Exert: ok where the heck do i begin with this? I know a lot of you are gonna be skeptical and wonder why this story is popping up on another account that has a similar name to this the author of said story
Well to put it as blunt as possible, it's because I AM that same author, I unfortunately had the rotten luck of getting randomly logged out of my original account and have long forgotten the method of how I logged it in
The circumstances has disheartened me to a degree cause I already put so much into that platform but it was also my fault for long neglecting the personal information needed to properly channel through getting my story old account active again, so unfortunately it is now in limbo
On top of that the accidental creation of this sister account in my arduous effort to remember my stuff
I don't want to fight an annoying battle of trying to remember things in order to get back to established ground, so I've decided to just move all my stories to the new sister account, please bear with me on this as I'm simply frustrated over this situation but it will not deter me from keeping my stories from sitting and rotting
I want to point this out before I get any call outs of being fake or anything else
Thanks for understanding

Chapter 1: Rebirth
It was a sunny afternoon, the sun high in the sky shining its evericent rays upon the Earth, it was a peaceful day. Well, peaceful for many save for a certain old vampire at least. If one were to look past the veil of normalcy in the city of London, England, they would stumble upon a world, a moonlight world kept a closely guarded secret to those who lived, thrived, but most indefinitely, died.
This was the world of the magus. Men and women who over the ages have tried to maintain or recreate the mysteries of bygone times, in a modern age where advances in technology, science and the innovation of man to discover and record.
Of course such a world was not without its organizations, one of which was known as the Clocktower, the headquarters of the bigger Mage's association, as well as a place where the most ambitious mages go to learn and study their craft.
Within the Clocktower, sitting idle at his office was an old man, but not a typical old man in the slightest, he wasn't even your typical magus. His name was Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg.
Zelretch was the Wizard Marshal of the Mages Association, Old Man of the Jewels, Old Man Time and third of the twenty-seven recognized Dead Apostle Ancestors, though there is a version of him that gained immortality another way. Regardless, the other most significant thing about Zelretch was the fact that he was one of five users of the True Magic, his being the Second Magic known as Kaleidoscope. As the wielder, he was able to peer into various timelines, travel between them and even govern their outcomes if he saw fit, in fact Zelretch was also recognized as being the world's biggest joker.
At the current time however he wasn't exactly in a joking mood, if anything he was tense at his own desk, hands folded into each other each touching below his gray bearded chin and with his elbows upon the flat of the frame. Upon his face was a look of great concern and deep thought, taking a glance to his right he called out to someone, or rather something.
"Ruby? Feel anything abnormal?" He asked. "Any effects to your flight, or your ability to siphon mana?"
Hovering next to him was a red wand with a yellow star tip at the end with pink rim encirclement. It was one Zelrtch's handcrafted sentient mystic codes named Kaleidostick Ruby, and it spoke back to its creator.
"Nothing unusual thus far." Ruby replied, its voice staunchly female. "Don't be such a worrywart boss, my lovely sis and I still could intake mana from across all timelines nicely, you've overthinking the situation too much old man" says Ruby nonchalantly, flapping one of her wings in chipper manner while hovering around the dimension hopper.
"Overthinking?" Zelretch responded indignantly. "Ruby my dear I don't think you understand the gravity of the entire situation at the moment."
It was abundantly clear to Ruby that Zelretch was not too keen to think lightly of the situation he had mentioned, so in retrospect she decided to hold a discussion regarding it.
"How much have you managed to figure out about the erratic mana behavior?" Ruby asked. "Why is it building like this into a dense sphere in the upper atmosphere?"
Zelretch sat back as he tried to think, he went over every report from the past year that he could read through that research mages ended up dying to create trying to study what they can of the damn thing, he even enlisted the aid of his other True Magic colleagues as extra assurance.
Nonetheless he was getting more and more disturbed by the day. When the world's mana began to act completely out of control a year prior it caused disaster amongst the moonlight world. Every mage found that they could not perform their magecraft properly, if not at all. Worst of all there were dozens to hundreds of magecraft related accidents that resulted in death, or horrible injuries whether dismemberment, charred burns from literal backfires, to outright incineration, even cases sprang up that caught civilians in the process that had to covered up quickly as freak accidents like gas leak explosions.
