see for himself what his clones did.
Finding several Jōnin and Anbu lying on the ground dead, blood splattered on the ground and foliage, yet he didn't see any bodies showing who could've attacked.
'Meaning whoever did this was fast, with it either being one very strong Ninja or at the very least two or three attackers with very good teamwork and coordination. The fact the Ninja were all killed before they could try raising an alert means they could've been caught off-guard.' Thought Naruto before he began moving around the perimeter, wanting to be sure he's here alone.
Once he was sure of that, Naruto stepped out from the shadows and approached the bodies. Wanting to see if there's and defining wounds on them to give a hint of who's responsible.
'All the guards are here, which means whoever attacked somehow lured them all together before taking them out at once. Perhaps Genjutsu, someone using a transformation to get them to lower their guards, a traitor maybe?' Naruto mentally wondered, knowing whoever did this had to have done something to get the Ninja all together in one area to take them all out or they were attacked by someone they didn't think was an enemy.
Shaking his head, Naruto headed into the temple while looking around warily once he was inside. Unsure if whoever had killed the guards could still be here, hiding their presence, or if they could have raided the temple already and set traps up inside for anyone else. Before the Uzumaki saw there was more than one hallway inside and created five Shadow Clones.
"While I get the masks, you all search the temple for anything of use, make sure to find any hidden compartments and Storage Seals." Naruto ordered; his clones nodded before they rushed off to begin searching the temple for any secrets it may hold while Naruto went towards the center of the temple where the masks were kept.
His mother's directions also including where the masks were stored in the temple, itself. So it wasn't long before Naruto entered a large room with a podium where the masks hung on the opposite wall, beneath three connected spirals and underneath were ornate black flames. With there being three rows of nine masks.
'Twenty-seven masks, all accounted for.' Naruto thought pulling out a Storage Scroll, one his mother had also left him filled with Storage Seals for each of the masks.
Going up the wall, the whiskered ravenette began sealing each of the masks away one-by-one while occasionally looking them over curiously. Unable to help but wonder what exactly they did, having not got that far into the history scrolls his mother left him to know what they did. Making Naruto curious to know what made them so dangerous, that they'd need to be locked away in this temple rather than sealed away somewhere in the Land of Whirlpools.
'But this one…this one is dangerous just from the feel of it.' Thought Naruto as he grabbed the next one, which resembled a Hannya Mask.
He didn't even need to do anything, yet Naruto could feel an intense aura of darkness radiating off it.
Quickly sealing the mask away, Naruto resumed collecting the rest until soon each of the masks was in the scroll. Though rather than leave, the Uzumaki searched the room just in case there was anything hidden within. Wanting to make sure he doesn't miss anything until he glanced at the black flames at the bottom of the wall, intrigued at their presence before getting an idea.
Biting his thumb, Naruto spread his blood over the flames and channeled Chakra into them. Wanting to see if anything would happen. Before quickly moving back, smirking as the flames suddenly came to life before traveling up the wall as they burned it away.
Though once the wall was completely burned away, Naruto frowned in confusion when the only thing revealed was a small hidden compartment with a book inside. Grabbing it, Naruto saw it looked rather worn and well-used yet still being in good condition, while on the front was a strange symbol. At the center was a white crescent moon with two stars in it, six points emerging it around the moon, three black and three white, on either side were three sets of wings while the one on the right were white feathered wings and the left were black bat-like wings. While below were two serpentine dragons, coiled together, devouring their own tails.
'Now what's so important about this book that it'd be sealed away behind the masks?' Naruto, wondered as he opened the book, flipping through it to see what exactly was written inside before stopping when he saw a title.
"The Art of Devil Forgery?" Naruto muttered, now very intrigued of just what was in this book before sealing it away to read later.
