The Female Titan

The air was thick with the acrid stench of blood and sweat, mingling with the overwhelming fear that had settled over the Battle of Trost. The sun hung low in the sky, casting long, eerie shadows across the battlefield, where the once-proud city now lay in ruins. Broken buildings stood like grim sentinels amidst the chaos, their walls stained with the evidence of humanity's desperate struggle against the Titans.

Mikasa Ackerman, her face smeared with grime and her heart pounding in her chest, stood atop a crumbling rooftop. Her sharp, discerning eyes scanned the scene below, taking in the gruesome spectacle of Titans rampaging through the streets. Her omnidirectional mobility gear hissed softly, ready to propel her into action at a moment's notice.

Suddenly, her gaze was drawn to an extraordinary sight. Amidst the writhing mass of Titans, one of the monstrous beings began to convulse violently. Its body twisted and writhed in an almost unnatural manner, its flesh bubbling and contorting. Mikasa's breath caught in her throat as she watched, her instincts screaming at her to be wary of this unexpected development.

From within the Titan's body, a figure began to emerge, tearing through the grotesque flesh with an almost surgical precision. The Titan's skin peeled back like a cocoon, revealing another Titan from within. It was probably fourteen meters tall. But this was no ordinary Titan.

This one possessed a sleek, feminine form, distinctly different from the brutish, mindless creatures that surrounded it. It had a feminine face. It also had clear signs of breasts without nipples, a lean body with wide hips and an athletic built, with long, powerful limbs and an almost graceful posture. Its black hair fell in wild, flowing strands around its shoulders.

The Titan's eyes were the most striking feature of all. They glowed with an intense, otherworldly jade light, seeming to pierce through the very fabric of reality itself. There was a rage in those eyes, a sharpness that was entirely unlike the vacant, soulless gazes of the other Titans.

The Titan roared as it tore itself free from the larger Titan it had emerged from.

Mikasa froze. The roar was so powerful that nearby windows shattered, sending shards of glass raining down. She instinctively covered her ears, the sheer force of the sound threatening to overwhelm her.

All the Titans and the Scouts were momentarily stunned, frozen in place by the deafening roar. Then, as if drawn by some irresistible force, the Titans began to sprint toward the feminine-looking Titan.

The Scouts were dumbfounded. But they quickly regained their composure and began to converge on the source of the roar.

Mikasa's hand tightened around the hilt of her blade, her mind racing. Who—or what—was this new Titan? She had never seen anything like it. As she prepared to launch herself at the creature, a shout from below caught her attention.

"Mikasa! What's happening up there?" Sasha called out, her voice tinged with a mixture of fear and curiosity. She stood on the ground, her face upturned toward Mikasa, eyes wide with alarm.

"I don't know," Mikasa replied, her voice steady despite the turmoil within her. "But I'm going to kill it."

With a swift, practiced motion, she propelled herself toward the feminine Titan, her blades gleaming in the fading light. As she closed the distance, the Titan suddenly sprang into action. With a fluidity that belied its massive size, it moved through the throng of Titans, its movements a deadly dance of precision and power.

Connie Springer, Sasha Blouse, and Mikasa stood on a rooftop, eyes wide with a mixture of hope and dread as they observed the new Titan engaging the horde."What the hell is that?" Connie shouted over the cacophony, his voice tinged with a mix of fear and curiosity. The Titan moved with grace and precision, its lean, muscular form a blur as it fought off the advancing Titans.

The glowing-eyed Titan lashed out with blinding speed, its fists smashing into the heads of its kin with bone-crushing force. Each strike was delivered with purpose, aimed at the weak points that Mikasa herself had been trained to target. The other Titans fell one by one, their grotesque bodies crumpling under the relentless onslaught.

Mikasa hovered nearby, her eyes wide with astonishment. She had seen many things on the battlefield, but nothing like this. The feminine Titan was a force of nature, cutting through the horde with a brutal efficiency that was both terrifying and awe-inspiring.

