Jack was out in the desert with Arcee on an afternoon stroll. They decided to stop on a small hill so they could see the sunset. It took about a minute for the sun to get where they were.

"Wow, it's beautiful," Arcee said, showing nothing but contempt on her face.

Jack wasn't paying much attention to the sunset but looking at his guardian. He wouldn't say it out aloud but he had feelings for Arcee. He found it a bit odd but that didn't stop him from liking her.

"Yeah, beautiful," Jack said.

Arcee slightly glanced at Jack to see what he was looking at and when she saw it was her, he was looking at, she turned away with a smile on her face.

"I was talking about the sun Jack." Arcee said in a mocking tone.

Jack slightly blushed as he looked away. He looked back at Arcee and took a moment to think. He knew he would never have a better chance than right now to tell her about his feelings.

"Arcee." Jack called out for her.

"Yes Jack." Arcee replied.

"I...I want to tell you something."

"Okay, what do you want to tell me?" Arcee asked as she turned to look at her partner.

Arcee had feelings for Jack ever since that day when they were in the forest and Airachnid tried to kill Jack. Ever since then she had always wanted to keep Jack by her side and make sure he is safe.

"Well,...I-I just wanted to say that..." Jack began but before he could confess his feelings, a beep coming from Arcee's com-link interrupted him. Realising that it's a call to Arcee, he stayed quiet.

Arcee growled at herself then looked at Jack.

"Sorry but this might be important." She told him.

Jack nodded understanding that. Arcee then answered the call.

"What is it Ratchet." Arcee asked with a hint of anger in her voice.

"Well sorry if I interrupted you on something, but we right now need you back at base." Ratchet spoke.

Arcee grumbled in frustration but didn't have another choice.

"Okay. Send a ground bridge at my coordinates." Arcee told him.

"Sure." With that Ratchet ended the call.

"Duty calls?" Jack inquired as he crossed his arms.

"Yeah." Arcee said as she transformed into her alt form "come on Jack we need to go."

Jack got up and dusted his pants.

"Okay I guess." he said as he got on her and they waited for the ground bridge.

After a few seconds a ground bridge opened in front of them and they went inside it, reaching their base. At the Autobot base, all the bots were gathered in the main room. Miko and Raf were also there. They were standing in the human living area. The bots looked serious about something.

Jack got off Arcee as she transformed to her bipedal form and he made his way over to the human living area of the base.

"What happened, Optimus?" Arcee asked.

"We are receiving a signal from an Autobot Spaceship. But I am not too sure if it actually belongs to an Autobot or Decepticons are on that ship." Optimus told her as he was observing the computer screen.

"Well there's a slight possibility of it having Decepticons. I mean I came here on a Decepticon escape pod, so it's not impossible." Smokescreen said.

"Okay, so what's the current situation?" Jack suddenly asked.

"I am trying to make contact with the ship. Let's just hope that whoever is on the ship is an Autobot." Ratchet said as he was working on the computer.

After a while they managed to make contact with the Ship.

"I am Optimus Prime. The leader of Autobots. Identify yourself." Optimus ordered through the contact.

"Optimus? Is that really you? It's Ultra magnus." A Bot, identifying himself as Ultra magnus, replied.

"Ultra magnus! It is great to know that you're alive." Optimus said.

"I also have some other bots with me. We would like to meet up with you."

"Ultra magnus, as much as I would like that to happen, we need to keep our base secret from our enemies. For that, we can't give you the coordinates of the base at this moment."

"I understand sir. Maybe you can send a ground bridge for us after we land in some safe location."

"That we can do. In Fact I have a good location for them to land." Ratchet told them.

"Very well Ratchet. Ultra magnus, I am sending you some coordinates. We will meet there."

"Copy that. I will be looking forward to this meeting optimus."

And with that the contact was disconnected.

"Finally, we are gonna meet some new guys!" Smokescreen excitedly said.

Bumblebee beeped at him, probably telling him to calm down.

"Smokescreen, Arcee, you two are staying at the base. Arcee, you're in charge of the ground bridge. Ratchet, Bumblebee, Bulkhead, you all are coming with me."