Doing another search of the room before leaving once he was sure there wasn't anything else hidden inside, Naruto headed back to the entrance. Soon getting the memories of his Shadow Clones back, showing they had their own luck in their searches. Having found various scrolls, tomes, journals, even other relics that had been hidden away in the temple. All of which they had sealed away and left him to collect at the entrance. Finding the scrolls when he arrived before putting them away, pleased at everything he's managed to recover and eager to begin going over it all.
But before he went outside, Naruto created a few more clones and sent them out to check the perimeter again. Wanting to be sure that whoever killed the guards hadn't simply been lying in wait for someone else to arrive to ambush. After his clones dispelled showing no one else around, Naruto stepped out into the storm and took off back to the Naka Shrine to go over his findings.
'This went much better than I hoped it would.' Naruto thought, pleased at his success.
Not only did he retrieve the masks, he also got the chance to kill some Konoha Ninja while framing Iwa in the process, as well as recover even more hidden items that his clan left behind and no one would be the wiser it was him. Even the unknown person who killed the guards would likely be pinned on Iwa, thanks to the setup he made from the team he killed.
'Now I just to need to get back and I'm-' Thought Naruto before his eyes widened when he saw a white streak coming towards him.
With it only being thanks to his Sharingan he was able to dodge in time, avoiding a tanto that would slashed him across the chest. The whiskered ravenette backflipped away while releasing his tiger claws, looking at who attacked him before mentally cursing when he saw an Anbu wearing a dog mask. The only discernible trait being their spiky silver hair and that they were male.
'Of course.' Naruto thought, scowling behind his masks, knowing he should've expected something to go wrong.
Watching the Anbu warily to see if they'd make the first move only for them to stay in their current position, holding their tanto loosely. Though Naruto was sure they were observing him just as closely to see what he'll do.
'Okay, let's see how they handle this.' Thought Naruto, channeling Wind Chakra into his claws and channeling Chakra through his body.
Before he shot towards the Anbu swinging his claws, intent to take their head off before they can react. Only for the Anbu to swing his tanto as it became enflamed in a White Chakra, catching it between Naruto's claws and twisting it, knocking Naruto's arm away. With the Uzumaki swinging his other claws at the Anbu's abdomen to disembowel them. But the Anbu stopped the strike again, blocking the claws with his arm bracer, surprising Naruto it was strong enough to block his weapon.
'The bracers and his armor as a whole are lined with Fūinjutsu and it seems like he's channel what I'm guessing is Earth Chakra into them, further increasing their sturdiness and durability. Either the equipment that the village provides the Anbu is truly top of the line or this Anbu took a great amount of time and care customizing his equipment.' Naruto thought as his natural affinity for Fūinjutsu, combined with his Sharingan, allowed him to spot and analyze the seals lining the Anbu's armor as well as see the chakra he's channeling into said armor.
Though not letting it distract him, Naruto backflipped slamming his foot into the Anbu's chest as he did so kicking them away from him. Following it by kicking off the branch he landed on, launching himself at the Anbu again while holding his claws in front of him, ready to cut them apart. Seeing the Anbu skidding on the ground from his kick, only to jump up at him with their tanto held back.
Smirking behind his masks, Naruto waited until they were close enough before swinging his claws, the Anbu swinging his sword at the same time as they went past each other.
'It's ov-' Naruto thought, believing he killed the Anbu only for his eyes to widen when he looked at his claws, seeing the three on his right hand had been cut off, not expecting the Anbu's sword to be that strong.
'That White Chakra really is no joke if it can not only clash with Wind Chakra-enhanced blades, but cut through them rather than the other way around.' Naruto thought to himself as he looked over his shoulder with his Sharingan focused on the White Chakra that enshrouded the Anbu's blade.
With the whiskered ravenette quickly turning around, throwing the remains of the destroyed tekagi-shuko at the Anbu, who knocked it aside with their tanto. This giving Naruto a moment to close the distance between them, slamming his shoulder into the Anbu's chest making them grunt from the strike. Before following it by bringing his elbow up into their chin, making the Anbu's head snap back.
