Here it is, the 100th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks released on the right day as promised. At last I've hit 100 proper chapters (not including the prologue) and this one is a nice, short by my standards, chapter in the wake of the Joint Training arc that will complete that arc and wrap it up in a nice little bow. There's going to be a few transition chapters that flesh out more around what is going on coming up before we move into the next mini arc and then the longer arc that is next from the anime as there is one arc I can't really do with the focus I have on the Miraculous duo but don't worry, I haven't forgotten about it. There is one brief clarification that I should make here and that is the timeline as there is a discrepancy between my timeline and the Miraculous canon one. I will be sticking to my timeline as it's far to late to change it now but I will acknowledge my mistake as I based everything off the year in which the latter part of Season 3 was released (2019) and Marinette and Adrien's ages at the time (15) rather than the year of the shows actual release in 2015. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused. Anyway, that is all the administrative stuff I have for now though and as there are no review questions to answer or guest reviews to respond to I will end this note here. Do keep the reviews coming as I enjoy hearing from y'all. Now, though, it is time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the 100th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks.

Disclaimer: I do not own either of these great works of fiction.

Chapter 100: Hero Course Comradery

Marinette hummed as she finished baking what she was, well, baking and withdrew the hot tray from the oven as the delicious scent reached her, making sure she was wearing oven gloves as she did of course. It was a smell that she always loved growing up in the bakery and while not as sweet as what many had come to expect from her it was still pleasant and familiar to her in a comforting way. The sweet stuff was coming for dessert, she and Sato had prepared it, but this was for the main meal they were all preparing, and this was an early batch for people to enjoy as they waited for the food.

Said food was beef stew, Ida's favorite and as he was the class rep who'd prepared this it was understandable that it would be the chosen dish of for the event. They were also making other things for the sides to pair with it and naturally there was going to be plenty of food because Class B was joining them for this event. It was a long overdue one where both class in full got together and not the small ones where Monoma came over to make fun, Kendo and others came to get him and apologize, and they ended up playing a game or something.

This time, almost all of the Hero Course was now chilling in Class A's dorm as they chatted amongst each other, milled around, or helped out in the kitchen. Some of Class B, those with some cooking skills or at least helpful Quirks, had insisted on helping out though none were allowed near the baking much to their surprise, but Class A had insisted that baking was something they did best and to just wait for the results as they'd be blown away by them.

That was because they didn't know the truth of Marinette's skills, but they'd learn that soon enough as Marinette carefully placed the tray where it wouldn't do damage but wouldn't be in the way and began to transfer the items to a bowl that Sato had provided. He was the only one allowed to help her out when it came to baking for the class, Marinette would of course teach anyone the art but only when there was time to do so. However, what Marinette had just made was something that Sato couldn't help with as his expertise lay with the sweet side of baked goods.

This was something that Marinette made from scratch starting as soon as they'd finished bathing after the training session as it would take time, and the first batch was now done so she quickly put the second batch in to bake so that it would be ready in time for the meal. It was also a secret family recipe perfected from her grandfather's time that she wouldn't share with anyone just yet so naturally she had to make it on her own.

The day had been a long and eventful one before reaching this point as it had been the joint training exercise in the first year Hero Course. Class A and Class B had been pitted against each other in 5 matches with two potential transfer students joining in 4 of Class B's teams while Marinette and Adrien went twice each as the extras in their class due to their special transfer status but with rules designed to counter their experience.

In the end Class A had emerged victorious in 4 of the 5 matches while tying one of them for the overall victory much to Class B's chagrin. Now, they were all chilling in the dorm to end the day with the other hero class to foster bonds together in the wake of battling each other.

Only Midoriya wasn't present at the moment. After the training session he'd disappeared with Bakugo for some reason and had yet to return though Bakugo was back and sitting alone in a sofa eating his own food and being as anti-social as ever. Todoroki had been looking for Midoriya since the end of the training exercise, so he was on the lookout for the one missing classmate, but Marinette ignored that. She knew that something was going on, and that it was something big, but she was certain she'd be informed by Mage in time.

For now, she had to show off the full extent of her baking skills as she finished loading up the bowl, took off her apron under which she was wearing over her normal clothes minus her blazer as that would get in the way, and left the kitchen area. She trusted the cooks for the main meal and left Sato in charge of dessert as she made her way through the gathered classmates, ignoring the bro fest that Tetsutetsu and Kirishima were having and to one of the tables where Tsu, Ochaco, Yanagi, and most importantly to Marinette. Shiozaki sat chatting amongst themselves.

