The Doctor had experienced Retro-Regeneration, reverting to a past incarnation, but with all the memories and wisdom of his current self-intact. He looked at Porsha and Rusty with a mix of amusement and fatigue. "Let's get you both back to Calatonia," he said, his new/old northern accent taking Porsha by surprise. As they stepped out of the TARDIS, the city was in a state of relief and confusion, the recent events still echoing in their minds. He now had the face of the 9th Doctor, a reminder of his more battle-hardened past.

DOCTOR WHO
RETURN OF THE NINTH
Buster Moon and the rest of the New Moon troupe rushed to greet them, their faces a mix of shock and joy. "You're okay!" Buster exclaimed, hugging Porsha tightly. "And who's your new friend?" he asked, eyeing Rusty curiously. The Doctor stepped forward, his expression solemn. "This is Rusty," he said. "An impure Dalek that's chosen a different path. Its been awhile since i called a Dalek Rusty" The troupe looked at the creature with a mix of fear and fascination. "Also, I Retro Regenerated into my 9th incarnation" the doctor said with a smile "but the important thing is that we're all safe and the Daleks are gone."
Porsha took a deep breath, looking at the Doctor's new form. "You're still you," she said, a hint of a smile playing on her lips. "More or less," the Doctor replied, patting Rusty on its metallic casing. "But we've got work to do. We need to find Rusty a place where it can live in peace." The group nodded in agreement, knowing that the Doctor's words were more than just a suggestion. "I Could stay here" Rusty said with hope in its voice "I can help with the theatre and learn about your world." "Of course," Buster Moon said, his eyes shining with excitement. "You're part of the New Moon family now."
The Doctor turned to Porsha, his gaze intense. "I'm sorry for what I said before. I was wrong." Porsha looked into his eyes, seeing the sincerity behind the apology. "I know," she said softly. "But we can't change the past. We can only learn from it." The Doctor nodded, understanding the weight of her words. "Let's move forward then," he said, taking her injured paw in his hand. "Together." "Doctor, I wish to apologize for all the daleks have done to you" Rusty said with remorse in its robotic voice "But I am not like them I wish to help make amends" "We all make mistakes," the Doctor said, his grip on Porsha's paw tightening. "What matters is what we do next."
One evening, as the sun set over the city, Porsha approached the Doctor, her eyes filled with a question. "Doctor," she said, "why did you choose to regenerate into this face?" The Doctor looked at her, his expression thoughtful. "It's not something I can control, Porsha," he replied. "But I think it's because this face reminds me of a time when I had to fight hard for what I believed in. And maybe, just maybe, I needed that reminder now." "Well, you're still the same Doctor who helped me," Porsha said, leaning her head against his shoulder.
The Doctor and Porsha sat in the theatre's back row, watching the troupe perform a new show, "The Night of the Impure Dalek." Rusty had become a star, its mechanical movements and deep, resonant voice captivating audiences. The story of its redemption had become a symbol of hope for Calatonia. During a break, Rusty joined them, its lights dimming as it took a seat. "Thank you," it said, looking from Porsha to the Doctor. "For giving me a chance." The Doctor nodded. "You've earned it, Rusty," he said. "But remember, it's up to you to decide who you want to be." "I cannot be anything else but a dalek I need the casing to stay alive" "But what's inside that casing," Porsha interjected, "that's what counts."
The Doctor's eyes searched the theatre, his mind racing with possibilities. "I've seen so much," he murmured. "So much pain, so much destruction. And yet, here we are, creating something beautiful." He turned to Porsha. "You know, I've always liked this universe. It's got a certain...spark to it." Porsha's smile grew. "Is that why you're staying?" "For now," the Doctor said, his voice filled with a hint of mischief. "But I can't stay in one place for too long. There's always more to explore, more to save you know Porsha you could come with me" Porsha's eyes widened with excitement "But what about the theatre?" "The theatre will always be here," the Doctor assured her. "And so will your friends. But there's a whole universe out there to explore."