With an uncanny mastery of hand-to-hand combat, the Titan executed powerful strikes and precise grapples, throwing its enemies with a strength and speed that defied belief. It grabbed one Titan by the neck, twisting its head clean off with a sickening crunch, then kicked another so hard that its body shattered against a building. The Titan's movements were a lethal ballet, each step and strike a testament to its deadly prowess.

Mikasa's heart pounded in her chest. "That Titan… It's different," she murmured, eyes never leaving the scene. She felt a strange connection to it, an inexplicable sense of familiarity.

Sasha, clutching her bow, nodded. "It's fighting the other Titans. Could it be on our side?"

As the last of the Titans from the group fell, the mysterious Titan paused, its chest heaving with exertion. It turned slowly, its glowing jade eyes locking onto Mikasa. For a moment, time seemed to stand still. Mikasa felt a shiver run down her spine as she met the Titan's gaze. There was something familiar about those eyes, something that tugged at the edges of her memory.

Before she could react, the Titan was attacked by more Titans. This time, the feminine Titan was overwhelmed by the sheer numbers, struggling to fend off the relentless onslaught.

Armin arrived at the scene, looking at the abnormal titan with a frown. Perhaps they could exploit this…

Reiner Braun and Bertholdt Hoover stood at a distance, their faces contorted in shock and horror. They had been watching the entire scene unfold, their eyes wide with disbelief.

"That's… that's not possible," Reiner muttered, his voice barely a whisper. "Annie… could it be?"

"No, look at the hair and eyes," Bertholdt shook his head, his expression one of utter confusion. "She's been missing for years. But if it's not her, then who? Was she devoured?"

The implications were staggering. Annie Leonhart, their comrade, had vanished without a trace after the fall of Wall Maria— she had gone to the woods one night but never returned. Yet here was a Titan that bore an uncanny resemblance to her form. But the way it fought, the rage in its eyes—it was not Annie.

Mikasa's mind raced. Questions swirled around her thoughts, but there was no time for answers. The Titans were closing in, and the battle was not over.

Armin's voice was trembling, but his mind was racing. "We can use that Titan," he said, his eyes wide with a mix of fear and hope. "It's only attacking other Titans. If we guide it, we can turn the tide."

Connie frowned, shaking his head. "Are you out of your mind? That thing could turn on us any second! It's insane to think we could control it."

"But it hasn't attacked any of us," Mikasa said, her voice firm, her gaze locked on the Titan below. "Armin's right. We need every advantage we can get right now. If it's killing other Titans, we can use that."

Jean, ever the pragmatist, crossed his arms and sighed. "I don't like it, but we don't have much choice. We're running low on gas and blades. If we can lure more Titans toward it, maybe it'll do the dirty work for us."

Sasha, gripping her bow tightly, nodded. "I'm in. We just have to be careful. Real careful."

Armin's plan was simple but risky. They needed to draw the nearby Titans away from the tower, where the remaining Scouts and civilians were taking refuge. If they could direct the Titans toward this mysterious, fierce Titan that resembled the Female Titan, it might just slaughter them all. But doing so required precision and nerves of steel.

"Alright, we're doing this," Armin said, his voice steadier now. "Mikasa, you'll lead the way. Connie, Jean, and Sasha, you'll flank the Titans and try to draw them away from the tower. I'll stay here and guide you from above. If anything goes wrong, regroup immediately."

Mikasa didn't hesitate. "Let's move."

They launched themselves off the tower with their ODM gear, the wires zipping and clinking as they maneuvered through the air. Mikasa took the lead, her focus unbreakable, eyes darting between the lumbering Titans and the tower they needed to protect.

"Hey, ugly! Over here!" Connie shouted as he zipped past a massive Titan, narrowly avoiding its swinging arm. He aimed for the Titan's back, slashing at it with his blades just enough to get its attention.

"Jean, help me out!" Connie yelled.

"Got it!" Jean shouted back, firing his wires to zip past the same Titan. He followed up with a strike to its nape, not enough to kill it, but enough to enrage it. The Titan roared and turned away from the tower, its beady eyes now locked on Jean and Connie.