The reason Marinette wanted to see the vine haired Class B girl was that during the first match where she and Shiozaki faced off at one point during the series of engagements the classes had had in that match, Marinette had headbutted Shiozaki to knock her out, breaking her nose in the process and Shiozaki still had her nose in a caste from it. Marinette would do so again, she had to go all out to defeat the other girl but still they were going to be heroes together one day, so she wanted to make sure everything was good between them and had come with the perfect peace offering.

"Marinette, what do you have there?" Tsu asked as Marinette reached them holding the bowl in her hands and walking carefully just in case her clumsiness returned, which would be embarrassing and bad if she ended up falling and tossing the contents of the bowl all over the place, and catching a whiff of it. "That smells really good and fresh, ribbit."

"New sweets?" Ochaco asked excitedly as Marinette placed the bowl down and they saw what I contained much to their surprise. "Huh, I wasn't expecting that."

"A baker's true skill lies in the original art, that is making bread itself." Marinette said smiling at them as they all looked at the very fresh bread rolls she'd baked for the class; more were now in the oven for the main meal, but these were an early batch for a specific reason. "My family has passed down this skill for generations, each adding to it to improve it while still preserving the old, so we have a wide selection to choose from. I have yet to add to it, so I used my dad's recipe for it but the staple of the Dupain family, our fresh baked bread unlike any you'll find. Shiozaki, I was told that this is your favorite food, so I wanted to make some for you to try first and to, um, apologize for breaking your nose."

"I have already forgiven you; you did what was needed in the battle just as I tried to do, and you didn't use deception like the other sinners." Shiozaki said her eyes looking at the break that was tingling her nostrils with its scent though her words were slightly off thanks to the caste that thankfully didn't prevent her from smelling the bread. "Few can best my vines, but I knew you had the potential. I cannot fault you for following the instructions and not holding back just as I wasn't. I had hoped to beat you but clearly I still have more to learn. May I take some of the body of the Lord? It does smell really pleasant."

"Of course, though as we are having Holy Communion at the moment so you can just call it bread." Marinette said her limited religious education coming through, she was nominally a Christian though not exactly the most practicing one out there as many in her day in France weren't, and, well, she had a wider understanding of divinity than most thanks to Mage, but she kept that from Shiozaki. "Please, take some it is for all."

"I am a servant of the Lord; his light guides me always." Shiozaki said taking a piece of bread. "So, to me this is always his body. Perhaps you could join me in worship sometime Dupain-Cheng, few are Christian here but as you and Agreste are from a Christian nation I presume you are. Tsunotori occasionally joins me but she's not as practicing as I'd like."

"Neither Adrien nor I are really the most observant." Marinette pointed out. "It's been a long time since I went to church, though I do love Notre Dame Cathedral, but thank you for the offer."

"You can bake?" Yanagi asked as the girls began to help themselves to the break interrupting any chat about religion which Marinette was grateful for. "I didn't know that."

"Yeah Marinette's amazing when it comes to baking." Ochaco said as she took the bread, broke a piece off and popped it in her mouth. "Woah this is really good. It's so fluffy and warm with just the right consistency and a hint of something more that I can't place. I never knew fresh bread could taste this good."

"It is." Shiozaki said clearly enjoying the bread. "You truly can make some of the best bread I've ever had. How can you manage it?"

"Marinette's baking can't be beat." Tsu said enjoying some herself. "Learning Sato can bake well was a surprise, but Marinette revealed at the same time that she was better. That really shocked us as she perfectly deciphered what Sato had baked and then revealed she was actually trained to bake properly."

"Hard not to be, it would be a dishonor to my family if I wasn't this good." Marinette said without arrogance. "My family on my dad's side are the best bakers in Paris, so I was trained by the best from as early ask I can remember. This is my dad's personal take on the family's bread recipe. It was perfected by my grandfather, wait no sorry mistranslation in my head I mean ancestor, Rolland Dupain who was a great baker in the pre-Quirk era. His son Tom began the business and improved on a lot and every generation since has done so. As we started with bread, in fact the Dupain part of my name literally means bread in French, it's what we all must master to truly be bakers."

