Kanto Gets Loud

Chapter 95: The Ninja Poke-Showdown!

Back with Lincoln and company,

"So, how much further is it until the Gym?" Lincoln asked, as they pushed past some foliage, being led by Aya.

"You needn't be so impatient, young man. You'll see the Gym in just a moment," Aya replied. And she was telling the truth, as the visage of what appeared to be a ninja castle appeared from deep within the foliage of the forest.

"Ooh, how classy!" Millie commented. They all saw the Pokemon League Insignia on the gate leading into the castle, indicating that this was, in fact, the Fuchsia City Gym, as Aya had said. She led them through the main doors, where they saw several other trainers, either looking like magicians, ninjas or circus tamers, sitting around the main lobby.

"Stand to attention, all of you! We have a Challenger!" Aya boomed, getting the Gym Trainers to their feet.

"I welcome you as well," Janine said, as she appeared in a cloud of smoke, along with Koga, "As you've been made aware, I am Janine, Leader of the Fuchsia City Gym, taking over for my father, Koga."

"I'm honored to have the privilege of challenging your Gym, Janine," Lincoln said respectfully.

"Well met. Now then, as you already know, to challenge me to a Gym Battle, you must first clear the Gym's Test of Character. For the Fuchsia Gym, that means trying to locate three keys that'll unlock the door to the main battlefield on the other end of this mansion," Janine explained the rules for the Test of Character.

"That doesn't sound too hard," Josh commented.

"Are all of these 'Tests of Character' like this?" Coco asked.

"Not especially. Each and every Gym has their own different Test of Character, meant to test each challenger and weed out those who are unfit to participate in the Pokemon League," Misty replied.

"Quite right. And the three keys are in different parts of this mansion, each filled with different types of tricks and traps, meant to confuse and disorient challengers. You'll also have to battle any Gym Trainers you come across, even if the room you enter doesn't have a key," Janine explained.

"That being said, do you accept my daughter's challenge?" Koga asked.

"Yes!" Lincoln proclaimed.

"Alright. Trainers, to your positions!" Janine ordered, as all the Gym Trainers dispersed.

"If you all will follow me, I'll take you to the Battlefield," Aya said.

"Thanks. We'll see you later then, Lincoln," Misty said, as she and the others left with Aya.

"Be ready, Lincoln, for your Test of Character begins NOW!" Koga said, as he and Janine disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

"This is an awful lot like the Maiden's Peak Gym's Test of Character, wouldn't you say?" Pikachu asked.

"Yeah, so we're going to have to check each room one at a time," Lincoln replied, as they entered the castle proper. Everything seemed normal, right up until Lincoln felt himself hitting some kind of barrier, "What the...?!" he exclaimed, feeling the space in front of him, only to find that there was, in fact, a barrier there.

"This must be a dead end. Let's head back, and try…" Pikachu got cut off when he felt another barrier where he and Lincoln just came from, "Aw great, we're trapped!"

"I don't think so, Pikachu… Remember, this Gym is also a Ninja Castle, which means there might be a gimmick to get out of here," Lincoln replied, as he and Pikachu searched their cramped surroundings for a way out.

"Tsk, you'd think they'd have a switch or something underneath the floorboards, or something," Pikachu grumbled.

"They might be trying to force us to quit," Lincoln replied, leaning against a wall, only for that wall to spin open, causing him to fall through, "That or there's a false door here."

"Got to remember, this is a Ninja Castle… All sorts of hidden gimmicks are around," Pikachu commented, as Lincoln got up.

"Alright, we need to search every nook and cranny in this room for one of the keys," Lincoln commented, just as one of the magician trainers from before entered from behind a scroll.

"Looks no further, challenger. I have what you seek right here," he said, holding a key.

"And I'm to assume that if I want it, I have to win against you in a battle?" Lincoln asked.

"That's right. Each trainer you face will use only one Pokemon, and you can't leave a room you enter without defeating them, even if they don't have a key," the trainer said, as he tossed a Pokeball, releasing a fairly large, yellow Pokemon with a long, bushy tail, a long moustache, and holding a single spoon. It also had a red star in the middle of its forehead.

"Who's that Pokemon?" Lincoln questioned, as he scanned it.

"Kadabra, the Psi Pokemon, a Psychic Type first discovered in the Kanto Region, and the evolved form of Abra. When it uses its psychic powers, it emits powerful alpha waves that can ruin precision instruments," Dexter explained.

"Wasn't expecting a Psychic Type Pokemon in a Poison Type Gym, but a battle is still a battle! Go, Percival!" Lincoln said, sending out Percival.

"Ah, an Alolan Persian, huh? Guess the rumors about you are true," the trainer commented.

"Well just you wait and see! Percival, lets land a strong hit with Shadow Ball!" Lincoln called out. Percival then fired off Shadow Ball at Kadabra.

"Kadabra, use Light Screen!" the trainer called out. Kadabra then erected a barrier that didn't completely block Shadow Ball, but it did significantly weaken it.

"Whoa, what move was that?" Lincoln questioned.

"Light Screen. It's a move that lessens the damage from Special Attacks like Shadow Ball," the trainer replied.

"Alright, but can it stand up to Physical Attacks? Use Night Slash!" Lincoln called out. Percival then charged at Kadabra, brandishing its glowing, purple claws, when…

"Don't count on it! Use Reflect!" Kadabra then erected another barrier that didn't completely block Night Slash, but still caused quite a bit of damage.

"Let me guess, Reflect lessens Physical Attack Power?" Lincoln asked.

"That's right. Now it's our move! Kadabra, use Miracle Eye!" the trainer called out. Kadabra's eyes began glowing in an array of colors.

"Alright, so what's Miracle Eye?" Lincoln questioned.

"Information: Miracle Eye, a Psychic Type Status Move that allows the user to use Psychic Type Moves against Dark Type Pokemon. It also enables an evasive target to be hit," Dexter explained.

"But that would mean…!" Lincoln didn't even need to finish his thought.

"That's right! Kadabra, use Psycho Cut!" the trainer ordered. Kadabra then threw a blade of psychic energy at Percival, landing a powerful blow.

"You ok, Percival?" Lincoln asked.

"Yeah, but I never expected that I'd ever get hit with a Psychic Type Move," Percival replied.

"Well, even if Kadabra has higher defenses thanks to Light Screen and Reflect, the damage is still there, and it was Super Effective Damage to boot. We just have to hit him hard with more Super Effective attacks, so use Dark Pulse!" Lincoln called out. Percival fired off Dark Pulse, which was weakened by Light Screen. However, true to what Lincoln said, Kadabra took sizable damage from the last two attacks, and Dark Pulse was the last hit needed to bring down the Psi Pokemon, "Alright!"