Buster Moon overheard their conversation, his own mind racing. "Doctor," he called out, "are you really thinking of leaving us?" The Doctor looked over, his gaze thoughtful. "Well, Buster, I've got a TARDIS to fix and a universe to save. But I'll be back to visit, I promise." Buster nodded, understanding the burden of the Doctor's travels. "And I will keep Porsha safe" The Doctor said with a firm nod.
"But before I go," the Doctor continued, standing up with newfound energy, "I've got an idea for the next show." The troupe gathered around, eager to hear his proposal. "How about a story of a timelord and an impure Dalek, finding friendship in the most unlikely of places?" Rusty's lights flickered with excitement, and Porsha's eyes lit up. "I'd like that," she said, a smile spreading across her face.
A few weeks later Porsha could hardly contain her excitement she Porsha Crystal an artic wolf who was not that important was about to have the adventure of a lifetime. The Doctor had returned to Calatonia, his TARDIS gleaming with new upgrades. "Are you sure about this?" Porsha asked, her voice a mix of excitement and fear. "I've never been surer," the Doctor replied, his new incarnation's north accent still taking some getting used to. "The universe is vast, and there's so much to see and learn." "won't the Tardis stick out like a sore thumb" Porsha asked gesturing to the blue police box "nope it uses a perception Filter so people will see it but will not think it's out of place" the Doctor said with a wink.
The Doctor had spent the last few days training Rusty on the basics of controlling its new emotions and interacting with organic life. Rusty had made remarkable progress, and the bond between it and Porsha was clear to see. "I'll miss you, Rusty," Porsha said, giving the Dalek a gentle pat on the casing. "And I shall miss you too, Porsha Crystal," Rusty replied. "But I shall remain here, learning and growing with the New Moon troupe." "You're going to be brilliant," the Doctor said, a proud smile on his face. "Just remember, the most important thing is to be kind."
So, the duo stepped into the Tardis which now had a sleeker interior with a more modern touch. "Ready?" the Doctor asked with a grin "Yes" Porsha said with a tremble in her voice.
"Then hold on" and with that the TARDIS took off with the familiar wheezing sound that Porsha had grown to love. "So where to first Past or Future or another planet anywhere you want to go" the Doctor asked. "How about we go see the Northern lights?" Porsha said with a smile. "Ah a classic choice" the Doctor said as he set the coordinates, and the TARDIS took off with a jolt.
When they arrived, they stepped out into the cold night of a desolate snowy landscape. The sky above them was a canvas of greens, blues, pinks, and purples, the auroras dancing in the sky. "It's beautiful" Porsha whispered. "Yes, it is," the Doctor said, his eyes on the phenomenon above. "But remember, Porsha, beauty is often found in the most unexpected places." "What cause the colors on the sky Doctor" Porsha asked with curiosity. "They're caused by solar particles colliding with the Earth's magnetic field," the Doctor replied, "It's like a cosmic light show, and we're on the front row."
The Doctor wrapped Porsha in a warm scarf and handed her a pair of gloves. "We've got to keep you warm," he said with a smile. "Thank you," she replied, her eyes never leaving the auroras. As they watched, the Doctor began to feel a strange tug at his timeline, a sense that something wasn't right. "Porsha," he said, turning to her, "I think we need to investigate this." Without another word, they set off into the snow, the Doctor leading the way with a sense of urgency that Porsha couldn't ignore.
As they approached the source of the auroras, they found a strange device buried in the ice. It hummed with an eerie energy that made the hairs on Porsha's neck stand on end. "This isn't natural," the Doctor murmured, his sonic screwdriver buzzing in his hand as he scanned the object. "It's a solar radiation absorber," he explained, "but it's unlike anyone I have seen before." The Doctor's expression grew serious as he realized the implications. "Someone's been manipulating the auroras, and not for aesthetic reasons," he said, his eyes narrowing.
Porsha looked around nervously, her heart racing. "What does that mean?" she asked. "It means we've got a new problem on our hands," the Doctor said, his voice tight with concern. "This could be dangerous. We need to find out who's behind this and why." He began to fiddle with the device, his mind racing with questions. "Who would want to harness the power of the auroras?" Porsha asked, her breath misting in the cold air. "Someone who knows about the potential of solar energy," the Doctor replied, "and someone with a very specific purpose."