Not stopping there, Naruto then swung the claws on his left hand upward at the Anbu's chest to tear it open before he was stopped again, when the Anbu caught his tanto between the claws stopping them. Naruto was then surprised once more when he saw lightning flaring to life in the Anbu's free hand as he heard the sound of a thousand chirping birds fill the area before he grit his teeth when the Anbu suddenly spun around him, slamming his elbow into his back. Followed by him smashing his lightning-covered hand into it as well.
'Chidori: Stun Gauntlet!' Kakashi mentally exclaimed, his alliance with Orochimaru having allowed him to develop the various Ninjutsu in his arsenal and discover new ways of utilizing them.
One of which was the Chidori: Stun Gauntlet, as less powerful variation of the Chidori that was meant to incapacitate targets that had to be captured alive. Rather than punching through them with lightning-infused fist meant to pierce through its target, the Chidori: Stun Gauntlet immobilized its targets by allowing the Lightning Chakra to course through their body to either stun and paralyze them or even knock them out.
With Naruto feeling his body spasm from the lightning, as if he was just hit with a cattle prod. Made only worse from the rain serving as a natural conductor, intensifying the impact and feeling of the electricity coursing through his body. Acting fast, Naruto used a Substitution, switching places with a log much to his relief. Though he still twitched slightly from the shock.
Seeing the Anbu had found him before lunging at him, Naruto quickly threw down some smoke bombs just as the Anbu swung their sword at him. Cut right through the cloud of smoke with a slash of pure White Chakra, causing the smoke to disperse a bit as the Anbu look around for any sign of the Uzumaki.
"Hey Inu!" Naruto shouted, launching at the Anbu from the left swinging his claws at them, which the Anbu immediately blocked with his tanto.
"Over here!" Said another Naruto coming from the right, only for the Anbu to thrust his hand it out hitting him with the lightning causing "Naruto" to vanish in a puff of smoke.
Before the Anbu then quickly redirected the first Naruto's tiger claws downward towards a third Naruto, having them stab each other and dispel. With the Anbu then throwing his tanto into the air at a fourth Naruto above him. Only to frown when that was revealed to be another Shadow Clone as well.
'If they were all clones, then where's the-' The Anbu thought before his eyes widened when he heard a hissing sound, looking to see a log right below him with an Explosive Tag on it.
'The first one was real?!' Thought the Anbu upon seeing the log was right where the first Naruto had been, realizing the Uzumaki made him think he was just another clone.
Acting fast, the Anbu used a Shunshin getting up into the air, retrieving his tanto and escaping the explosion just as the tag detonated. Only to grunt when Naruto appeared above him, slamming his knee into the Anbu's back knocking him straight back to the ground.
Though surprised by the sudden attack, the Anbu managed to recover, flipping through the air to land on his feet. Doing so in time to raise his blade as he reignited the White Chakra that coated it, deflecting Naruto's tiger claws from cutting through his neck before raising his arm to block a follow-up kick. Before then grabbing the whiskered ravenette's ankle, electrocuting and stunning the Uzumaki as he then spun around, slamming Naruto into another clone before charging him from behind.
But was surprised again when they both burst into smoke, seeing it was either another clone that hit him or Naruto switched with it. The Anbu though quickly turned to the side, raising his arms blocking a shoulder tackle from another Naruto, managing to cut the Uzumaki with his tanto. Hard enough to draw blood, showing he's the real one instead of a clone.
Only to grunt when Naruto spun around slamming his elbow into his side, making the Anbu stumble from the blow. With Naruto following it by getting behind, thrusting his tiger claws forward into the Anbu's back. Or he would have, if the Anbu didn't maneuver is tanto behind him blocking the strike before then backflipping over and behind Naruto.
Grabbing Naruto's shoulder with his free hand, the Anbu sent electricity through his body, enough to knock him out this time, believing he won the fight. Until Naruto vanished in a puff of smoke, being replaced with a log with another Paper Bomb attached to it. One that detonated before the Anbu could jump back.
