Shield Hero, Proof Of Concept Fanfics

A place where proof of concept or very short shield hero fanfics I wrote go to, may revisit them in the future or maybe not. Either way this is just a place where I can put them in, feedback is very much appreciated but depending on my own personal difficulty in writing the story I may never continue (feel free to use these as templates for your fanfics if you're interested)

Round two, a few more marvel and DC characters this time. Hope you can all give me your most detailed thoughts on these and the previous ones, this is shorter but I think some of these are worth discussing

Ant man would be broken but also kind of complicated to write, he can shrink in size and grow into a giant not to mention his ability to command ants. But with his shrinking ability it becomes hard for enemies to hit him but also how exactly would I write his fight scenes? It's not like he would gain attack when shrinking and if I take his status to scale with his size then his giant form would be powerful but his ant size form would be weak as hell, while I really like the first Ant-Man Movie I don't really know how best it is to approach the character in the fantasy setting, he works well in the support role but I personally don't know how Hank or Scott would act within the setting.

Blade works best as the sword hero, problem is that shield hero barely has a structure for what the other heroes do in the narrative when they aren't influencing the shield hero's own narrative, he fits the setting and his vampire powers are cool I find it hard to motivate myself to write him as some characters click more easily to me than others (maybe this will change once his game comes out, I am excited for that.)

Blue Beetle's scarab would count as an outside weapon, part of his body or a separate entity? Because the shield can be very annoying for what counts as a violation of its rule or not, without the scarab he isn't Blue Bettle. The other Blue Bettle is a similar thing as without his gadgets it could be limiting or feel too similar to my Batman fanfic

Captain Mar-vel is not Carol Danvers, I am revering to the one with the power bracelets that switch the wielder with Captain Marvel. Could be interesting but confusing as Mar-vel would be the one fighting while the shield hero would be floating in the negative zone fight for his life, but much better than writing Carol Danvers (I don't like her character, Civil War 2 single handling made me despise her and the Marvels didn't help my view on her)

Doctor Strange is too powerful for the verse as he knows many types of magic that would not be restricted by the shield's own magic, I have seen plenty of fanfics where outer forms of magic can overpower or overrule the shield hero status magic so why would it be different with doctor Strange? There was an old fanfic about doctor strange but it was Naofumi as the sorcerer supreme, so its just Naofumi with a different set of clothes and extra powers

Firestorm is overpowered simply due to matter manipulation and nuclear fusion, he can change the molecular/atomic structure of any inorganic object or substance which is kind of overpowered as he could turn balloon scrap into gold, also he can fly so there goes the narrative, double personalities are interesting for internal monologue but there is also the fact his head is on fire, so I think everyone would react by screaming.

Iron fist has the problem that other characters from the likes of fighting games have, which is the fact that the shield limits your attack to 1 and that it prohibits you from using martial arts, so any character with a unique fighting style gets screwed over this rule immediately. So only way for this to work is removing those limitations, because someone only known for his fighting skills being unable to fight makes them kind of lose their identity.

Luke Cage makes for a great choice actually, his powers are perfect for the setting as he has impenetrable skin and super strength, which the status would probably make him start off with like 500 defense or something, plus he would still have super strength but cause 1 one damage, mugger comes up and he is thrown flying across fifty feet but doesn't take any damage from the punch. Understanding the character enough to write him in a comfortable way is my biggest problem currently(any Luke Cage fan please send me a good summary of his character and maybe I'll write it). And the fact that condemning him of a false rape accusation without giving him a chance to defend himself, everyone turning their backs on him while demonizing Luke for what he is associated with and that he has no control over sounds... Racist as fuck, like the heroes and everyone else would just feel like the most racist people alive for how they would treat him, just remember how Naofumi was treated, but now is a black man being called devil and negated access of basic service or decency, with no one wanting to do business with him while assuming the worst, it's pretty bad. Plus if the heroes don't pick up on this they are so incredibly dumb, like being skipped over by the king and treated like a bother with the next day having no one join him, I mean come on.

Squirrel Girl looks like a demi human so it could be interesting but she is female so THAT pivotal point of the plot(the trial) is gone and she is just too strong for the verse, can't see anyone beating her and thus we wouldn't have a plot (works best as a comedic fanfic other than an angst filled revenge story.)

Any other Bat family member would feel like a repeat of Batman despite how interesting their mentality would be, at best I can try a Supersons fanfic but I would rather focus on the Batman and Superman fanfics individually

Morbius is more of a meme than anything but if I were to write it, I would have him kill Malty during her attempt to steal him in the first night, with Michael feeling immense regret as his hunger got the better of him, with that along with his vampiric tendencies would lead to a interesting plot as the general populace would actually have a reason to fear and hate the shield hero, while it would be more of a redemption story and could be interesting. I just don't feel like writing an angst filled story with Morbius

Moon Knight could be reworked to fit in the shield hero world as I don't see him fitting the other weapons aside from maybe the bow, but writing Moon Knight could be very confusing and the narration type is very important to get right, plus I don't know if he would be as interesting as Batman which I already have an fanfic.
