The next morning came all too soon. Zoe woke to the feeling of Pollen's tiny arms on the face. She burrowed deeper into the warm skin of her lover.
"Wake up, my queens." Pollen called. "The time for battle has come."
Zoe hated it, but she extracted herself from Marinette and went into the bathroom. The hot water went a long way to reviving her as she stood in it. Once she got out, she found Tikki and Pollen using a broom to tip a still-sleeping Marinette off the bed.
"Marinette, wake up and shower." Tikki scolded. "Unless you want to go to breakfast smelling like that."
Zoe giggled as Marinette shot up and ran for the shower. The last time she had gone to breakfast without a shower of one of their nights 'together', Chloe had mocked her mercilessly. Zoe did not mention she liked the way Marinette smiled the morning after.
Soon, both of them helped themselves with pastries and coffee from their favorite café. Kagami, Adrien, Maria, and Zia were all up. A portal open and Marissa stepped through.
"Did you manage to figure out your plans?" Marissa asked them.
Marinette nodded before affixing the Bull Miraculous to her nose. She was glad she did not need to pierce her nose to wear it. Maria was doing the same even as Zia, Zoe, and Adrien were slipping on the rings that Marc had made.
"I'm sorry, Kagami." Marc lamented. "We did our best but just couldn't make a fourth ring that passes muster."
"You did your best." Kagami patted his shoulder. "Thanks for trying."
Marc gave her a smile but Zoe noticed he was wobbling a bit as Nathaniel helped him head back to the room they were staying in for the weekend. She watched them leave in worry.
"He just needs some rest." Marinette soothed her. "I gave Nathaniel a healing potion I made from the grimoire to make sure Marc did not hurt himself. As long as they follow the directions on the label, Marc will be better in a few hours."
Zoe gave her a relieved smile. "Shame those potions wont be helping us out." She looked at the ring that was literally her life line. "Did Marc tell you if there were any limits to these?"
Marinette shrugged. "He seemed confident the combination of Shellter and Immunity should hold. The Shellter is limited to the ring itself, so you can still be knocked around by the scythes. Good thing the suits give us near invulnerability to most attacks."
Zoe nodded. "Try not to lose the ring, got it. Shall we go?"
Maria and Zia got up, along with Marissa. Mariss help out her arm. "Come, my Kamiko."
She was Kamikotized and then cut a hole in reality and tucked her kamikotized object back in her world. Before the portal closed, Zoe saw Juleka appear in the portal and blow a kiss at Marissa. Marissa caught it and pressed it to her lips as the hole vanished.
"Tikki, Stompp! Unify!" Marinette called. She became Minobug.
"Plagg, Stompp! Unify!" Called Maria and she became Bull Noire.
"Pollen, buzz on!" Zoe called.
"Plagg, Claws out!" Cried Zia and Adrien.
"Immunity!" The gang called together and they felt the protection from magic flow over them.
"Remember, try to keep the Reapers from removing the source of your Immunity." Queen of Hearts reminded them as she opened a portal to Omni-tool. "Once they know you cannot be easily unmade, they will seek a means to undo that first. We use the buddy system, break into two groups of three."
Minobug nodded. "I'll take Vesperia and Chat Noir. We work well as a team." The three heroes from the same universe tapped their fists together. "If you all reach the akumatized object first, call us and try to hold out until we arrive."
Then a white burrow opened and Bunnyx stepped out. "Wait, I'm going to." She held up a hand with another Immunity ring on it. "I went a day in the future and had Marc make it for me."
They shared looks at each other. "Why didn't we think of that?" Bull Noire facepalmed.
"Just be careful, Alix. We don't know if the hivemind can drag you into it."
Bunnyx saluted. "I will not be fighting them. I'm going to see if I can discover what caused this in the first place. It's one thing to undo the damage, but if the source can be stopped as well, that would be best."
Vesperia clapped her hands together. "So we could possibly make it so it never happened. Good idea. But what if the source is a natural disaster or accident? Something you can't interfere with?"
Bunnyx shrugged. "That's a risk we will have to take. If I can't undo it, we can at least undo the akumatization and the damage caused and try and soothe me that was first turned."
Minobug nodded. "Alright, just be careful in there. Have you ear piece in and call for help if they somehow can reach you in the burrow."
Bunnyx smiled. "Will do, Minobug. Shall we go?"
The seven heroes stepped into the portal together. Vesperia smiled at her comrades in arms and knew she was in fine company.

