Prompt: "Just take a deep breath or something."
"Take a deep breath!? It feels like my insides are being ripped out!"
To say that Ra was not surprised in the least at how her four companions reacted to Jenkins was a bit of an understatement. He had been annoyingly cryptic (as per usual) while everyone else had been confused. That none of them had noticed that she was two steps from laughing the whole time was just icing on the cake.
Now, the Archivist was sitting up on the high table in the main workroom of the Annex that she knew Jenkins usually sat at, watching as Colonel Baird kept working on Flynn's wound as the Librarian laid out on the main table. Apparently, Jones was paying attention as well. "Maybe you should just take a deep breath or something."
The Librarian didn't take too kindly to the thief's suggestion it would seem. "Take a deep breath?! It feels like my insides are being ripped out!"
"Flynn!" It wasn't often that Ra raised her voice, so she found that, when she did, she commanded more attention, just like now.
Baird took advantage of the silence to admonish the Librarian. "Don't move too much."
This caused Flynn to actually look at her ministrations. "What are you stuffing that with, duct tape and glue?"
"Yes, actually. The bleeding won't stop."
"As Ra and I have both said multiple times, it won't stop. It's a magical wound from Excalibur."
"Oh, god!" All attention was turned to Jenkins, who had quickly grabbed the wooden globe that Flynn used to search for ley lines out of the air, as Stone had (apparently) thrown it into the air. Ra shook her head as the older man continued speaking. "Don't touch anything! This is my workspace, not Judson's, and I'm doing very important research."
"Wait, we're in the Library?" Flynn quickly got up and began searching the area, causing Ra to sigh again. "Judson? Charlene? Where's the Library?"
Stone looked just as confused. "This is the same room. I swear it is."
"It is in essence." They all looked over at Ra, who sighed again before she hopped down from the table and smiled sadly. "The way I have come to understand it, the main Library can only ever be anchored to one specific place in the world. But what if the Librarian needed to gain access to the Library's knowledge, yet was far from the front door? Jenkins is in charge of this interface." Her smile widened before she swept her arm around the space. "Welcome to the Annex."
