Chapter 10
With that said Lilith's eyes closed and she turned back to normal. Her body went limp and is falling. Eda who is now back in her harpy form. Flew over and caught Lilith. She looked down at Lilith and said "Don't worry Lilly I've got you." The moon has moved on and the sun is shining. Alador shut off the abominations and let people leave. Eda landed and Luz and her friends ran up to her.
"Eda are you ok?" asked Luz
Eda nodded and replied "Yeah I'm ok. But I'm worried about Lilly." She knelt down and Luz her friends can see that. Lilith is barely breathing and has new marks on her. Suddenly she opened her eyes and smiled weakly. Eda also smiled and asked "Hey Lilly how are you doing?"
"I'm weak Eda I'm sure if I'm going to make It." replied weakly
"Come on let's go find Isis." suggested Eda
"No Eda just please let's go home." stated Lilith
Eda nodded and flew toward the Owl House. Luz and her friends followed on their staffs. Once at the Owl House Eda transformed back to normal. Then everyone went inside. Eda carried Lilith up to her room. The witch went into her room and laid Lilith in her nest. Then she asked "Are you sure you don't want me to go get Isis?" Lilith shook her head and replied "I'm sure Eda I don't think she help me. The Titan sharing my body with me took its toll." Luz and her friends came into the room and stood around Eda's nest. King climbed into the nest and snuggled up next to Lilith. Eda walked away and summoned her staff.
"Owlbert I need your help." stated Eda sadly
The little brown owl at the end of her staff. Turned into a real owl and hooted. Starting to cry Eda asked "Owlbert could you please go get Mom, Dad, and Raine?" Owlbert nodded, hooted, and flew off. Eda walked back over to her nest and asked "Do you need anything Lilly?" Lilith shook her head and replied "No thank you for asking." As she laid there in Eda's nest Lilith looked around the room. She can see Luz, Willow, Gus, Amity, and Hunter. When she saw Hunter she said "Hunter I'm glad you're here. Because I would like to apologize to you. For the way I treated you while we were in the Emperor's Coven."
Hunter nodded and said "I appreciate the apology." Ten minutes later Owlbert returned to the house. He has brought Gwendolyn, Del, and Raine with him. Eda left her room long enough to greet her Mother, Father, and Raine.
"What's wrong Edalyn why did you have Owlbert bring us here?" asked Gwendolyn
"Because I think Lilly is dying." sobbed Eda
Both Gwendolyn and Del are in shock at what Eda just said. Gwendolyn and Del hugged their daughter. Then everyone went into Eda's room. Lilith heard them come in saw her parents and Raine. She smiled weakly and said "Mother, Dad, Raine it's good to see you." Gwendolyn also smiled and said "It's good to see you too sweat flea." As the rest of the day went on. Del and Hunter went outside and started making a coffin. Raine stayed with Eda to comfort her. But they did ask Owlbert to go tell Darius and Mason. Everyone ended up sleeping in Eda's room that night. In the morning after breakfast they all went back to Eda's room.
Lilith isn't doing very well and she knows it. So she decided to use what strength she has left to talk to everyone.
"Everyone I don't have much time. So just want to say I'm sorry for everything. That I did while I was in the Emperor's Coven. I was such a terrible person. Maybe after I die I'll come back as a better person. Mother, Dad, Eda, and King I love you all so much. Thank you giving me another chance. Luz the Titan told me that The Collector could possibly be able to help you get back home. And Amity I'm glad that you forgive me. For what I did at the convention. That makes me feel better. Goodbye everyone." informed Lilith
With that said Lilith's eyes closed and she stopped breathing. Hunter checked for a pulse and said "I'm sorry everyone she's gone." Everyone in Eda's room started crying. That afternoon Lilith was buried in the Clawthorne family cemetery. Mason has made a headstone for Lilith's grave. A week later Darius, Emberwolf, Eda, and King. Went to the Titan's skull and found the Collector's plate. They released using King's blood. And true to what Lilith said to Luz. The Collector did know how to help Luz get back home. He created a portal door on the Owl House. So that Luz can come and go as she pleased.
When the Bonesborough library reopened. They renamed it as the Lilith Clawthorne memorial library. Eda is touched that they renamed the library in her sister's honor. It's not the same without Lilith. But Eda knows that he sister isn't suffering anymore. And with the Boiling Isles coming back stronger than ever. And witches living in peace and able to use whatever magic they please. Eda know that Lilith can rest in peace.
