Halo, it's time for the newest chapter. Enjoy the reading.
The blue smoke evoked a woman's bedroom, which was filled with all kinds of expensive furniture and decorations, there was hardly any light and the only place where the sun shone was the balcony door, from which a view of the outside world could be had.
The girl, who had been locked in this room for so long did nothing but stare longingly out the balcony door, daydreaming about the outside world and waiting for her freedom, which she felt would never come.
- Locked in a tower by his cruel father, - Jinn continued the story. - Salem longed for only one thing. For freedom. She lived in a time when kings and kingdoms were rich, when people were capable of great things and magic was a gift from the gods that everyone possessed.
Sad and lonely, Salem sat down on her bed, which was the only company she had in her entire life and boredly held out her palm, which summoned all kinds of rainbow-colored orbs of light that swirled into the room and illuminated the gloomy darkness, although they couldn't brighten her mood in any way. Despite her ability to cast spells, despite being surrounded by wealth and prosperity, neither magic nor wealth could make this sad girl smile.
- This is how her life went, day after day. Until one day a legendary hero arrived to pass the trials of the castle and save the bachelor imprisoned in the castle.
A man appeared in front of the castle, wearing shiny, light gray armor, a dark green cloak, and a long war staff, the tip of which was a diamond-shaped jade gem. The man had short brown hair, brown eyes and brown skin. He smiled determinedly as he thought of the dangers and adventures in the castle, and of the girl he would free after so many years of unjust imprisonment.
- People knew him as Ozma.
Roman tried to touch the man but his hand simply went over his shoulder as if he wasn't there, then he walked towards him and just like before, through his arm, he walked over his whole body, as if he was just a ghost. "It's like a movie and I can only be a spectator.", he thought in himself.
- Unlike the heroes who came before, this warrior wasn't interested in wealth or the hand of a beautiful young bachelor. He simply fought for the truth, in which his pure heart and true soul helped him.
Ozma overcame one obstacle after another, monsters and traps to finally reach the top room of the highest tower to open the door to Salem's room but when he saw the young bachelor, her beauty took his breath away, as did she when she saw the valiant hero who freed her from her prison and they smiled at each other.
- They escaped the castle together and started to feel something new. Ozma was ready to sacrifice his life for the truth at any time but now he met a woman who made it worth defending. And Salem, to her greatest surprise, didn't find her true freedom in the outside world, which she dreamed of for so many years but in the eyes of the man who saved her.
- Then... - Salem asked awkwardly and blushing once they were out of the castle and at a safe distance. - where are we going now?
- Wherever you want. - Ozma held out his hand, which Salem accepted.
- They fell in love, traveled the world, had adventures and lived happily ever after.
As Roman watched their adventure, he remembered Neo, who had also been locked in her room by her parents, cut off from the outside world, just as lonely and lost before she met him.
"I'm not a valiant knight," Roman smiled to himself, missing Neo.
- At least, that's how it should have been.
The blue smoke this time showed a room with a bed in which Ozma lay, pale and motionless with Salem kneeling beside him, holding his hand and sobbing bitterly.
- Ozma, the legendary hero, fell ill and after all the monsters, swords and destructive magic failed, a simple illness succeeded. – Ozma's body evaporated into blue smoke, leaving nothing behind, only his staff, which Salem hugged tightly.
- How could the gods let this happen. - She muttered to herself.
Roman wondered how he would feel if something similar had happened to Neo. If he had lost the woman he loved more than anything in the world and whom he thought she loved him. This story made him realize that even after she had betrayed him, he still had feelings for her.
"Does… she thinks about me?"
- The gods, - A white-yellow and a purple-black energy sphere appeared in the room. - the two brothers, the Gods of Light and Darkness, Creation and Destruction. Salem saw how unfair it was to take the life of the man she loved more than anything and decided to ask them to make it right.
When the two spheres met, another blue curtain of smoke covered everything and when it subsided, a clearing at the foot of the mountain appeared, everywhere there was golden yellow grass, clean air and a set of stairs carved into the rock led to the mountain, at the beginning of which was a small shrine, in which a carved statue was placed, and flowers and other sacrificial gifts were placed around it.