Grunting in pain as the log exploded, throwing him back as he was cut or stabbed by wooden splinters and shrapnel hitting his body.
"You're done! Gravity Style: Repulsion Jutsu!" Naruto said, appearing behind the Anbu with his hand held out, releasing a burst of gravity then launched the Anbu back the way he came.
Letting out another grunt when he crashed right into the tree, the Anbu didn't have time to recover as he then saw Naruto throw numerous, sparking objects all around him.
'Firecracker bombs?!' The Anbu thought surprised, not expecting to see Naruto using those along with Explosive Tags, before the firecrackers detonated engulfing him in multiple explosions.
Luckily, the Anbu was able to jump out of the explosions, but not unscathed covered in burns and scorch marks covering his body. Before gagging when Naruto lunged at him slamming his knee into the Anbu's back, knocking him to the ground as Naruto pinned him down.
"Die." Stated Naruto, grabbing the Anbu's head to make it burst.
Unfortunately, Naruto was the one shocked this time when the Anbu began glowing and transformed into lightning, revealing it was just a Lightning Style: Shadow Clone. Crying out in pain as the lightning surged through his body, leaving the Uzumaki stunned and unable to move.
Mentally cursing as he then heard the sound of kunai and shuriken cutting through foliage, knowing they were coming at him.
'Come on…move!' Naruto thought while channeling Chakra through his body to shake off the shock.
Succeeding in regaining his bearings in time to quickly move, throwing his kunai and shuriken while deflecting multiple ones coming at him from the trees before he began looking around for where the Anbu was. Frowning when he didn't see any sign of him in the trees or in the air to ambush him.
'Not to the sides, not behind, not above. Which means the only place left is…' Naruto thought, glancing down before immediately jumping back.
Feeling relieved that he did so as, not a moment later, the Anbu burst from the ground while thrusting his blade upwards in a strike that would've cut right through Naruto's head. Only for his eyes widen when the tanto still succeeded in slicing through his fox mask, cutting the upper left corner of it off. Coming dangerously close to almost cutting out his eye, leaving Naruto very relieved he moved when he did.
Skidding back, Naruto narrowed his eyes at the Anbu, while the Anbu looked at him in shock after getting a good look at his exposed eye.
'What?! The Sharingan?! But…how?! Minato-sensei and Kushina-senpai didn't have Uchiha blood! Or…could they? Did Minato-sensei…' Thought the Anbu, wondering if perhaps his sensei did have Uchiha blood with the Sharingan simply passing him over but managed to awaken in Naruto, but that wouldn't explain his sudden change in appearance.
'Well…if that's the case then I might need to start trying a little.' The Anbu thought, gripping his tanto tightly.
Naruto's eyes widened in shock when the Anbu suddenly shot forward at him, moving much faster than before. With it only being thanks to his Sharingan that he was able to react in time, blocking the Anbu's tanto with his tiger claws. Only to then be forced to raise his arm blocking a spin kick from the Anbu, grunting at the impact.
The Uzumaki then quickly jumped back when the Anbu thrust his lightning-covered hand at him, not wanting to get hit by that again. Before gritting his teeth when the Anbu merely closed the distance between them, slamming his fist into Naruto's chest, sending electricity surging through him once more. Using a Substitution before he could be further stunned, Naruto cursed as the Anbu was on him again, rapidly swinging his tanto.
Blocking or deflecting his strikes with his tiger claws, Naruto kept moving back trying to put some distance between him and the Anbu, only for the Anbu to keep pursuing him. Leaving the whiskered ravenette unable to get a chance to retaliate or think of his next move.
'There!' Thought Naruto, seeing a chance as he immediately backflipped slamming his foot into the Anbu's chin, sending them stumbling back.
