Tony's eyes lit up. "Of course we would. It'll be like old times." The other Avengers have never seen Tony show such emotion. Except for Rhodey, T'Challa, Loki, Peter, and Thor that is.Rhodey smiled at Tony. He always knew Tony had a brother. He told him in their college days, he'd always tell him stories about him and his Older brother Bruce, but he wouldn't have guessed that Tony's big brother was none other than BRUCE WAYNE of all people.
Natasha couldn't understand how half of her teammates seemed to have a connection with Batman and his family. More importantly they kept it a secret. Normally she could tell if someone was hiding something, but this time was different. It was like she knew something was off, but at the same time it was like her mind was telling her she was overthinking things and she shouldn't read into anything. Just relax and everything will fall into place when the time is right.
The more she tried to figure it out the more her head hurt. She turned towards Clint who was sitting next to her. He shared the same look she had. "Something's going on around here?" Clint looked at how Tony and Bruce interacted. They acted like they were very close. He'd never seen Tony so vulnerable. It was like he was a kid, but in a good way. He was energetic and enthusiastic. Something he's never seen in the playboy billionaire.
It was strange, but at the same time it looked like this was Tony. The real Tony that nobody got to see. The softer side that was hidden away for nobody to see. Until now that is. He wondered. What made him show this side all of a sudden? Why now and here of all places?
Clint pondered for a moment. "I'll have to do some spying." He said to himself. Sam was also watching the two billionaires chatting. He didn't think much of it. Tony Stark was an arrogant playboy billionaire who only cared about himself and from what he's heard Bruce Wayne was the same way.
Soon all the Avengers were coming up with their own conclusions and none of them were true. Except for T'Challa, Rhodey, Thor, and Loki's. They all smiled at the two brothers and Loki filled Rhodey in on everything they knew about the secret and Rhodey promised not to say anything to the others until it was time.
Bruce smirked to himself. He overheard Loki explaining everything to Rhodey. He liked Rhodey. He could see why he was Tony's best friend. The man seemed to really care about his brother. He appreciated that a lot. Family is everything to Bruce and Tony. They don't trust people easily, so when they trust you. You must be someone special.
*In Peter's Room*
"It's so good to have you back home Bambi." Stephanie said, sipping on a cup of Apple Juice. Alfred had brought them another snack. With Peter's metabolism he had to eat A LOT more than the average person.
Peter always felt self conscious about how much he ate. So he wouldn't eat properly. When his family found he was eating properly. They thought he had an eating disorder. So they had an intervention until Peter told them what was wrong.
When they found out what it was. They assured him that there was nothing to be ashamed of. They even made a schedule for him. So that he would be getting a proper food intake from now on. Jason looked at his little brother. He was so happy he was home like everyone else was. " Hey Bambi I've been having a bit of trouble with my bike and I thought you'd like to help me. Maybe put some upgrades on it." Jason said with a smirk.
He knew Peter couldn't pass up an opportunity to spend time with his family. He loved his one on one bonding time with each one of his siblings. Ever since he was sent to New York they rarely saw each other. I mean yeah they FaceTimed and texted each other, but it wasn't the same as being together in person.
The Wayne kids talked, played games and watched movies. Like they used to. It was like Peter had never left.