- The Realm of Light was considered a holy place. - Salem also placed a bouquet of flowers on one of the steps and set off with Ozma's stick in her hands. - This was the place where the older brother was found. God of Light and Creation. - At the top of the stairs she found a valley, in the middle of which was a lake, the water of which was so crystal clear that it looked like a mirror, the lake was surrounded by rocks on the sides, and in the middle was a small island, on which a large tree grew high, the petals of its golden, luminous flowers covered the entire valley. - This was the place where humanity was created.
As soon as Salem entered the grove, the tree sensed her presence and the glowing petals of the flowers flew towards the lake, under which something began to glow and came closer to the surface. A huge male figure emerged, his entire, naked body glowing yellow, and two deer antlers growing out of his head, which glowed white. He had no face, no eyes and nothing could be read from him. He stood on the surface of the water and then began to walk on it as if it was so natural to him.
- Please... - Salem, as the male figure got closer and closer to her, understood that he was the god of Light, Creation and Life and knelt before him, then she held Ozma's staff close to him. - please…give him back to me.
- I understand your pain, - The god answered. – but you are asking me for something that is beyond my power to fulfill. - He held out his hands and began to explain. - Life and death are parts of a complicated and fragile balance.
- Then... - Salem was completely disillusioned and bowed his head in defeat. – you won't do it?
- Upsetting the balance... - The god continued but Salem angrily interrupted him.
- This is not fair! - She stood up indignantly and rudely shouted at the god. - THIS IS NOT FAIR!
- Let. Him. Rest in peace. - The god answered sternly, then the wind arose and blew away his body, along with the leaves and left Salem alone.
- No. - Salem didn't accept it and decided that whatever it takes, she will still be with Ozma again.
The smoke screen this time showed another clearing and another set of stairs along the foot of the mountain, which was a perfect copy of the previous one, except that not a single blade of grass grew in the entire area, the sky was covered by dark red clouds, and the dark, barren rocks were covered with purple crystals. they grew up. Everywhere you looked, no sign of life was found.
"Reminds me of Salem's current hideout." Roman was familiar with this dark land.
Salem hesitated and worried to go further up the stairs but she knew that this was the only way to be together with her Ozma again.
- The God of Darkness, - Jinn continued. – no one has dared to enter his home yet, knowing what horrors rise from his lake.
She found herself in the same valley as the one in the God of Light, only here the whole field was covered with barren, dark rocks, in the middle was a lake, the water of which was pitch black, like the night and in the middle of it was a bald tree that seemed as if it had been dead for centuries.
- It is understandable how the God of Darkness was surprised when a mortal, lonely woman knelt before his lake.
A man's form manifested from the black lake but it twisted and twitched as if it was taking on this form for the first time and then it crawled towards Salem like some kind of animal, meanwhile a falconry Grimm surrounded the woman and began to explain to the God of Darkness, Death and Destruction, who in the meantime stood up and, unlike his brother, his body was swimming in dark purple light and had twisted, ram's horns. But like the other god, he had no face, no eyes, and his features were indistinguishable.
- Salem also understood his confusion and explained her loss to him and also shared with him that only he can answer her prayer. Of course, she was very careful not to mention the other brother.
- Stand up, my child, – The God of Darkness signaled. – and I will reciprocate your faith in me.
Salem did so, and the god conjured up a purple orb that grew larger and larger, with Ozma's body in the center. Salem ran to him, turned him towards her and as soon as his eyes popped open and he started gasping for air, her heart calmed down.
- Where am I?! - Ozma, on the other hand, was terrified and confused. - What happened?!
- It's all right. - Salem just hugged the man. - Everything will be fine.
This joyous moment was interrupted by a thunderclap, the cause of which was the God of Light, who appeared angrily in his brother's realm.
- What have you done?! – He demanded the answer from his younger brother.
- I did what I was asked, brother. – The younger brother answered but Salem just pulled Ozma to her in terror, worried that the Gods of Light would take him away again. - I know, - He continued mockingly. - that you are the Grandmaster of Creation but you are not the only one who possesses it.
- This is not creation! – The God of Light pointed in disgust at the resurrected Ozma.
- Don't lecture me! – The Dark God retaliated angrily, clearly fed up with his brother's arrogance and the Grimms began to approach the God of Light, at the behest of their master.