"Nice battling, kid. Here's the key," the trainer said, tossing the key to Lincoln, just as one of the doors to the room opened up, "That hallway will take you upstairs to your next challenge."

"Ok, thanks," Lincoln said, recalling Percival, and heading onward.

Meanwhile, back at the Team Rocket Camp just outside of Royal Woods,

While Petrel, Proton, and the rest of the Grunts were going over the data they've collected so far on the layout of Royal Woods to plan strategic measures to capture Lincoln's family, a car pulled up. Stepping out of it were the scientists that were at the Reynolds House earlier that morning, "Ah, you three are back, I see. So, how'd it go?" Petrel asked, as they threw off their lab coats.

"Well, we were able to locate their house, and managed to get inside, just as you wanted us to," the head grunt said.

"And we found out it is as we were told from our agents in the field. The brat has been sending over his Pokemon occasionally, as well as the data from his Pokedex. Unfortunately, we couldn't get his family to relinquish the data to us without blowing our cover," the second grunt added.

"Well, it doesn't matter if you failed in that regard. I just needed you guys to find where they lived. Speaking of which, were you able to get surveillance?" Petrel asked. The lead grunt simply handing him a USB drive.

"We've got it all on there," he replied.

"Good. If things go according to plan, we might be able to move things up ahead of schedule," Petrel grinned evilly.

"And while we were in town, we found a ton of places that sound like they serve good food. We should look into having those salvaged when we take over this dumpy little town," the third grunt suggested.

"While we're here to do recon on that brat's family and not to scope out places to pig out at, you do raise something of a valid point. Since this place will soon belong to Team Rocket, we should decide on what kind of food we'd want to eat at," Petrel replied, as Proton approached.

"Petrel, sir, shall we go over the data they've collected?" he asked.

"Yes, lets," Petrel replied, as they entered the tent once again.

Meanwhile, at Lucius' Castle in the Monster Realm,

The families had all gathered once more to discuss Lilianna and the other women's time with Lincoln, "So, how did things go with the kid?" Striker asked.

"Well, for starters, things were quite eventful, to say the least. And we did get to see how his profession actually operates," Stella replied.

"But did any of you see anything that would validate your claims, Stella?" Lucius asked.

"During our time, we haven't seen anything that would indicate the boy becoming a Demon Lord. He's just a genuinely good natured boy who wants to help where he can," Stella replied.

"Though much like any boy his age, he did tend to be a little immature, what with him being so excitable and all, but that's hardly a negative quality, since his mature qualities did balance out," Carmilla replied.

"But one thing I don't get is why the theory on the little guy becoming a new Demon Lord? We don't even know how one is even made into one, so we can't discern any signs of him becoming one, let alone a Werewolf Demon Lord," Gilda stated.

"True as that may be, he DID influence my daughter's evolution into a High Succubus, which isn't something the Monster Realm has seen for thousands of years," Elanor pointed out.

"Even my prophetic viewings are too foggy to discern anything clearly. We're just going to have to wait and see what the future has in store," Stolas stated.

Meanwhile, back with Lincoln,

With a quick Ice Punch, Gengar was able to take down a Venomoth, thus defeating a Tamer Trainer, "Well done, squirt! However, I don't have any of the two remaining keys you need. But you can proceed," he said, allowing Lincoln to pass through.

"Alright, so far, we've bested five trainers since getting our first key. There shouldn't be too many of them left," Lincoln commented, as he opened a sliding door, and entering, only to nearly lose his balance upon feeling the room slant to the side, "Whoa, what's going on?!" he exclaimed.

"This is a Slanted Room," a ninja trainer said, as she appeared in a puff of smoke, "Its purpose is to confuse and disorient challengers. Shall we begin?" she asked, holding an Ultra Ball.

"We shall!" Lincoln replied, as the trainer sent out a Weezing, "A Weezing? Clever, since it won't be affected by the Slanted Floor. In that case, go, Excalibur!" Lincoln said, sending out his Doublade, Excalibur.

"How interesting a choice. You normally don't see Pokemon like that in Kanto," the trainer commented.

"That's right, and Excalibur's ready to go!" Lincoln declared.

"First move honors are yours," the trainer replied.

"Alright, Excalibur, use Swords Dance!" Lincoln called out. Excalibur then used Swords Dance, powering up its Attack Strength, "Alright, now use Night Slash!" Excalibur then began swinging it's twin sword body, slicing into Weezing.

"Shake it off, Weezing! Use Shadow Ball!" the trainer called out. Weezing then fired a Shadow Ball, striking Excalibur head on, "Lucky thing that all Doublade have the No Guard Ability, so any attack we use is guaranteed to hit!"

"True, but it also means that any attack WE use is a sure fire hit too! Excalibur, use Iron Head!" the hilts on Excalibur's twin swords turned metallic, as it rammed into Weezing, sending it down to defeat, "Oh yeah!"

"Well played," the ninja trainer said, as she pulled a key out from her robes and tossed it to Lincoln, "The last key is just before the final door. Head down the hallway, take the staircase, then take the third left, you can't miss it."

"Thanks for the directions," Lincoln said, recalling Excalibur, before leaving, thankful to be out of the Slanted Room.

"Alright, so that's two keys down, and now we know where the third one is," Pikachu commented.

"And once we get that key, it'll finally be time for my battle with Janine," Lincoln replied, as they followed the ninja girl's directions, eventually finding themselves in front of a large, wooden door with three different locks, "This must be the place. So, where's the third key?" he wondered, just as some familiar laughing was heard, as Aya leapt down from above.

"I'm impressed you managed to make it this far on your first try. Still, you must first face me and Venonat before you can be allowed to challenge Janine," she said, releasing a fuzzy, purple bug Pokemon with large, red eyes.

"Who's that Pokemon?" Lincoln wondered, scanning Aya's Pokemon.

"Venonat, the Insect Pokemon, a Bug and Poison Type first discovered in the Kanto Region. Its eyes act as radar, allowing it to be active in darkness. The eyes can also shoot powerful beams," Dexter explained.

"Alright, in that case, I know who I'm going with! Go, Fearow!" Lincoln called out, sending in Fearow.

"Hmm, good choice, using a Flying Type against my Bug Type. But we'll see how good a move that was," Aya commented.

"Just you see! Fearow, use Aerial Ace!" Lincoln called out. Fearow swooped down, landing a powerful Aerial Ace on Venonat.