"You're family are bakers?" Yanagi asked and Marinette was glad to see that the girls hadn't picked up on her slip up and neither Adrien nor Momo were around to help her at the moment as they were in their own conversations. "I didn't know but this bread is proof of your talents."

"Yup and I'll inherit the business, but I want to be a hero so that's what I'm going to do though I will still run the brand." Marinette said as she took a bread roll herself to enjoy her handiwork. "I still love baking, as much as I love fashion and designing clothes, so I do that in my spare time but only for friends as. My family's store, Tom and Sabine's Boulangerie and Patisserie, has several locations all over in Europe and the US so it's a full business at this point."

"I have heard of that store." A new voice said causing Marinette to turn to find Shishida approaching her though she did note that this was also the moment that Midoriya chose to return to the dorm and Ida explained the situation to him as he was confused by it while Tetsutetsu punched Kirishima and finally ranted about the differences in their Quirks. "My parents import some of the confections from it, they are very good."

"We do have a branch in Shanghai so while I doubt that it's not cheap it's doable." Marinette said as even back in her day they had international clients who paid ridiculous currier prices to get their hands on her family's products. "Though I can't speak for the quality of our branch stores as I have yet to actually visit one. Pretty much never left Paris until coming here other than one trip to London I took as a class trip as I was too busy to really leave my homeland."

"Nor can I speak to the Shanghai location as we import directly from Paris." Shishida said bowing his head slightly. "The main branch is where they are best, we had them on a family trip to Paris several years ago and have since been getting them from there though I apologize for not realizing that it was your family that ran it, I should have known."

"That's fine, Momo knew of the brand as well and didn't put it together either." Marinette said dismissively and actually glad that the connection was hard to make. "I don't like trading on the family name, I know Adrien hates it as well but can't avoid it, and thankfully we never used it in the bakery. That and the Cheng part of my name does throw people."

"It certainly does." Shishida said. "In east Asia we aren't used to the concept of hyphenated names or even the maternal line keeping the familial name. It's just not common here."

"I can see that." Marinette said. "It is certainly more common in Europe though not as prevalent as you'd expect. It was odd that my mother, who's Chinese, opted to keep the Cheng name but I never questioned her decision and I like having both family names in my own surname."

"Yeah that is strange to us." Tsu admitted as the others nodded. "Though Shishida, you mentioned that you got the items directly from Marinette's family's main store in Paris, ribbit. That must cost a lot."

"It's nothing really." Shishida said showing his rather clueless nature to his own background. "There are some international couriers who use specialized Quirks and technology to keep things fresh, so we use those."

"What is your life." Ochaco said and Marinette had to agree, that had to be an expensive service but if she recalled the little study she'd done on the members of Class B she was sure that Shishida was from a well-off family and likely wasn't too attuned to others similar to Momo but not in a malicious way as he clearly didn't look down on them. "I can't even imagine that."

"I am honored that you chose to go to the main branch for it." Marinette said deflecting from what was going on as she noted that Todoroki had found Midoriya to discuss whatever it was he wanted to discuss with him, but it wasn't a quick discussion. "But this is not a time to chat about familial business, we are all here to be heroes and discuss the exercise and training or punish Mineta."

"Yes about that, what is going on there, ribbit." Tsu said looking over to a corner where Mina was standing over Mineta who was bound in a straight jacket with his eyes forced open to watch something on a screen and his mouth open in a silent scream. "Momo made all that for him, but I don't get it."

"Not that he doesn't deserve it." Yanagi said. "I could tell he was trying to land blows on specific areas of mine and Yui's bodies in the final match. That was part of why he was able to contain us as we really didn't want him to make contact."

"Sounds like Mineta." Ochaco said with a sigh.

"The little sinner will get his dues when he is called to the lord for how we act in this life influences our rewards or punishments in our eternal life after." Shiozaki said piously. "He will be tormented in the depths of hell where he deserves to dwell for his perversity and lustful ways for all eternity."

"That, um, may be but for now at least we've found something new to try." Tsu said unsure how to respond to Shiozaki. "But what actually is it?"

"Adrien said it's based off some old cult classic, one of the few that survived the Quirk Wars, from the UK." Marinette said with a shrug. "Never seen it myself, it's classified as horror by some and a psychological thriller by others, and even a sci-fi film by experts apparently so I just avoid it out of caution as I can't stand horror films. Apparently in the film that, um, experimental treatment was used to correct the main character's perverted and violent behavior that he agreed to in order to get out of prison early according to Adrien so they are trying to see if it will work. I think that level of perversity can't be corrected however."