- I will do what is necessary, - The God of Light raised one hand. – to maintain order. – Ozma's body was covered in an orange light, then evaporated into nothing and fell back into death.
- No! - Salem desperately tried to catch him but in vain, Ozma was dead again. - No! What have you done?! - She yelled angrily at the God of Light. - Bring him back!
- You dare to come here to my realm and treat me so disrespectfully in my sanctuary?! – The Dark God was enraged and his voice echoed throughout the valley. He summoned the purple ball of light again and brought Ozma back to life.
- Ozma! – These two gods reminded Salem of two bickering children who can't agree on anything.
- I'm just following the rules, - The Light god explained indignantly. – which we agreed on!
- Rules, - The Dark God prepared for the clash, as did his brother. – which are benefit only for you! - His horns grew and two leather wings grew from his back. - But when a mortal comes to me to pray with a request that I fulfill, suddenly you have the right to judge me!
He turned into a huge purple dragon and growled angrily at his brother and incited the Grimm. The Light God opened his eyes and was covered in all white light for a moment, making the Grimm disappear and blinding the Dark God for a moment. In the next moment, the Light God also turned into a dragon snake and looked down on his younger brother from the sky.
- I know, - His voice became deep and princely. – that we've had many disagreements in the past, maybe even now, but I'm not here to judge you or tell you what to do. - The Dark God backed downed. - But this thing, - He looked at Ozma. - it can't stay here. And this woman, - Then to Salem, as the Dark God also understood why she turned to him. – she only asked for your help because I refused. She also asked me to break the balance and order that you and I created together.
- Then, - The Dark God understood that he was only the secondary solution and fulfilling Salem's request could have destroyed everything that was created after so many battles as a symbol of peace with his brother. Moreover, because of the request of a single, selfish person. - it seems I owe you an apology. Allow me to correct my mistake.
The Dark God spewed purple fire at Salem and Ozma. Salem was unharmed but Ozma became nothing again and disappeared.
- You... - Salem, after her goal had already been fulfilled, when her true love returned from the dead, these two beings called gods, as a result of a childish quarrel, were deprived of him again, she felt nothing but pure hatred towards the two gods. - YOU MONSTERS! GIVE HIM BACK TO ME! GIVE HIM BACK! – In her anger, she summoned blue lightning around her and prepared to confront these two omnipotent beings, even if she had no chance.
However, the God of Light acted faster and caught her with a lightning fast movement and she could see complete darkness.
The next moment Salem fell, from high up, through the clouds, thinking he was dead and now traveling to the afterlife. Her only consolation is that she can at least be with Ozma again. She let go of her life and prepared for eternal rest.
She was terribly disappointed when she again saw the grove and lake of the God of Light below her, into which she fell. As soon as she reached the water, a pale-yellow light enveloped her body, which didn't cause any pain at all, in fact, it was a pleasant and tingling sensation. After climbing out of the lake gasping for air.
- When you first came to me, - She heard the voice of the God of Light but when she looked up she saw both brothers there in front of her, back in their human form. - I pitied you. But it's already clear that it was your own selfishness and arrogance that led you astray.
- What have you done to me?! - Salem's hand was still covered in that pale-yellow light but it slowly disappeared.
- I made you immortal. – The Light god answered.
- Immortal?
- You can't die. - The Dark God helped her out. - You can't be with your love.
- As long as this world exists, - The two gods continued together. – you will walk on its surface.
- You must learn, - Finished the God of Light. - the importance of life and death. Only then will the spell be broken and only then you can return to eternal peace.
Salem tried to follow them but the next moment she found herself alone in a dark wasteland.
- Salem became a prisoner again. - Jinn continued. – Her desperate attempts to reunite with Ozma in the afterlife made her more and more desperate and she only felt anger and contempt towards the gods for putting such a curse on her.
Roman was also horrified at the sight of Salem stabbing herself in the heart with a sword but to no avail, as soon as she pulled out the sword, the wound healed in seconds and Salem only angrily clutched the sword in her hand.
- She thought that the gods are not as powerful as they seem. She lied to them and even for a minute but she turned one against the other, they bickered with each other like children. They were vulnerable. If she gets humanity to turn against Darkness and Light, maybe their curse will be broken, or if not, at least they will suffer.