Taking the opportunity, Naruto jumped back while throwing some flashbangs and smoke bombs at the Anbu to disorient and blind them. Before he then moved behind a tree, creating three Shadow Clones he sent out while the real Naruto jumped up into the trees. Hiding himself while still having a view of the Anbu as his clones went to attack, waiting for his moment to strike. Only to tense when he sensed someone behind him, turning around and raising his tiger claws blocking the Anbu's tanto from impaling him before spotting one of his clones lunging at the Anbu from behind as Naruto performed a quick Substitution with the clone.
Not surprised when the Anbu then turned and kicking his leg back at the clone, dispelling it, and deflecting his tiger claws. Though he didn't let that stop him as Naruto kept going. Slamming his shoulder into the Anbu, knocking him off the branch he was on before dropping down after him. Naruto delivered a kick to the Anbu's head only for them to block it and grab his ankle. Yanking the whiskered ravenette close before slamming their fist into his chest.
Gritting his teeth as he was electrocuted again, but this time Naruto managed to focus long enough to slash the Anbu across the arm with his tiger claws. Not deep enough to be considered serious, but enough to force the Anbu to retreat.
Knowing he couldn't stop now, Naruto rushed at the Anbu while swinging his Wind Chakra-coated tiger claws at him. Which the Anbu deflected with his tanto before moving closer to slice the Genin across his chest, only for Naruto to block the strike in turn. Catching the tanto between his claws before twisting his arm around, succeeding in knocking the tanto out of the Anbu's hand.
Smirking at this, Naruto thrust his claws forward at the Anbu's chest. Missing, when they dropped into a crouch delivering a sweeping kick at his legs only for the Uzumaki to jump over it before spinning in the air and slamming his foot into the Anbu's head. Who blocked it while grabbing his ankle to try and pull Naruto close again.
But expecting this, Naruto twisted his body around before slamming his other foot into the Anbu's head. Forcing him to let go as he skidded across the ground from the impact with Naruto following after the Anbu as he swiped at him with his claws, which the Anbu rolled under as he then dived to his tanto retrieving it. Spinning around and swinging it, deflecting Naruto's claws when he tried stabbing him.
Flipping his tanto around, the Anbu kept spinning before thrusting the tanto behind him to stab Naruto through the chest. Moving fast enough that he wouldn't have time to try blocking or deflecting it. Something Naruto realized as he saw the tanto coming closer to stab him, only to notice it seemed to start moving slower. This giving the whiskered ravenette enough time jump back before the tanto could even cut him.
Only to then gag when the Anbu appeared right in front of him, smashing his lightning-covered fist into his chest. Making Naruto gag from the hit and the lightning going through him again before he was then knocked back by a spin kick from the Anbu, skidding across the ground.
'I think it's time to switch things up.' Thought the Anbu while seeing Naruto immediately get back up to his feet, looking at his eye to see a second tomoe has appeared in it.
Guessing it's the same for his other, still hidden, eye as well.
"Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!" Said the Anbu going through handsigns before expelling a powerful blast of wind at Naruto, surprising him that he's now using Ninjutsu.
"Wind Style: Air Bullets!" Naruto said once he used a Substitution to get out of the way of the Great Breakthrough, making a handsign as he fired several air bullets at the Anbu from above.
"Wind Style: Drilling Air Bullet!" The Anbu said while making handsigns before firing much larger and stronger, spiraling balls of wind.
Ones that overpowered Naruto's own air bullets and slammed right into him, sending the Uzumaki flying higher up into the air. Keeping it up, the Anbu went through handsigns while channeling Wind Chakra into his tanto.
"Wind Style: Wind Cutter Jutsu!" Said the Anbu while swinging his tanto up at Naruto, releasing multiple blades of wind mixed with White Chakra up at the whiskered ravenette.
Naruto's eyes widened at the sight of the wind blades coming at him before using a Substitution switching with a log that was sliced to pieces, once it was hit. But despite nearly being hit by it, Naruto couldn't help but smirk eagerly.
"Thanks for all the new Jutsu. Wind Style: Wind Cutter Jutsu!" Naruto said, having been copying the Wind Style Ninjutsu the Anbu used.