Not even the Clocktower with all of its safety measures prevented its students, staff and others from meeting cruel fates. It may have been a common saying for every mage that, 'to be a magus is to walk with death,' but what has been happening in recent memory has proven far too much. Now countless mages the world over are in a massive uproar, plus total panic, the pressure placed on the Clocktower especially by the churches and other agencies put them in a tight position. All the while this was happening the mana all began to pool upwards into the atmosphere and converge into a barely visible sphere that would not be noticed unless you had a keen detailed sight on the distortion of the space it inhabited.
"Zelretch!"
The Wizard Marshal was knocked out of stupor by Ruby who was impatient for an answer, which he began to provide.
"Apologies Ruby, and I don't know what could even be causing this in the first place, every attempt to track the origin of this has proven frustrating, and ultimately fruitless."
"Surely there is something out there responsible for this." Ruby said. "Have you looked through every possible option?"
Zelretch slumped his head, this was giving him a headache, and that said a lot for someone like him.
"You have no idea." Zelretch groaned." I cataloged every viable threat that could be responsible, the Umbral Star, an Alien God, a rogue Alaya, that damnable ORT sitting about in its Crystal Valley in South America! Nothing!"
The rant was cut off when Zelretch's door opened up immediately and a tired man with long black hair and a serious expression walked through.
"Agh Waver you're a sight for sore old eyes, if you think you can just barge in like that surely it must be important, please be some kind of good news." Zelretch pleaded
The man named Waver pinched the bridge of his nose before speaking with utmost professionalism. "For the last sir, call me Lord El Melloi II. Unfortunately despite your wishes this is not good news, this is the latest report coming in from none other than Chaldea."
Zelretch with swift quickness that startled Lord El Melloi, grabbed the sheet of paper before skimming through its contents. He then dropped the papers with an exasperated sigh putting his face to his palms.
"Whatever is causing this…..it's even surpassing the might of Gaia's will."
Lord El Melloi looked on at the tired Wizard Marshal, he never once thought in his life that THE Zelretch of all beings would look so defeated.
"Sir if I may, the Moon Princess would certainly do something about it." El Melloi said, trying to give some manner of hope.
"Waver." Zelretch said not bothering to use the man's title. "I've kept this on the low, especially from more mouthy types in the upper staff of Clocktower, but I trust you enough."
This only made El Melloi look on with confusion and concern.
"Not even Arcueid has been able to do much about it, with the year half mark when Gaia woke her to deal with the problem when it could not on it's own, she's tried every method available shy of an event storage, which even she could see as only a delay tactic at best now, and in the moments she did succeed in stopping it and dispersing the mana, it just came back."
This made El Melloi's eyes go wide. Something that both Gaia and its Archetype can't handle?
"Aren't there two of them sir, the sister perhaps?" El Melloi asked, wanting to see some kind of silver lining.
This only got Zelretch to bust out laughing like a motherfucker, he was practically in tears.
"Ahaha! Waver, you managed to make me laugh when I needed it the most. But I'm gonna tell you now, don't expect any backup help from Altrouge, the most she does is sit in her black castle feeding Primate Murder and lamenting her daddy issues, plus her hatred for her sister."
"Then there is no way of stopping whatever will come." El Melloi said gravely.
"Now now I-"
Zelretch was cut off when he felt a strange surge. Sweat beaded down his face as he hopped out of his chair and opened a portal, but it wasn't stable in slightest as it began to distort and reshape in small degrees. and was about to collapse in moments. Acting quickly Zelretch jumped through just as it closed up behind him, the resulting dispersed energy sent El Melloi who tried to call for the Wizard Marshal m, back first into the wall.
As Zelretch stepped out of the exit portal, he found himself in one of his chambers, this one containing countless orbs, each showcasing a different timelines and lostbelts. With each of them they all shared one thing in common, all of them were having the same mana anomaly.
"By the Root of Akasha…."
Like a light show, Zelretch witnessed every sphere explode outward in immense fashion.
"Well……things certainly are gonna be interesting." Zelretch said, trying to process what he was seeing.
The immense power of the mana dispersion through countless timelines gave enough power to punch through the textures of reality like a bunker buster bomb through concrete layers, it even reached a specific realm of existence.
