Hello Everybody!

I know it's only been, like, two days since I posted the last chapter, (and I haven't gotten even ONE review *silently weeps about it*) but I decided to write a second chapter, because they're so fun to make! (and because I'm not patient AT ALL). Hooray for a new chapter!

For those of you who love, love, love Sokeefe, I hope I did you proud! I promise it will be better than my first chapter! (I was rushed doing it...)

Anyway, I'll stop ranting and let you get reading. Enjoy! :)

Keefe walked into his favorite ditching spot, only being freed from The Universe a few minutes earlier. He was relieved to be free from his mentor's boring lecture. But now he was stuck in a room doing nothing….Why could he never escape boredom?!

He wished Foster was with him. With her it was always an adventure!

He smiled at the thought, but it faded as he saw the figure before him, in a ball on the floor, sobbing uncontrollably.

"Foster? What are you doing here?" Keefe asked, "I thought you said you'd never ditch."

She looked up at him with sad brown eyes and didn't answer. Hurt and embarrassment radiated off of her in hot waves.

He waved his hand in front of his face and tried to make her feel better, "That's a lot of emotions you're feeling Foster." This seemed to make it worse and Sophie put her head back in her hands, crying harder.

"Hey, It's okay…" Keefe sat down beside her and touched her arm, "Do you want to talk about it?"

He felt faint surprise in her at his touch, but she was also comforted by it, just a little.

She sniffed, lifted her head up, and said, "Lady Galvin hates me."

"Well that's not a surprise Foster, she hates everyone!" He wondered if that was really the case.

"She said that I was an incompetent child for messing up her cape again, and gave me a low grade. Midterms are next week, I can't afford to fail!" She started crying again, harder than ever.

Keefe hated to see her like this; believing she wasn't good enough. Keefe did the only thing he could think of to make her feel better. He wrapped his arms around her, and held her against himself.

Sophie stiffened and felt awkward at first, but after a few moments she leaned into him, and continued to quietly sob on his chest.

Keefe sat there with Sophie, stroking her hair until she calmed down, physically and emotionally.

He made no movement to pull away, and neither did Sophie.

He instead said, "All right Foster, I know this isn't just about Lady Galvin, though she is a reason worthy of a meltdown," Sophie's mood raised a little bit, as if her emotions were giving a little smile. "So what is the real reason? And don't bother lying. I'm an empath, remember?"

She inwardly panicked, and felt super embarrassed.

"Trust the Empath, Sophie," He said. "You'll feel better when you get it off your shoulders."

He wasn't sure if it was the trust part, or when he said her first name, but she decided to believe him.

She leaned closer to him, until he felt her breath tickle his ear. He had never been this close to Sophie. He liked it.

It was then she whispered, "Lady Galvin had a theory. She said that all my special abilities are affecting how I learn. If that's true, then the one thing that makes me special is just making me weirder." She leaned back and looked at him worriedly, waiting for him to reply.

Keefe sighed, "Foster, when are you going to realize that I'd like you even if you had three eyes and a gazillion abilities. Fitz, Dex, and Biana would feel the same way too." She smiled. "As for Lady Galvin? She's probably jealous of your stunning good looks. And I know good looks anywhere, I mean, I look in a mirror all the time!"

Sophie burst out laughing. "You really are impossible, you know that right?"

"That's why you love me!" Keefe said.

If only that were true.