"While it's still in range, use Poison Powder!" Aya called out, as Venonat began spreading Poison Powder. Fearow instinctively got out of the way just in time, "Alright, use Confusion!" Venonat then used Confusion, catching Fearow in its grasp and slamming it on the ground. Lincoln breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing that Fearow wasn't confused.

"Alright Fearow, use Mirror Move!" Lincoln called out. Fearow used Confusion thanks to Mirror Move, sending Venonat back into a wall, completely spent from battle, "Alright!"

"That was a quick battle," Fearow commented, proud of herself, as Aya recalled Venonat.

"Valiant effort, Venonat," she said, before turning to Lincoln, "Well, you've completed the Fuchsia Gym's Test of Character, and now you have the right to take on Janine. I suggest you ready yourself, for the battle will begin as soon as you enter those doors," Aya said, handing Lincoln the third and final key. Lincoln approached the door, thinking about his team.

"Gengar and the others are probably too spent from those other battles to battle anymore, so I'll have to swap them out," Lincoln commented, using his Pokedex to access his Storage Box. As soon as he did, he began to mull over his options, "Lets see, I'll bring in these four!" he said, as he exchanged four of his current Pokeballs for four Pokeballs from Storage, "Alright, now I'm ready," he said, as he used the keys to unlock the door, which began to open widely, revealing a Gym Battle field surrounded by cherry blossom trees, and a pond. Nearby in the stands, he saw his friends waiting patiently. Looking across the battlefield, he saw Janine, meditating in a pagoda. She opened her eyes to find Lincoln before her.

"Welcome, Challenger!" she said, as she leapt over onto her side of the battlefield with a flip, "Formal introductions: I am the Fuchsia City Gym Leader, Janine. I specialize in Poison Type Pokemon, much like my father, the previous Gym Leader! How will you handle a ninja's greatest weapon?" she questioned.

"You're about to find out!" Lincoln said, taking his position on the battlefield. Aya then appeared in the referee box.

"Attention, all! The official Gym Battle between Janine, the Fuchsia City Gym Leader and Lincoln Loud, the Challenger, shall now get under way. Both trainers are permitted no more than four Pokemon, and the battle will be decided when all four of either side's Pokemon cannot continue. In addition, only the challenger is permitted to substitute Pokemon!" she explained.

"Four on four?" Kiki questioned.

"Depending on how Lincoln battles, this could be a long match," Brock commented.

"Alright, now for my first Pokemon, go Arbok!" Janine exclaimed, sending out an Arbok.

"Arbok, huh? In that case, Scizor, you're up!" Lincoln said, sending out Scizor.

"Hey, I remember that one!" Apple commented, seeing Scizor.

"Mmm, coming at us with a Steel Type. Clever, but we'll see how clever that is," Janine commented.

"The challenger has the first move! And begin!" Aya said, waving the flags in her hand.

"Alright Scizor, use Agility, then into Slash!" Lincoln called out. Scizor then began moving faster and faster, increasing its speed, before rocketing at Arbok with a Slash Attack.

"Arbok, while it's in range, use Fire Fang!" Janine ordered.

"WHAT?!" Lincoln exclaimed, as Arbok lunged at Scizor with flame covered fangs, biting down hard, causing an explosion. Scizor was still standing, but barely, "I wasn't expecting a Fire Type Attack!"

"Naturally. Since our Gym Specializes in Poison Types, many challengers come at us with Steel Type Pokemon, so we train our Pokemon in ways to counteract that immunity. But enough talk, Arbok, use Mud Shot!" Abrok then began firing Mud Shot at Scizor.

"Double Team and evade!" Lincoln said, as afterimages of Scizor began appearing all over the battlefield, "Alright, now use Razor Wind!" Scizor then began whipping up a whirlwind, getting ready for Razor Wind.

"Arbok, quick, use Toxic Spikes!" Janine called out. Abrok fired up a purple ball, which exploded in the air, causing several projectiles to land all over Lincoln's side of the field.

"Huh, what was that move?" Vaggie asked.

"That was Toxic Spikes," Brock explained, as all eyes trained on him, "When used, any new Pokemon that's sent out will become Poisoned. And if it's used twice, then whatever new Pokemon is sent out will become Badly Poisoned. It has no effect on the Pokemon currently out on the battlefield, or on Steel or Poison Types. In fact, sending out a Poison Type would disperse Toxic Spikes," he explained, just as Scizor fired off Razor Wind, sending Arbok down to defeat.

"Arbok is unable to battle!" Aya declared.

"Alright, Lincoln got the first win!" Apple exclaimed.

"But he still has a long way to go," Misty commented.

"Well played but let's see you deal with this!" Janine said, sending out a Weezing.

"Now it's a Weezing. Keep your guard up, Scizor!" Lincoln called, as Scizor readied itself.

"Weezing, use Heat Wave!" Janine called out. Weezing then blasted Scizor with a stream of hot air, causing significant damage to the Pincer Pokemon.

"You ok, Scizor?" Lincoln asked.

"I'll be fine, but I don't know if I can handle another hit like that," Scizor replied.

"Weezing, use Toxic Spikes now!" Janine ordered. Her Weezing fired Toxic Spikes all over Lincoln's side of the battlefield.

"Hope Lincoln's planning to use another Steel Type a Poison Type. Any others will be Badly Poisoned," Misty commented.

"Now, use Flamethrower!" Weezing then fired off Flamethrower.

"Block that attack with Swords Dance!" Lincoln called out. Scizor began spinning around and around while using Swords Dance, powering up while also blocking Flamethrower.

"WHAT?!" Janine exclaimed.

"What is that?!" Kat exclaimed.

"It's a special way of using Swords Dance that Lincoln's Scizor learned when it was just a Scyther. The air flow around it is blocking Flamethrower, thus protecting Scizor," Brock explained.

"Alright, now use Air Slash!" Scizor then fired off Air Slash, sending it straight at Weezing.

"Use Smokescreen!" Janine ordered. Weezing began using Smokescreen, and using the cover to dodge Air Slash.

"Watch your step, Scizor! Weezing could be anywhere!" Lincoln called out.

"Now use Shadow Ball!" a Shadow Ball was shot out from the smoke, striking Scizor and sending it down to defeat.

"Scizor is unable to battle!" Aya declared.

"Aw, too bad for Scizor," Milt commented.

"Now let's see what the kid's got up his sleeve next," Blitz commented.