"With that amount of power whoever is doing this would have enough energy to power a ship or even a weapon," the Doctor said, his brow furrowed in thought. "But why would they risk disrupting the natural order of things?" Porsha's curiosity was piqued, and she leaned in closer as the Doctor worked. The two of them suddenly felt they were being watched. The Doctor's head snapped up, and his eyes searched the darkness. "We're not alone," he whispered. Porsha turned around and froze "D... Doctor" she said trembling The Doctor turned to where she was looking to see beings that appeared to be made of shadows there out line was human, but they had jet-black smoke emitting around them the only features they had were two glowing red eyes that bore into their souls. Porsha was scared but the Doctor was intrigued "Porsha go hide in that bush I will deal with this" He whispered to her.
The Doctor stepped forward, his sonic screwdriver at the ready. "I am the Doctor, and you are?" He demanded, trying to keep his voice steady. The shadowy figures did not respond, but their red eyes remained fixated on him. They began to advance, their movements unnaturally fluid and silent. The Doctor activated his sonic screwdriver, sending a burst of energy towards them. The shadows recoiled for a moment before charging at him. He dodged and weaved, his instincts taking over as he had encountered many a strange enemy in his travels. But these beings were unlike anything he had ever faced. Suddenly he felt as if someone was choking him, he saw a black shadowy hand around his neck. "Doctor" Porsha called out from the bushes. The Shadowy figures turned to where they heard Porsha voice and let go of the doctor. "WHO ARE YOU" the Doctor yelled again trying to keep them talking while he figured out what was going on.
"We are what your species call shadow people we are an interdimensional race that exist in another plane of reality, and we are here to claim this energy" one of the figures finally spoke with a voice that seemed to echo through the night air. "But why?" The Doctor asked "So that we can become physical beings in this dimension and observe this species more effectively" The Doctor's mind raced as he tried to piece together what he knew about shadowy interdimensional beings. "But you're affecting the natural order of things!" Porsha shouted from her hiding place. "We do not care for your natural order," the creature hissed. "We have been watching, and we have found what we seek." The Doctor knew he had to act fast. "Porsha, get back to the TARDIS," he called out, his voice strained. "But what about you?" she protested. "I'll handle this," he assured her, his eyes never leaving the figures. "Just go." Reluctantly, Porsha retreated into the night, her paws sinking into the snow as she ran. "You are not of this species" the Shadowy figure said to The Doctor "You do not understand our purpose." "I understand enough," The Doctor said, his voice firm. "And I'm not going to let you take this energy."
The Doctor's sonic screwdriver buzzed to life as he pointed it at the device, his mind racing through possible solutions. The shadowy figures hissed and grew closer, their eyes glowing brighter. He had to disable the device before it could be used for their nefarious purposes. With a flick of his wrist, he sent a beam of light into the heart of the machine. It shuddered and groaned, and the auroras above began to fade. The shadowy figures roared in anger, their forms becoming more defined as the power drained from the device. "Your interference is noted," one of them said, its voice now clear and cold. "We will not forget this."
The Doctor took a step back, his eyes never leaving the figures. "If you wish to observe, do so," he said firmly. "But do not harm the innocent." The figures hovered for a moment before dissipating into the night. The Doctor let out a sigh of relief and turned to Porsha, who had emerged from the bushes. "Are you okay?" she asked, her voice trembling. "Yes," he said, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "But we need to report this to the IEIA." Just then one of the figure appeared briefly "HE IS RETURNING DOCTOR BE AWARE" and it vanished again. The Doctor's expression grew grim. "What did it mean by that?" Porsha asked. "It's a warning," the Doctor said, his gaze distant. "But we'll deal with that later. For now, let's get back to the Tardis Back in the warmth of the TARDIS, Porsha wrapped herself in a blanket as the Doctor began to explain the gravity of the situation. "The Shadow People are not to be underestimated," he said. "They're powerful and elusive. If they're after the auroras' energy, it could mean they're planning something big." Porsha nodded, her mind racing with the implications. "But we stopped them this time," she said, trying to find some comfort. "For now," the Doctor agreed. "But we must be vigilant. The universe is full of mysteries and dangers, and we've just uncovered one more." "But anyway, where to next?" The Doctor asked, eager to change the subject.