- Salem traveled from one kingdom to another, telling all kinds of tales and lies that she stole eternal life from the gods and any warrior or mage could easily try to kill her. Demonstrating her powers, which she had perfected over her infinitely long life, she drew the kings and queens further and further into her plan, regaling them with all kinds of horror stories and delusions so that they would no longer have to watch their loved ones to wither and die if they took the place and power of their creators upon themselves. Her plan, over many decades, was successful. She united the whole world against the gods.
It seemed almost impossible but it happened, the whole world united under Salem's rule, a huge army stormed the shrine of the God of Light and the huge, golden glowing dragon snake emerged from the clear lake.
- The gods hoped that Salem would learn from the curse of eternal life and she did. - The rulers of the kingdoms also wanted to participate in the battle, staring at their creator with greed and hatred in their hearts. - She learned that the hearts of people are easily manipulated.
Suddenly, the other, the Dark God, appeared, also in the form of a dragon and his roar could be heard far away, the members of the army also staggered back but didn't flee.
- Who led you on this road?! – The Light god demanded the answer, before Salem came out of the crowd and looked defiantly at the two gods.
- You?! - The Dark God growled angrily at her but Salem fired with her magic, followed by the army. Firing a storm of arrows and all kinds of magic at the Dark god but he just held out one hand, intercepting all the attacking magic that was shot at him. The members of the army, seeing that all their efforts were in vain, were horrified. - The gift you received from me - He held the ball of concentrated energy in his hands indignantly. – and you dare to turn against me?
He squeezed the orb, which, like a balloon, burst and the large amount of magic inside was released in a huge explosion that momentarily covered the entire world.
- No... - In the next moment, Salem, who was knocked out by the shock wave, stood up and angrily realized that the army she had built for a century had been destroyed in the blink of an eye without even a trace. - No... - The Dark God stepped in front of her, pushing her back and looking down at her angrily.
- Do you think there is nothing else we can impose on you as a punishment?
- I am coming back! - Salem warned them, meeting the Dark God's gaze. - I'll tell the whole world what happened here! I will build a new army…
- You don't understand? – The Dark God interrupted her and pushed his head closer so that he could look directly into Salem's eyes. - There's nobody left. You are the only one left of humanity. - Salem was speechless and breathless from terror.
- This planet was a beautiful experiment, - The God of Light took the floor. – but no more than a remnant of what it once was. We learned a lot from this mistake. I hope you learned from your own. - His body began to be covered in white light and he prepared to leave.
- No! - Salem tried to reach for it. - You can't leave me here! - The God of Light has already disappeared. - Come back!
- You still demand from your creators? - That was the Dark God's final words before he disappeared too.
However, he flew up into the sky, pulling a huge, purple ray behind him, straight to the moon, the side of which he broke into pieces, thus answering the question of many astrologers what happened to it.
Broken pieces of the moon crashed into the planet like meteorites, leaving huge craters but Salem didn't care. She just dropped to her knees and howled loudly in her anger and helplessness.
- And again, Salem was left alone. – Another curtain of blue smoke revealed a dark tundra where Salem wandered alone and his only company, for many centuries, were animals and Grimm. As she traveled the world, she found no signs of human activity, only the empty houses of the cities, which were either destroyed by Grimms or reclaimed by nature over the long centuries. - She cursed the gods, she cursed the universe, and she cursed everything but herself. She wandered the empty world for many hundreds of years, waiting for the death she knew would never come, until her path led her back to the Land of Darkness and the Black Lake of the Dark God. – She stopped above the pitch-black, bubbling lake and just stared into the great blackness.
- This was it. - She whispered to herself. - This should work.
- The lake of the younger brother, the creator of the Grimms and the father of all nightmares. Salem reasoned that if the Source of Light endowed him with eternal life, then its opposite would nullify it. – Finally, she jumped down into the great blackness, which swallowed her. - She was wrong. - Under the black water, she was the only one that remained bright and the dark water tried to tear her body apart but the pale-yellow aura appeared around her body and like a protective shell, protected her from all blows. - The dark water, which is the essence of the desire for pure, endless destruction, was not able to destroy infinite life. - Salem climbed out of the lake but her body was still covered in pitch-black water.
