Chapter 20: Friendship Never Ends
The next day after cleaning up the damage Talos and his army had done, a huge party was held in Ponyville as all of Equestria were celebrating after the defeat of the Demodragons. Everyone was dancing to the music while others were playing games, having some treats, and chatting about.
Watching the party, Chase and Twilight couldn't help but smile at everyone having fun as this was a great victory that no one would ever forget.
"We really did it, Twilight." Chase said as he and Twilight turned to each other. "The world is finally at peace and so are the other sages from long ago. I never thought we could stop a huge army of powerful demons from an ancient legend."
"And we did just that, my sweetie." Twilight said with a warm smile as she kissed her husband on the cheek, making him smile. "I'm very proud of you for coming a long way to return home from your training."
Chase chuckled as he pulled Twilight in for a hug, making her giggle as she snuggled underneath his chin.
"You know, it feels like a lifetime since before we got together, though. Before I met you, I almost felt like I didn't know what else to do since Grandpa passed on." Chase said, recalling the memories before he met Twilight and the others. "I had no idea what I needed to accomplish when I was only a colt."
Twilight smiled as she nuzzled underneath her husband's chin.
"I know, honey. When I was a filly, I didn't know and care about the first thing of friendship. But you and all our friends taught us everything after we came here years ago." Twilight said in agreement as she and Chase shared a loving kiss lip to lip before they departed. "I'm glad I met you and married you. I couldn't have asked for a better stallion to be in my life."
"Same here." Chase said as they nuzzled each other lovingly.
That's when the rest of their friends and family came over to them.
"We couldn't agree more, guys. You both have come a long way to be together." Sokka added with a smile.
"And we all know that love is like friendship as well. It grows stronger as long as all of us are together, especially with our special someponies too." Fluttershy said in agreement with Sokka as she and her husband nuzzled each other lovingly.
"The way you and your team took down the Demodragons was awesome too, Chase." Rainbow added with a smile. "You worked together on finishing nopony else could."
"Don't let us have all the credit, Rainbow. You guys also took on Talos' Lurkers as well, especially his Dark Eco monsters. But yeah, I'm sure this is a memory that nopony will ever forget." Sunray said with a smirk as Trini nodded in agreement.
"There's no other thing I'd rather face alone than to be with you guys all the way." Applejack added with a smile. "To protect our home and all of Equestria."
"Same here, honey." Clay added as he wrapped a foreleg around Applejack, making his wife smile as she snuggled into her husband's neck. "That battle was tough, but we managed to save the day."
"And with Talos gone, the war of the Demodragons is finally over too." Jade added with a smile as well and Rarity giggled with Roby beside her.
"No matter how difficult things are in an evil situation, we always go through it together." Rarity added.
"Whatever evil emerges, we'll be ready. 'Cause we're awesome!" Antonio said with a grin.
Chase and Twilight smiled at their words.
"That's right, Antonio. And we'll do it together." Chase said as he smiled with Twilight.
"Well, what do you guys say we continue to celebrate our party? After all, it wouldn't be a party without us." Pinkie said as she and the others laughed together.
"Pinkie's right. I need a little something to eat and a little dance too." Trini added with a smile.
With that, the group went to celebrate with their families, friends, and allies as the sun shone down on them from the sky while some large dragons flew around in the air, roaring out in victory of the Demodragon threat done for good.
(Scene changes)
At nighttime, the celebration continued as fireworks lit up the sky and the crowd of cheering was heard. Watching the fireworks were Chase, Twilight, and the rest of the gang.
"You've saved the world and more, my boy." Chen said to Chase as his great grandson turned to him. "Talos and his army are history, and somewhere out in the Continent of Mu, a new race has begun again with peace and harmony."
"I'm just glad to be back home after doing my training." Chase said as he held Twilight close to him as his wife smiled in agreement.
"Yeah, well, rest up. We've still got a lot to do for any incoming threats and so much time to do it." Chen said.
"Chen, there's plenty of time to be ready for any trouble for us to handle. Right now, we just want to enjoy the celebration with our friends as best we can." Twilight said with a smile while holding Darius and Nyx close to her as the rest smiled in agreement with her.
"You know, guys. My parents use to tell me stories about Gol when they tucked me in." Roby said with Rarity by her coltfriend's side. "They would give me a nice glass of warm milk, a plate of cookies, and my little teddy bear."
The group looked at him with a stunned expression before they tried to resist smiling.
