The Unseen Inheritance
Chapter 4: The HH Plan
Harry's Message
"Hey Hermione, I've been thinking about the houses. Greknor's helping me set everything up."
Hermione's Response
"Harry, I'm still reeling from everything we learned. I keep thinking about all the times Dumbledore... manipulated us."
Harry's Message
"I know, me too. It's hard to process. But we have to focus on what we can control now. Our own safety and plans."
Hermione's Response
"I feel so lost, Harry. Who can we trust? Ron, the Weasleys... they're all in on it."
Harry's Message
"I know. It hurts. But we have each other, and we'll find others who care about the truth. The cottage and Godric's Hollow will be our sanctuary."
Hermione's Response
"I'm scared, Harry. What if we're wrong? What if we're making a huge mistake?"
Harry's Message
"We're not wrong, Hermione. We have the Truth Seeker's results. We know what Dumbledore's capable of. We'll get through this together."
Hermione's Response
"Godric's Hollow... it's a lot to take in. Our own base, our own home... it feels like a lifeline."
Harry's Message
"Exactly! And the cottage, our private retreat... it's ours, Hermione. No one will ever take that away."
Hermione's Response
"I'm worried about our safety, Harry. If Dumbledore's willing to manipulate Ron and the Weasleys, what else is he capable of?"
Harry's Message
"I know. Me too. But we have to be smart, Hermione. We'll set up security charms at Godric's Hollow and the cottage. Greknor's already working on it."
Hermione's Response
"But what about at Hogwarts? We can't just hide in our rooms all year. We need to gather information, talk to teachers..."
Harry's Message
"I've been thinking about that. We'll need to be careful, choose our allies wisely. McGonagall, maybe Sprout... they seem less likely to be under Dumbledore's control."
Hermione's Response "And what about Ron? Harry, I feel terrible about what's happening to him. He's our friend, or at least he was..."
Harry's Message
"I know, Hermione. Me too. But we can't save Ron right now. We have to focus on our own safety and the investigation. Maybe someday we can help him."
Hermione's Response
"I hope so, Harry. I really do. Okay, what's the plan for Godric's Hollow? How will we use it?"
Harry's Message
"We'll make it our headquarters. Research, strategy sessions... we'll invite trusted allies there. And the cottage will be our private retreat, our sanctuary."
Hermione's Response
"I keep thinking about Ron, Harry. How could he do this to us?"
Harry's Message
"I know, Hermione. It hurts. But we have to remember, Ron's under Dumbledore's influence. He's not fully in control."
Hermione's Response
"That's what scares me. What else is Dumbledore capable of? Controlling people's minds, actions... it's terrifying."
Harry's Message
"We'll get through this, Hermione. We have each other, and we'll find others who care about the truth. But we need to be smart, cautious."
Hermione's Response
"I feel so guilty, Harry. We should have seen the signs, done something sooner..."
Harry's Message
"Stop, Hermione. We did the best we could with what we knew. We can't change the past, but we can change the future."
Hermione's Response
"What about Professor Snape, Harry? He's a wild card, complicated past, but if we can win him over he's intelligent, resourceful... an amazing ally."
"Hermione, with Snape, we need to be patient and understanding. He's got a lot of baggage, and his loyalty to Dumbledore is complicated. But I think he's capable of more than we've seen."
Hermione's Response
"I agree. He's always seemed... torn.
Harry's Message
"Exactly! And I think that's because he's struggling with his own past. If we can show him we're fighting for what's right, he might join us willingly."
Hermione's Response
"Having Professor Snape on our side would be a game-changer."
Harry's Message
"But we need to approach him with empathy, not suspicion. Show him we trust him, and he might just surprise us."
Hermione's Message
"Harry, I'm surprised you're so willing to include Snape. You've always had a…difficult relationship with him."
Harry's Message
"I know, Hermione. But after everything we've learned about Dumbledore, I'm rethinking everything. I realize now that Snape's behavior might not be entirely his own choice."
Hermione's Response
"What do you mean?"
Harry's Message
"I think Dumbledore's been manipulating him, just like he has with Ron and the others. And maybe even Voldemort's got a hold on him too."
Hermione's Response
"That's a lot to consider. But what makes you think Professor Snape's not fully in control?"
Harry's Message
"Remember how Snape's always seemed to be walking a fine line? His loyalty to Lily, his protection of me... it doesn't add up with his Death Eater past. I think he's caught between two masters, Hermione."
Hermione's Response
"That would explain a lot. But if we're right, and Professor Snape's is being manipulated... do you think he'd be willing to join us?"
Harry's Message
"I do. If we can show him the truth, help him see that he's being used... I think he'll turn against Dumbledore and Voldemort. He's not evil, Hermione. He's complicated."
Hermione's Response
"I've been trying to convince you of that for years already."
Harry's Message
"We really should figure out everything we have to do before going back to Hogwarts also."
Hermione's Response
"What did you have in mind? I was thinking some basics, clothing shopping and school supplies."
Harry's Message
"Yes, all of that definitely, we need a shopping list!"
Hermione's Response
"Alright, shopping list! Let's start with the essentials. Madam Malkin's for our school robes and some nicer day-to-day robes."
Harry's Message
"Definitely. And Flourish and Blotts for our school books. I also want to pick up some new books on Defense Against the Dark Arts."
Hermione's Response
"Sounds good to me. And Ollivander's for some stylish wand holsters. I've been eyeing those silver ones."
Harry's Message
"Nice choice. Quality Quidditch Supplies is next for me. Need to upgrade my broomstick gear and get some new Quidditch robes."
Hermione's Response
"Oh, and I almost forgot! I want to get a broom to, never know when I might need one now."
Harry's Message
"Brilliant! Hard to picture you on a broom! And we can't forget about our trunks. I heard about a new shop, 'Trunk Treasures', that makes custom trunks with protective charms."
Hermione's Response
"Perfect! We need something secure to keep our belongings safe. Let's order custom trunks with Anti-Theft Charms and Spell-Resistant Lining."
Harry's Message
"Exactly. Here's our shopping list: 1. Madam Malkin's (school robes, day-to-day robes) 2. Flourish and Blotts (school books, Defense Against the Dark Arts books) 3. Ollivander's (wand holsters) 4. Quality Quidditch Supplies (broomstick gear, Quidditch robes, brooms) 5. Trunk Treasures (custom trunks with protective charms) Shall we make a day of it in Diagon Alley?"
Hermione's Response
"Sounds like we have a solid plan. If we have time, I'd love to stop by the Junk Shop too. You never know what hidden gems we might find."
Harry's Message
"Agreed. The Junk Shop's always worth a browse. Okay, added to the list. 1. Madam Malkin's (school robes, day-to-day robes) 2. Flourish and Blotts (school books, Defense Against the Dark Arts books) 3. Ollivander's (wand holsters) 4. Quality Quidditch Supplies (broomstick gear, Quidditch robes, brooms) 5. Trunk Treasures (custom trunks with protective charms) 6. The Junk Shop (treasure hunting)
Hermione's Response
"Perfect! Oh, and for our trunks, what kind of monograms do you think? Our initials or something more subtle?"
Harry's Message
"I've got it! What about intertwined 'HH's? It's simple, yet meaningful."
Hermione's Response
"I adore that! The double HH's will look stunning on our trunks."
Harry's Message
"Exactly! And it's a subtle nod to our friendship. Trunk Treasures will make it look amazing."
Hermione's Response
"I can already picture it. Elegant, silver HH's on a rich wood background... beautiful."
Harry's Message
"Night, Hermione. Sweet dreams of our new trunks!
Hermione's Response
"Night, Harry.
