"Why did you have to call Bella? And why did you have to say that I was going to use her to get back at Masen?" I snapped as I called Mom.
I was fucking done with everyone.
"How do you know I called Bella?" She asked.
"That's not the point I'm trying to make here," I said.
"What's going on between you two?" She asked.
"That's none of your business... That's none of anyone else's business," I said, "And whatever the slight possibility of anything happening was there, even that is over! So congratulations! You did a great job!"
I think it was slowly hitting me.
It was actually over!
She made it very clear that she had no feelings for me!
"I thought you could hurt her in your anger..." she said.
"Seriously, Mom? Do you really think that low of me? Do you seriously think that I was going to use her to get back at Masen?" I shook my head.
"Ummm... Let me talk to her... I'll tell her that I had a misunderstanding..." she said after some time.
"No, you're not going to do that!" I said, "I don't want you to talk to anyone! Everyone is an adult here, remember? Please, please let us handle this our way."
"So do you want me to just watch my children suffer?" She said, "I can't see Masen and you fight like this. I also consider Bella as my child. I can't see her getting hurt. Of course, I'm going to try to help whatever I can."
"Mom..." I took a deep breath, "Believe me, you're not helping at all! You're making everything worse!"
"I'm your mother. You should know that I wouldn't want anything but your happiness. Why would I want to make it worse?" She was crying now.
I rubbed my face in frustration.
Seriously now?
Was I supposed to deal with this emotional drama right now?
"Mom, please..." I said, "I don't want you to cry, okay?"
"You've honestly hurt me," she said, "How can you believe that I'd want to make something worse? You are my children! It's hurting me so much to see you fight like this..."
I wanted to bang my head against the wall!
I had no strength to handle this right now!
"Okay, Mom... I'm sorry." I said to end the matter.