Porsha thought for a moment, then her eyes lit up. "How about we visit the Tudor era?" she suggested, her curiosity piqued by tales of human history she'd heard from the Doctor. "The Tudors, you say?" The Doctor's grin grew wider. "Ah, the time of Queen Elizabeth I, Shakespeare, and a bit of political intrigue. That's a brilliant choice!"
The TARDIS groaned and shuddered as it took off once more, hurtling through the fabric of time and space. When the doors opened, they stepped out into a bustling Tudor Street, the smells of roasting meats and the sound of laughter filling the air. The Doctor took in the surroundings with a nod of approval. "Just the place to keep our wits about us," he said, adjusting his hat. "woah Porsha you can go out wearing those clothes" he said pointing to her modern clothes from 2021 "well what do I do then" "there's a wardrobe it's the first left, second right, third on the left, go straight ahead, under the stairs, past the bins, fifth door on the right" he said with a smile.
Porsha nodded and took off to find the wardrobe, her paws pounding on the cold, stone floor. When she returned, she was dressed in a fine Tudor gown, looking every bit the lady of the era. "Perfect," the Doctor said, offering her his arm. "Now, let's not draw too much attention to ourselves." They blended into the crowd, the Doctor explaining the customs and dangers of the time as they went. He sniffed the air and knew exactly what year it was "1528 to be precise"
he said with a wink.
They wandered through the streets, taking in the sights and sounds of the bustling Tudor market. The Doctor stopped at a fruit vendor and picked up an orange, holding it up to Porsha. "See this? It's a rare luxury here, brought all the way from Spain. You're in for a treat." Porsha took a cautious sniff, then a bite. Her eyes widened with delight at the taste.
As they continued exploring, they found themselves in the grand hall of a nobleman's manor. The Doctor's curiosity was piqued by an unusual object displayed among the gleaming weapons and opulent tapestries. It was a small, metallic sphere, its surface etched with alien symbols. "Ah, what have we here?" he murmured, gently lifting the sphere. It hummed faintly in his hand, the symbols pulsing with a soft light. "What do you think you're doing" came a posh English voice.
The Doctor spun around to face the nobleman, who was eyeing him suspiciously. "I was just admiring your... unique collection," the Doctor said, flashing a disarming smile. The nobleman's eyes narrowed, but he didn't seem overly concerned. "That's a peculiar artifact you have there," Porsha said, her voice tinged with awe. "Indeed," the nobleman replied. "It's said to have been found in a shipwreck, brought back from the New World. A curiosity, nothing more." "Yeah, ok sir but it doesn't look manmade does it" The Doctor said, studying the sphere closely.
The nobleman's gaze sharpened. "What makes you say that?" "Well, for starters, these symbols," the Doctor said, pointing to the pulsing lights. "They're not from any human language I've encountered." The nobleman took a step closer, his curiosity piqued. "Could it be... alien?" Porsha whispered. The Doctor nodded. "Very likely. And if it is, it could be a danger to the timeline."
He turned to the nobleman. "Sir, I must insist that you hand over this artifact. It doesn't belong here, and if it falls into the wrong hands, it could change the course of history." The nobleman chuckled, amused by the Doctor's claim. "I assure you, it's quite safe with me. It's nothing more than a trinket, really." But the Doctor was adamant. "Please, trust me. This could have dire consequences." The nobleman, sensing the urgency in his voice, hesitated before finally relinquishing the sphere.
The Doctor quickly scanned the object with his sonic screwdriver, confirming his suspicion. "This is much more than a mere trinket," he murmured to Porsha. "It's a piece of advanced technology, from a time and place that is not of this earth." He pocketed the sphere, a sense of responsibility weighing heavily on him. "We need to get back to the TARDIS, for safekeeping. It could change everything we know about the Tudor era if it were to be misused."
They slipped out of the manor unnoticed, weaving through the crowded streets. The Doctor's mind raced with the implications of what they had found. If aliens had indeed visited Earth centuries ago, it could mean that humanity's development had been influenced in ways that history had never recorded. "We must be careful, Porsha," he said, his voice low. "The timeline is delicate, and we must ensure that nothing we do here alters the course of history."