They emerged from the portal and stood outside the Louve. The rest of Paris around it was a wasteland of ruined buildings and trash. But this one building stood safe from the carnage. The Time Reapers would not harm the place Alix had loved so much.
"Ok, I'm heading into the Burrow. Good luck, everyone." Bunnyx made a portal and vanished.
Vesperia was glad to have Alix in the Burrow. If something went wrong, she could open a portal and pull them into what was hopefully safety.
"Alright, once we are inside, we will split up." Queen of Hearts confirmed. "Sorry I could not just land us inside. Something was preventing me from doing so."
"It's alright. See you three later." Minobug, Chat Noir, and Vesperia waited while Queen of Hearts and the Kittens went in first.
"They'll be alright," Chat Noir told her as she watched them leave.
"Sorry, was my worry that obvious?" She blushed as she turned to look at the hero of destruction.
"It's obvious you care about both of them. After all, they are variants of yourself and your beloved. I would be concerned if you did not." Chat winked at her.
The three of them entered the Louve and headed for the shorter of the two routes to their destination. This was also likely to have the most Reapers patrolling it.
"Were you disappointed all the variants of Marinette have been lesbians so far, Chat?" Vesperia asked as they peaked around a corner together and saw a single Time Reaper.
Maria and Zia had described them, but they did not do the full effect justice. They still looked like Alix but with only skin over her very prominent bones. She wore a white and blue robe, not unlike her Bunnyx outfit. The Scythe was clearly made from her parasol which was her Miraculous tool. Also the Reapers did not walk on the ground. She floated, her bare and bony feet dangling out from the bottom of the robe. She looked every bit the Grim Reaper.
"Nah. I am sure there are universes out there were Marinette and I worked out, but it doesn't do to dwell on them. I'm happy with my Kagami. Even if it's not perfect, it's our love."
Zoe smiled. "I understand. Still, image if there was a universe where you and Kagami were fighting over Marinette."
Chat Noire snorted. "Bet I would lose. The dragon would find a way to win the Princesses hand if Marinette was into her. I'd enjoy seeing that battle."
Vesperia saw her partner roll her eyes at their banter. "Ready to face out first Time Reaper?"
Vesperia nodded, as did Chat. Minobug continued. "We don't need this one telling the others we are here. Think you can sting this one without alerting it?"
Vesperia gulped but readied her top. "I was practicing it, but have not used it in a fight."
She reached deep into herself and willed the limits of her Miraculous to break. She sets the rules…
She was washed with magic as her costume changed to represent her increase in power. She aimed her top at the Time Reaper and whispered.
"Venom! Remote Stinging!" She thrust her stinger out like a spear and the Reaper froze, a small yellow point appearing on it's neck.
"How long will this last?" Chat asked as the three of them stepped out to inspect the defeated Reaper.
"Until I or another bee holder choose to release it," Vesperia admitted.
"Handy." Hopefully, we can do the same for the next group we encounter.
They rounded a corner to find three Reapers, staring right at them.
"Or you could jynx us, Kitty." Minobug unwound her top.
"It was nice while it lasted." Vesperia readied her powers.
"Sorry!" Chat lifted his staff. "Let's do this!"

Queen of Hearts sighed as they were having similar luck. She had used Pollen's grimoire to stun the first two they had encountered with stealth. Then Lady Noire had tripped and fallen down a flight of stairs. Her other self, Maria she went by, had made quite a bit of noise on her way down.
"Are you alright?" Kitty Noire, Zia, had wailed softly as she rushed to her partner's side.
"Sorry, my natural klutziness." Lady Noire apologized. "I might be calling myself Maria, but I'm still Marinette. The Super suit can only account for so much Marinetteness."
Queen of Hearts giggled as she helped Lady Noire to her feet. "I do understand. My very first day as Queen of Hearts, I tripped on camera. The entire city got to watch it's protector cutely faceplant into the floor."
As she said this, Time Reapers started coming from all sides of them. "Looks like we are swapping to Plan Interference," Kitty growled. "Remember, don't let them touch you!"
They flipped and spun around, fighting defensively to keep the scythes from touching them. The moment one Reaper knew about the Immunity, all of them would. It would make removing anything that could be granting such a power their objective instead of simply unmaking them.
As the battle continued, with Queen of Hearts deflecting blows with Omni-tool, who was in greatsword form, she wondered what emotion these Alix's must have felt to turn them into creatures of nothingness.