- Instead, she became a monster with infinite life and an endless desire to destroy. – As soon as the water ran off her, her skin and hair turned to snow white, her eyes red, the whites of his eyes and his nails black. – And in time, she found her rival.
The next scene showed Ozma waking up after a long dream but feeling like he had fallen into a dream. There he found himself, alone in the vast and endless whiteness.
Roman, Qrow, Oscar, Maria and team RWBY were standing there staring at him but he couldn't see them since it was just a flashback that they couldn't interfere with.
- Ozma. - They heard a familiar voice. They saw the God of Light standing in front of the man with his hands clasped behind his back.
- Where... - Ozma asked the question a little scared. - Am I?
- We are between worlds. I fear that a tragedy has befallen your home, at the hands of my brother. We decided to leave the world, but in our absence, I want to offer you a chance to come back.
- I don't understand.
- Humanity is no more, but the world remains and in time, your kind will learn to walk on its surface again. However, without our presence, they are just fragments of what they once were. – He summoned the four relics, including the lamp. – The staff of Creation, the sword of Destruction, the lamp of Knowledge and the crown of Choice. These are the embodiments of the 4 gifts that humanity has received from us. Now I leave them here to help you. – The 4 relics merged in the hand of the god. – If these 4 relics are gathered, then me and my brother will return to your world and be judged by humanity. If your kind learns to live in peace and harmony with each other and learn to put aside their differences, then we will live with you and make humanity whole again. But if your species doesn't change, if you continue to crave our blessings while fighting each other, then we will judge humanity as irredeemable and your world will be obliterated. – Ozma fell to his knees from the burden of the huge responsibility. - Until your task is completed, you will be constantly reborn. – Oscar woke up to the terrible truth. - As long as there is only one person left in the world, your mission can still be fulfilled and you cannot rest forever.
- I'm sorry, - Ozma would have preferred to reject it. – but the world... even with eternal life doesn't seem alluring without her. - He raised his head and looked at the god. - If you allow me, I'd rather return to the afterlife to look for her. - The God of Light knew he meant Salem.
- You won't find her there. – This was happy news for Ozma.
- You mean... she's not dead?!
- Salem's alive. – God gave the answer but he didn't reveal everything. - But the woman who was so precious to you is no more. - This confused him a bit but the God of Light said one more thing in advance. - Hear my warning, where you seek comfort, you will find only pain. – Ozma thought about it but the god didn't want to impose his will on him. - So…
- I'll do it! – Ozma snapped at him but it wasn't the redemption of humanity that motivated him but the hope of meeting Salem again, even if only in a different form.
- So be it. The fate of our creatures is in your hands.
The God of Light disappeared and everything was covered in darkness.
- And so, - Jinn continued. - Ozma was reborn.
The first thing he saw was a Grimm that he pierced through the chest with a spear. He manifested in another person's body, whose behavior changed completely after that, as he was controlled by Ozma, exactly as he did with Oscar as Ozpin. He looked around in shock and found himself at the edge of a burning village, attacked by Grimm and surrounded by desperate, screaming people fleeing.
- Where am I?! - Ozma looked around in confusion but as soon as he saw a man cornered by a Grimm, he didn't hesitate to rush to his aid. He grabbed the first weapon he could get his hands on and being a master weapon wielder and fighter, in the blink of an eye executed the Grimm.
- Thanks! - The man he saved was extremely grateful. - What's your name? Who are you?
Ozma, the man in whose body Ozma was reborn just looked at him in horror and bewilderment and threw away the sword with which he had just killed the Grimm.
- He didn't even know. – Oscar thought he discovered an unpleasant resemblance between the man and himself.
The blue smoke screen this time showed a city street that was full of people, but the sky was overcast and about to rain.
- Ozma found himself in a completely new world. The cities looked different, - He saw a pile of faunus, held in cages like animals. – and creatures he had never seen before, faunus with fangs and claws, caged and condemned to slavery. – He walked by a stand that sold Dust, which he didn't even know what it was, since his magic remained. - And without the gods' blessing, no one could cast a spell. No one but himself and a woman whom the people called the Witch.
The smoke screen showed a forest, in the depths of which Ozma found a dilapidated old house overgrown with weeds and its windows boarded up.