Porsha nodded solemnly, her eyes wide with the gravity of the situation. They made their way back to the TARDIS, the Doctor's eyes darting around, ever vigilant for any sign of trouble. Once inside, he locked the doors and set the coordinates for home. "We need to return to Calatonia and figure out what this means," he said, placing the sphere in a secure compartment. "But for now, let's just enjoy the rest of our adventure were too next."
" I'm so into like vintage stuff right know I would love to meet Michael Jackson" Porsha said her tail wagging slightly. "Michael Jackson? The king of pop?" The Doctor asked with a smile Porsha nodded her head excitedly ".!" she said "He's like the biggest singer and dancer ever!" "Yeah, absolutely Porsha I would love to see what Michael Jackson is as an animal in this universe" The Doctor said as he set the TARDIS to the time and place where Michael would be.
"Ok let's err July 4th, 1997, Munich Germany" The Doctor muttered to himself as he turned the dials on the TARDIS. The TARDIS groaned and shuddered as it landed with a gentle thump. "Alright Porsha we're here" The Doctor said as they stepped out into a bustling concert venue. The air was electric with excitement and anticipation as fans of all ages waited eagerly for the show to start. "Wait how do we get in" Porsha asked looking at the crowd of over 150,000 people. "Leave that to me" The Doctor said as he pulled out the psychic paper from his pocket "Just follow me" He flashed the paper at a security guard who immediately ushered them backstage.
As they walked backstage Porsha couldn't believe her eyes Michael Jackson was right there, dressed in his iconic white suit and gloves, rehearsing his moonwalk. His fur was mostly black with patches of silvery white on his head and paws giving him a unique look that made him stand out even more. "Porsha meet Michael Jackson" The Doctor said with a flourish. Porsha was starstruck "Hi Mr. Jackson I'm a huge fan" she said her voice quivering with excitement. Michael looked over and gave them a warm smile "Thanks for coming to my show I hope you enjoy it" he said before turning back to his rehearsal. The Doctor was also impressed that this universe knew what it was doing this version of MJ was a panther with vitiligo which in the animal kingdom is actually not uncommon but to see it mirrored in a panther was quite the sight. A security guard walked over "you will be able to meet with Michael after the show if you wish to stay" he said.
The Doctor and Porsha watched in amazement as Michael continued to rehearse his moves, his silvery fur shimmering under the stage lights. They couldn't help but notice that despite his condition, he danced with the same passion and grace as the human Michael Jackson. "He's incredible," Porsha whispered, her eyes glued to the panther's every move. "Yes," the Doctor agreed, his gaze also captivated by the performance. "The show must go on," he murmured to himself, feeling a strange kinship with the animal performer. Porsha suddenly looked very sad "What's up" the Doctor asked "it's just sad that twelve years from now he will die" she said referring to the events in the future "Yes I know but he will become the most famous dancer and singer in the history of music, his legacy will live on forever" the Doctor said trying to cheer her up.
The Doctor couldn't resist the urge to try a few of Michael's moves himself, much to Porsha's amusement. "You can moonwalk?!" she exclaimed. "Oh, I've picked up a few tricks in my travels," he said with a wink. As the rehearsal wrapped up, Michael noticed them and sauntered over, his silvery fur ruffling slightly. "You guys looked like you know a thing or two about dancing," he said with a smile, his eyes sparkling with curiosity. "Well, I've got a couple of moves," the Doctor admitted, tapping his foot to the beat of the music playing in the background.
To Porsha's amazement, Michael invited them to join him on stage for a quick dance-off. The Doctor's heart raced as he stepped up to the challenge, his feet gliding smoothly as he mirrored Michael's iconic moonwalk. The crowd of backup dancers and crew members gathered around, cheering them on. Porsha watched in awe as the Doctor's nimble form matched Michael's graceful steps, the two of them moving as if they had practiced together for years. The dance floor became a battleground of rhythm and flair, each trying to outdo the other.
