Picking up from the last time Sasuke is about to start his match can he figure out a way to fight without chakra? Talk about a test of genius, you mnow the drill i dont want to be sued.
The match had only just begun and Sasuke seemed worse for wear. The visiting participants were largely unimpressed. This is what's left of the noble Uchiha clan? They thought and it showed on their faces. Sakura had chosen the inital clash of weaponry to leave. Shed return from the bathroom with cut hair and a shakey expression. Naruto turned to her and was slightly surprised. "So you went through with it." Not a question but something she needed to hear. If she focused too much on this too much it would mess with her own fighting. "Yeah in the forrest I realized it's got a bit if issues attached to it. I like it long but if I have to fight one of those guys you mentioned I want the best chance I can get." She joked. Naruto could tell that it was a little Hollow though. In silence they turned to the match Sasuke was looking out of breath and confused. "Come on Sasuke! Call yourself an Uchiha do you? Well then wipe that stupid look off your face and get serious damn it!!" Naruto yelled. Sasuke looked back at him for a moment before turning to face his enemy.
"I'll teach you nit to turn your back on me!" Yoroi said.
Sasuke was trying to be as elusive as possible. "This guy can steal my chakra so parrying is almost completely out." He thiught as he dodged Yorois strikes. "I just need the right moment!" Sasuke slipped a blow and darted to Yoroi's backside. He luanched him up into the air and got ready to attack. "Look I'll be homset I borrowed this move but from here on out it's original." He went to strike but the seal in his neck activated trying to seize control of him. The sudden flare up had everyone that new about it on edge. Sasuke thought about his team and how they tried so hard in the exams. "I won't let this thing get to me, NO WAY!" Sasuke smirked sensing the victory hed had in his own body. He went for a kick but it was blocked. "Heh you're no match for me!" Said Yoroi. But Sasuke was just using the attack ti manipulate the situation. He hit hard enough to send himself into another attack. On their descent back to the floor Sasuke decked his opponent in the chin sending him straight down. "Come back here, im not finished! Lions barrage!" He kicked himin the midsection so hard he bounced off the floor on impact. Sasuke slid away from Yoroi completely wiped of energy. The proctor walked over to the older Genin and determined he was done. Sasuke in that moment got enough energy to try standing but all that he could manage was a shaky kneel. "I declare this match over. Sasuke Uchiha is the winner." Said the proctor. Kakashi came to collect hos student and commented on his technique. How closely it mirrored Rock Lee's moves. "This kid is something else" was the shared thought of most adults in the room. "Ok up you go. We've got to get that curse mark sealed." Kakashi said whispering the last bit. Sasuke tried to argue that he wanted to see who made it to the finals but it was simply ignored by the Silver haired Jōnin. "No arguments, Ive already given you enough leeway we're doing this whether you like it or not. Come on lets go."
Sakura and Naruto watched on as they left. "Hopefully Kakashi does the right thing and takes him to an Uzumaki. Otherwise who knows what'll happen." Meanwhile the screen went through another bit of names. Shino Aburame vs Touji. The two walked down to the temporary battlefield. "You should quit now. I'm telling you dont know what you're up against." Shino said. Touji a boy from Kumo, the village hiddens in the clouds, was across from him exprtionless. He moved his grey hair out of his face and got into a fighting stance. Bule and yellow eyes locked on to Shino. "I'll take my chances thanks." Touji said. "Ready? BEGIN!" The proctor stepped back and let the two start.
In a dark area closed off from almost everything else lie an unconscious Sasuke and one Kakashi Hatake. He was humored by how out if it his student became. So tired that he couldn't even argue through the process the way he normally would've. "Hmph to think, you've grown strong enough to preform the curse sealing jutsu." A voice said in the dark. "You. Orochimaru."
