Luffy, who got bonked into the ground by Ace, immediately started attacking back. As Luffy's hand stretched to punch him, Ace didn't even bat an eye. Taking the hit with not even a hint of pain. He showed he was truly the son of Gold Roger.

However, Luffy showed he was Luffy by removing a few boogers from his nose and threw them on Ace's face.

"LUFFFYYYYYYYYYYYY,"

The sheer number of swellings on his head doubled the size of Luffy's head.

"ACE, Luffy, enough playing around. I got things ready. Come here."

Under Sabo's shout, both of the D kids stopped their fight and solemnly took a seat beside Sabo.

They looked at the tree stump arranged with 3 sake cups and a sake bottle.

With a smile on their face facing each other.

Looking at the bottle that Ace kept on the tree stump, Luffy pointed out with his squeaky voice, "Oh, you stole that from Dadan!"

Ace opened the cork and poured the sake into the cups, "Did you guys know?! We can become brothers if we exchange this cup of sake!"

Luffy shouted in pure happiness, "Brother?! Really!"

Sabo calmly said, "When we become pirates, we might not be on the same ship-

Ace continued his words, "-but our brotherhood will always be with us ! Wherever you are, Whatever you do, we'll always be bonded together!"

A smile that split their face appeared on all three as they took the cup in each hand and clicked them together.

The 3 sake cups and the sake bottle each other. As the sake sprinkles from the click, the four hands retracted back towards the mouth, drinking with a shout of , """"YEAH""""

Luffy was the only one who didn't lose his smile when looking at the unknown kid who intruded into the swearing ceremony and drank the sake, "Who are you?!"

I really felt this kid keeps exclaiming for too much. Maybe that is the wonder needed by the pirate king, the same wonder needed to enjoy this cruel but amazing world.

I happily introduced myself with a smile, "I am Kingston Kerith, call me king if you like. My dear brothers. Also, I am 10 years old, older than all three of you. So, I don't mind if you call me big bro instead."

So, I am being the sun-tanned brown wonder boy with black hair and black eyes, dressed in magnificent brown pant and hosted with a sword sheat and a pistol. Un response to their shock, I put up thumbs up and a wide grin showing my white teeth. This white tooth is something I have been proud of in this life after seeing the condition of numerous pirates, merchants and marines' teeth. Serious, dental hygiene is non-existent in this world.

Perhaps, I was the only one who expected Luffy to nod and introduce himself, "Hello, I am Luffy. Nice to meet you, King."

He then started extending his fingers one by one until he opened both of hands and said, "I am 8 years old."

I knew how dumb Luffy was from the anime but seeing it was something else. So, I nodded back and said, "Nice to meet you, little bro."

Our simple interaction as if we are discussing the weather finally snapped Ace and Sabo.

Unfortunately, unlike Luffy, Ace and Sabo have both brains and brawns.

The steel pipe was the first to arrive, aiming for my head.

Not even bothered, I bent my back a bit to dodge the attack. However the steel pipe that crossed in front of my face changed it's trajectory like a snake and came back on to my shoulder.

"Wow, that would have dislocated my shoulder. Be careful!"

I luckily managed turn my body sideways to avoid the attack.

It is using this chance that Ace bounced on me with various combos of punched and kicks.

Therefore, I dodged them all with ample space while provoking him, "Seriously, my little brothers. You have no form or manner of thought behind the punches. You guys are like kids. Oh right! You guys are kids."

As soon as Yubashiri came from the sheath, I put it in the path of Sabo's steel pipe heading towards. As I expected, my cursed sword managed to cut the steel pipe. But, Sabo showed his genius by applying force on pipe to stop the movement. Hence, ensuring that the pipe is not cut into two. As if by instinct, he jumped back to avoid the sword slash.

I wanted to follow up but Ace covered Sabo's retreat in a second.

Before Ace can even think of attacking me, my other hand took out the pistol and fired it.

Ace stopped in his spot as the bullet grazed his cheek. I playfully said, "No worries bro, I am really good at shooting things."