The Reverse side of the World, a realm mirroring the real world, where mystery was alive and well, untouched by human hands, where mythical beings continue to live and thrive long after the Age of Gods has effectively ended.
Within this realm was a sleeping goddess, one of pink bubblegum hair a revealing outfit, and most particularly of all, nine golden shining fox tails and a pair of fluffy fox ears.
As this goddess lay in quiet slumber she was violently awakened when a tear in the fabric of reality opened up before her and began to pull her in, she tried desperately to escape its grip but regardless of her immense power she lost and was pulled through along with whatever else would follow.
As the goddess was flung through an unknown vortex that tore through the barrier of space time, an endless stream of multiple colors and shades flashing about that would give a human a seizure, she found herself being encircled by two glowing spheres that soon flew to and absorbed into her.
Not long after she began to glow bright and her form began to shrink, more and more, to top it off countless memories began to flood her mind like a tsunami of various facets of herself, but for some reason with two extra. Finally a brightness engulfed her.
Darkness.
Pure unimaginable darkness.
That was what all she could see the moment she opened her eyes, it began to freak her out, she even went as far as to emit her light in hopes to see her surroundings but even then it still didn't show anything but her own self, and it didn't seem like she was standing on solid ground either, more like she was just….floating?
"Helloooo!!" She called out.
Just from that call out the goddess noticed she had a younger voice, what was going on?
Her thoughts were interrupted when she began to feel an intense existential dread wash over her, hitting her harder than a bullet to the head. Wherever she was, she was definitely NOT supposed to be here.
Curling up into a fetal position she began to cry silently, she was lost, confused, and most of all, alone. But just as hope seemed to be lost, once again she got caught quickly into a brightness.
It was yet another ordinary day in the Kanagawa Prefecture of Japan, a car was parked by a woodland park area, its vacant occupants currently out enjoying the air.
One was a woman of great beauty and youth, with brown hair going down to her mid back and a white dress with a blue overcoat, a white sun hat adorned her head.
This was Shiina Kamijou, and she was accompanied by her five year old son named Touma Kamijou. Now the youth was not extraordinary looking, he was an average boy with mop black hair, a blue shirt, white shorts and red and white sneakers.
The most significant thing about the boy's appearance was the many scrapes, bruises and bandages the boy possesses. If there was one thing to describe Touma it was…..unlucky.
The young Kamijou was running around when he tripped up and landed hard on the ground, slowly he got up and it was revealed that his nose was bleeding a bit.
"Touma dear!" Shiina cried as she ran to her son.
"Ow….I'm ok mom." Touma shrugged off.
"Ok my butt mister! You're hurt now so stay still."
Shiina pulled out a handkerchief and put it up against Touma's nose causing him to wince at the pain as his mother tried to keep him still.
Sighing, Shiina told Touma to stay put while she went to the car to get a kit for him. As Shiina left for the car, Touma's attention was immediately directed behind him. A rumbling sound was being heard as a bright light came out of nowhere into the nearby tree lining and brush, nearly blinding the young child had he not put his arms up for shielding in time.
Once the brightness had died down, he looked over in the direction of the event. He was scared, but also rather curious of what that was. He was tempted to go inform his mother when he heard a cry.
"WHAT IS GOING ON!!? I CANNOT BE A WIFE IF I'M LIKE THIS!! HOW DID THIS HAPPEN!!!"
It was a girl! Touma immediately dashed to the tree lining and after pushing through a few shrubs stumbled upon a very pretty girl around his age. He looked on at her with wonder, and shock following not long after, he took notice of the girl's rather, foxy features.
For the girl, she had just woken up, confused and scared, wondering what had happened to her and how she ended up a child, upon wailing of her conundrum she realized that she felt completely alive and of a mess of memories from various ventures that previous versions of her had undertaken, and that the world she found herself in was teaming with mana like the Age of Gods. Most alarming was the lack of Gaia, it was non-existent.
Having deduced this, she now saw just how alone she was and curled up calling for help, for company in a soft manner.
It was then when this moment came about, the boy that appeared startled her and she tried to summon her mirror thinking it was some attacker, she couldn't to her alarm, it seemed whatever had happened to her had weakened her significantly by large margins, she ultimately accepted her fate till she saw this plain, bruised, yet admittedly cute boy appear.