- During his many years of travel, he heard the same terrified whispers of a terrible sorceress who could command the dark forces of the wilderness and control beasts and monsters. Ozma was convinced that this Witch could be none other than Salem. – As soon as he reached the door, he stopped a little and remembered the warning of the God of Light. But he decided that he must see what the woman he loved so much had become.
He didn't even have to knock, the door opened and Salem stepped out, with snow-white skin, ash-gray hair, black and red eyes and dark wizard robes. Her face was full of contempt and hatred but as soon as she saw Ozma, it didn't matter that it was in the form of another person but she got to know him and after so many years, she finally felt joy and smiled gently. Both of their hearts skipped a beat and they just stared at each other in shock. They both looked different from the last time they saw each other but they both recognized the other immediately.
- Call it magic or something even stronger but in that one moment, they both knew who was standing in front of them. - Ozma and Salem's hand, after so much time they finally met and they smiled at each other as tenderly as the day when Ozma rescued Salem from her father's castle.
- Then... - Ozma didn't know what to say. - now what?
- Whatever we want. - Salem replied.
- While Salem and Ozma made up for lost time and blessed the events that brought them together again, - As time went by, the forest cabin became cleaner and less alarming, as the couple set up their home there and over the years it became a comfortable love nest. - both kept certain things from the other. - The couple, not caring about anything, just immersed in each other's company, sat on the terrace at a coffee table and just talked for long hours.
- Salem, afraid that Ozma would reject her and make her responsible for the end of the world and Ozma was still unsure of what the whole truth was, kept the relics and his mission in secret. Time passed and the couple seemed happy, Ozma's conversation with the God of Light was still fresh in his mind. He had found happiness but humanity was now more divided than ever.
- Are you surprised? - Salem could be heard after Ozpin told her about his mission. - This world is practically godless. These people have no one to lead them. Maybe that's what they need.
- What are you talking about? – Ozma didn't really understand what Salem was trying to do, while Salem was only clutching her teacup and watched her own reflection in her drink.
- We could be the gods of this world. We have more power than anyone else in this world. Our souls rise above death. We could make this world whatever we want it to be. Whatever you want it to be. We could create the Paradise that the old gods could not. - Ozma looked to the side uncertainly but Salem gently touched his cheek.
- The people's hearts are easily manipulated. – Jinn reminded everyone of what Salem had learned during her eternal life.
Another smoke screen showed another city attacked by a huge Nevermore, the people were terrified and there was no one to save them.
Suddenly, the Nevermore stopped mid-air and an invisible force began to fold and twist it until it evaporated. Salem and Ozma, appearing in its place, levitated themselves with their magic and made it clear that they defeated Nevermore.
The whole city knelt before them and began to admire them.
The team found themselves back in the white void, where there was a stone statue of Salem and Ozma as a reminder of how close they used to be.
- The two of them grew in popularity and as the years passed, a rich and benevolent kingdom was created and at the head of that empire, - At the top of a palace tower was a spacious bedroom with a fireplace in the middle, above which was an oil painting of Ozma and Salem was found with four little girls with golden blonde hair. - a family was standing.
Ozma and Salem ruled the kingdom, which flourished under their rule, as did their love for each other, and the fruit of this love was four beautiful and healthy little girls whose parents could watch them play all day long.
Unfortunately, the wars weren't over yet, even though Salem and Ozma's empire was dominant, there were plenty of opposing and rebel factions who were against them and continued to fight. With the help of her crystal ball, Salem recognized their weaknesses and was ready with a dozen war plans on how to break their resistance.
- Are you sure this is right? - Ozma wasn't so sure anymore.
- You said that we need to bring humanity together as a whole. - Salem enjoyed a little too much. - In order to do this, we must spread our word and destroy those who reject it.
Ozma didn't agree with his wife, he would have preferred to say that this thing was wrong, but he was afraid that he might lose her.
"What are you doing?!", even he was surprised when his reflection questioned him and he felt that he had to choose between his love and his duty.
- That's not what they asked me to do. - He muttered to himself but Salem heard him.
- What did you say? - She asked curiously. She understood what he said but not what he meant.
Before she could question her husband, one of their golden blonde-haired little girls came through the door with a big smile on her face.