Behind

I could feel the Steel pipe sweeping at legs from behind me. Interesting. Ace used himself as a distraction to allow Sabo to sneak behind me. So, I jumped up to avoid the steel pipe like a pro. Unfortunately, Ace took the chance to punch my face.

Well, he tried.

With a hair breadth of gap, I dodged the punch and caught Ace's hand. The moment I landed; I threw Ace over my shoulder on to Sabo who was preparing to strike me with a Steel pipe again.

I looked at downed bodies of my new brothers and pointed my pistol at them, "Look, little bros. In the seas, surprising the people is not an easy task. Especially people like me."

I continued to address them as new brothers even in my mind, to enforce that fact into my very being. Afterall, this world is based on will and desires.

The faster I accept them as my brothers, the faster my Will [Haki] will respond in the same way.

I must say if wasn't for that incident I might have taken decades to awaken Haki. Afterall, not everyone is a freak like Luffy and his crew.

Unfortunately, my observation Haki is not ready to observe the attacks that are not filled with malice.

So, Luffy rubber punch sent me into the tree with a few broken teeth falling from the impact on my cheek.

As I drifted into unconsciousness, I felt that I really need to start training considering my malnourished body finally filled up.

The first thing I heard when I got my conscious back was Luffy being bonked into the ground.

Considering how easily they smashed Luffy into the ground, I felt a chill down my spine. Sure, I wanted to make a great impression on them, but I am sure that being punched by them will put me into a month of Bedrest.

I really hate this world.

I am a man of knowledge, but this world spits on the concept of knowledge.

Except for my luck in awakening Haki due to that incident, I have been tormented with misery all this life. My body is not a monster. Instead, it is like every average citizen in this world.

The moment I tried to break my limit by lifting weights, I dislocated my joints, requiring months of rest before healing. That feat when coupled with my orphan status, pushed me into malnutrition. In this world, if you can't work, you can't eat.

It was only under the care of Garp and his ship, did I slowly went on a diet to fill my malnourished body.

I was ready to work hard and even had a form of advantage in the form of AI, but this world is not easy.

The only way to change my fate is devil fruits or good background. Unfortunately getting a devil fruit requires heaven defying luck or being part of strong faction.

So, I have chosen good background when I remembered Nami and Usopp. Of course, I have no intention of being useless like them and hope to grow like my new brothers.

Looking at my new brothers [Who I forced myself on, who are gazing at me curiously as I got up, I said "Well fuck, that was embarrassing."

Luffy laughed while eating the meat of a 2 foot bone. I don't even wanna know which monster did those freaks kill but I am hoping that I can do the same.

I slowly got up and looked around. Finally, I noticed the meat being roasted on fire. So, I got up, sat on the edge of fire and started eating like my life depended on it. In fact, my live depended on eating.

Eating good food, exercise as much as I can and finally, get strong enough to survive this world. Staying weak in some corner of the world is plain stupidity in one piece.

So, I looked towards Ace and Sabo who is glaring at me and said after swallowing my food, "What? I am sure there is enough food for you guys."

I turned to see that a dozen sticks which roasted meat are being licked clean by Luffy. Hence, I said, "I stand corrected. Seriously Luffy, you are eating far too much."

I felt my head go dizzy when both of them bonked on my head without any hint of malice. Damn it, I can't wait to master observation Haki. By then, I can sense attacks that have no will to harm me.

While it hurt, a smile came to my face because not feeling any malice means that both of them did not reject me.

As for making them accept me, I feel it is too simple considering all three of them are naïve idiots at the stage.

The moment I felt the three attacks I jumped back and kept flipping continuously dodging their attacks. Perhaps, I was being too optimistic.

Looking at their frowning faces, I felt my lips twitch. Are these guys animals or do they also possess observation Haki? I mean these assholes seem to feel my malice.

Afterall, even now my feelings towards them are a mix of celebrity admiration, jealousy and selfishness.

However, I am sure that with time, my feelings will grow true. It is because I want them to be true.

Knowing that any other intent behind me will turn these gems of monsters away from me. Canon all but slammed into my face that these three [especially Luffy] have good vision in people.

With their protection, I will grow strong and achieve everything this world has to offer.