Pleased at the chance to learn more Wind Style Techniques, before swinging his tiger claws at the Anbu while releasing several blades of wind at him. Amazed at the extent he can already use the Jutsu despite his lack of experience in using it, helped by his intermediate mastery of Wind Chakra.
"Wind Style: Divine Wind!" The Anbu said, going through handsigns and blowing out a gust of wind that formed into several mini tornadoes that clashed against the wind blades.
Resulting in the techniques releasing a blast of wind strong enough to push Naruto and the Anbu back.
'You're dead now.' Naruto thought, smirking as he pulled out several firecrackers and went to light them, knowing how he can finally kill the Anbu.
But before he could light the firecrackers, Naruto tensed when suddenly twelve more Anbu appeared surrounding him and the first one.
'Shit.' Thought Naruto, seeing he's now surrounded and outnumbered, believing that he might be able to handle one Anbu.
Maybe two if he had time to prepare and strategize.
But going against thirteen, he knew he'd likely need to use his Jūryokuton and hope he can kill them all by increasing the surrounding gravity enough to where they're crushed from the pressure. It was risky since there was a good chance that he might get caught in it too, but now Naruto couldn't afford to take any chances and needed to kill them all at once.
Though before Naruto could think on it further, he got another shock when the dog-masked Anbu went through handsigns.
"Lightning Style: Lightning Beast Tracking Fang!" Said the Anbu, gathering lightning in both his hands before throwing them out.
Naruto's eyes widened when multiple lightning beasts formed, while being surprised when he could barely keep track of their high-speed movements even with his Sharingan. This being made only more difficult with how unpredictable they were moving, as well. Leaving him only able to watch as the other Anbu moved to dodge the beasts, only for them to be too slow as the beasts shot forward and began tearing through them. Watching as they were either electrocuted before hitting the ground dead or the lightning beasts actually shot right through them, leaving smoking holes in their bodies. The sight made Naruto look around with wide eyes before looking at the Anbu warily, seeing how in less than a minute he killed twelve other Anbu like it was nothing. Realizing that the entire time they were fighting, he had been holding back.
Something that was a serious blow to Naruto's pride but at the same time, he looked at the Anbu in confusion as to why exactly he would kill his own allies.
"…While I'm not surprised Konoha Ninja would kill or turn on each other, despite how much they preach that Will of Fire crap. Why exactly did you do that?" Questioned Naruto, unable to help himself but ask why he did that.
"I used to believe in the Will of Fire. But…circumstances have made me realize that not everyone believes in it, and only use it as a shield for their own actions. But even if that weren't the case, these aren't my comrades. Only being loyal to their master, carrying out any orders he gives them, and it's likely he wanted them to capture you, Naruto." Said the Anbu, making Naruto tense that he knew who he was, now knowing he needed to kill him.
"Who are you?!" Naruto demanded, wanting to know how he knew it was him only to be shocked once more when the Anbu took off his mask, showing his own facemask and a scar going through his left eye, a Sharingan eye.
"My name's Kakashi Hatake, I'm Minato-sensei's last remaining student. But you already knew that, didn't you." Kakashi replied as Naruto looked at him in shock and disbelief.
"You…I sensed you before…" Said Naruto as he looked at Kakashi, now getting a better feel for his Chakra Signature.
Having felt it several times before, whenever he talks to Orochimaru he's always gotten the feeling he was being watched. At first he put it down to the general uneasiness that came from being around Orochimaru, a powerful Ninja that could kill him before he could even blink. But as more time passed, Naruto knew it was someone else watching him.
The only thing that kept him from reacting is that so far nothing had happened with his Jūryokuton still being a secret from the Hokage and the rest of the village. And the fact that Orochimaru never reacted to it either, doubting the Sannin would miss someone spying on him. So Naruto had put it down to the Snake Sannin having one of his agents close by whenever they conversed, figuring whoever it was wasn't a threat. Even during the times when Orochimaru wasn't around, he didn't react. Like when he knew someone had been following him from the Naka Shrine.