"Yeah Mineta may be a lost cause." Ochaco said with a sigh as the other girls nodded, even the Class B girls as they also knew of his actions. "Nothing has worked so far so I doubt something based of an old film will either."

"Ah I believe I know that film but haven't seen it myself." Shishida said. "But you are right Dupain-Cheng, this event is about furthering our bonds as heroes and discussing the training exercise we all just engaged in. That is why I have approached you, I wanted to discuss my fight with you in the first match. Where did I go wrong? I am curious to learn how I lost so that I may get better in the future."

"Really the only mistake you made was that you didn't knock me out when you had the opening to do so." Marinette said. "I am aware that Beast gives you an enhanced constitution when active, one that surpasses my own natural one thanks to the generations of selective breeding the French upper classes liked to partake in after the advent, but I underestimated how strong it was, especially with your senses. I thought I had taken you down right at the start between landing on your head and tossing you into a wall I expected you to be out, but you weren't."

"I am very sturdy when in Beast even if I get a bit hyper and excited when it's active." Shishida said. "So, it does take a lot to knock me out, but I certainly felt the moves. Clever to use gravity to add the first blow and then to toss me like that took strength but as you saw it takes more to beat me."

"I did and that was where you had the opening to beat me." Marinette said. "When you showed your reflexes and smell to grab me and slam me into the wall, that was where you had me but rather than go for the knockout you went to pin me. You shouldn't be that merciful in the field when facing an opponent that you know can withstand a few blows, better to be safe than sorry as I proved to you in that brawl."

"I wasn't sure how much force would be needed so I erred on the side of less than more to be safe." Shishida admitted. "I know you're sturdy, we all saw your battle with Todoroki in the Sports Festival and how much damage you received in that match. I recalled how you were blasted into a concrete wall and still managed to stand at the end, so I was going for the pin and then use the hold to wear you down to unconsciousness."

"I'll give you; you had the strength as if it wasn't for how my costume adds to my durability and strength, that blow would have broken my ribs which would have been the third time that's happened this year, so I am glad for that as it's not a pleasant experience." Marinette said. "But if you recall, I may have landed on my feet in the Sports Festival after I hit the wall but that was more reflex, I think as I can't really remember much after spitting in Todoroki's face, and I was out cold almost as soon as I landed on my feet so that should have given you a sense of what I can take."

"Yes, I see, that was a good base line for your durability, I should have used it." Shishida said understanding his mistake now. "I just didn't want to cause a serious injury."

"I cracked my skull in the Sports Festival and that was about the force needed so you weren't in danger, but I do get that you were being cautious, a good idea in the field but if you know your foe is stronger than average you can be less gentle." Marinette said though her words were a little hollow as Yanagi still wore bandages around her head from the blow Adrien inflicted on her to beat her. "What you should have done is grab my face and slam me headfirst into the wall, that would have at least knocked me senseless if not outright knocked me out."

"Like what Agreste did to me." Yanagi said touching her bandages. "That worked and I was out right away."

"Yes I am sorry that Adrien got so rough." Marinette said bowing her head noting that her boyfriend was currently chatting with Kuroiro about something. "I'm sure he'll say the same later as well."

"It's fine, I know that in training we can get hurt it was just spooky to suffer it first-hand." Yanagi said. "He did what he had to do and reminded us the force we need to use to win at times. I'll learn from this."

"That is good to hear." Marinette said glad that Yanagi didn't hold a grudge before she turned back to Shishida and finished her discussion with him. "Of your team you were the only one with the strength to manage it we felt, short of Shiozaki's vines but I could counter them with Lucky Charm right away and would regardless of if it was active or not at the time as that's how much of a threat her vines pose. All of this is why we tricked your nose at the start."

"That was me." Tsu said helpfully. "I secrete a mucus that stings a little but it is pungent enough that it will leave my scent on someone so we could fool your nose with it. Plus, with Marinette's costume she didn't have to worry about any stinging from it."

"Yes, that is a clever strategy and one I should work around in the future because villains come in all shapes and sizes." Shishida said with a bow of his head. "Thank you for the advice for what to do."