Bunnyx arrived in the Burrow and was shocked to see only a single portal was left. She could tell from it's massive size this one would not fade.
"The me of this world must have been the one fueling this alterative timeline." Bunnyx realized. "The world is being forced to endure because she remains alive."
She floated to the portal and took control of it. She rewinded to the day before her variant was akumtized.

Alix stepped out of the burrow, handing a carrot to Fluff. She stumbled for a moment as a way of exhaustion hit her. A friendly voice called out from behind her.
"Be careful, Alix. Falling over randomly is my job!"
Alix turned to see Marinette hurrying towards her. She felt better seeing that bright face and eyes, even as the fears she had came knocking on her brain.
"Sorry, just a little tired." Alix apologized.
Marinette put her hands on her hips and pouted at her. "Do I need to pull rank as Guardian and make you take a rest? You can come out of the portals whenever you want. You can have all the time you need to rest, so why are you so worn out?"
Alix waved her hand. "Doing the job you asked of me, Guardian. Keeping up with the timeline is a tough task." Her lie rang hollow from her lips.
Marinette wrapped her arms around Alix and pulled her in close.
"What if I pulled rank as your lover?" Marinette purred in her ear.
Alix shuddered. "Yes, I would love to get some sleep next to you, my love."

Bunnyx was a little surprised as she froze on the image of her variant and Marinette locked in a passionate kiss. She skipped forward to watching herself climb out of bed, leaving Marinette to roll over into the spot she just left.

Alix entered the Burrow again, berating herself for allowing Marinette to catch her. She would return right before Marinette woke up. She scrolled through the portals, desperately looking for anything that could prevent 'it' from occurring.
She paused a portal on the scene of a car, running a light and ramming right into Marinette. This accident was going to happen in less than 24 hours. She could not stop it, it was not caused by a time traveler messing with the time line. What was worse, the world would not end with Marinette's death. It was set to continue on as if Marinette didn't matter. Alix punched the portal and swore loudly. She knew the rules she operated under. She must not change the course of time. To do so could cause endless problems.
She fell to her knees, sobbing as the thought of her beloved, her Marinette, being gone forever. She got up and keep looking. There had to be something, anything, that would allow her to act and save Marinette.

Bunnyx felt her heart hurt as she watched her variant trying to desperately find a way to save her love. This Alix had been dedicated to her mission, preserving the flow of time without interfering. But that very devotion was going to be her undoing. Bunnyx understood now. She fast forwarded to Marinette's funeral, Alix weeping openly next to the open casket.
She went back a little, to the moment after Marinette was hit.

Alix stood, rain soaking her to the bone. She looked down at a bleeding and broken Marinette. She wondered if she was crying or if the water on her face was just rain. Those bluebell orbs opened, but she could tell her lover was beyond seeing.
"Alix… is that you?" Marinette croaked as people panicked around them. Someone was calling emergency services.
"A car hit you as you crossed the street, my love," Alix said weakly as she fell to her knees beside her partner. "This has always been your fate. I worked so hard… trying to see if there was a way I could change it…"
Marinette reached up and cupped her cheek. "I'm so sorry, you had to bear the weight… of this. But nature must take… it's due. Alix, I loved you… so very much."
Alix leaned into the touch and knew she was crying now. "I love you too, Marinette. I love you for all time."
"Alix… I Marinette Dupain-Cheng renounce the Miracle Box. I name Alix Kubel the new Guardian."
Alix wanted to stop her, but she had seen this coming as well. The magic of changing owners would hasten the process of ending Marinette's life. She would never lose her memories, as she would not be alive to lose them.
The Miracle box appeared, changing into the shape of a white clock before it landed on her lap. She screamed openly as Marinette's eyes closed, one last time.