Sasha was on the opposite side, drawing her bowstring taut. She released an arrow, striking another Titan in the eye. It howled in pain, staggering towards her, its mouth open wide. Sasha smirked as she darted through the air, leading the Titan away from the vulnerable tower.

"Come on, you big freak! This way!" Sasha taunted, firing another arrow as she led the Titan closer to the abnormal one.

Mikasa, meanwhile, was working her way towards the tower's base, slashing at the ankles of a particularly large Titan that had begun to tear at the walls. Blood splattered across her face as she severed its tendons, forcing it to collapse. She watched as it fell, groaning in frustration as it tried to reach for her.

"Armin, we've got their attention," Mikasa called out. "But we're running out of time. That Titan better start moving soon."

Armin, watching from above, noticed the feminine Titan's jade eyes narrowing as it assessed the situation. It seemed to sense the nearby Titans now focused on the Scouts. Then, suddenly, with a speed and ferocity that left Armin breathless, the black-haired Titan lunged.

It was a blur of motion. The Titan's long, black hair whipped around its face as it charged at the nearest Titan, hardened fists crashing down on its head with a sickening crunch. The sound echoed through the streets, a grotesque symphony of battle.

"Holy crap…" Jean muttered, watching in awe as the feminine Titan ripped through its opponent. There was no hesitation, no mercy—just pure, unbridled rage. It tore into the other Titans with a ferocity that made even the hardened Scouts shiver.

The black-haired Titan grabbed another by the throat, its jade eyes glowing with hatred. With a swift motion, it smashed the Titan's head into the ground, crushing it like a melon. Blood and steam erupted from the corpse as the feminine Titan roared, its voice filled with a terrifying mix of anger and pain.

"That thing is… incredible," Connie whispered, barely believing what he was seeing.

"It's fighting like it has a grudge against them," Sasha added, her eyes wide with a mix of fear and admiration. "Like it wants to wipe them out."

The Titans, now fully engaged with their opponent, had completely abandoned their pursuit of the humans. They lunged at the black-haired Titan, but it was too fast, too strong. Each one that attacked was met with brutal, lethal force.

Mikasa kept her distance, her heart pounding as she watched the battle unfold. She couldn't shake the feeling that there was something familiar about this Titan. The way it fought, the way it moved—it reminded her of someone, but she couldn't quite place it.

"Armin," she called out through the radio, her voice tight with concern, "Are you sure we're safe?"

Armin hesitated. "I… I don't know. But it's our best shot. We just have to keep it focused on the other Titans."

The black-haired Titan roared again, its roar echoing off the buildings. It caught a smaller Titan by the arm and, with a sickening twist, tore it clean off. The smaller Titan screeched, stumbling back before the black-haired Titan delivered a final, crushing blow to its head.

The streets were now littered with the corpses of Titans, steam rising from their bodies as the abnormal Titan stood among them, breathing heavily. Its once-pristine black hair was now matted with blood and grime, its jade eyes still glowing with an unearthly light.

More Titans poured into the area, a never-ending wave of monstrous bodies. The feminine-looking Titan with its black hair and glowing jade eyes was fierce, but the numbers were overwhelming. The ground trembled as they swarmed it, their grotesque forms piling on top of each other, their ravenous hunger driving them mad.

The Scouts could only watch in horror. Mikasa, Connie, Sasha, and Jean were frozen in place, unable to tear their eyes away from the gruesome sight unfolding before them. The black-haired Titan fought with every ounce of strength it had left, but it was outnumbered.

A massive Titan grabbed its arm, tearing it off with a sickening crunch. Another bit into its leg, ripping through muscle and bone. Blood and steam filled the air as the once-mighty Titan was pulled apart piece by piece. It let out a roar of pain and fury, but even that was drowned out by the maddening chaos of the other Titans' feeding frenzy.

"They're… they're eating it!" Sasha gasped, her voice trembling with disbelief. "They're actually eating it…"

"It's cannibalism," Armin said, his face pale as he watched the horror unfold. "They're eating their own kind."