"You're welcome, we are all here to learn after all." Marinette said. "As for the rest of the fight, once I had you on the backfoot after I kicked you in the nose it was just a matter of wearing you down to the point of unconsciousness. When it comes to facing enhanced durability, you just have to hit until you KO your opponent."

"That I understand and my feed back from Mr. Vlad was very helpful in showing me where I need to improve on several fronts." Shishida said. "So, I hope we can fight again so that I can test myself against you to see how much I've grown since today's loss."

"Same, I'd like to see how Lucky Charm stacks up against you." Marinette said with a nod. "I never got to find out what it would determine to be the best item to down you like it did with Shiozaki so I'm curious on that front."

"On the subject of fighting each other for training purposes." Another new voice said, and Marinette turned to see Kendo approaching her as well. "I have a proposition for you Dupain-Cheng."

"You can call me Marinette if you like." Marinette said. "I don't mind and it's more common in my culture to use first names so it's not an issue to me if you do so."

"Very well then call me Itsuka." Kendo said offering the same honor to Marinette that she'd offered her, it was the least that she could do especially with her upcoming proposal. "If we are to be heroes together then we should all be close."

"I can't agree more." Marinette said. "So, what is your proposition?"

"A simple one, a challenge if you will." Kendo said. "I saw how good you and Agreste were today, you're clearly experienced when it comes to this kind of thing, Agreste is the sole reason my team lost in the end in fact, and it's well established that you're the top girl in the year if not top overall despite the Sports Festival, but I was speaking with Setsuna earlier and she had an idea to test that theory."

"Somehow that doesn't surprise me." Marinette said looking around and noting that Tokage was with helping Ida in the kitchen with the food, her Quirk apparently quite useful for food prep despite Ida constantly worrying that part of her would die and end up in the food while she regenerated it on her body which would be unpleasant to find. "So, what do you want to propose?"

"Prove that you are in fact the best girl in our year." Kendo said grinning now. "Face all 7 girls from Class B by yourself and see if you can best all of us."

"Um, Itsuka, that's going to be scary." Yanagi said touching the wrappings around her head. "Dupain-Cheng is as strong as Agreste and don't forget that he did this to me, it's going to be tough to beat her even with all 7 of us working together."

"And my vines aren't great in such settings." Ibara said. "Group battles with them are tough unless there's space and I doubt that we'll do this outside the gym or one of the fields on campus."

"Not to mention how good Lucky Charm is." Ochaco pointed out thinking on it. "Could be fun to watch though. I've wondered if we could manage it as a Class and come to the conclusion that we can't. Can Class B's girls manage it?"

"Ribbit." Tsu agreed. "We all already look up to Marinette as our leader so if the rest of us watch it we can really see how strong she is."

"Despite my earlier reservation, I too wish for a rematch after my loss." Shiozaki said already on her third piece of bread, she clearly really liked the food and Marinette's in particular, but she did have a very simple diet to those who knew her. "And Mr. Vlad showed us our mistakes against Lucky Charm, this could be a way to find a counter it."

"Very well, I can see when I'm requested to show off." Marinette said with a grin of her own and locking eyes with Kendo. "Set it up when possible, I'll take on all 7 of you by myself as you ask. I can use the training against a group anyway, that is something I need to learn to handle better, and I do have a reputation to live up to now, can't let my girls down now can I."

"This will be fun." Ochaco said. "Though it should be girls only."

"Ribbit." Tsu said with a nod. "We'll Mineta proof it when the time comes."

"Thank you for this." Kendo said holding her hand out to Marinette in the more western gesture. "I look forward to it."

"As do I though if you want to shake on it we're doing this French style." Marinette said taking Kendo's hand and then pulling her in. "Best get used to it, I treat all the girls the same so it's high time I get to share this cultural aspect with your class as well. Well in addition to Tokage, she's already embraced it the one time we properly chatted."

Kendo just yelped in surprise as Marinette pulled her in and then kissed her on each cheek causing Kendo to go bright red and she didn't reciprocate as she wasn't sure how to though she at least could tell that this wasn't at all sexual in nature, just European. The others just laughed as Marinette took a step back and chuckled but before she could say anything it seemed like dinner was almost ready and she needed to check on the rest of her bread leaving the others to chat and explain things to a still blushing Kendo.

As all this was happening, Adrien had approached Kuroiro who was leaning against the wall in the center of the room that surrounded the courtyard all the dorms had in the center of them to see how he was doing after the second battle. Well, that and he could see how Kuroiro looked at Komori and her conversation with Tokoyami, so this was going to be a little fun.

