Match 1: Momo Yaoyorozu & Yuga Aoyama vs Minoru Mineta & Ochako Uraraka

"So what is the plan, Mon Ami?" Yuga asked with his particular flare for the dramatic as he looked at Momo.

"Hmm..." Momo was thinking. The hardest thing to deal with would be Ochako's Zero Gravity for sure... She could float the bomb anywhere she wanted and make anything in the building float just as easily. Mineta was a little harder to pin down. The little perv could either be too distracted by Uraraka, or beeline straight to her.

"How fast can you go with your laser, Yuga?" Momo asked the blonde

"Quite fast, I have not had the time to calculate specifically. But if I use it for too long then it hurts mon ventre." Yuga explained, curious where his classmate was going with this.

Momo thought for a minute, using her quirk to pull a breacher drone out of her arm and load it with some flashbangs.

"Okay, here's what I'm thinking. I'm going to use the drone to scout where they put the bomb, then use the flashbangs to disorient them. If I do that, do you think you can get the bomb?"

Yuga thought for a moment, a look of determination spreading across his face. "Oui!"

Meanwhile...

"Do you have a plan, Uraraka? I'm not really good at this kind of thing." Mineta admitted.

"Then why are you here? Just to be a perv?" Ochako glared at the diminutive boy, who flinched back.

"I deserve that." He admitted. "That was why I wanted to be here, at first. Not anymore."

That threw the girl for a curveball. "Really? What changed?"

"Midoriya." Mineta sighed. "If someone like him can be a hero, and selfless, and kind and... you get the point. If someone like him can be a hero without a Quirk, then what the hell is my excuse? I don't want to be like these other heroes who are only in it for the fame, or the glory. I want to be able to look in the mirror and be proud of what I've done with my life."

That gave Ochako pause. She didn't know if he was telling the truth or not, but the conviction in his voice made her want to believe he was being genuine. "Well if that's the case, then lets show 'em what we got. How many balls can you make before you get hurt?"

"I dunno, about 50 or so?" Mineta shrugged. He never really got a chance to push his limits.

"Okay, I want you to cover the floor with them so that when Momo and Yuga walk on them, they'll get stuck..."

"...And we'll be able to capture them since they won't be able to touch the bomb, I like it!" Mineta grinned, immediately getting to work.

Battle!

"Prep time is up! Heroes may now enter the building!" All Might yelled through the intercom

As Mineta and Ochako got to their hiding places, they waited for Yuga at the very least to charge through the building. They knew Momo wouldn't, at least not right away. She was a recommendation student for a reason. She'd be slow, methodical, check every angle for her strategy. So naturally, they were confused when after a few minutes, nobody had walked through the door.

Meanwhile, Yuga sat patiently and waited on the ground floor as Momo piloted the drone from outside, peeking through the windows to find the bomb. "Bomb is on the 4th floor, 3rd door to the right. Be careful, it looks like they used Mineta's balls to try and trap us." She said through her earpiece.

"Compris." Yuga whispered, making his way up to the fourth floor, before taking a deep breath and taking cover. "In position." he whispered.

"What are they waiting for?" Mineta whispered, having heard Yuga walk up stairs but then seemingly stop.

"Um... Mineta?" Ochako squeaked. "Can your balls stop a flashbang from going off by any chance?"

"No, not if it's already primed, why?" Mineta asked, looking where Ochako was pointing and spotting the primed flashbangs that were just launched by a drone. "Oh fu-"

RIIIIIIIIIIIIIING

With a flash of light, the flashbangs went off, giving Yuga plenty of time to use his navel laser to propel himself forward and touch the bomb.

"Time! Well done all four of you! Come back to the observation deck for discussion!"

After Action Report

"Once again, well done to all of you! Both teams had well thought out plans and executed them perfectly!" All Might praised with his trademark grin and a thumbs up.

"But... we lost." Mineta pointed out, confused. "How was our plan executed perfectly if it didn't even work?"