"Long time no see Kakashi. No offense but my business is with the boy." Orochimaru said stepping into the light. His mask of flesh was gone. Pale skin with purple marks around the eye and the snake like eyes that made him seem so predatory. "What do you want with Sasuke?" Kakashi asked already on edge. "Hmm? You've acquired something new. How I envy your good fortune. You didnt have that last we met right? That gift, the Sharingan in your left eye! You can't blame ne for wanting it too. The Uchiha power."
Touji abd Shino had gotten to a bit of a taijutsu scrap. Touji had just doged a kick to the face, catching the leg after. "Raiton: Surge jutsu!" Shino was electrocuted and flung into a wall. "Raiton: Overdrive!" As Shino got up he was assulted rapidly by his opponents fits. Each blow sending another charge into his body. He felt like he was constantly getting tazed. At least that's what it looked like he felt. On a particularly powerful blow Shino caved in on himself. The body shot should've put him on the floor but instead it remained upright. He stood there shaking and suddenly he burst into a swarm of insects. "Ahh! What the fuck is this?" Touji said as he shook the insects of his fist.
"The village hidden in the Sound, the one everyone is curious about. Its mine and sure I've got real potential brewing up there it's so scarce to what this boy has." Orochimaru said. Kakashi played along trying to lok beneaththe underneath. "So what he's just a pawn for you're success? You and your wide eyed ambition." He scoffed. Ororchimaru smirked at that. "Oh no hes much more valuable but you know the game of chess. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices Kakashi." He took a few steps closer and that was going to far.
"Don't take another step. I swear you get any closer and one us will die here." Kakshi yelled chidori at the ready. Orochmaru just laghed at this. "You snake of a man, its funny?" Kakashi asked. "Kakashi you know what type of boy this is at some point he will come to me in search of power. Hmm unless…you follow through on your threat to kill me. Now's your chance Kakashi, take it if you dare." Orochimaru said in a sing song voice. Kakashi hesitated and then the other man was gone. "What the hell was I thinking. 'One of will die', I must've lost it."
Touji had tried stopping the bugs but more and more appeared until he was surrounded entirely. Then a blow came to the back of his head and he was on the floor with the bugs. He could feel them sll over his form and it terrified him. "Raiton: Sp-spider Web!" He shouted. An array in the shape of a web spread on the floor and buzzed with electricity. This however did nothing to the bugs and they were now crawling up his neck. Touji panicked and tried to wipe the bugs off but they cane in droves eventually they even covered his face and he passed out screaming. Once it was over a few bugs crawled off of his arms and neck and went back to Shino. "Well I guess this ones done for. Winner Shino Aburame." Its a good thing I learned that genjutsu or this guy could've destroyed a lot of the colony. Shino thought.
"What? What was that, how'd he do that, find out!" Rock Lee exclaimed to Neji. The Hyuga in question got his Byakugan ready and looked at Shino. What he saw surprised him. "Gah! I thought he may be using a summoning jutsu but those things are living inside of him." Neji explained. Gai their sensei who creeply shared a resemblance to Rock Lee down to the eyebrows, said there was a legend of a clan of bug tamers in the Hidden Leaf. Neji nodded "I also heard that clan. They say tge bug master is born and then enters a sacred pact with the insects allowing them to nest in his body in exchange for control of them in battle. I also heard that they eat his chakra as part if the deal." Neji said. Rock Lee looked back at Shino leaving the area. "So this guy is one of those then? A bug tamer?" On the other side of the arena in the stands Anko was cheering. "Way to capitalize on your creep factor kid! You know what that means one day off for you." Shino Sighed in relief at this, Anko's training was a nightmare and if she felt like you hadn't done your best then you might as well expect torture. "Way to go good work." Kiba said. Shino responded in his usual monotonous voice "I suggest you do the same." Kiba scowled at the slight and Mizu started chuckling.