"Salazzle, you're up!" Lincoln said, sending out his Salazzle. Upon making contact with the battlefield, sparks flew as the Toxic Spikes were nullified.

"Alright! Since Salazzle's a Poison Type itself, it canceled out the Toxic Spikes!" Brock exclaimed.

"Salazzle, lets start off with Nasty Plot!" Lincoln said. Salazzle began thinking and kept thinking until it got a nasty idea and cackled. It glowed red as a result.

"What kind of a move was that?" Blitz asked.

"Nasty Plot is a move in which the user stimulates its brain by thinking bad thoughts. Doing so increases its Special Attack Power," Brock explained.

"Alright, use Flamethrower!" Lincoln called out. Salazzle then began blasting Weezing with Flamethrower. It burst into flames after the attack died off, "Alright, now Weezing has the Burn Status. That'll make things a bit easier for us."

"Don't count on it! Weezing, Shadow Ball!" Janine ordered. Weezing fired Shadow Ball, striking Salazzle, who was able to shake it off, "Now into Double Hit!" Weezing then struck Salazzle twice in a row, but the attack was weakened due to the burn.

"Salazzle, quick! Use Dragon Pulse!" Salazzle then fired Dragon Pulse right at Weezing while it was still in range, sending it down to defeat.

"Weezing is unable to battle!" Aya declared.

"Now it's two for Lincoln! Just two more battles, and he'll have his Badge!" Misty exclaimed.

"Alright, now try this on for size! Go, Muk!" Janine said, sending out a Muk.

"Eww, gross!" Milt shuddered at the sight of Muk.

"Muk, use Sludge Bomb!" Janine ordered, as Muk fired off Sludge Bomb.

"Dodge them!" Lincoln called out. Salazzle used its quick movements to evade Sludge Bomb, "Well, if that's how they want to play, then let's hit them with Poison Fang!" Salazzle got close and bit down on Muk with poison coated fangs, causing an explosion, sending Muk skidding back.

"Good move, but Poison Type moves aren't that effective on Poison Type Pokemon. You can't hope to…" Janine cut herself off when she saw that her Muk had been Poisoned, "What?! How did Muk get Poisoned?! That's impossible!"

"Actually, it's quite possible with Salazzle's Corrosion Ability. Even Steel and other Poison Type Pokemon aren't safe from getting Poisoned when battling a Pokemon like Salazzle," Lincoln explained.

"I've heard of the Corrosion Ability, but I've never actually seen it in action before. This certainly is a surprise," Janine commented.

"And we're going to keep pressing the attack! Salazzle, use Fire Lash!" Lincoln called out. Salazzle was about to whip its tail at Muk, when…

"Use Mud Bomb!" Muk fired a Mud Bomb, which stopped the attack and took down Salazzle.

"Salazzle is unable to battle!" Aya declared, as Lincoln recalled Salazzle.

"Good work, Salazzle, your hard work won't be in vain," Lincoln said, as he got out his next Pokeball, "Go, Aizami!" he said, sending out his Venusaur.

"Hoo boy, that's one big flower!" Millie commented.

"A Grass Type in a Poison Type Gym? How intriguing," Janine commented, as Muk was still suffering from the Poison.

"Aizami, quick, use Sunny Day!" Lincoln called out. Aizami fired a ball of light into the sky, which intensified the sunlight.

"What kind of a move is Sunny Day?" Octavia questioned.

"It's a Fire Type move that makes the sunlight harsher. Fire Types use it to increase the power of their own Fire Type Moves, as well as weakening Water Type Moves," Brock explained.

"Alright, now let's use Solar Beam!" Lincoln called out. Aizami began taking in sunlight in its flower, before firing off a power beam at Muk.

"That's right! Sunny Day also allows Solar Beam to be used in one move!" Misty commented.

"So, weather can affect moves other than the ones they're intended for?" Moxxie asked.

"That's right. Normally, Solar Beam takes a while to charge up, which is why Lincoln used Sunny Day to speed up the process. On the other hand, in rainy weather, an Electric Type move called 'Thunder', which normally has terrible accuracy, will always hit its target," Brock explained.

"Use Minimize!" Janine called out. Muk appeared to have shrunk down, just before Solar Beam had hit, "How's that, Lincoln? Minimize allows the user to shrink down and increase its evasiveness," she explained.

"That may be so, by Muk is still carrying the Poison it got from Salazzle! Alright Aizami, lets try and finish them off with Petal Blizzard!" Lincoln called out. Aizami whipped up Petal Blizzard, which sent Muk flying up into the air, before it came careening down.

"Quick Muk, use Fire Punch!" Janine called out. Muk engulfed its fist in flames, and landed a powerful punch to Aizami, just before crashing down. When the dust settled, both Aizami and Muk were down.

"Both Venusaur and Muk are unable to battle!" Aya declared.

"Now they're down to their last Pokemon. It's all on this last match," Brock commented, as both trainers recalled their Pokemon.

"I must say, you're really as crafty a trainer as I've been told," Janine commented.

"And you're one of the toughest Gym Leaders I've faced so far," Lincoln replied.

"But now, its all on this last bout!" Janine said, holding her final Pokeball.

"And I'm not losing here!" Lincoln said, holding his last Pokeball.

"GO, DRAPION/METAGROSS!" the two of them yelled, sending out their last Pokemon. Lincoln sent out Metagross, while Janine sent out a large, purple and black scorpion like Pokemon with long arms and a tail, each with sharp claws at the end. The way its body looked reminded Lincoln of Samurai's Skorupi. He took a moment to scan it.

"Drapion, the Ogre Scorp Pokemon, a Poison and Dark Type first discovered in the Sinnoh Region, and the evolved form of Skorupi. While it boasts a potent poison, it rarely sees use. This Pokemon prefers using brute force instead, going on rampages with its car crushing strength," Dexter explained.

"So, it does evolve from Skorupi. Still, I can't take any chances! I'm going to take this battle to the next level!" Lincoln said, holding up his Mega Ring.

"Ah, a Key Stone! This should be good! Show me the full extent of your power!" Janine said, as Drapion clicked its claws together.

"Well, wait no longer!" Lincoln said, tapping his Key Stone, which began reacting with Metagross' Metagrossite, "Alright Metagross, time to Mega Evolve!" he said, as the beams of energy from both his Key Stone and the Mega Stone connected, and Metagross began to Mega Evolve. It grew a second set of front legs, which became arms, and it grew four smaller legs in the back. Its normally yellow X across its face turned blue, and it grew a long, yellow spike underneath the X, giving it the appearance of a goatee.