While All Might was about to answer, Izuku beat him to it. "Just because a plan doesn't work doesn't mean it wasn't a good plan. You guys had accounted for Yuga coming in first while Momo stayed behind to assess the situation. The only flaw your plan had was not accounting for Momo's ability to make drones for aerial based combat."

"Quite right, young Midoriya!" All Might praised, kneeling down to put a hand on Ochako and Mineta's shoulder. "Never be discouraged because a plan does not work. Use the failure of a plan to come up with new ways of attack. You both did well. Do not beat yourself up over this."

Both students bowed, feeling much better about their loss. "Yes, All Might."

"That being said, I do believe the MVP for this exercise goes to young Yaoyorozu. Your plan accounted for your opponents Quirks and gave your teammate the perfect opportunity to use their Quirk to save the day. All four of you, full marks!"

All four students grinned at the praise and sat down with their class as the next four students got to their feet.

"Ah yes, match number 2! Misharao Ejiro and Tenya Iida vs Izuku Midoriya and Mina Ashido! Make your way to the mock city and begin your preparations!"

Pinky and The Brain

"Alright, how do you wanna handle this, Izuku?" Mina asked, stretching as the verdette thought.

"Can you control how acidic your acid is?" Izuku asked.

"Of course I can, why do you- ohhhhh." Mina smirked, realizing exactly what her classmate was thinking. If the floor was covered in acid, even if it wasn't necessarily acidic, it would still be extremely slippery, which would completely nullify any advantage Tenya and Ojiro would have with their Quirks. And since Mina was used to sliding around on her acid, she'd have the advantage movement wise. "But what about you?"

Izuku grinned, tapping his Morpher. "Simple. I'm the distraction."

The Distraction

"Heroes may enter the building!" All Might yelled.

As Tenya and Ojiro entered the building, their progress was immediately stopped by Izuku.

Who was wearing the Black Lion Warrior armor.

"Face me if you dare, heroes." Izuku growled, clearly taking his role of villain seriously and appropriately hamming it up.

Within the Morphin Grid

Theo watched Izuku with a frown. He trusted Casey and all, but he'd be lying if he said he didn't attribute some bad memories to that armor. "Are you sure he's ready for that?" He asked skeptically.

Jarrod sighed. "Theo, I understand. I really do. The things Dai Shi made me do with that armor..." He shook his head. "But it's not his Lion Spirit. It was mine. And now it's Izuku's. If there's anyone that I have faith in attributing something good to my spirit, it's that kid. Besides, it's not like I gave him the Phantom Beast armor. That died with Dai Shi."

The Duel

"Tenya, you go on ahead. I'll take Izuku." Ojiro said, crouching into a fighting stance before launching himself at Izuku who swiftly dodged, landing a well placed kick to Ojiro's ribs.

"Not good enough, little hero!" Izuku yelled, his strikes becoming more and more aggressive as the fight went on, forcing Ojiro to go on the defensive.

However, the issue here was that while Izuku was in this form, he had all of Jarrod's knowledge as a fighter, meaning he was quite literally fighting as Jerrod in his prime, while Ojiro was still improving, his Tail Quirk meant that he could easily keep up with Izuku, meaning this was going to be a battle of attrition.

Fast and Furious

Tenya meanwhile was in a rough battle of his own. He had found the bomb like he had hoped, but the slippery goo that covered the floor was like ice, forcing the Engine user to constantly slip and slide around the room.

"HEY BUDDY!" Mina yelled, sliding through her acid with ease, sprinting towards Tenya full on.

There was nothing he could do, Mina had the advantage here and almost immediately slapped the capture tape on his wrist.

"Well played." Tenya bowed as Mina helped him out of the slimy area.

"Tenya Iida has been Eliminated!"

Tag Team

After the pink skinned girl escorted Tenya out of the building, she ran around the building, trying to find her teammate.

