Chapter 19
'Please don't freak out, Please don't freak out, Please don't freak out, Please don't freak out, Please don't freak out, Please don't freak out, Please don't freak out,'
That thought kept going through Yua's mind as her father glared at her oddly. He didn't notice Sukuna standing up and taking his mask off, but when he did, her father picked up on it, since after all.
Everyone in the family went pale white.
He slowly turned around and then, began to look up at Sukuna who was now staring him down, with a twisted grin. "Hello… Father in law!" he teased.
Yua was about to speak, until her father grabbed her wrist and pushed her behind him. "Stay there" he ordered her.
"Dad…"
"Just listen to me, and run!" he ordered her.
Yua sighed aloud.
"What's with him? Also… OJI QUIT FREAKING THEM OUT!" Rook scolded.
Sukuna backed off but smirked. "Tsk, suck the fun out of it for me. You know I don't get to do this often!" he protested.
"Yua…" her father demanded. "What the hell is going on here?!"
She sighed aloud and explained to her family what has happened, why Sukuna was here and the fact that he married Chusi for she was the woman he was going to marry before. That all changed because of Kenjaku's two birds one stone plan. He wanted to use Sukuna to destroy the clan.
To which he nearly did… nearly. And yet, with everything that has happened, Yua explained to her father. "Like it or not, this all happened… because of him." she said as gently as she could.
Sukuna however peered about the Toorus here, he snickered and smirked a little. "How interesting…" he said offhandedly.
"What?" Yua asked of him. "What's so interesting?"
He motioned to the family before him. "If everyone here… those who just came to the domain… had they fought me in Shibuya… They had good odds." He explained.
"Huh?!" demanded the family.
"Yua, what is he talking about?" Her brother Shin asked.
She sighed to this as well. "As of late, Sukuna has been rather… interested in the development of talents, he has faced a few standing before him here and defeated them with ease, but that was because he faced the sorcerers who originally owned those bodies. Now… he's aware that those within these bodies now are Toorus… and he knows what a Tooru can do to a technique."
The family stared at her oddly. "Come again?" her mother asked in confusion.
"Backhanded compliment. He is saying had you been there in Shibuya in the day, with these techniques… we would have held our ground well against him." she explained.
"You're not included in this," Sukuna protested. "In fact, those who have come to the domain invited… and the two who snuck in… it would have been a phenomenal fight…" he said as he licked his lips at the notion. "A good battle indeed…"
"Anyways…" Yua muttered.
"Still… How is he here? WHY is he like this?" Her father whispered.
"Long story," Yua said with a sigh. "A very long story, which should be explained after dinner."
"Good, I'm starving." Sukuna muttered as he left first for the dining hall. He was oddly enough leading everyone towards the hall, and all the while he wouldn't shut up!
"To think, I made this happen!" he said proudly. "The Tooru clan that was once on the brink of destruction is now back in play and soon to be growing in numbers… what a good time to be alive and see the looks on your enemy's faces when they realize they are up against a Tooru!"
"Yua…" Her father muttered once more. "Really, what IS his problem?"
"Oh… right…" she muttered, nearly forgetting something. "Ah… about that. You see, Sukuna is now linked to our family not just in marriage but binding vow. At the time, he made an agreement with lady Tiamat before Chusi was to be brought back. Since he destroyed our clan, he has to take responsibility and help it grow stronger again, for if the name dies, he goes with it." She explained.
Her father paused. Even her mother appeared rather… startled by this development. "So… he is bounded to us, to the clan… for his own skin?" she asked.
"It was like that at first, he did a good job keeping me safe until he got knocked loopy and thought I was Chusi for a while… I suppose that triggered his urge and wanting a Tooru wife. But in that, Lady Tiamat fulfilled his request… after she severed my arms and legs, she used that as a medium…"
"Wait, wait, wait… severed your arms and legs?!" demanded her brother Shin.
"Yeah, she was nothing more than a torso for a month." Came out of Sukuna.
"In which he was more than HAPPY to help and carried Yua around" Chusi chimed in.
"Tsk, you didn't have to tell them THAT part…"
"Anyway…" Yua muttered. "He has been acting as guardian to our family. In fact, he goes as far as training my children who are still sorcerers…"
Her family paused. "Still sorcerers?" her father asked of her. "What do you mean by that?"
"Are you as blind as Kashimo?!" Sukuna scolded him. "Her eyes altered when they came upon you and you didn't notice? She's a dragon too! In fact, nearly everyone here has become one!"