"You've got a soft spot for her but are too shy to say anything, don't you." Adrien said low enough that only they could hear, grinning as he did. "And seeing her chat to Tokoyami is making you jealous and nervous. Trust me it's nothing serious, she just wants to know about Hawks and what he's like. I think she's a big fan of his and Tokoyami is the only one who knows him, so it makes sense that she'd ask about him."

"Agreste." Kuroiro said not reacting to the comment he was making though he was surprised at the sudden arrival of the French boy and pointed that out. "You are rather quiet on your feet I see."

"I trait from my mother's side of the family." Adrien said simply as he leaned against the wall next to Kuroiro. "They have a long history of cat-based Quirks hence why I can also hear what's going on and smell all the scents of the kitchen but that's irrelevant right now."

"Well, it's nothing of your concern." Kuroiro said dismissively, a little too quickly to be believable. "But thank you for telling me, that puts me a little at ease."

"I see, I won't push it." Adrien said understanding it all now and opting to let Kuroiro do things his way. "But if you ever need advice, I am the only one with a girlfriend though the whole landing her was, well, different to most so I can't help on that front."

"Your enhanced senses weren't how you found us earlier, was it." Kuroiro said after a second and just before Adrien was going to leave him be and asking a question he wanted to ask, he had no desire to talk to Agreste about romance however, that was something he'd keep to himself. "You found us using some other method, right?"

"Good deduction, there was." Adrien said with a nod. "Momo planted a tracker on Tokoyami's goggles, in addition to the communicator he had on him, and I had the tracker for it. It used the same signal as the one on her, so I was able to pinpoint it based on movements. He made sure to drop his goggles and the communicator after he was capture which allowed me to find you and Komori as well as overhear your plans. You stayed put too long and I was able to strike."

"Yes, you're Quirk really is something else." Kuroiro said thinking back on it. "The power of the abyss, I never realized that you understood the dark like Tokoyami and I did until that moment despite the nature of your Quirk. I would have tried to scheme you at the start had I known."

"It would have failed." Adrien said simply. "Tokoyami may have been easy, but I don't walk the path of the abyss like you two do, I've already tread it and come out stronger for it. You two are still walking it but one day you'll reach my level, I know it."

"I saw, you control it to your will." Kuroiro said. "The destruction you can wreak with Cataclysm is quite impressive. You removed my shadows against us before knocking us out without hesitation, which was what undid Tokoyami in the end, so you showed your experience there. I've never seen such power over the abyss."

"I was born to wield this darkness; it has shaped me in ways you'd never understand." Adrien admitted and Kuroiro didn't doubt it. "Though yes, Tokoyami made a mistake not taking down Komori as harshly as I did, one he'll learn from as he grows as a hero."

"We all have mistakes to learn from." Kuroiro said. "Underestimating you was one of them but that final match, the way you truly commanded the abyss like that, that was a whole new level even when compared to what you did to negate the shadows and hold me at bay."

"It has taken a while to get Cataclysm to that point, but it is draining when I go overboard like that." Adrien said. "I'm going to be recovering for a few days from that, but I had no other option, your final team had a strong set of ranged Quirks that could be a hassle, so I did what I had to do to defeat them."

"Right, you use your own body's energy to command your Quirk." Kuroiro said recalling how Cataclysm worked. "So, there's a limit to how long it can last. If we'd hit that limit and forced you into a hand-to-hand battle when you were so drained we could have won. Plus, that suit of yours is black so I could have taken control of it if need be."

"You could have but then I could have deactivated it and I doubt you can prevent that from happening." Adrien said holding up his hand to show Kuroiro his silver ring he wore there. "Advanced tech from Europe's top support gear maker creates my costume using nanotech that is linked to my body through my DNA so it can only fit me and helps enhance my already enhanced constitution. Had you been able to get into my costume I would have simply deactivated it and it would have probably expelled you once it reverted back to being silver. Course I do wear special black boxer briefs when in costume so you could have gone for those."

"I think that may have been a bit much." Kuroiro said looking away and Adrien just grinned, things like that could be key in battle as Midnight constantly proved with her provocative style and attitude. "But I see, you had counters for me the entire time."