"Whoa, that is awesome!" Blitz exclaimed.

"So that's Mega Evolution? It's just like what you told us, V," Milky stated, looking over at Verosika.

"Indeed. But we'll have to see how this one does in battle," Verosika replied.

"Alright, Metagross, use Meteor Mash!" Lincoln called out. Metagross closed in its arms, and rocketed right at Drapion with blinding speeds.

"Whoa, that's fast!" Miu exclaimed.

"Drapion, use Dig!" Janine ordered. Drapion burrowed underground, just as Meteor Mash was about to collide with it.

"Keep an eye out for Drapion, Metagross!" Lincoln called out, as Metagross looked around for Drapion, who emerged from underneath and struck Metagross' underside.

"Don't think that Mega Evolution can help you win a battle against me, Lincoln. We Gym Leaders have strategies in place for just such events. Now then, Drapion, use Fire Fang!" Janine ordered. Drapion cloaked its fangs in flames before going to bite down on Metagross, who got out of the way just in time.

"Alright Metagross! Now circle around and use Bullet Punch!" Lincoln called out. Metagross was quick to maneuver around Drapion, and was going to use Bullet Punch, only for Drapion to swivel its head around, "Wait, what?!" he exclaimed, as Drapion took hold of Metagross.

"Drapion's head can swivel around 180 degrees with ease. It's a Pokemon that has no blind spots! Now then, use Crunch!" Janine ordered.

"Quick, use Flash Cannon and get away!" Lincoln called out. Metagross was faster with attack, blasting Drapion with Flash Cannon.

"Quick, use Sand Tomb!" Janine ordered.

"That won't work on us! Use Magnet Rise!" Lincoln called out. Metagross began emitting the electromagnetism for Magnet Rise, thus avoiding Sand Tomb, "We need to wrap things up here fast! Use Miracle Eye!" Metagross' eyes glowed in an array of rainbow colors.

"What move was that?" Kat asked.

"Miracle Eye. It'll allow Metagross to use Psychic Type Moves on a Dark Type Pokemon like Drapion," Brock explained.

"Alright, now use Psychic!" Lincoln called out. Metagross lifted Drapion up with Psychic, before sending it flying across the battlefield, "Now, strike with Zen Headbutt!" before Drapion could react, Metagross slammed into it with Zen Headbutt, sending Drapion into a wall, completely spent from the battle. Aya went to deliver her final verdict.

"Drapion is unable to battle! The winner is Metagross, and therefore, the victor in this battle is Lincoln Loud!" she proclaimed.

"Alright, we won!" Lincoln exclaimed, just as Metagross reverted to normal. Lincoln went to embrace Metagross, "Thanks Metagross, you were awesome!"

"Alright, Lincoln's won!" Misty exclaimed.

"And that makes his sixth Gym Battle victory, at long last," Brock added.

"That was some smart battling on his part," Coco commented.

"I'll say!" Apple added, as Janine recalled Drapion and approached Lincoln with a tray.

"That was a fantastic battle, Lincoln. You must feel very proud to have come so far," Janine praised.

"Yeah, well, I wouldn't be here if it weren't for my Pokemon," Lincoln replied.

"True. Never forget that this victory is one for both you and your Pokemon. Take that to heart, along with this Soul Badge, and a TM for the move Toxic. Using this move will cause Poison status that gets worse the longer the battle drags on," Janine said, as Lincoln accepted the spoils of his victory.

"Thanks for this, Janine, and for the battle," Lincoln replied, as his friends from the stands came down to congratulate the white-haired boy.

"That's another badge closer to the Indigo League, Lincoln!" Misty stated.

"That's right, and I'm not stopping now. Just two more to go," Lincoln replied.

"So, where's your next challenge, hon?" Millie asked, laying on top of Metagross.

"That… I haven't decided yet," Lincoln admitted sheepishly.

"Well the Gym Leader of the Periwinkle City's Flying Type Gym is still in Hoenn, recruiting help for the battle against Team Rocket. And the ferry to Seafoam Islands only runs once a week. Why not check out the Gyms in either Chartreuse City or in Olive City?" Koga suggested, as he appeared before them in a puff of smoke.

"Hmm, our friend Raigo told us not to bother with Chartreuse City, since the Gym Leader there is supposedly a joke. How far is Olive City?" Lincoln wondered. Brock consulted the Town Map.

"Hmm, from here, we'd have to cut through Chartreuse City anyway if we want to take the shortest path to get there. Both cities are East of here," Brock replied.

"On your way, you might want to swing by Periwinkle City. Even if you can't challenge the gym there right now, there is a special event for Flying Pokemon being held there in a few days that I think you might like being a part of," Koga suggested.

"Well, at least we've got some sort of an itinerary. We'll rest up at the Pokemon Center tonight, and head out tomorrow," Lincoln declared.

"The best of luck in all of your travels," Janine said, as she, Koga, and Aya disappeared in a puff of smoke.

"Well, since we're done here, I guess we just leave," Misty commented, as they all went to leave.

Back at the Pokemon Center, early evening,

Lincoln and company were sitting around the lobby, waiting for his Pokemon to get done healing, "Alright, while Metagross and them are getting healed up, I think it's time to give my family a call," Lincoln declared.

"So, were those two finally able to talk to you?" Verosika asked, sounding concerned. Lincoln paused for a moment, before turning to the High Succubus.

"Yeah, we talked, and they apologized. Of course, with everything they've done to me, I couldn't forgive them right away. I told them that they have show they meant what they said when they apologized, since actions speak louder than words," Lincoln replied.

"Wise words to live by," Josh commented.

"Too true. Plus, now Lori won't try to break any of us up and force me to be with Ronnie Anne. Now then," Lincoln said, as he went over to the Video Phones, and punched in his home phone number. The phone rang and rang, until finally the screen turned on, revealing Lincoln's Mother and sisters, "Hey everyone!" he greeted.

"Hello Lincoln. You seem to be in high spirits," Lisa commented.

"Did you have your Gym Battle? Were you able to win?" Lola asked.

"That I did, Lola," Lincoln replied, showing his badge case, which now housed his Soul Badge.

"Wicked, bro! So that only leaves two more, right?" Luna asked.

"That's right. We've pretty much decided on two gyms when we leave in the morning," Lincoln replied.

"And where might those places be?" Rita asked.

"We're hitting up Chartreuse City first, then we're going to try the Olive City Gym after that," Lincoln replied.

"Any idea what those places specialize in?" Lana asked.

"No idea. I'll gather information once I'm at both locations," Lincoln replied.

