Prologue
New York City
On top of one of the building's roofs, a woman's wings were dealing with an android; she wore what looked like a hawk mask while wielding a mace. The android holds a replica of her mace in his right hand. Hawk Girl, a member of the Justice League, and Amazo, a highly advanced adapting android able to copy anyone with superpowers, both charged at each other. Hawk Girl was able to land a few hits, but the last one she missed because of Amazo's super speed. The android swung his mace at Hawk Girl, sending her a few feet back and knocking her out. Amazo tried to land the finishing blow when he was interrupted by a voice behind him.
'Some people never learn."
A mysterious voice Amazo turned around to see Batman coming from the shadows. Batman wore a bat mask and a cape around his body. Amazo tries to crush him but suddenly stops when Batman pulls out a chunk of kryptonite from his belt and points it right toward him. As the kryptonite glows a bright green, Amazo feels the pain and falls to the ground. He attempts to escape, but without any effort.
'I guess that goes for androids too.'
Batman replied
'I learn, but I also adapt and evolve!'
Amazo eyes widens, and he quickly gets up, snatching the kryptonite from Batman's hands. He then throws a punch, sending him a few feet back.
Amazo turned around to see Superman flying towards him, and the Flash ran from building to building alongside him. As the two got closer, Amazo threw the piece of kryptonite past the Flash and hit Superman. As the kryptonite impacted Superman's chest, he fell on one of the roofs, he yelled in pain as the now-solid chuck of kryptonite covered his chest. Flash noticed this and rushed towards Superman. Flash began to wave his hands in a circular motion as his hands moved faster, creating winds that were able to blow the powder kryptonite away. Superman was still weakened by the kryptonite was pointing at something behind Flash. Flash looked behind him and saw Amazo towering over him, about to crush him, but was able to dodge the attack, which left small cracks on the rooftops and sent Superman a few feet back. Flash began to annoy the android with his sarcastic comments and arrogant tone.
'Hey! Here I am!'
Amazo tried again but failed. Flash then ran to a different position.
'No! There I am!'
And another, and another.
'Common jum-'
Flash wasn't able to finish his sentences because Amazo used his speed to get behind him.
'Here'
Flash turned around to see Amazo towering over him. Flash tried to land a few punches, but Amazo was not only able to dodge the attack, but with incredible speed, Amazo grabbed Flash by the throat and raised him from the ground, choking him.
'You're just too fast for me, bro, but not for him.'
Flash then pointed at someone behind him; Amazo wasn't amused.
'Oldest trick in the book'
Amazo was about to kill him when he was suddenly attacked by a green light from behind; it was from John Stewart or Green Lantern. As John steps forward, Amazo forms his green lantern ring and uses it to attack John. John tries to deflect Amazo's attack with his green lantern ring, but Amazo starts to overpower John. Flash sits up from the ground and looks over to see the Mace Hawk girl drop. The Flash quickly grabs the mace and goes behind him, hitting him multiple times but not doing any damage to him.
As Amazo was dealing with both Green Lantern and Flash, he didn't notice that Wonder Woman and the Martian Manhunter, who had just arrived to battle, were about to join in the fight.
'That thing copies your power; we'll never be able to take them down.'
'But I can't just'
The Martian tries to protest, but Wonder Woman stops him again.
'You'll have to.'
Wonder Woman reassures him.
Wonder Woman then launches Amazo, causing him to fall off the roof. But this didn't matter to him; he just flew into a room and then straight through, causing a hole in the roof. He was about to attack when a green lantern created a green barrier between them and Amazo. Amazo was banging on the barrier relentlessly, but the barrier held up.
Suddenly John was struck by two beams of green light; the light came from Lex Luthor and his new power suit, and when the barrier was destroyed, Amazo knocked all three heroes back. Lex grabbed Wonder Woman and electrified her, knocking her out. Flash tried to attack, but a giant green hammer stomped on him. He tried to get up again, but this time Flash was knocked out. The last one standing was the Green Lantern. Lex blasted John with his gauntlets. John was able to block with his ring; he didn't notice Amazo right behind him and shot Jhon with his laser beam. Jhon screamed in pain as he fell to the ground, knocked out. Amazon looks at the three Justice League members and then looks up at Lex.
'Let's finish them.'
He said this while raising both of his gauntlets. The Martian manhunter knew that he couldn't just sit here and watch.
Amazo approached Wonder Woman and was about to deal the final blow but was blocked by the Martian Manhunter, who flew down towards him.
'We are not your enemy.'
Amazo looks over at Lex, surprised at this new problem.
'You know what to do.'
Amazo looks back at the Martian manhunter.
'Yes, you know.'
Amazo's red eyes began to glow, and as they did, Amazo's face began to change. His face changed to that of a Martian manhunter, and then the face began to change back.
'Nothing can stop you now; you have all their powers.'
Luther said. Amazo looks back toward Manhunter.
'Use them well.'
Amazo's eyes began to glow; they widen and then turn to anger as he turns to Lex with an angry expression.
'So you lied to me.'
Amazo said with a calm and cold expression that Lex was shocked.
'What?!'
Lex said with a surprise tone.
'It was all a lie, wasn't it?'
Amazo walked towards Lex, causing Lex to step back a bit until he reached the edge of the roof.
'I don't know what you're talking about.'
Lex tried to play dumb, but it was no use.
'Then let me spell it out for you! I can read your mind, Lex!'
Lex's shocked expression turned to anger. Lex then pulled out a small metal box.
'If that's true, then you know what this is.'
He then flips the top cover, revealing a red button inside.
'And that I'm willing to use it.'
Amazo ignored his warning and slowly approached him. Lex pressed the button, which caused Amazo's head to explode, leaving a big gap in his body. As Amazo fell to the ground, the missing head began to rebuild itself, restoring his head.
'Now it's my turn."
Lex, shocked that his backup plan didn't work, tried to flee, but Amazo, using the ring, grabbed Lex by the legs and pulled him back to the roof. Lex tried to use his rocket boots at full throttle, but it was no use.
'I say let them waste each other.'
Flash replied
'Since when do we ever do what you say?'
Hawk Girl grabs her mace back from Flash. The group tried to intervene, but they were stopped by the Martian.
'Wait'
The power that Lex threw out was too much for the suit to handle, so it malfunctioned. As Lex was pulled to the ground, Amazo started to tear up his suit, first his gloves, then his boots, until nothing was left.
'No! No, please!'
Lex begs; his suit is all destroyed, and he was nothing more than a child. Amazo stopped and stood up.
'So small'
Amazo turns its head toward the Justice League.
'All of you, and so meaning less.'
Amazo looked back at Lex, who defended himself with both of his arms.
'There's nothing I want from you anymore; none of you have anything to offer me now."
Amazo then looked up to the sky to see the stars, and as he did, his eyes began to glow as his body turned a bright gold. He then flew straight to the sky as the Justice League watched until he disappeared into space.
'Where is he going?'
Flash asks.
'Where does God belong?'
Martin replied as he answered Flash's question.
'Oh stop'
The group turns to see Lex, his fearful expression now turning to his normal arrogant self.
'He's just a machine; I don't know how much power he has; he's no god.'
Lex smirked, but he was then lifted by Superman, who recovered from the kryptonite hit.
'Then why do I have the feeling that if he ever comes back, you're going to do a lot of praying?'
Lex's face scowls.
'Perhaps we will all be praying'
The group looks up at the sky, seeing countless stars.