"Bedtime stories? Warm milk? Cookies? Teddy bear?!" Rainbow asked humorously as Jade, Trini, Fluttershy, and Rarity couldn't resist giggling silently. "Buddy you just blew your image."
"But I just thought of something, guys. When do you suppose we'll see the Solar Eclipse again now that the Demodragons are done with?" Sokka asked curiously.
"I don't know, buddy. But I've got a really good feeling it'll happen in the next three thousand years." Clay said with a smile. "Assuming there won't be anymore Dark Eco problems to deal with."
Chase just chuckled along with Twilight, Darius, and Nyx.
"I don't think we'll have to worry about that anymore. If there's any trouble we have to deal with, there will always be a new hope on the horizon." Santos said as Jewel nodded in agreement with her husband.
"And we've got our secret weapon by our side too." Pinkie added with a teasing smile she and the others sent to Chase, who smirked at them.
"Oh no. I am done with adventures for a while." Chase said with a chuckle as Twilight giggled. "Besides, you'll tell us next time. Right, Grandpa Chen?" The alicorn couple turned to Chen, who avoided eye contact with them as he whistles nervously. Chase and Twilight gave him a glare. "Right, Chen?"
That's when Dojo arrived.
"Aw, you guys won't have to worry about anything too much." Dojo said with a casual smile. "You never know what the future may hold."
Antonio realized Dojo was playing with them too as he glared at him.
"Wait… you know something! Don't you, Dojo?" Antonio demanded with a glare as Dojo reacted nervously.
"Who? Me? Aw, no! We're just… uh… guessing! Right, Chen?" Dojo asked Chen nervously while smiling. "Today, tomorrow, only time will tell."
The Mane Sixteen just looked unamused by this as they turned to one another before glaring at Dojo.
"No… You're gonna tell RIGHT NOW!" Antonio shouted as let out a scream, tackling Dojo in the process as he yelped and a dust cloud was formed.
"Why you little-!" Dojo shouted as the two punched and kicked each other in the dust cloud while shouting at each other as the others just watched them with deadpan looks.
Smirking, Sokka and Clay each grabbed the two, pulling them apart from each other.
"Chase, my dear. The future awaits us." Twilight said to Chase as her husband smiled at her while watching the fireworks with the rest of the group.
(Scene changes)
In the future, over the last twenty moons, the sun shined down on Ponyville as many ponies and creatures walked around town on a nice quiet day.
Standing on the side, Chase and Twilight watched with smiles.
Over the years, Twilight has grown into Celestia's structure with her mane and tail flowing, has a new crown, necklace, and golden shoes.
Chase has grown into Kon's structure with a flowing mane and tail, slight muscle body as he still kept his ninja gear, wearing a black kimono, white pants, wearing his medallion, a new crown, and he grew his circle beard.
Standing next to them were Nyx and Darius as they had grown up as well.
Next to them was an alicorn mare, who resembled Twilight quite a lot back when she was still in her normal state except she had a light brown fur coat, purple eyes, her mane and tail style was like her mother's, and she had a cutie mark showing a yin yang symbol with a spirit bunyip.
Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio were with them as well as they were wearing kimonos with their respective colors and elemental power designs.
"It sure is beautiful, Mom and Dad." The alicorn mare, known as Melody Spirit, said with a smile as her parents smiled with her brother and sister.
"Indeed it is, Melody." Twilight said in agreement with her daughter.
"Where do you think the guys are at? They should've been here by now." Sunray said while looking around for any sign of their friends.
"I'm sure they'll be here, Sunray." Jade said to her brother with a smile.
That's when their family and friends came up to them.
"There you guys are. We were beginning to wonder when you would show up." Clay said while sporting a blue buttoned up shirt, red scarf, and carried a rope around his shoulder.
Rainbow has a now mane style similar to Spitfire's and a Wonderbolt jacket as she's a Wonderbolt veteran now.
Applejack also has a new mane style into a bun, her tail was in a braid, and now wears Granny's scarf.
Pinkie had a new mane style with a rubber duck and lollipops in her mane, a teddy bear stuffed in her tail as well as two party streamers.
Rarity had a deep blue cloak and light gray streak on her mane and tail.
Robby was wearing a block kimono, dark blue pants, his mane and tail still kept in a spikey way, and carried a blue torch.
Sokka has a blue kimono for clothing and a blue bandana wrapped around his head with a single katana sword.