"I'm not surprised you sensed me before, Minato-sensei and Kushina-senpai were pretty good sensors, themselves. But as you can see, I'm not really a threat to you. If I was, then we wouldn't be talking right now." Said Kakashi, with Naruto nodding slowly in response while still being on guard.
"Right…how about we save time with niceties and leave before anyone else shows up, Scarecrow." Naruto said, not really interested in exchanging pleasantries at the moment, knowing if these Anbu arrived then more could be on their way right now.
"Yeah. Let's go." Said Kakashi, putting his mask back on before he and Naruto rushed off through the trees back to the Naka Shrine.
So, what did you think, good. Yep we see Naruto has made himself at home in the Naka Shrine, turning it into his own lair, along with getting a look in his head at his thoughts on certain matters, seeing how he's changed since embracing Orochimaru's ideology on chaos. Leaving Naruto willing to take advantage he can get and use any resource he can get his hands on.
Before we see him planning to make a move to collect the masks in the Mask Storage Temple, thanks to a storm hitting Konoha providing the perfect cover. Only to then discover a hidden stairwell in the Naka Shrine after the doors blown open, knocking around the tatami mats. Leading to Naruto discovering a stone tablet he can only read thanks to the Sharingan, though not entirely at the moment.
As we then see Naruto getting ready to head out, gathering his weapons and ensuring now can figure out his identity, wearing two masks and a Transformation Jutsu. Along with deactivating gravity on him and turning off his training weights, allowing him to move much faster as he heads for the temple. Where we also get a look at what Naruto's planning to do once he leaves Konoha, knowing despite his abilities, he's going to need allies if he hopes to destroy the Hidden Village System.
Only to be pulled from his thoughts when he spots a team of Ninja approaching him, consisting of Kō Hyūga, Gaku Inuzuka, Izumo and Kotetsu. With Naruto taking the chance to take them out, killing Kō first knowing he'd be the biggest threat with his Byakugan. Before then using the Hidden Mist Jutsu and his own Silent Killing Technique (the whistle is Death's Whistle from Puss in Boots The Last Wish), taking Izumo and Kotetsu, before finishing Gaku and his Ninken.
Leaving Naruto pleased at taking out a team of Jōnin and Chūnin, with some planning and prep time, while sealing away Kō's, Izumo's and Kotetsu's bodies to find out what he can get from their minds later. Along with framing it to look like they were killed by Iwa Ninja, after hearing them mention Iwa Ninja when they found Kō's body. Knowing it'll help his own plans by having Konoha and Iwa at each other's throats.
Next we see Naruto arriving at the temple, only to find all the guards already dead, checking to make sure he's alone before going inside. Sending some clones to search the temple while he recovers the masks. With Naruto also finding a very special book hidden along with them about Devil Forgery (which will be explained, but let's see if anyone knows what it's from). While his clones find their own hidden treasures they leave for Naruto to collect.
Though after leaving the temple to return to the Naka Shrine, Naruto's attacked by an Anbu wearing a dog mask and with spiky silver hair. Leading to a fight as Naruto's able to hold his own, unaware the Anbu's holding back. Only starting to try after seeing Naruto has the Sharingan, which also leads to Naruto developing a second tomoe, along with copying some new Wind Style Ninjutsu.
Finally we see before the fight ends, Naruto and the Anbu are surrounded by twelve ROOT Anbu, worrying Naruto at how he's going to get out of this. Only to be shocked when the dog-masked Anbu takes them all out in an instant, along with realizing he'd been holding back during their fight. Being shocked again when he sees it's Kakashi, as well as realizing he's the mysterious person he's been sensing whenever he converses with Orochimaru.
Before the two head back to the Naka Shrine, not wanting to risk anyone else showing up by staying to talk. So, for those that like the story, thanks for your support. For those that don't or at least don't like the direction taken, you're more than welcomed to drop the story. But thanks for giving the story a chance anyway.
Storm out