Mikasa's heart sank. She had never seen anything like this. The Titans were tearing the feminine Titan apart, consuming it as if it were no different from any other Titan or human. It was a level of brutality that shook her to her core.

As the horror unfolded, Connie's eyes widened in terror. "Look!" he yelled, pointing frantically. "It's coming right at us—the one that ate Thomas!"

The abnormal Titan with its grotesquely long limbs was charging towards them, its mouth open wide, saliva dripping from its gaping maw. It was the same one that had devoured their comrade, and it was moving fast.

There was no time to react, no time to even think. The Scouts braced themselves for the worst, their bodies tense with fear. But before the monstrous creature could reach them, something incredible happened.

The black-haired Titan, even with its mutilated body, roared back to life. It shook off the Titans that clung to it, muscles straining as it freed itself from their grasp. With a surge of energy, it lunged forward and caught the leaping abnormal Titan in its jaws. The Titan's sharp teeth sank into the abnormal's flesh, crushing it with a force that sent shockwaves through the battlefield.

The Scouts watched in awe as the black-haired Titan, even in its weakened state, used the abnormal Titan as a weapon. It swung the body of the abnormal like a massive club, smashing into the other Titans that had attacked it. Each impact sent blood and chunks of flesh flying, the ground shaking with the force of the blows. The feminine Titan's rage was palpable, its every movement fueled by an intense hatred.

One by one, the Titans fell. Their bodies were crushed, torn apart, and reduced to nothing but steaming piles of flesh. The black-haired Titan didn't stop until every last one of its enemies was dead. It had taken down every Titan in the area, leaving behind a field of destruction.

But the victory came at a cost. The black-haired Titan staggered, its body swaying as the last of its strength faded. With a final, exhausted groan, it collapsed onto the ground. Steam rose from its battered form, slowly enveloping it in a thick, white cloud.

Connie's voice broke the heavy silence that followed. "We… we won, right?" he asked, his tone uncertain, as if he couldn't quite believe what had just happened.

"At least we've won this battle," Jean replied, his voice grim. The battlefield was littered with the bodies of Titans, but the cost had been high. They were alive, but only just.

Mikasa stared at the fallen Titan, her heart heavy. She had seen it fight with such ferocity, such determination. She had high hopes for it—hopes that it might be the key to turning the tide in this endless war. But now, seeing it lying there, lifeless, she couldn't shake the feeling of loss that settled deep in her chest.

"I had high hopes for it…" she began, but her voice trailed off as something caught her eye. The steam was thinning, revealing something within the Titan's nape. Her breath caught in her throat. "Wait… what is that?"

The others turned to look, their eyes widening in shock as they realized what was happening. Emerging from the Titan's nape, where its body was beginning to dissolve, was a figure—a human figure. The steam cleared, revealing the unmistakable form of a human. Their hair was drenched in sweat, body covered in blood and steam, but there was no mistaking who it was.

"Eren?" Sasha's voice was barely a whisper, the word escaping her lips before she even realized she had spoken it.

Mikasa's heart pounded in her chest as she took a step forward, her eyes locked on the figure emerging from the Titan's remains. "Eren…" she whispered, her voice trembling.

The others were frozen, unable to process what they were seeing. Eren… was a Titan? The realization hit them like a ton of bricks. Their friend, the boy they had grown up with, who had sworn to kill every last Titan, was now one of them.

The world seemed to stand still as Eren's unconscious body slipped out of the Titan's nape, collapsing onto the ground below. The truth was undeniable, but the implications were too overwhelming to comprehend. Eren had been the one fighting alongside them, saving them from certain death. Eren was the Female Titan.

Far from that place, Bertholdt and Reiner were dumbfounded. There was no other explanation…

"He… ate her." Reiner broke the silence between them.

So the reason behind the disappearance of Annie was her death.

Bertholdt clenched his fists. "I…I'll kill him! I'll make him suffer so much that he'll beg for mercy after we take away his powers."

Reiner bit his lip before he nodded. "We will."