"Wow and I thought Shino was freaky before. Eugh!" Sakura said. Naruto laughedatbthat thenn suddenly turned around. Poof! Kakashi popped up in that spot seconds later. "So how is he. Underguard I hope you know for Sakura's sake." In response to this said girl punched him into a wall. "Well is he alright Kakashi sensei?" Sakura asked. Kakashi marveled at the switch in personality and answered her. "Yes Saskura, he's fine. Resting in the hospital and being guarded like Naruto said." She nodded smiling at the relatively good news. It could always be worse and now she could really focus on the matches. "So far the finalists are Sasuke and Shino, I wonder who's next." The screen read two names she hadn't seen before. "Guess will have to see the others go next time." She said watching as a boy from Suna strut down with a cocky air about him. She remembered him and his team from before the exams, one of their first days back in the village after the mission in Wave country. "Hes the one that gave us a hardtime over an accident. This guy literally threatened a small child. I bet he's crazy or something." She scoffed. "I think he's a little tame compared to his teammate. That guy who showed up and spooked him. It just makes me think he's not that much of a powerhouse or anything." Naruto commented. The sand team was looking on with a neutral expression the kind that makes you see what you want to, typical for ninja. The odd thing was the kid he mentioned earlier. He had hair like Kyō a red so close to brown it looked like blood. Not the usual vibrant Uzumaki coloring. Under his bloody mop of hair were two very critical eyes. It was like he was waiting for his teammate to fail. The battles started like all the others so far, a light taijutsu scrap. This time though it was a bit more exciting. The guy from Konoha, Misumi, had wrapped his limbs around the boy from suna like a snake. Apparently his jutsu allowed him to soften his joints and manipulate the body with just his chakra. He threatened to break his neck if he didn't forfeit. "It won't matter what you're carrying in those bandages if you cant get to them! Quit now or else." Kankuro laughed at his opponent. "Id like to see you try!" He said. Then there was a pop and Kankuro slumped over. Slight shock went over some of the rookies attending afterall who wouldn't forfeit in a position like that. Suddenly the boys head started cracking? Chips broke off of his face and fell onto the floor. The head eventually rattling and spinning around to face Misumi. "What? Are you kidding me!?!" Instead of Kankuro there was a wooden body with strange limbs in his place. The bandages around the mysterious object on the floorboard wriggled then suddenly unwrapped to retthe real Kankuro. With one hand he gathered up the bandages and with the other he sent chakra to the wooden double. "I see he's a puppet master." Kakashi said. Naruto looked on and saw the strings of chakra responsible for their connection. Heh I guess thats a conduit too in this case. Naruto thought, he turned to his sensei and asked hust what a puppet master was. "You see his jutsu is dependent on the chakra strings he sends to that puppet. Its got all sorts of tricks that the puppet master can use to fight his opponents." Kakashi explained. When they looked back Kankuro was declared the winner, having crushed Misumi's bones so badly he needed medical attention. Next was an embarrassingly quick match between Mizu Hagihara and Aoi hikaru. Mizu scattered a bun h of traps around the floor and tried forcing his opponent to set them off. Aoi quickly lost interest and in a flash of light appeared behind a now beaten up trap specialist. His life only one thrust of her naginata away from being extinguished. If you looked closely, you could see her eyes dimming from a bright orange iris with gold pupils to a red eye with plain black pupils. She skipped along back to her team and started chatting with Touji.