The Doctor's moonwalk was flawless, his feet gliding across the stage as if on air. He added a twirl and a flourish, causing Michael to laugh and clap his paws together. Porsha couldn't believe her eyes—it was like watching two stars collide in a spectacle of dance. The Doctor's moves were unpredictable, yet perfectly in sync with the music, showcasing a side of him she had never seen before. Michael threw in his signature anti-gravity lean, and the Doctor responded with a playful robot dance, his limbs popping and locking with surprising precision. The panther's eyes widened in surprise, then admiration, as he applauded the Doctor's skill.
The impromptu dance battle grew more intense, the Doctor and Michael feeding off each other's energy. The backup dancers stepped aside, creating a circle around them, their jaws dropping as they watched the alien Timelord hold his own against the legendary animal performer. The Doctor's leather jacket looked almost comical next to Michael's iconic white outfit, but his agility and passion for the dance made him a formidable opponent. Porsha felt her heart swell with pride as the Doctor's feet tapped out an intricate rhythm, his body moving in ways she didn't think possible.
Finally, with a dramatic flourish, the Doctor ended his routine, bowing low before Michael. The panther, his chest heaving with exertion, couldn't help but laugh. "You've got some moves, Doctor," he said, extending a paw. "Thank you, Michael," the Doctor said, taking the offered paw and shaking it firmly. "But I'm afraid the title of 'King of Pop' remains with you." The crowd of dancers and crew members erupted into applause, the sound echoing through the stadium.
After the impromptu dance battle, Michael invited them to join him at his hotel to talk. The Doctor and Porsha eagerly accepted, eager to learn more about this unique individual. The hotel was a grand affair, with ornate decorations and plush carpets that seemed to swallow their footsteps. They followed Michael to his suite, where the panther offered them a seat. The room was dimly lit, the curtains drawn, and the atmosphere was thick with melancholy.
As they sat down, Michael spoke candidly about his life. Despite his worldwide fame and unparalleled success, his eyes held a deep sadness that spoke volumes. "You know, I used to cry a lot when I was younger," he confessed, his voice barely above a whisper. "The loneliness was... overwhelming." Porsha's heart went out to him, and she leaned forward, her fur bristling slightly with empathy. The Doctor nodded solemnly, his own past experiences with loneliness resonating with Michael's words. "Yeah I know how you feel Mr Jackson my father was never really around he was always so absorbed in his work and my mom..." Porsha said starting to feel tears in her eye the memories of her life in Redshore city hurt her so much "Well, I never knew my mother she died a few years ago" Porsha managed to finish her sentence before she broke down crying The Doctor went to comfort her but before he could Michael had made his way over to her and wrapped his arms around her "Hey don't worry about it, we all have our demons" he said as he rubbed her back gently. "You're a good man Michael you really are" The Doctor said smiling at the panther. Porsha after calming down a bit looked at Michael and spoke "You know all the media saying you have done bad things I don't believe that, you're kind caring and compassionate" Michael sighed "I know it's not true. But it's the price of fame, I guess."
The Doctor leaned back in his chair, stroking his chin thoughtfully. "Fame," he mused. "It's a curious thing. It brings joy to so many, yet it often seems to come at a high cost." Michael nodded in agreement. "I've seen so much in my travels," the Doctor continued. "I've met kings and queens, heroes and villains, and sometimes, the line between the two is so thin, it's barely there." He paused, his gaze distant. "But what matters most is who we are when no one is watching. That's the true measure of a person."
Porsha sniffled, wiping her eyes with the back of her paw. "Thank you," she said to Michael. "You're a real inspiration." The panther's smile was genuine, his eyes warm and comforting. "You're not so bad yourself, Porsha. You've got a heart of gold."
They stood to leave, the Doctor placing a gentle hand on Porsha's shoulder. "Remember what we talked about, Porsha. You're not alone," Michael said, his gaze holding hers for a moment. Porsha nodded, feeling a weight lift from her chest. "Thank you," she whispered.
They made their way back to the TARDIS, the Doctor's arm around her, supporting her as they stepped through the swirling time vortex. The Doctor knew all too well the pain of loss and the burden of secrets. As they materialized back in Calatonia, he hoped that the memories of their encounter with Michael would help Porsha heal from her own painful past.