"Good on you. So, what all have you been up to in Fuchsia City since your last call?" Luan asked.

"Well, I'm glad you asked. As you all know, I went to the Safari Zone with my friends, as well as my future mothers-in-law, both from the Monster Realm, and Nana's mother, Sephie Deviluke. We did quite a bit of bonding as we toured the zone, checking out all the rare Pokemon that lived there, as well as catching some," Lincoln replied.

"Fascinating! Could you send the data over, so we can see?" Lisa requested.

"Sure. Just give me a moment," Lincoln said, inserting his Pokedex into the slot on the Videophone.

"Data Transferring… Data Transferring… Data Transfer Complete," the computerized voice said.

"Alright, we got the data," Lisa replied, looking over it on her other computer, "My word, you've gotten quite the large number!"

"Yes, well, most of my catches in the Safari Zone included at least twenty Tauros. I used all but the strongest one for Wonder Trading, which explains all of the other Pokemon you see there," Lincoln replied.

"Ok, but about your other catches?" Lynn asked.

"Well, after adding Tauros to my Pokedex, I also caught Shuckle, Gligar, Tropius, Ditto, and a Kangaskhan that was apparently the adopted sister of Pikachu," Lincoln replied, as Lisa scrolled through each one.

"Hard to believe that a kangaroo like Pokemon would adopt another Pokemon as their own," she commented.

"Eh, to each their own. Besides, both she and Pikachu seemed really happy to be reunited after so long. Anyhow, I also attempted to catch a Rhyhorn and a Venomoth, but I failed both times, either because of accidentally catching another Tauros, or getting pelted with a Whirlwind attack," Lincoln replied, as Lisa brought up both Pokemon entries.

"But it says here you managed to catch a Rhyhorn," she replied.

"I caught another Rhyhorn earlier today, along with a Nidorina, but that'll come AFTER I finish telling you about the Safari Zone. Anyhow, when I met up with Kangaskhan, it, along with several others of its kind, had been captured by poachers who were none other than Team Rocket. They wanted to catch a baby Kangaskhan that had gotten separated from its mother, so they could get a higher price for selling them," Lincoln continued.

"Oh dear! And I guess you were in a position that you couldn't escape?" Rita asked, sounding concerned.

"You got that right. I had Metang, Tyrunt, and Cranidos all help out with fighting them off, which led to them evolving into Metagross, Tyrantrum, and Rampardos, respectively," Lincoln explained, as Lisa once again pulled up each entry.

"Aw cool! You have a T-Rex on your side!" Lana exclaimed.

"That's right, and a strong battler too. After we finished in the Safari Zone, I decided to Wonder Trade off all the extra Tauros that I had caught, and got a decent number of Pokemon in return," Lincoln replied, as Lisa readied the other computer.

"Alright, I'll cycle through when you're ready, Lincoln!"

"Ok, in order, I received Nincada, Grubbin, Honedge, Turtonator, Octillery, Salazzle, Mimikyu, Excadrill, Pumpkaboo, which evolved immediately into Gourgeist, Electrike, Darmanitan, Golett, Hippopotas, Crustle, Toxel, Zoroark, Gothorita, Liligant, Hatterene, and the Mythical Pokemon, Meloetta," Lincoln listed off, as Lisa cycled through each one.

"That Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist look like they'd be right at home at Halloween time!" Luna commented.

"And just look at Turtonator! Its shell is super spiky! And that Lilligant, Hatterene and Meloetta, are all gorgeous!" Lola added.

"I like the looks of Pumpkaboo, Gourgeist, Honedge, and Mimikyu," Lucy added.

"Yeah. This round of Wonder Trading got me a lot more Ground, Poison, Bug, Electric, Fire and Ghost Type Pokemon, which I am pleased about," Lincoln replied.

"Hippo! Hippo!" Lily giggled upon seeing Hippopotas.

"That's right, Lily, Hippopotas is the Hippo Pokemon," Lincoln replied.

"You've certainly gotten a wide array of new Pokemon this time around, Lincoln," Rita stated.

"Without question. Anyhow, later that night, I was going for a date with Loona and Gwendolyn, while Blitz tagged along, one, as a chaperone, and two, to discuss the details of the Kovaks getting trained by him, Millie and Moxxie," Lincoln replied.

"Ooh, how fun! How did it all go?" Rita asked.

"For the most part, things went pretty smoothly, apart from some guy riding a Dodrio racing through the streets like he owned the place. We also made our way over to the Big P Pokemon Ranch, which is one of the Nature Reserves around Fuchsia City, where we met one of the Laramie Clan, the owners of the Ranch itself. Soon after, she had gotten injured after trying to reign in some Tauros that were getting a bit wild after her Ponyta got spooked by something that, at that time, we didn't know was Meowth from the X-Rockets. Soon after, she had asked Loona to take her place in a big race that's held every year," Lincoln continued.

"Wait, did they allow her to enter? I mean, she IS a hellhound after all, and not a human," Luna questioned.

"The race organizers allowed it, as did Wolfgang. I entered alongside her with MY Ponyta. Brock and Misty also entered, as did that guy with the Dodrio I mentioned before. For most of the race, the Dodrio racer held the lead thanks to Dodrio's natural speed, but also because of the X-Rocket's cheating ways, either digging pit traps in the middle of the course or trying to stall the other races so Dario could get the win. Fortunately, in the end, his cheating methods were made public, and he was banned from the race for life. It also helped that we got help from the Legendary Pokemon, Entei. Not only that, but both Ponyta evolved into Rapidash," Lincoln explained. Lisa pulled up the entries.

"Ok, that unicorn definitely looks like something out of a fairy tale," Lori commented, seeing the Galarian Rapidash.

"And a Pokemon that causes volcanic eruptions by either being born or barking? What's next?!" Lana questioned.

"Yes, well, after Loona and I won, having tied for first place after Dario's disqualification, I was allowed to catch TWO Pokemon from the Reserve, which is where Rhyhorn and Nidorina come in," Lincoln added.

"Ok, well at least you didn't get into any trouble for catching them," Rita commented, knowing that hunting on ANY wildlife reserve was illegal.

"Nah, if anything, Lara, the girl who asked Loona to race in her stead, and her father gave me the ok to do so. After that, we were escorted to the Fuchsia City Gym, where I took on a Test of Character similar to the one back in Maiden's Peak, which basically meant I was hunting for three different keys inside of a Ninja Castle, which had all kinds of tricks and traps, such as invisible barriers, slanted rooms, etc.," Lincoln continued.

