Shitori Souna Diary

Rias ambushed me today. She burst into my student council room and told me that she found someone with a sacred gear. My heart dropped at that. Did she mean Max? Max was my friend and I don't want Rias to take him from me. I opened my mouth to begin arguing with her, but she spoke up first.

"Isane has a sacred gear."

I let out a sigh of relief. Isane? Rias could take her. Maybe Rias can even temper Isane and get her to stop molesting people. I told her that as well. Though I kept my thoughts about Max to myself.

Rias was thanking me for my support when an alarm went off on my phone. I checked what it was for before quickly putting my things away. Rias frowned at me for a moment before she smiled at me.

"Is it time for your meeting?" She asked me.

Yes. It was time for my meeting with Max. He asked everyone in the class to sign up to meet with him every Friday. I quickly made my way to my classroom and found him waiting there for me.

"Hello, Shitori-san." Max said with his smile that made me give him one in return. He may not be a great teacher, but he was a great friend. "Can you tell me how you feel about me?"

I, obviously, told him the truth. I thought that he was a slightly worse than average teacher, but he was a great person.

He smiled at that and asked me a few more questions. "How old are you? Who is your best friend?" and the hardest one to answer, "Tell me a secret that you wouldn't want any other human to know."

The first two were easy to answer, but the last one. After a couple moments of hesitation. I walked over to the door, locked it, and blocked the window. After I was done I walked over to him, looked him in the eye, and asked him to trust me.

Then I let my wings out. I explained to him that I was a devil, my real name, and everything else. He sat there, patiently and listened to the whole thing and when I was done he pulled out his phone and looked at it for a minute, and then turned back to me.

"Sona-san, I think that you should go by your real name instead of your fake name. It won't be that big of a change and besides, I think that it's cuter."

I mumbled that I would think about it, and he sent me off. Tsubaki entered after I left for her own meeting.