- Mom! Dad! Look! – The little girl summoned six different orbs of light, which was clearly the inheritance of their parents' magical power, which warmed Salem's heart so much that she forgot all the problems. Ozma, on the other hand, worried that Salem would use their daughters as weapons in her war.
- It was a miracle. Their children inherited their magical powers. Unfortunately, what should have been a joyous thing was short-lived and led to a lot of bitterness. Ozma told Salem everything. The real reason why the gods allowed him to come back to life was about the relics that were scattered somewhere in the world and the day of the judgement that they must prepare for one day.
- Don't you understand? - Salem just waved as if she didn't care. - That doesn't matter anymore! Why waste our lives trying to redeem these people when we can turn them into something that even the gods couldn't turn them into. Salem held out her arms, hoping that her husband would support her but Ozma, after a short thought, just stared at his wife with disdain and took a step back.
Fearing that Salem was planning to use their daughters for destruction or worse, Ozma gathered them that night after Salem fell asleep to escape the castle. They tried to sneak as quietly as they could.
- Mom? - Unfortunately, it wasn't enough because Salem sensed her husband's doubt. She stood there in the night in front of the window looking at Ozma as angrily as he had never seen her before.
Ozma felt ashamed and terribly sorry for tearing the four girls away from their mother without a word but fearing that she wouldn't understand and die before letting her daughters raise to be killers, he grabbed his staff and invoked a protective spell.
Salem, who understood that her husband didn't want to support her in her plans but that he run away with her children without a word because he didn't trust her crossed a certain line and attacked Ozma with an offensive red spell but he launched a green spell at her.
The two of them fought for many hours, because they were equally strong, and in this battle the entire palace was destroyed, the girls who were caught in the crossfire of the magic power of the two parents also fell victims and both Ozma and Salem used all their magic power to strike a final blow at each other.
Ozma managed to eliminate Salem but he was seriously injured, barely able to crawl out from under the debris and trailing a thick line of blood.
Salem, being immortal, reappeared, unharmed, stomping on her husband's chest, keeping him grounded.
- We have finally won freedom! - She focused all her anger on her husband, intent on finishing him off. - You ruined everything!
- I... - Ozma weakly tried to say something but Salem didn't even wait for him and with a blow of flame.
Everything went dark, but they saw Ozma again, in another person's body, walking past a cemetery, a decrepit old man. The only thing that could tell it was Ozma was that he was carrying his staff, no matter what form he took.
- This began a long and lonely journey for Ozma, which included continuous death and rebirth. - He appeared as another person, holding a bottle of hard liquor as he walked past a sea of empty bottles, drunk. - Some lives were spent only in mourning, but many others were spent trying to forget. – In the form of a third person, he was already determined and held the same cane in his hand as Oscar. - But none of that mattered, because his mind returned to his mission, the burden of which he had been carrying for so many years. Over the centuries, Ozma learned to live with the soul of the person in whose body he lived in.
The man he lived in this time was a father who was taking care of his children and his wife and was serving dinner to his children when he heard a scream outside the house. He didn't hesitate, grabbing his cane and went out the door to see a pack of Grimm attacking his village.
- But it didn't matter where he went or what he did. His presence was always felt by Salem. In order for humanity to have a chance to become unified, it had to do one thing by all means.
- Destroy Salem. - Ruby figured it out.
- Knowing that he could never be freed from this world as long as there was only one person left in the world, - The body he lived in began to grow old and weak, so he continued to tinker with his cane and hid it in a safe. - Ozma started researching the relics. Armed with my knowledge, he hoped to accomplish the task the God of Light had entrusted to him. – A moment later, the safe opened again and Ozma, in the body of a completely different, younger man, returned for the cane.
The blue curtain of smoke showed the great whiteness again, there stood Ozma, holding the lamp of Knowledge, summoning Jinn to ask the first three questions.
- Where are the other relics?
- He asked me his questions.
- What power do they have?
- And I gave them the answer.
- How can I destroy Salem?
- But not all the answers were to his liking.
- You can't. – Past Jinn answered, which not only crushed Ozma but even team RWBY, Roman, Qrow and Oscar's lost hope.
The vision ended and they all found themselves back in the blizzard.