"Whoa, the Fuchsia Gym has ninjas?!" Lana asked, sounding awestruck.

"Yeah, the Gym even looked like a castle from the outside. Anyhow, I found all three keys, and went to battle Janine, the Gym Leader, and four of her Poison Type Pokemon, namely Arbok, Weezing, Muk, and a new one for me, Drapion. I came at her with Scizor, Salazzle, Aizami, and Metagross. It was a bit touch and go, using all four of MY Pokemon's immunity to Poison, as well as Salazzle's Corrosion Ability, but it all eventually boiled down to Mega Metagross' tenacity and speed against Drapion's durability and strength. In the end, Metagross was able to clench victory," Lincoln replied.

"Wicked bro! We'll have to catch your match on the tube to get all the details," Luna commented.

"Yeah, even though me and my friends were there, it would probably take too long to properly explain it," Lincoln replied, looking back to where the others were all sitting around.

"Are those other Monsters friends of yours too?" Lisa asked.

"You could say that. They're Verosika's Posse. I met them when I went to the Monster Realm. They're all every bit as friends as Verosika and the others," Lincoln replied. Just then, the Pokemon Center chime went off.

"Lincoln Loud, your Pokemon have finished healing. Lincoln Loud, your Pokemon have finished healing. Please come and collect them," Nurse Joy's voice said over the intercom.

"Looks like Metagross and them have finished healing up," Lincoln commented, as Misty and the others came over.

"Why don't you go and collect them, Lincoln? We'd like a chance to speak with your family ourselves," Charlie suggested.

"Oh, ok then. Have at it," Lincoln replied, as he got up to go get his Pokemon.

"So, how've you all been since the last we saw you?" Charlie asked.

"We've been just fine, thank you. After the trial, we prepared to move into a larger house thanks to the card your father gave us back at Maiden's Peak, which will make living here a bit easier on us," Rita replied.

"After our old place was deemed to be 'beyond repair', it was a major upgrade for our new lives," Luna added.

"Was the appraisal really that bad?" Lori asked.

"Blitz and them said that renovations to the house would be impossible without tearing it down and rebuilding it from scratch," Luan replied.

"I'm surprised to see you and that other sister of yours here. Has it really been three weeks already?" Octavia asked, still untrusting of Lori and Lynn, which both sisters understood.

"We got let out after a week and a half due to excellent progress with the treatments," Lynn replied, still shaken from the memories of what happened at the Sanitorium.

"Just goes to show how effective the place is," Lincoln stated, returning to the others.

"But you all don't need to worry. I'm not going to try and control Lincoln's life anymore," Lori added.

"I don't know… how can we be sure you're not trying to pull a fast one on us?" Verosika questioned.

"Because I came to realize that forcing Lincoln to be with Ronnie Anne would only make the two of them completely miserable during my time at that horrible sanitorium. It's better to just let Lincoln find his own happiness," Lori replied.

"Well, I still don't trust a word you say, but at least we won't have to hear another word about that matter," Loona commented. Lori knew that words alone wouldn't convince any of them, especially with how she's been acting since meeting them.

"I take it she's one of Lincoln's problem sisters?" Kiki whispered to Miu, as they stood off to the side.

"Her and the one in red. But it looks like they've managed to reform themselves with that asylum they were admitted to," Miu whispered back.

"Still won't do a thing to get us to trust them any easier," Octavia whispered.

"But to move to a more positive subject… Lincoln, do you have an idea on what Pokemon you're going to send over next?" Lisa asked.

"Well, I can honestly say the likes of Leviathan, my Gyarados, Grimlock, my Tyrantrum, and Aerodactyl are all off the table," Lincoln replied.

"Yeah, probably best NOT to send those three over," Rita agreed, thinking that all three of them would cause an uproar around Royal Woods.

"Let me think…," Lincoln said, thinking it over, "I know which ones! Just give me a moment," Lincoln said, accessing his Storage Link, and began selecting twelve Pokemon, "Like last time, I'll only send over twelve, as not to overwhelm you guys."

"That should be more than sufficient," Lisa replied. Lincoln had decided to send both of his Muk, Tyson, Amaura, Rampardos, Gawain, Orion, one of his female Pikachu and Raichu, Rapidash, Konoryu, and Milotic.

"Alright, I've got your next batch of Pokemon ready for you," Lincoln said, as Lori, Luna, and Luan disappeared from the screen, hearing the transporter going off.

"We've got them, Lincoln," Luan replied, showing the Pokeballs.

"Good. Now just remember my rules," Lincoln said.

"They stay only for a week, and no physical experimentations on them. I remember," Lisa rpelied.

"What's this all about?" Apple asked.

"It's a little thing I set up with Lisa and the others. I send them some of the Pokemon that I caught during my travels so that they can get an up-close look at them. It's the same with all the data I've been sending over. It helps keep them up to date on my adventures and what Pokemon I've encountered," Lincoln replied.

"Speaking of, how many Pokemon have you added to your little collection since Maiden's Peak?" Moxxie asked.

"At this moment, Lincoln Loud has registered 117 different species to his Pokedex, including evolutions from early stage Pokemon," Dexter stated.

"117?! That's insane!" Lola exclaimed.

"Even with evolved Pokemon!" Lana added.

"And it also helps that the Battle Chateau I've told you guys about is a great place to train up Pokemon," Lincoln stated nonchalantly.

"By the way, Linkey, if our classes at school were to have a show and tell…"

"It's alright, Lola, you have my permission to bring my Pokemon to school. Just make sure to always keep their Pokeballs on hand," Lincoln replied.

"One more thing before we hang up this call until your next Gym Battle, Lincoln… we got a call from Leni here yesterday, but she seemed a bit… distant and off, saying something about 'milk' or 'Miltank'… Is there something you know that might be the matter?" Rita asked, sounding concerned. Lincoln's face brightened in a blush, which made his family suspicious, "Lincoln… is there something you know?"

"W-Well, there might've been ONE thing that was brought up during my date with Carlota, Stella, Haiku, Girl Jordan, Midori and Amber…"

"It's alright sweetie. We're not going to be mad; we just want to make sure that everything is alright," Rita stated, her tone sounding even and reassuring.

"Ok, so it's like this," Lincoln proceeded to explained what Amber and Midori had told him and the others about Miltank Syndrome. His mother and sisters, needless to say, were all completely baffled and speechless, as were his friends and fiancés from the Monster Realm.