Bunnyx was crying but even as she did, she moved her hands to the portals. She had seen Bunnyx try every angle to find a solution. All save one.
"The car…" Bunnyx said between sobs. "She never checked the car that hit Marinette. I'll check it for her. Maybe it was an accident… but if it was not… Kwamis help the culprit."
A face swam into her vision. Someone petty enough to manipulate this entire situation to her advantage. Bunnyx was going to see if Lila Rossi of that universe had arranged Marinette's death.
"Hold on, Marinette." Bunnyx growled. "If I can, I'll get you out of that cold ground. I swear it."
*Zoenette-October*
Vesperia planted a kick in a Time Reaper as she spun away from the Scythe of another. The Time Reapers were slow, but then again you did not need speed when you could end a foe with a single touch.
"Really, Alix…" She spoke to the Reaper as she avoided another blow. "This power is just unfair!"
They had a few encounters since they were first discovered. Vesperia looked up at a Louve map and figured they must be about halfway to the location of the Akumatized item. She stung her foe before moving onto the next one, which Chat was fighting.
Soon, the three of them stood surrounded by stunned Reapers. Minobug handed her some food which she ate, willing the energy to Pollen. She felt her Kwami sigh in relief at the extra power. The rest, she used to top up her own reserves of power.
"So many of them," Chat complained as they continued down to the next floor. "I wonder how many other Butterfly users thought the same powers as the Reaper was a good idea, thus adding to the Hive Mind."
"I find it scary so many have had the same idea, yeah." Minobug admitted as they reached another door.
More Reapers waited for them beyond it. However, Vesperia could see the Egyptian exhibit beyond that, with the wall that she knew Bunnyx had once slept behind.
"This is it." Vesperia sighed in relief. She reached up to her earpiece. "Vesperia to Kitty, come in?"
The message returned crystal clear. "Hey, Vespi. Good timing, we just cleared a fight. How are you doing?"
"We just reached the destination. There is a big force of Reaper's waiting for us. Where are you guys?"
The reply came back. "We are trying a short cut, with our powers. Once we get directly above the area, we'll drop down and join the battle."
Minobug and Chat sighed in relief as they too had heard the message.
"Minobug…" Came Bunnyx's voice from the radio. "I am going to need some time. I think I might have a solution to erase this event completely. Can you hold off on throwing the cure for just a little bit?"
Minobug nodded. "I'll buy as much time as I can, but if one of us is in danger of being erased, I'm throwing the cure."
There was a pause. "I understand. I'll loop time to give me more if needed. I think this is possible. But if not, I'll call for you to throw the cure."
"Understood. Be careful, Bunnyx."
"No problem, Minobug. Bunnyx, out!"
Minobug threw her lucky charm and got a staff like Chat Noir's. "Let's show these Reapers how we dance."
Vesperia bowed as she readied her top. "I would love to dance with you, my love."
Chat winked at them. "Come on, ladies. Can't keep the Reapers waiting."
The three of them charged into some very confused Time Reapers.

Bunnyx set the portal to the car that had killed Marinette and followed it back to it's home. She watched as a woman got out of it and walked backwards into her house. She then moved all the way to when the car was last parked and started watching.
For hours of looped time, Bunnyz watched the car sit in the drive way, unmolested. This was about as exciting as watching paint dry. Right as she was reaching the end and thinking she would need to start again, she noticed a white portal appear next to the car. A figure dressed in white and blue stepped out.
Bunnyx swore loudly, that was not a Bunnyx. The Bunny holder was too tall and had a way too knowing smirk on her face. She watched the woman open the hood of the car.
Bunnyx opened a portal and stepped through it. She had a promise to keep, after all. And by using the Bunny Miraculous to commit her crime, whomever that villain was within the boundaries that allowed Bunnyx to tear her apart.