Fluttershy also has a new mane style with a flower.
Along with them were their respective children.
Clay and Applejack's daughter, Apple Cored as she has her mother's orange fur coat, her father's brown eyes, brown orange scarf, buttoned up shirt, stetson hat, and a cutie mark of an apple core.
Rainbow and Soarin's daughter, Rainbow Shine as she looked almost like her mother was back in her old days with a light blue cerulean color fur coat, green eyes, and a cutie mark of a rainbow cloud and sunshine.
Pinkie and Cheese Sandwhich's son, Lil' Cheese as he had a yellow coat, a light pink curly mane with green eyes and a cutie mark of a cheese pie appeared.
Then there's Fluttershy and Sokka's children, Tessen and Zippy.
Zippy was a pegasus foal that had his mother's green eyes, his father's blue fur coat, mane and tail, and a cutie mark of a bow and arrow.
Tessen was a pegasus filly that looked like a miniature version of Fluttershy, except she too had her father's eyes, and a cutie mark of a war fan.
Finally, a unicorn colt stood next to Roby and Rarity, who was their son. He looked like his father, his mane and tail in a spikey way with a dark blue color, he had his mother's eyes, gray kimono, and white pants. His name was Roby Junior.
"Hey, guys. Sorry for being a little late, but we had some school business to deal with." Chase said with a smile he and Twilight had.
"We're just glad you were able to make it. Ponyville wouldn't be the same without you. We just got started on seeing the new students at the School of Friendship. Starlight is preparing to start the ceremony. She's waiting for you." Sokka said as they all went to the School of Friendship.
Once they made it, they saw new students consisting of bunyips, unicorns, pegasi, earth ponies, changelings, yaks, hippogriffs, griffons, and dragons.
"Good afternoon, everycreature. Welcome to the School of Friendship! I'm your headmare, Starlight Glimmer." Starlight introduced herself to the new students with Sunburst by her side. She gestures to Trixie, who has class assignment notes for all the new arrivals. "Please follow guidance consolor Trixie Lulamoon to sign in and get your class assignments. Then we can show you your living quarters."
The students cheered as they went to get their assignments as the Mane Sixteen and their respective children approached Starlight as she turns to them.
"Chase, Twilight. I was beginning to wonder when you both were gonna make it in time." Starlight said as she and the alicorn couple shared a hug.
"It's good to see you too, Starlight." Chase said as the three broke it. "And looks like you've been handling the welcome ceremony just fine."
"And we were right to choose you as headmare of the school." Twilight said with a smile as Starlight smiled back in reply. "We also might let you know that our children are also attending here as you might have read our letter we sent you too."
"Oh, right. I just received it yesterday and yeah, I would be more than willing to help your kids out." Starlight said as she showed the letter Twilight and Chase had sent.
"We'd be honored to join the school, Headmare Starlight." Darius said as he and Melody bowed in respect to Starlight before they and their friends followed the lilac unicorn inside the building while their families watched with proud smiles, especially when they met up with Luster Dawn and the rest of their friends.
"It always brings us memories back when we were teaching the creatures around the world friendship, guys." Trini said to her family and friends with a smile.
"Yeah. Now we've left it in the care of the new headmare, vice headstallion, and guidance counselor." Sokka said in agreement with a smile.
Chase then notices the smile on Twilight's face as he turns to his wife.
"You still wish you could teach friendship here, honey?" Chase asked with an amusing smile as Twilight smirked back at her husband.
"I almost wish I did, sweetheart." Twilight said as nuzzled Chase by the cheek and he returned the favor. "But we'll always remember everything we've done for Equestria and spreading friendship around the world. Because it never dies, it grows stronger everyday."
The others nodded in agreement while the view moves to the sky as the Mane Sixteen reminisced about a time decades ago when they were young. A flashback shows them gathered around Jewel and Santos for a group photo that was taken with all of them smiling as the screen cuts to black, ending their greatest adventure ever.

Author's note: Hey guys,
Here's the last chapter for this final story I've written. It's not pretty, but I did my best on this one for all of you. I also wanted to thank you all for supporting me in the toughest situations I went through, even if there was some good or bad ones. Anyway, thanks for reading my stories. It means a lot to me that most of you like them. I'll be retiring now, but maybe someday I'll come back to do some writing. One of these days. For now, I've got a lot of responsibilities to take care of, starting with my family. You guys take good care of yourselves out there and be safe.
