Halo, it's time for the next chapter. Enjoy the reading.
An incredible noise could be heard in the morning hours, caused by a huge Atlasian flagship which was as big as Beacon itself. The ship despite its enormous size it moved easily in the air and landed gently on the landing strip created for it next to the academy. If it wasn't enough on its own, it was accompanied by a dozen smaller planes and fighter jets, the sight of which would have made any opponent lose their courage.
Dozens of white and dark blue armored soldiers and robots emerged from the flagship, either guarding or patrolling around it. No one knew what all the fuss was about, many were afraid that Atlas was preparing for an invasion but luckily that was not the case.
- What do you think, - Mandy curiously looked out of the library window to take a look at the soldiers she already knew well. – what does the Atlasian army doing here?
- Maybe they are practicing? - Mike hid behind the book he was studying from.
- Maybe they are preparing for war! - Lynda stared excitedly at the soldiers' weapons and armor. - They have cool weapons and I'm into guys in uniform. The Atlasian army is very cool!
- Not to mention their robot technology. - Mike added. - Drastically increased their numbers and efficiency and reduced human losses.
- I heard from my father, - After Mandy, it was Lance who was not at all excited to see the army. - that the director of Atlas, General Ironwood has come to visit but he doesn't know why.
- Why would the director of another school come here? - Lynda asked.
- Maybe just a friendly visit? - Mike reflected.
- You don't bring an entire army to a friendly visit. - Mandy wasn't happy about the presence of the Atlasian army either. - I think they're up to something.
- For what? - Lynda asked sarcastically. - There isn't any serious enemy that we need such a large army. I think they just want to put on a show.
- Amen. - Mike put his book down.
Mike and Lynda didn't want to think why General Ironwood had traveled halfway across the continent with an army but Lance and Mandy weren't so carefree.
- I don't know guys, - Lance scratched the back of his head. – my father told me this and that about the general. How he lost several limbs in battles and how brutally far he can go when it comes to war. The people say he has no heart and he's more machine than man.
- A general must be tough and able to make difficult decisions. - Mandy explained.
- Yeah, I know. Only Ironwood even puts a shovel at it.
The other teams in the library didn't really share the team LLMM's concern, as team RWBY was playing a board game carelessly while Team JNPR was trying to study, well, Jaune was only reading a comic, Nora was fast asleep, Pyrrha took the comic out of Jaune's hand and a he pressed a textbook into his hand and Ren was the only one who was actually reading.
Team RWBY was joined by Sun from Vacuo and Neptune from Heaven with whom they got along just as well but Blake really thought about something else and left the game and his friends.
- At least Roman got real papers.
- You have to give him some credits, compared to the fact that he's a cocky *ss, he knows what he's doing.
- If possible, more quietly, there is no paper to protect us from your mouths.
4 new exchange students entered the campus, three girls and one boy. Unlike Beacon's uniform, which was dominated by red, black and red, their uniform was black and grey, even the shirt and blouse.
The boy had short gray hair and gray eyes, but was wearing a black uniform, pants, shirt and shoes.
One of the girls had brown skin, mint green hair and reddish-brown eyes, but she wore a black uniform, blouse and shoes similar to the boy's, her skirt was black and gray with a checkered pattern.
The second girl was very short and had the same uniform as the other two. She had long black hair tied with two white bows and green eyes.
The third girl was older than them but she wore the same uniform. Her hair was also black, but shorter than the shorter girl's and she had menacing yellow eyes.
- I just don't understand, - The boy Mercury didn't really like the uniform and nervously pulled the neck of his shirt to ventilate. – why did we bring her for? - He pointed at the short girl.
- Because the teams must contain four members if they wanted to apply at the Vytal festival and we urgently needed a 4th member. - The green-haired girl, Emerald, answered.
- Fine but why did Roman's speechless girlfriend get dumped on us?
The short girl was Neopolitan disguised as Ella Stracciat. Neo was too infamous to go to Beacon with his real name and appearance. Her original mission is to help Cinder and the two kids but in reality, Roman has tasked her with keeping an eye on them in case they are up to something that might cause them trouble.