Queen of Hearts was panting as a Reaper's scythe bounced off her body. The Reaper froze, about to transmit this information. The magical girl growled as she stung the Reaper with Pollen's powers, just in the nick of time.
"We cannot keep them off us forever." She groaned as she fired a way of Venom at the rest of the Reapers, it passing harmlessly over the Kittens.
"How many more times can you do that wave of inaction?" Lady Noire asked as they continued to the room above the exhibit where their friends were fighting.
"That was the last time for today, I'm afraid. The grimoire magic works differently, as I have explained. I can prepare so many uses of the abilities I took from them, but I don't have unlimited slots to fill. I still have a few other powers left, plus some of them last awhile, like supplementation and immunity. But I already used those slots."
"It's like D !" Kitty exclaimed as they reached their destination. "I wonder if that is on purpose."
Queen of Hearts shrugged. "I am just grateful I don't have a warlocks slots then."
Lady giggled. "We should get Ladybug and do a game sometime. Would be interesting."
"Chaotic, is the word you're looking for." Queen of Hearts amended.
"Ready to join the real battle?" Bull Noire asked as she charged her ring hand with negative energy.
"Oh yeah!" Kitty readied her staff.
"Do it." Queen of Hearts winked at her variant.
Bull Noire placed her hand on the floor, and it crumbled away and the three girls dropped down to join the battle below.

The portal Bunnyx opened did not take her to the Bunny holder. Instead, she appeared in Alix's room. She had gone through the timestream and found the moment that the Rabbit Miraculous had been stolen and returned too before Alix had even known it was gone. This rogue Bunny was far too clever for her own good.
Bunnyx wasted no time smashing the girl over the head, right before she could grab the watch. Not hard enough to kill, just hard enough to knock her out. She quietly opened a portal and took the victim away with her, leaving Alix and Fluff resting and unaware of the reversion to the correct flow of time.
She stepped back into the Burrow and glared down at the girl, who was Lila as she had guessed.
"Well, you went to a lot of trouble to kill Marinette. I could prevent you from learning the other me is Bunnyx. But I have a better idea."
She opened a new portal and dropped Lila through it. Her moral code would not allow her to kill Lila, or even put her in an impossible-to-survive position. But… well the multiverse was vast. She dropped Lila into a very special portal.

When Queen of Hearts and the Kittens came crashing down from above, Vesperia felt hope. However, the longer they fought without word from Bunnyx concerned her. They had been backed up to the wall, which they had destroyed with cataclysm. There, laying on a pedestal, was a purple miracle box.
"They akumatized the Miracle box?" Minobug said in horror. "No wonder Time Reaper was so powerful."
They had been glanced a few times with the Scythes now, and the Reapers were trying to grab things they were wearing to get rid of their Immunity. It was just a matter of time.
"We need to stop the fight." Minobug declared. "Kitty, as it was your reality that first fell, you have the honors."
Kitty Noire beamed at the defacto leader and used her powers to destroy the akumatized box. The Time Reapers all froze and changed back into many very confused Alix's.
One of them, however, fell to her knees and slammed her fists into the floor. "Damn, it… using my pain against me. Damn you Hawk Moth!"
"Are you the Alix of this world?" Queen of Hearts asked her.
The Alix looked up, as if just noticing the other heroes. "Yes… did you all come from other realities to save us?"
They all nodded. "Our own Alix said she found a way to erase this event from history. We are waiting on her now." Vesperia explained.
She saw her partner purify the Akuma but did not throw the Cure just yet.
"I lost my love…" The Alix of this universe said, earning sympathetic looks from everyone, especially the other Alix's. Died in an accident I could do nothing about. I… what have I been doing that required a Strikeforce of Marinette's and two Zoe's to stop me?"
The other Alix's were nodding, also confused.
"You were wiping out timelines," Bunnyx said as she stepped out of the Burrow. "Whenever someone got the idea to make a Time Reaper, they would be pulled into the hive mind, whatever akumatized object used would be nullified and they would be a part of the box that was destroyed. Your desire for oblivion caused this, other me."
Alix cried. "I miss her so much, I wish I could join her…"
"No need." A voice said from the Burrow. Vesperia saw a Marinette with a pixie cut a step out of the white portal.
Alix got up and rushed forward to cling to Pixie-cut. "How? How are you alive?"
"Because," Bunnyx explained. "In your fear and grief, you overlooked very hard-to-see details. Lila had stolen your Miraculous for a mere couple of seconds. She used it to rig the breaks on a car she knew was going to stop before hitting your Marinette. She made sure that the car would succeed in crushing her. Because she used time travel, I have stopped her plan. When Minobug throws her cure, all of this will be erased. Those of us in the Burrow will remember."
She waved for Vesperia and the others to enter the Burrow. Minobug waited for the Kittens and Queen of Hearts to enter before doing the same.
Before joining them, Vesperia heard Bunnyx tell herself. "You should take a different Miraculous. Appoint a new timekeeper who has no lover to blind them. Stay by Marinette's side for all the days you can."
"Thank you, other me. I'll do that." She saw another Alix hug the Marinette of her world. "I'm sorry."
"Don't be." Bunnyx laughed. "We all make mistakes when it comes to love. See you another time, maybe."
Once they were all safely in the Burrow, Minobug threw the Cure.

