The monster's Due on maple street Narrative
The events on Maple Street got out of control and the police are trying to piece it all together. They pull me into the interrogation room and ask me to piece together my version of what happened on that day. My narrative is in 1st person and I act as if you were a bystander during the events of the story. I retell the events of the story in my own perspective and point of view.
Mr. Galloway you'r here to answer some questions for us so we can figure out what happened. Said officer Colin. Ok I said "Start from the beginning" he said Well I said
It happened that morning "what was that?" said Steve "looked like a meteor" said Don "what was that noise?" I said "I think it was a meteor" said Steve and Don at the same time. I go on "But there was no crash only a roar that doesn't make any sense" why would there be a roar but no crash?" I continue. "I don't get it either" says Steve as his wife Mrs. Brand walks out and says "hey honey the stove and the lights aren't working" "same over here" shouts Don "my power went out to" I say "Mr. Goodman?" says Steve "out over here" said Mr. Goodman. Charlie shouts "i ain't got no power either" "let's go to the next block see if they have power" said Steve "no don't they don't want you to leave" said Tommy "who?" said Steve "them" continue's Tommy, "who's them?" I said. Van horn said i'll go so he went then all the sudden Goodman's car kicks on without him even being near it "wait a minute now everybody calm down i don't know whats going on i don't know how it did that i wasn't even near it" said Goodman Charlie and the rest of the town sat outside of Mr. Goodman's house until dark Don shiftless everyone heard footstep's coming this way Don went inside his house and a few minute's later he came back out of his house with a shotgun. Steve grabbed the shotgun from Don's hands "what are you doing?" Steve continued "will anybody think a thought". Charlie said "no more talk, Steve. you're going to talk us into a grave! You'd let whatever's out there walk right over us, wouldn't yuh? Well some of us won't!" Charlie took the gun from Steve's hand's and he shot the figure walking toward them to see it was Pete Van Horn. "Charlie what did you do?" Steve said. Everyone started accusing Charlie and he ran to his house when all the sudden his light's turned on by themselves, then everyone's light's turned on and off and everyone started accusing each other of killing and hurting themselves. And that was what had happened i don't know why or what made the power and everyone go crazy but that's all i know officer. I swear. Alright Mr. Galloway you're free to go. As I walked out the police station got in my car and drove off back to maple street.