Mizu walked over to his team sulking. "Sorry Anko I just didn't see her coming." He said making sure not to call her sensei(it made her feel old). "Nit that it matters much, but that girl and her team they're from the Hikaru clan. Long time rivals if the Uzumaki, because of their similar techniques. Its said that they speed up time around them faster than others can comprehend. I don't blame you for being cuaght of guard." She explained and that had team 8 kinda worried. The Uzumakis were a clan so powerful they were targeted by three of the five great villages. Over 10 thousand troops later and they were still swinging a turning point had the survivors coming to Konohas doorstep though. Shino specifically resonated with this due to his clans own position and respect for the Uzumaki. As they too were ostracized for their abilities and had a rival with similar techniques like them. If he remembered correctly their leader at the time was particularly fond if the Uzumaki clan head and Matriarch Tatsuo who was a bug tamer in her own right. Legend said she commanded a giant centipede into battle though it was rarely seen. Mizu was seeing this differently though. "Oh sensei you care! OW!" Anko binked her blue haired student in the head. "What have I said about that I'm not some old croan! Don't go thinking your off the hook either for your training were gonna drill some jutsu into your head kunai and bear traps clearly aren't ginna cut anymore. If yiu dint want to die, you'll toughen up and prepare for your traps to fail. An I clear?!" She snarled at him. He jsut shook his head and tried to soothe the pain. Kurenai watched on humored bu her friend and fellow sensei's antics. She looked to her girls and noted how their time to fight should be coming soon. Like clockwork the screen ran through a few names and settled on not just one but two from her team. "Rio Kaguya vs Yakumo Kurama!" The proctor called out. They jumped to the arena floor and wait for the proctor to start the match. "Give it your all paint freak!" Rio said. Her look was stern and serious not just the crazed look she gave normally. Yakumo nodded pulling out a scroll and brush. "You too bonehead!" They rushed eachother and immediately sparks were flying. Kunai against bone blades in a locked on battle to spill blood. Rio, ever the aggressive one, managed to land the first real hit a spray of blood emerging from the wound she inflicted on her friend. She took a moment to relish in it ans in that moment Yakumo flipped over her and got some of the blood on her scroll. Her brush went to work faster than the most experienced Chūnins hand signs. The effect wasn't clear at first but then Rio started laughing, cackling even. "You bitch! So that's how you want to play it huh?" Then she spun arround facing a wall. Though those attending could see what'd happened. Flesh had grown over Rio's eyes liked theyd never been there to begin with. "I hope you don't think blinding me will save you. Shikotsumyaku: bone bullet blitz!" She spun around again firing bons from her fingers at first but then she jumped up and fired them from her feet aswell spinning in the air slowly descending to the floor after her rapid-fire assault. "I dont have the luxury of sitting still but runing with her turns won't help either! Those fricken bullets ricocheted off of everything thhat wasn't me. Time to make a new plan" Yakumo thought.
The shadows that once plauged her vision suddenly faded. Light and with it vision flooding into her eyes. Her bones littered across the floor no Yakumo in sight, but the proctor hadn't call the match. "Shes still here." Rio thought. Suddenly a volley if kunai came at her from all directions. She jumped over the wave of knives but they all phased through eachother fading before they got to the walls. By the time they'd disappeared a new wave came this time it was very real. What didn't stick her the first time fell to the floor, Rio hardened her bones and grew them slightly so she could tough out the attack. Of course this meant she was heavier and quickly fell to the floor. Rio thiught for a moment, there was so much her fellow princess could do with her power, but making herself invisible with all of these other illusions going on was not on the list. Rio tried to break out of the genjutsu. She had a enough chakra to spare and even if it was only for a second. So that what she did and she briefly saw the walls fade and revealed a concentrating Yakumo who was surprised to be seen. She yelped and then the wall was back up like Rio had been expecting. Just incase she decided to make these illusions real with her Kekkei Genkai she three a few kunai wjth paper bombs attached to the wall. Boom! The rubble and dust had barely settled before Rio made her way across the room. Smack into a wall. From the other side of the room a very real Yakumo walked up from her hiding spot. "You always were the worst at telling clones from the real thing Bonehead. Thanks for giving it your all though. I had fun!" She said with a sickeningly sweet smile, yellow eyes practically glowing with glee. This coupled with her shadow forming horns ,all made her look very scary. "Winner Yakumo Kurama!" Said the proctor. Yakumo snapped out of her trance and picked up her teammate. She went back to her team and propped Rio against the wall, giggling when she finally woke up.
"Damn it I lost! That was so cool though! Oh you just have to do that when we spar next time, please Yakumo, please!" Yakumo responded to this with more giggling and no real answer. "Come on guys there's other fights to see. At least try paying attention." Hinata sighed. Her cold face adorning a slight smirk afterwards. Kurenai once again luaghed this time at her students. What an odd trio for girls called princesses. She thought humorously.