If only they could have seen it. The full being that is Tikki, goddess of creation, manifested. She was made up of every Tikki in existence and could see the dark places in herself. Uncountable Ladybugs flew out from the goddess and swarmed the planes, restoring all the Time Reapers had reaped in the name of their pain.
Tikki called up an image of the champions, sharing a fist bump.
"WELL DONE, MARINETTE." The Goddess Tikki smiled. "ALL THINGS BROUGHT BACK INTO BALANCE."
The Goddess glowed before she released her manifestation, the multiverse saved once again. For now, anyway.

The group slumped in the Burrow, this time in the universe that Marinette and Zoe belonged to. They had all dropped their transformations and were feeding their Kwami, or in the case of Marissa, her Kamiko.
"What about Omni-tool?" Marinette asked, as she gave Tikki a cookie.
"Oh, I clean her regular and let her bathe in some WD-40 once a month. Other than that, she does not need to feed at all." Marissa smiled as she responded.
Zoe saw Zia and Maria, floating on their backs, hands interlocked.
"So, did it work?" Zoe asked.
Tikki nodded as she ate her cookie. "Yes! It was a success. All the timelines that were wiped out have been restored. Even yours, Zia."
Zia looked nervous at that. Maria sat up. "I've been thinking. You said you never really fit in back in your world?"
Zia nodded. "That's true. I always felt like I didn't belong there."
"Well, the Zoe of my world either never existed or died young." Maria explained. "How about we send your Plagg back to your world and you be my Ladybug holder. We lost our Adrien and could use the help."
Zia smiled sadly at the ring. "I'll really miss Plagg.. but I would miss you more, Maria." She looked at her Plagg for permission.
"Follow your heart, Kitten." The Plagg told her. "The Marinette of our world will do for a holder."
Zia hugged him before Queen of Hearts opened a portal. Zia dropped the ring into a familiar-looking bed. The portal closed and Queen of Hearts opened another.
"Do you really have to go now?" Zoe asked the Kittens. "Why don't you come and celebrate with us first?"
They shook their heads. "No, we need to return to our world," Maria explained. "But perhaps our paths will cross again. Farewell, Zoe and Marinette. Maybe your love lasts as long as ours."
They all hugged before Maria and Zia disappeared into the portal. Queen of Hearts opened a new portal for herself.
"I must get back too. I need to check on Rose's condition. I'm sure we will meet again, my friends."
After another round of hugs the Queen of Hearts stepped into the portal. Zoe could see her arrive on the Liberty and head for Juleka's room right as it closed.
"Well, shall we get back to the hotel?" Marinette asked her.
Zoe nodded and looked at Alix. "But wait, what happened to Lila?"
Bunnyx grinned as she opened a portal for them to return to the Hotel. "Oh, don't worry about her. I don't think we will be seeing that Lila again."
They left through the portal and all three went to take a very long nap.

Vampire Queen Marinette was feeding from Lila's neck. Lila was whimpering so cutely as she drank from her veins.
Vampire Queen Zoe sat on her throne, watching her lovely wife devouring the girl. "Don't forget to raise her as your personal feeding thrall, my love. I do love when your variants send us naughty Lila's to punish, pet."
Alix, a vampire as well, moaned at her queen's praise. "They send us such lovely gifts, my mistresses."
Marinette looked up from her meal, licking the red from her lips. "Indeed, they do. And she won't really die, so no hit to the morales of the Alix. I love it." She went back to her meal.
