[LOG FILE 049: AGON WASTES, AETHER]
As the elevator descended I looked over the map for the Agon Wastes. It seemed there were some doors I could access now that I had both the Super Missile and the Seeker Launcher. One of those doors happened to be near the main Portal Generator of the sector, and with that door being relatively close to where the elevator would land I decided that would be my first destination.
The elevator finally came to a stop and I quickly proceeded to the room I had chosen. Upon arrival I found another half-pipe which I quickly scaled with my Boost Ball, and was greeted with the sight of a purple blast shield. Toggling the Seeker Launcher I locked on to the five nodes around the shield and fired a salvo of synchronized missiles which did as advertised, destroying the nodes and the blast shield shortly after. I went through the door and was greeted by a small access panel, which I scanned to activate a new elevator that connected directly to the Torvus Bog.
The elevator would no doubt prove convenient once I concluded my business in the Agon Wastes, but with nothing else in the chamber I turned to leave the way I entered. Before I returned to the base of the half-pipe I noticed that there was a portal on the other ledge. I decided to check it out and made a quick trip to Dark Aether, managing to snag a couple Missile Expansions without much issue before returning back to Aether itself.
Continuing to explore the Wastes, I wasn't able to make as much headway as I had hoped. The Space Pirate base only had another Missile Expansion, and the door I thought I could access still remained out of reach. With nowhere else to go, it would seem it was time to return to the Torvus Bog using the new shortcut I had found…