The team agreed on it and soon Optimus left with the selected bots. Smokescreen tried to flirt with Arcee, but it didn't work out so he retired to watching Miko and Raf playing a video game. As for Jack he was chatting with Arcee. After half an hour Optimus contacted the base, requesting for a ground bridge. Arcee quickly opened it and Optimus stepped through it followed by the rest of the team Prime and some other new bots. Among them was a big bot with light blue armour, who was almost as tall as Optimus himself. A bulky not with black armour who by his appearance could be recognised as a Wrecker. Another bot with red armour who was around the same size as Bumblebee. And finally a bot with blue and white armour and horns on his head came out of the portal as it closed behind him. Arcee gasped as she saw the final bot enter the base.

"Tailgate." She gasped.

This caught the bots' attention and he looked at Arcee. His optics went wide as he recognised her.

"Arcee!" Tailgate exclaimed in joy.

Arcee ran towards him and embraced him in a tight hug as he wrapped his arms around her and lifted her off the floor as she was looking at him in the optics. Both of them were smiling. Jack looked at them with shock. As Tailgate was holding Arcee while she seemed happy and looked at Tailgate with a face she never gave to Jack making him feel sad. Although it went unnoticed by everyone at the base.

"I thought you were offlined." Arcee said.

"Well I would have if a group of scavenging Neutrals didn't find me and patched me up. I was with them for a long while until Ultra Magnus found me." Tailgate told her.

After the hug was over and Arcee was put down, the new bots began introducing themselves.

The big blue bot was Ultra magnus. He used to be Optimus's second in command on Cybertron. The Wrecker with black armour was Ironhide. The red bot was Sideswipe and Tailgate was already introduced by Arcee. After that Optimus introduced the humans to the new bots. After the introduction Arcee had dragged Tailgate over to the human living area.

"Here I want you to meet someone." Arcee cheerfully told Tailgate and then she called for Jack.

As Jack approached them Arcee began talking to him.

"Jack, this is Tailgate." She told him, gesturing to the bot standing behind her.

Tailgate waved at Jack and he returned the gesture with a smile.

"Tailgate, this is my new partner Jack." Arcee told Tailgate.

"Woah. You must have some potential packed in there if you have managed to become Arcee's partner." Tailgate said with a chuckle.

Jack just rubbed the back of his neck as Arcee confirmed that he did.

"Uhh thanks. Arcee told me a lot about you. I always wanted to see what you looked like and I have to admit you're cool looking." Jack said.

Tailgate smiled and said,"Thanks I always knew I was awesome."

With that he came up to Arcee and picked her up and she laughed "Stop it, put me down right now!"

Seeing the entire thing, Jack frowned. Neither Arcee nor Tailgate noticed it as Jack sighed with a heavy heart. Just then his phone rang. He took it out and saw that it was his mom calling him. He received the call.

"Hey mom. Yeah I am fine. I am at the base with Arcee. What!? Now? Okay." Jack finished the call with a sigh.

"Well it's nice meeting you Tailgate but I need to get home now. My mom is calling me for some stuff. so I gotta go." he turned to Arcee "Hey Arcee, can you give me a ride?"

"Uhh, sorry Jack but can you please ask Ratchet to ground bridge you? I and Tailgate have some catching up to do." Arcee politely told Jack.

"It's okay! Really. I understand." Jack said, smiling as he tried not to show how saddened he was.

Jack then went over to Ratchet and asked him for a ground bridge. To which the grumpy medic quickly agreed to and opened it for him.

Arcee gave a sad face look to Jack as she felt bad for what she said to him.

"Be careful Jack." Arcee called out after him.

Jack stopped to look at her and gave her a smile.

"Okay Arcee I'll see you guys soon." Jack told them and with that he went through the portal and disappeared.

Jack appeared at his house garage and went into the living room where his mother was waiting for him. That night before going to sleep Jack checked his garage to see if Arcee had returned, but was disappointed when he saw she wasn't there. Letting out a sigh, he went to his bedroom and collapsed on the bed.

"It's nothing. She and Tailgate have been partners for a long time, so it's normal for her to stay by his side for some time. She won't forget about me." Jack thought as he fell asleep.
