"Arrggh!", a frustrated Kai shouted as he have been arguing with Molly about the status of their current "friendship", as Molly like to put much to Kai's annoyance and irritation, as they been going at it for few minutes, " Listen, McGee, for the last time, our arrangement, this situation that we have here" he says as he pointed to both himself and Molly, " Is strictly business, I did not come here to be friends, I came here to protect you and watch out for you, are we clear?", Kai says as if he speaking to a small child despite both him and Molly being similar ages, Molly looked at Kai, pondering his words, however she suddenly smiled as she managed to put a positive spin on his claims, " You just said you want to protect and watch out for me" , she said, "Yes", Kai said frustrated by his current position, " if you really didn't want friends why you then why did you specifically say that you want project and watch over me, hmm?", Molly said with a grin on her face, Kai flustered and irritated, turned red, " Oh Raven Queen, give me strength", he said as he put his face in his hand.
Molly noticed this and walked closer to him, " Look, I know you said you didn't come here to be friends but we're probably going be spending a lot of time together, so I hope that we can eventually became that," she said with a smile beaming with positivity that radiated from her, Kai in response lowered his hand, he looked at Molly as his mind pondered about Molly overwhelming positivity as he was taken aback by it, Kai just sighed as he had no words left to say to the girl.

Unbeknownst to them a small rumble came from the crater where the ghost was supposedly defeated, suddenly chains shoot out of the crater and wrapped themselves around Kai's neck, Molly jumped back, startled from the surprise as she saw Kai being pulled into the air by the chains, she could see him struggling, grabbing onto the chains as they lift him higher and higher.
From the crater the ghost pulled himself out and held Kai next to him via the chains, " You really thought you could beat me that easily", The Ghost said, Kai want to retort but chains around his neck were too tight for any words to be spoken, The Ghost looked at Molly and grinned, " Whether you're a ghost hunter or not, you've clearly are a fool all the same", he said ," But don't not threat boy for you will not see me claim this girl's soul", The Ghost said causing both Molly and Kai to look at him with shock, " Cause you'll be dead before I do!", he said as he tighten the chains around Kai's neck until the boy couldn't hold on anymore, Kai looked at Molly one last time squeaking out the words "Run", before going limp as his body seemed to be lifeless, The Ghost then threw Kai body away as it hit a wall and dropped to the ground, Molly was petrified as not only did she witness The Ghost seemingly kill someone but also her new potential friend/ protector was now gone, leaving her open for The Ghost to take her soul as well as her Life.
The Ghost stretched out his hand to grab Molly, sealing her fate, however she did not feel the attack she suddenly she was flying in the air and while a normal person would be freaking out at the sight of this Molly knew exactly why she was flying as she looked up her eyes widened and her mouth grinned as Scratch was carrying her away to safety.
"Scratch!", she shouted with glee as he landed her on the ground, they shared a hug that felt long as Scratch had been searching and worrying for her, "Molly, are you okay, I've been searching everywhere for you", he said franticly "You suddenly got dragged by chains out of the house and while normally I would applaud for such an interesting scare technique but what we saw they didn't seem like they planned on just doing that just now", Scratch said as Molly prepared to tell him about the events that just transpired before her.
