An old beat-up car pulls into the parking lot and a woman wearing a light lavender uniform under her jacket walking through the large metal gates with 'Arkham Asylum' sprawled across the top. She looked at the large castle like prison where all the criminally insane and dangerous people in Gotham were being held in. Nobody in their right mind would ever think about working at this kind of place if you want a death wish from what she was told when she applied here. Going up the steps a security guard stops her to wave a wand around her for any weapons as a protocol for many break outs by the henchmens or the criminals themselves. "Roxa Anderson. Good luck." said the guard giving her id badge back to her. "I get that a lot." said Roxa going to the infirmary floor. She walked down many halls looking around when a patient with red hair walked out of the lounge room spotted her. "New here?" said the woman. "Infirmary Floor." said Roxa. "Straight down make a left and take the elevator to the third floor up. Cant miss the office." said the woman. "Thank you. Im Roxa. Your new nurse." said Roxa reaching her hand out. "Nice to meet you. Im Pamela also known around her Poison Ivy." said the woman shaking her hand. "No touching or interacting with the patients." said the guard. "Thats what my mom said when i found my first python in a dumpster. Two more with an albino crocodile and here i am." said Roxa smiling at him. "Just get to your post." said the guard. "Ass." she mumbled as Ivy left to her cell. Roxa took the directions that Pamela gave her finding where she was looking for getting to the office seeing the other nurses who were barely doing anything while she took off her jacket and placed her bag on her chair. "Hello. Now here the main rules to every staff member here. Don't be friends with the patients. they will crush you or end up like Harley. Never leave the patient with any equipment or the keys. Never lose our keys and most im importantly. Dont die." said the male nurse handing her the ring of keys with each one in different colors. "Here is the chart of which key goes where." he says hand her a laminated card. "Thanks." said Roxa putting it on her pocket. She then looped the keys with own keys to her apartment along with the locks to the cages of her pets. "So what made you want to work here?" said one of the female nurses. "I lived in Gotham long enough to get used to the criminal activity and some people i met find me weird for owning three pythons and a crocodile that is the size of my arm. Why not put my nursing skills to use." said Roxa. "Also it helps boost up my rent since my little sister is living with me." said Roxa. "Why?" said the first nurse. "Divorce and busy with their jobs so i stepped in." said Roxy. "Im Gina." said the first nurse. "Josh." said the male nurse. "Britney." said the second female nurse.
Time past as an injured patient was dragged in by the guards with the infamous batman following behind to make sure they wont pull anything before he left. "The Joker. Oh joy." said Britney. "Be careful with him." she says to Roxa who got up with her clipboard approaching the Joker who was placed on the bed roughly getting a small laugh out of him. "Alright i got it from here." said Roxa. "Be sure that he has his jacket on him once youre done." said Batman. "Oh lighten up Batsy. you gotten me good but my mind is still turning the wheels." said the joker. Roxa sat him to sit up taking his purple jacket off and the rest of his layers leaving him shirtless seeing the bruises and cuts on him as Batman left to talk to Commissioner Gordan. "Looks to me that you need some stitches. Gina. Joker need some stitching." said Roxa. "O two nurses. At least i got myself a looker." said Joker glancing at Roxa. "You do realize that im the one who will be handling the needles, right?" said Roxa looking at him. "i like pain. Its funny." said Joker. "Depends on one point of view." said Roxa as Gina came with the tray and left. "Gina?" said Roxa making her stop. "Right.' said Gina coming back grabbing a cotton ball to clean off the blood. She handed the scissors to Roxa who was done with the first stitch then continued with the rest with Joker humming. "After are you going to my sponge bath? Ah!" said Joker after roxa 'accidently' moved the needle. "Sorry. First day." sad Roxa not really meaning it. "Uh huh." said Joker as they were done with him. Gina handed him the uniform for all patients leaving him alone to change as Roxa wrote Joker down like any other patients before her timer went off on her phone. "Going home." said Britney. "Yeah and make dinner for six." said Roxa grabbing her jacket and her bag. She went back to the way she came in heading to her car getting to a small house seeing a girl holding her backpack with a man beside her. Honk. Honk. The girl jogged to Roxas car with the man watching getting in before going back to his home with his family. "How was the first day?" said the girl. "Slow but i met Joker even stitched him up." said Roxa. "Okay. Did you see Batman?" said the girl. "Yes. Micky.' said Roxa. "Do we have enough rats for Ichi, Rebel, and Medusa?" said Roxa. "i think so." said Mickey. "We'll figure something out." said Roxa driving home.
They got to their apartment that was at the basement level of the building going inside quickly before any happens since its more dangerous crime activity at night. Roxa went to thespare room to be greeted by a white crocodile the size of her arm running to her like a dog chirping by her feet. "I know i missed you too, Zira. Im going to your food along with your siblings." said Roxa scratching her head. "Let get our food out." said Mickey from her room. "Zira is out." said Roxa as the crocodile walked out going to the living area. She walked to the kitchen opening the fridge grabbing a container from the bottom bins containing the rats and pinkies inside heading back to the lizard room. "I know Rebel. Be patient like your sister and brother." said Roxa taking the tongs to hand a rat to the black python named Rebel in her glass tank. She moved over to a cabinet with aMojave Albino Pied slither out of their home towards Roxa flickering her tongue. "HI Ichi." said Roxa kissing tier snout before handing them a rat too. "Medusa. Wake up. Its dinner time." she says taking the rat out only to have a Blue-Eyed Leucistic come out snatching it from the tongs. "Someones been hangry." said Roxy walking away to put their food back in the fridge. She saw Mickey set up the stove to cook their meat after Zira was chowing down on raw chicken close by. "Zira almost went for our dinner but i threw her a drumstick and two breasts." said Mickey. "No kidding. Let me handle this while you make the salad on whatever we have." said Roxa taking her place on the stove. Mickey pulled out the lettuce and other veggies they got inside cutting them up after washing them then set up their plates while Zira climbed on the couch to nap. "Im going to make a list on what we need for tomorrow. You have work?" said Mickey looking at her from their white board hanging by the fridge. "Not until five." said Roxa flipping the meat over. "I can have Molly and her mom help me out on the list." said Mickey. "Okay but you need to bring the pepper spray. Don't want you getting kidnapped like before. Bang! Crash! "Wait here." said Roxa grabbing a knife walking out of the apartment slowly walking up the stairs. She didnt see anything but tracks of footprints but didnt look human from the claws and looked around carefully when her eyes found a pair of glowing yellow eyes staring back at her. "Zira! No!" said Mickey seeing her going out the door where Roxa is. "Relax im coming." said Roxa walking back downstairs. She moved Zira away from the door locking it and headed back to the kitchen to find the stove was turned off and the meat was placed in a plate at their table. They started eating and relaxed in the living room with Zira cuddling with Micke and Roxa on the couch watching the Gotham news for anything or one they should be concerned about.