Neo or Ella just grinned slyly and spoke in sign language.
- Umm... I don't understand sign language, so I have no idea what you're talking about, you little midget. – Mercury just shrugged his shoulders and Neo just took out his Scroll and started to type at lightning speed then showed it to Mercury.
"Only teams with 4 members can participate in the Vytal festival, so you need me.
P.S.: If you call me a midget one more time, I'll stick Hush up your *ss and pull it out your mouth you big-mouthed d*ck."
- Harsh words for a little lady who was easily believed to be 17 years old and the size of a 12-year-old child. – Mercury continued to tighten the string and Neo started typing again.
"Harsh words for a crippled street kid who thinks he's totally relaxed but in reality, he only does what his mommy tells him to do and unable to make independent decisions and when he encounters some kind of difficulty, he immediately hides behind someone else's back."
- You little… - Mercury was about to grab Neo but Cinder ordered them.
- Enough! Mercury, you are too loud and conceited! - She turned to Neo. - Ella, you watch your mouth, otherwise our 4th member may die mysteriously. – Her eyes started to glow menacingly before Neo took a step back. - Now listen carefully, - Shee spoke to the whole team. – I don't care if you don't like each other, we're not here because we enjoy hanging out at the academy so much. We have a job to do. I don't recommend that personal animosity hinders our mission because mistakes and failures will have serious consequences. Did you understand?
- Yes! - Emerald and Mercury said at the same time but Neo just nodded. She wanted to take out his Scroll again to type but it wasn't in her pocket.
- Are you looking for something, shorty? – Mercury spoke to her with Neo's Scroll in one hand and shoved his middle finger to her.
Neo hated this team, especially Mercury, she liked confident men but arrogant ones really annoyed him and Mercury was arrogant. An arrogant kid who thinks big on himself without putting anything on the table besides being with Cinder and constantly hiding behind her.
Neo would have liked to have grabbed Hush and stabbed Mercury in the stomach with it, then repeated it a dozen times and if there was even a spark of life left in him, she would have thrown him under a truck.
She restrained herself, Roman just kept saying that the reward they would receive for success was incredibly high, so she was forced to work with this gang.
The team CMEE, as they were officially called, entered the dorm but one of the girls wearing a Beacon uniform quickly ran out of her room and charged at Emerald knocking her off.
- Oh, sorry! - The girl shook her head and looked up. - Are you okay?
- I'm fine. – Emerald offered her hand to help her up and she accepted it. - Just be careful next time.
- Yes, sorry. My name is Ruby. - Ruby looked around the team. - Are you new?
- We came from Heaven. - Cinder replied. - My name is Cinder Fall. – She smiled at Ruby who had a bad feeling from Cinder's smile. There was something evil and diabolical about it but Ruby couldn't have described exactly what.
- I am Emerald Sustral. – Other members of the CMEE team also introduced themselves.
- Mercury Black. - Ruby's gaze shifted to the 4th member, Neo as she waited for her to introduce herself.
- Your name? - Ruby still felt something ominous about this team but she wanted to know the short girl's name but she didn't answer. - Do you understand our language?
- She understands, but she's silent. - Cinder replied. - Mercury, return Ella's Scroll. – Mercury obeyed, Neo got the Scroll back and was able to communicate again.
"My name is Ella Stracciat and nice to meet you, Little Red."
Ruby was a little surprised as Ella called her but she didn't show any serious importance to her.
- You must have come to the festival, right? - Ruby immediately thought of that. - But the exchange students have their rooms in the other dormitory.
- Then we must have turned in the wrong a corner. - Mercury replied.
- Don't worry, it happens often. - Ruby just laughed. - Your dormitory is in the east wing.
- Thank you for the help. - Before they left, Cinder put a hand on her shoulder. - Maybe we'll see each other again.
- Yes, maybe! And welcome to Beacon!
The CMEE team left, but Ruby still couldn't let go that there was something ominous about this team, especially Cinder, whose yellow eyes were almost glowing.
