They had skipped school today and ran across the rooftops. All of the heroes expect for Chat Noir and Ryuko were standing together.
"We are going to scout the city for Zara and Zade." Ladybug declared. "If anyone finds them, you are not to act alone. Remain unseen and call in their position. Vesperia will be on standby to get a portal to their location to hopefully sting one. We want them quickly and without fuss. They already set off one bomb, they might have another."
Everyone nodded grimly. Ladybug sighed. "Don't get caught two on one with them if you can help it, they might be armed. Use the buddy system."
Everyone paired up and left across the rooftops. Ladybug approached her partner. "Are you sure about this, love? I thought you wanted to be out there, doing things."
Vesperia gave her a smile and a gentle kiss on the cheek. "I do, but right now I might be the one to do something foolish if I am. We can wait here with Peagasus."
The Horse hero smiled at them. "Don't worry. There is a Ninety-five percent chance we find them today."
Ladybug giggled. Shall we practice a little while we wait? No powers, to make it fair."Vesperia unwound her top. "You're on!"
Zoenette-October*
Adrien and Kagami burst into Tomoe's office. Tomoe looked up at the sound. Kagami paused; her mother looked like she had aged ten years over night.
"I see you heard." Tomoe sighed. "I swear, it was never my intention to hurt a hero. Gabriel was an old friend, and I did as he asked, even when I should not have."
Kagami scowled. "Mother, you nearly killed two of Paris heroes. The mayor is sending officers to arrest you and contact the Japanese embassy for formal action. You'll be deported likely before the week is over."
She sighed again. "I know, Kagami. I forgot about the boat, which I never should have made in the first place. Are you going to have my judgement questioned, to liberate yourself from me?"
Adrien took out a paper from a binder and handed it to her. It was written in braille. "This is a form where I am formally declaring my liberty, mother. I understand that means I'll be cut off and disowned. I don't care. As long as I can remain with Adrien and Marinette, that is all I care about."
The older woman frowned. "Friends disappoint you, Kagami. Lovers too. Gabriel did not warn me that when I used the Peacock to create you, it would hurt me. I survived, minus my sight. But you were the best decision I ever made. Very well, I won't make you choose between me and Adrien. I will sign the paperwork to allow you to stay in Paris with the intention of being Adrien's partner. But Kagami, before the news came about the boat, I made a terrible mistake."
"What mistake?" Adrien asked. "Maybe we can fix it."
"I gave Mister Lee the means to reclaim Zoe, so he can ward off the bad men that Audrey owes claiming his other daughter, Zara."
Kagami saw red even as her boyfriend beside her lost the color in his face.
"What kind of father barter's one daughter for another?" Adrien asked in anger.
"Oh Mother, why?" Kagami asked. "We need to let Marinette and Zoe know."
"I'm sorry. I was thinking I was doing right and then the news of the boat came in and now, all I can do is question my choices."
There was a loud knock on the door. Tomoe signed a paper. "Time for me to go. Farewell for now, my little dragon."
Kagami looked at her mother in awe. "What?"
"Did you not think I would not recognize the voice of my only child? Plus, you are using the same power our ancestor once held. The original Tomoe would be proud of you."
Kagami watched as Tomoe was taken into custody by Roger and his men. She went and sat down behind the desk.
"Mother has signed a statement confessing to all her crimes. She has named me, her innocent daughter, her successor of the company." Kagami told Adrien after reading it.
"Well, perhaps there is some good we can do with the company. Maybe we can stop the threat that is coming from Mister Lee?"
Kagami shook her head. "Not as Adrein and Kagami. But as Chat Noir and Ryuko? We can do some good. Let's go tell Marinette."

Mister Lee grinned as he stood with the twins in the warehouse on the outskirts of Paris. Let the heroes search the city, they were safely outside it. He looked at row upon row of drones, ready to receive their orders.
"Soon it will be show time, my children."
"Yes, father!" Both twins replied.
A/N: Another step towards the battle that is brewing. See you tomorrow.