"I still don't actually know how you and Cataclysm would work together should you try to meld with it using Black." Adrien admitted. "You can take over Dark Shadow so you might be able to take over Cataclysm when I have it in its condensed form, but I can just stop my control over it, if that happens then it will end or just destroy what it is on if it's on something though surface area does matter there as it will eventually run out of energy without my assistance if it can't outright destroy the item. Should that happen you'd probably be ejected sans clothes."

"That is not something I'd like." Kuroiro admitted. "And I take it the whole DNA coding of your costume is why it doesn't fall apart when you use your Quirk."

"Correct, it's basically an organic costume of sorts coded to me personally." Adrien said with a nod. "Marinette's is similar though she doesn't have the same issues as she's creation to my destruction so for her it's more the benefits the costume provides her rather than allowing her to fight without fear of her clothes being destroyed."

"Yes, we all saw how strong she is." Kuroiro said. "And shameless at times. Wait, where is her costume located? If it's the same as yours then it has to be in some item on her, right?"

"She didn't exactly plan to show the world her tastes in brassieres during the Sports Festival." Adrien pointed out. "Her shirt was on fire, so she had to get rid of it, she's not normally like that. As for her costume, well it's always on her like mine but let's just say that it's not normally visible due to her style and its location."

"What do you…" Kuroiro said before suddenly he recalled the Sports Festival thanks to Agreste reminding him of how she lost her top in the semifinals there and the outfits the Class A girls wore and more particularly how the shirts were short enough to reveal their navels and what he recalled seeing on Dupain-Cheng. "It's, um, well…"

"In her navel, yup." Adrien said with a nod. "That was done as it was the best place for it when we got our costumes redone with the new jewelry holders while keeping with her preferred style. So, as you can see it's not exactly in a place that she publicly shows off most of the time. It's just not her style to wear shirts like that so for the most part people don't see it but like mine it just looks like normal jewelry so no one knows that it's her hero costume. Also allows for quick transformations but we both still need to learn how to properly do those."

"I figured." Kuroiro said as Marinette hurried past them to the kitchen. "But it looks like it's dinner time. I hope to fight you again Agreste so that I can improve against someone I will struggle against. You are the strongest of those who understand the darkness though with those tendrils I feel like Midoriya is now a walker of our path as well."

"Yeah I don't know what that was." Adrien admitted as the smell of fresh beef stew, bread, steamed vegitables and other items filled the room. "But let's eat, trust me you won't know what hit you when we get to dessert. Marinette's baking can't be beat."

With that Adrien led Kuroiro to the kitchen as most of the class began to head to get food and find a place to eat and further their bonds by chatting to each other over the course of a good meal. After today's training this kind of thing was needed and in time more would happen as the classes got closer and trained more to become heroes.

None of them knew that soon they'd be thrust back into hero work in ways they couldn't have expected as they all enjoyed what would be the calm before the coming storm. Thankfully the powers that be were well at work preparing for what was to come so that all were ready for whatever was on the horizon as the calendar year came to a close.

Well, there it is, a nice, short, chapter filled with comradery and fun between the classes while setting up some more fun things to come during the 16-chapter special arc to cover the time skip between seasons 5 and 6 so if there are things you want to see then do suggest them as I have about 10 more chapters open for suggestions during that period. All that is to come however, first there are a few transition and special chapters to flesh out things around the story, deal with recent developments, acknowledge the wider picture that won't be scene due to the focus of this story being on the Miraculous duo, and what not before we move into Christmas, a special New Year chapter based off a small exert from the 5th School Briefs book, and then we can move into the Endeavor Agency arc though that will focus on Marinette and Adrien's second work study so there is plenty more to come and look forward to. Also, to anyone confused, remember that the incident occurred during season 3 of Miraculous and at the time, as this is after that Startrain episode, the only country that Marinette was confirmed to have visited was England because of that episode. The NY and Shanghai specials never occurred in this universe and while I'm treating the Shanghai one as canon to include Fei, I will not be treating the NY one as such and nothing from that will be included in this series. Anyway, that is all I have for this chapter so I will leave it off here. As always, if you like it or have any questions please let me know in reviews or PMs, I will try to answer them as best I could and post any questions asked between uploads at the start of the next chapter and do follow and favorite this, so you are alerted to future uploads. Do keep the reviews coming as I like hearing from y'all as you enjoy my work, it motivates me to keep producing the best work I can for y'all to enjoy. Until next time.