Finally, she found him and Ojiro still going at it and it was ruthless. Not ruthless in the sense that they were seriously injuring one another, but ruthless in the sense that neither were giving the other an inch. Every kick, every punch, every strike was batted away with technical precision, almost looking more like a physically demanding form of chess. However, Mina could use that to her advantage.

See, with the two martial artists fighting so hard, it meant that the two had tunnel vision. They were only focused on each other. Which meant that all Mina had to do was get the capture tape on Ojiro and they won. Simple enough.

She broke into a dead sprint, noticing that Izuku was purposefully maneuvering so that Ojiro's back was always facing Mina. He knew she was there, and was trying to give her every advantage he could.

Finally, Mina leapt into the air, jumping over Ojiro's tail as she slapped the capture tape onto the martial artist.

"AND TIME! Villain team wins!"

After Action Report 2: Electric Boogaloo

"Well done all of you! Tenya, your speed made you perfect for scouting which room had the bomb, but you need to work on looking before you run. If you had taken the time to look before you ran in, you might have found a way to avoid Young Ashido's acid. As for you, Young Ojiro. You are a talented fighter, we all clearly see that, but you must work on that situational awareness. Be aware of not just what's in front of you during a fight." All Might said.

"Yes, sir." Both students said with a bow.

"Now then, can anybody tell me who the MVP for this match is?"

It was Jiro who raised her hand. "It has to be Izuku. It was his plan that secured them the victory, and his fighting prowess ensured that Mina wasn't forced into a 2-on-1 situation." She said, giving the verdette a rare smile, though he shook his head, much to her shock.

"I disagree. I think it should be Mina. I made the plan, sure, but it was working under a lot of assumptions. I assumed that I could goad Ojiro into a one on one fight, I assumed that Mina's acid could be slippery enough to stop Tenya from being an issue. The only reason it worked as well as it did was because of Mina."

"Well, why don't we put it to a vote? Who thinks Young Midoriya should get MVP?"

Half of the classes hands went up.

"Oh boy. And for Young Ashido?"

The other half of the classes hands went up.

"I honestly don't know what I was expecting. It's a tie! Full marks to all of you again, well done! Now, who's next?"

Woof! If there is ever a time to show that I'm not all that great at fight scenes, it's this one. Regardless, I hope you all enjoyed what I think is the longest chapter so far? Next chapter will be the final 3 matches so that'll probably be the longest, but I'm going to try to speed them along as best I can.

Now, lets address the elephant in the room: The Lion Armor.

Why can Izuku use the Lion Armor if that armor technically isn't a Power Ranger?

The simple answer is, I thought it was cool.

The long, lore heavy reason is that it's not just the Rangers who volunteered their knowledge and power. Why wouldn't reformed villains add their power into the Morpher as well? That being said, there are some rules to this.

1. It HAS to be a reformed villain. Izuku's not going to be running around morphing as the Psycho Rangers or anything like that.

2. They HAVE to be human or at least can shapeshift into a human.

3. They MUST have an alt form. This is the big one. It's why Izuku can use the Lion Armor and why he'll be able to use things like Snyde's armor/Hekyll's lightning and Camille's Chameleon form.

That out of the way, we have some new reviews as well!

Zorgon873: Loving the story I'm a big fan of power rangers. Any chance we will see any of the super Sentai rangers

Unfortunately, no. This is not because I dislike Super Sentai at all, I'm just not as familiar with it as I am Power Rangers and as such, I'm afraid I'd be doing the Sentai Community a disservice. Maybe one day!

SparkySparkpaw: In all honesty, I kinda wanna see the TMNT rangers and maybe even some of the MMPR variations from other comics, like their mutant forms, their godzilla/kaiju forms, and maybe even their forms from the MMPR Usagi Yujimbo

To be honest I'm... not sure I'm going to do this for the same reason I'm not doing Super Sentai. The crossover stuff in comics never really interested me that much, as I'm far more interested in the ongoing narrative and not the one off crossovers. I'm not saying they're bad by any means, it's just not something I've ever been interested in, that's all!

Next time, we wrap up the Battle Trials!