Said boy fidgets a bit as he tries to find the words to say, at last he found his voice.
"I…I heard you scream, are you ok?"
The pinkette slowly nodded. Touma then took a moment to sigh in relief but his curiosity and wonder never left.
"That's good." He said still nervous. "My name is Touma Kamijou….can I…know yours?"
The pink foxy girl was still staring blankly at Touma, but not without reason. She could sense mana and energy, but this boy, she saw….absolutely nothing, it was like a void, it scared her for one reason or another.
"Excuse me…"
She snapped out of it upon hearing the boy's voice. She did hear his question so the least she could do was answer since she spaced out technically.
"Tamamo no Mae." Tamamo quickly replied.
Touma smiled slightly and walked over to her slowly before sitting down next to her. As Tamamo got a better look at him, noticing the banged up state he was in, she was concerned for his health.
"It's nice to meet you Tamamo, I'm glad you're not hurt." Touma said kindly.
Tamamo blinks at the boys forthcoming kindness; she thought he would be frightened of her.
"Thank you…but you're hurt…all over." Tamamo responded.
"Oh, yeah that's nothing new to me honestly." Touma said. He may have shrugged it off but Tamamo's read him like a book, it bothered him. Greatly. She would not pry too far though.
"Hey Tamamo?" Touma called her.
She tilted her head curiously wondering what he wanted.
"You're ears and tail….are they real?" The boy asked.
Tamamo didn't respond, instead she swished her tail gently to him. His eyes brightened like it was Christmas morning. He reached with his right hand and upon contact a glass shattering noise rang out.
Tamamo felt herself becoming even weaker and backed away from the boy quickly, laboring breaths being taken as she tried to figure out what suppressed her mana.
Touma looked down dejected, feeling like he had somehow harmed her.
"I'm sorry…I didn't mean to hurt you."
Tamamo felt bad, she saw that he meant no harm, whatever had happened she put to the back of her mind and crawled back to him, once more presenting him her tail.
"Are….Are you sure?" Touma asked hesitantly.
Tamamo gave him a silent nod, bracing herself. Once more Touma smiled and reached for her tail, the same affect happened but she didn't move finding the Will to relax into it, once she did she began to appreciate how gentle he was to her.
"Where did you come from Touma?" Tamamo asked.
"I'm with my mom at a nearby park. But what are you doing here Tamamo?" Touma asked back.
Tamamo looked down, she didn't know anything.
"I….I don't know."
Touma gave her a sympathetic look. Then he got an idea.
"Maybe my mom can help!"
Upon saying that they both heard the voice of a woman, of Shiina.
"Touma sweetheart, where are you!?"
Touma stood up immediately and offered his hand to Tamamo's.
"Well Tamamo?"
Tamamo thought for a moment, it was better than being lost, that was for sure. Having made up her mind she shapeshifted her fox features from sight to Touma surprise and took his hand.
"Lead the way!" She beamed.
Shiina was in a panic, she left to get a med kit for her son and he disappeared the moment she came back, she was close to calling the police when she heard a rustling in the nearby brush, and out came Touma.
"Oh sweetie!!" Shiina cried as she ran to her son, she stopped as soon as she saw that he was not alone. But had someone holding his hand. "Touma?…..Oh my who's this pretty girl! Your blue yukata is lovely!"
"Her name is Tamamo Mom. She needs help." Touma said
"Oh you poor poor dear!" Where are your parents?"
Tamamo shook her head. "I don't have any."
Shiina was horrified to hear that, someone so young and pretty all alone out here.
"Ok Tamano, how would you like to come back to our home?" Shiina offered.
Tamamo formally bowed and responded. "Please take good care of me, Miss Kamijou."
"Oh dear Touma, you found a polite one! We'll come along to the car now you two."
Once everyone was seated Shiina started the car and the radio came on with a broadcast.
"And in further news reports around the world of strange rumblings and flashes have been witnessed in almost every region across the planet, officials and researchers have yet to identify or explain this sudden event…"
XXX
As the car drove along it was the mark to the beginning of a harrowing journey and beautiful relationship.
Meanwhile far from Kanagawa, in a certain secular self sustaining city state, a certain director general grinned at some interesting turns of events.