"Y-Y-Y-You're saying… that the women in the different Pokemon Regions… like that hot cavewoman Gym Leader from Porta Vista… all have huge tits because… they produce milk even WITHOUT HAVING BABIES?!" Luna exclaimed, stammering between each thought.

"Y-Yeah… Midori and Amber said it has something to do with how much nutritional value the food here has compared to places like America and the like," Lincoln replied.

"So these Amber and Midori girls… do you plan to milk them sometime like you did me?" Milt asked absentmindedly. Lori had a great big smile on her face that indicated that she was about to go insane.

"Y-You milked Milt… Ha.. ha.. ha…, you milked Milt?!" she asked in between laughs.

"That's right, and he was super gentle to me, and helped me get more milk than I normally would out," Milt replied, once again absentmindedly.

"I thought you two were up to something back in Stone Town… but I honestly thought you were sucking face," Loona commented. Lori then burst out laughing like Woody Woodpecker, spazzing out on the floor, prompting the Lynn, Lucy, and the twins to tackle her and hold her down.

"I think we should end this call here and now. I need time to process this," Rita commented, sounding like she was going to go just as completely crazy Lori.

"Perfectly understandable. I'll call once we've made it to Chartreuse City," Lincoln replied, as he hung up, before slumping in the chair he was at, "Ok, that was at least 36 different types of awkward."

"I'll say it was. I didn't even think humans COULD make that much milk on their own!" Blitz exclaimed, only to get decked by Miu.

"Makes me wonder if the food here has a similar effect on men," Jazz commented, causing her succubus friends to giggle mischievously.

"We might want to get back home before these girls get too many ideas," Vaggie suggested, blushing at what they were suggesting.

"I understand. It was still great seeing all of you again," Lincoln said, as he opened the portal to the Monster Realm.

"Likewise, hon. You and your friends take care now, hear?" Millie said, as she and the others passed through the portal, with Miu dragging Blitz through by his ankle. Once they were all through, Lincoln closed the portal.

"Apart from all the awkwardness of telling them about Miltank Syndrome, I'd say that call went by rather smoothly," Lincoln commented.

"Yeah, we did kind of expect your family to react that way. Most people outside of regions like Kanto tend to react in a similar way," Misty replied.

"Well, I've got to make a call to Professor Oak right quick. Hopefully I can catch him before he's getting ready for bed," Lincoln replied, as he punched in the professor's number.

"You do that, Lincoln. We're going to head on back to bed," Brock said, as he and Misty left the lone Loud son to make his call.

Meanwhile, back at the Reynolds House,

After managing to calm Lori down enough, Rita and her daughters, in an attempt to try and move on from the revelation of Miltank Syndrome and what effects it has on a woman's body, went outside to check out the Pokemon Lincoln had sent over, "Alright girls, lets see who Lincoln's sent over this time," she said, as they all tossed the Pokeballs into the air, allowing the Pokemon inside to materialize.

"Oh, cool!" Lana exclaimed, taking an immediate liking to both of Lincoln's Muk.

"Milotic is even prettier up close!" Lola stated, in awe of Milotic's beauty.

"As I said before, Rapidash looks just like a unicorn from a fairy tale," Lori commented, seeing how majestic Rapidash was.

"So a notch and rounded tip on the tails indicates a Pikachu or Raichu is a female," Lisa mused, seeing one of the Pikachu and Raichu Lincoln had sent over, "At least this way, I can do a more efficient study on Pikachu."

"And aren't you just precious?" Rita mused, seeing Amaura, who nuzzled close to Rita, causing her to shiver, "Brr! And you're cold too!"

"I never thought I'd ever get to see a full size dragon up close like this," Luan commented, as she and Luna stood before Tyson.

"You might just be my favorite of the bunch," Lucy said to Orion, who simple cackled wholeheartedly.

"We should get Uncle Lance and the others over to check these guys out!" Luan suggested.

"Sounds like a plan," Rita replied, as she pulled out her phone to make the call. Unbeknownst to them, a spy drone was secretly watching them from a nearby tree.

"So, that brat sends some of his Pokemon over so his family can get a closer look, eh?" Petrel commented, watching the live feed from the drone.

"Should we strike now and try to take the Pokemon now?"

"No. Even without their trainer, those Pokemon are still well trained, and would cream us instantly. Let's wait until they send them back so that the family is defenseless," Petrel replied.

Meanwhile, on an island lab somewhere off the coast of Kanto,

Giovanni was being escorted through a lab by a man in a lab coat. Everything in the lab looked state of the art, one would think they were in some sort of hyper advanced space station, "Rest assured, sir, your money and resources have been well spent in our experiments," the scientist said with pride.

"It had better, Dr. Fuji. I've invested a lot into the creation of Team Rocket's latest weapon," Giovanni stated.

"Not to worry, Giovanni, sir. Thanks to the money and additional scientists you've given to us, the cloning project is nearing the final stages. We only just inserted the Alpha Wave Control Chip into the subject's brain. All that's left to do is wait for it to awaken," Dr. Fuji replied, as they entered the main lab, where several scientists were working tirelessly on their experiments. Giovanni's attention was fixed on a large glass tube at the end of the lab. Inside it was some kind of strange, grey feline creature that almost looked human sized, suspended in an odd orange fluid, "For years, we've dreamed of creating the world's strongest Pokemon, and with our find in South America, we're closer than ever to succeeding!"

"I am most pleased with your progress, Dr. Fuji. How much longer until it awakens?" Giovanni asked.

"We're preparing all manner of safety measures to ensure that it doesn't run wild. They're mostly just to buy us enough time to activate the chip inside of its brain. Once they're all completed, then we'll begin the awakening procedures, and then, Mew's offspring will be all yours," Dr. Fuji replied.

"Good. But do you have a name for this creature?" Giovanni asked.

"After some deliberation, we have decided to christen the offspring of Mew as 'Mewtwo'," Dr. Fuji replied. While the two men were talking, no one there saw Mewtwo's eyes opening, if ever only slightly.

Author's Note: Just to clarify, between Chartreuse City and Olive City, only the Chartreuse City Gym will be Lincoln's next guaranteed Gym Battle, followed soon after by Saffron City. But before Chartreuse City, I'll be writing chapters for the following episodes to act as filler:

Wake Up, Snorlax!

Ditto's Mystery Mansion

Showdown at Dark City

Holy Matrimony

And you can probably guess that Cyan City is going to be a stop for them as well. And let me know what city you'd like for Lincoln to go and try and earn his third Contest Ribbon at!

And regarding Misty' own Pokemon Egg, I'll probably have it hatch during one of these aforementioned chapters.