"Blunt as ever…" came out of Yua, Rook, and Suguru.
Her father trembled but stared at her. "You… you became a dragon? How?!"
"Dad… our family, the Tooru blood line has dragon blood in it, it's why we are so good with curse energy and can push it beyond its normal standards. We are able to develop it better than most sorcerers…"
"Most?" Sukuna questioned her. "Very few have the understanding of a Tooru when it comes to curse energy."
"My, he is chatty…" her mother whispered.
"By the way. Are you okay mom? Being around him… and… being HER?" Yua asked.
"I got that out of the system as soon as possible, granted it wasn't easy to get that mindset out of me, but it worked out… we have a little brother to introduce you to later…"
This time, Yua froze. "A little brother?!" she demanded.
"And don't be shocked if there are future uncles or aunts coming either, for some reason your grandma and grandpa got really young bodies…" her father whispered.
"I heard that!" her grandfather shouted.
They just reached the village square. Ryoto was pacing about with worry, when he saw them coming. He was about to speak.
Then Sukuna went up to him and tore off his necklace!
"WHAT! FATHER!?" he protested as his true features were revealed. He froze before his principal and teachers, he even shied away embarrassed. "I… I…" he stammered.
"RYOMEN!" Chusi scolded.
"No point in hiding it anymore." He said bluntly. "Besides, they are not strangers or his teachers, they are his family."
"Family?" Ryoto whispered.
"Called it," said grandpa Tooru.
Yua's father rolled his eyes and nodded. "Yeah, he suspected you were on a Sukuna level of some sort, I didn't think…" he froze for a moment, he suddenly peered at Ryoto and then, at Sukuna…
A confused look came over him as he peered at Chusi.
"HOW?!" he demanded aloud.
"Dad?" Yua asked.
He stared at Ryoto and then, he stared at Chusi. "HOW?!" He demanded of her. "With him?!"
"Oh God, don't go there…" Yua pleaded.
"Excuse me? What do you mean by how?" Chusi demanded. "Are you saying there is something wrong with this?"
"Not aloud…"
"DAD!" Yua scolded.
"Seriously hon, look at the dynamic of this!"
"I got to agree with your old man on this" came out of her uncle.
Her cousins nodded too. "Yeah this is one for unsolved mysteries…"
Yua however peered over and saw Chusi was brimming with rage… and yet unleashed no curse energy. "How? How you ask?" she asked sweetly. "You want to know, I will tell you. After all, he is my husband, I know every inch of his body better than most."
"MOM!" Ryoto pleaded with her to stop.
"Chusi, if you are going to do this, take them back to your place and do so!" Yua ordered. "We will not traumatize the children here!"
She smiled to her. "Okay then… Ryomen…" In a quick swoop, he gathered the Tooru men who didn't keep their mouths shut. Her grandfather was smart enough to keep silent about it. Her cousins, father and uncle on the other hand… vanished rather instantly and a door was slammed.
Ryoto was red in the face from all of this. "I am… so sorry for not explaining myself…" he said gently.
Yua's grandfather sighed. "I had my misgivings about you, boy. I knew there was something powerful about you, it's not every day you summon Sukuna's cult to our door after blowing off a roof."
"Is that what happened?" Ryoto whispered.
"First I am hearing about this…" said Yua.
"It happened, but at the same time there were more and more traits coming out from you that were similar to Sukuna, and yet… reminded me a lot of my family. I should have known there was Tooru blood in your veins."
"Thank you sensei…"
"No sensei! I'm your Hiijiji!"
Ryoto froze to this. "Hiijiji? Really?!" his eyes widened, he was like a child as he learned he had not just a hiijiji, but a hiibara as well! "Great grandparents…" he then paused. "Does this mean…"
Yua's mother stepped forward. She nodded to him. "I'm your Sobo." She said gently. "And your grandfather, great uncle and cousins have been taken prisoner by your mother and father…"
"Sorry about that…"
"Hon, if the men are that curious, and not know when to drop a subject, they need to pay for their mistakes." She said bluntly.
It has been the family way, ask and you shall receive. But Yua paused realizing her brother Shin wasn't among them. "Did Shin go with them willingly?" she asked.
"It's Damian now," her mother explained. "And yes, he did…"
"Curiosity killed the cat…" said Satoru as he shrugged his shoulders to it all.
