Robbie finished giving thanks, watching as his friends waited with anticipation for the meal. This was going to be epic, or at least one of the best Thanksgivings he'd had in years. Only four years out of Hollywood Arts, and the one time nerdy boy had finally come into his own, in a sense. "So Beck, why don't you talk about what your thankful for, or would you rather wait to do this until after dinner?"

"I'm thankful my parents still support me." Beck opened. "We know how hard it is out there especially in this economy. Yea, glad I have them, even if I still have to do something beyond just look for parts. Still, they're paying for me to go through school, and I have a warm, safe place to sleep at night. Amazing how important that can be, especially after what happened to Jade…" The heavy moment lingered, with all of them remembering how close to death the goth had come.

"DUDE!" The blue eyed girl snapped. "Bringing everyone down here. Lets focus on the positive. I'm recovering nicely, Rob showed how good a friend he can be, and I have a fucking future. Maybe my parents kicked me out as soon as I turned eighteen, but I'm alive, and in school, and I'm overcoming. Don't dwell, and don't blame yourself. I.. I thought, I'm so tough, I can handle anything. Guessing three guys with a plan and a taser was more then I could handle."

"Can we not talk about this?" Cat begged. Her hurt showed through, for just a moment, before she turned her attention back to the host. "Robbie was nice enough to host this meal for us, and I for one am looking forward to seeing if the second best cook in the group lived up to my lofty expectation."

"I wish Tori could have joined us." Andre sighed. "The one who made it…"

"Masons project." Trina reminded them. "She's not happy, but given how hard it is to make it in this world, she's letting him use her to secure his place at the head of Neutronium, and making bank while doing it. She just has to work a few holidays. A live thanksgiving special, leading to a Christmas special, and all kinds of selling out. She hates it. But the money…"

"Yea, yea, yea." Jade groused.

"Jade, Trina, we agreed to be civil." Robbie gently chided the two.

"We get along these days." Trina insisted. "She just hates that SHE could have been Masons project, working holidays and making so much money." shifting to face the pale girl. "Jade, we're working on it. Just, continue with school, and let us work on the hard part of finding you your path to fame, kay?"

"And the therapy." Rob added. "You live under my roof, you see a shrink."

"It got so dark." Cat whined. "Can we light a candle please? Metaphorically. I…"

"Cat, I hate that it happened, more so then anybody." Jade offered what comfort she could. "I didn't wanna bring it up. But it's here, and we need to get through, so we can enjoy our time together. Robbie made some cash, cause he and Sinjin made one of their nerd ideas into a product, and he's wealthy enough now to host us for Thanksgiving, as well as take this broken ass in and help me find my way. Boy isn't even gonna win him the ditz of his dream, cause you've moved on. Just, he finally showed a good side, and I for one am grateful."

"Rex said he'd abandon me if I didn't offer you some help." Robbie joked. "It felt right, given how you showed me that sometimes, helping your friends is the right thing to do. Now, lets drop the dark stuff and see if my cooking lives up to Cat's expectations. Wouldn't want to upset the apprentice chef who's making such a big noise at Maestro's."

"I'm doing better then that." Cat insisted, shifting from sad to feisty in a heartbeat. "But my work takes so much time, sometimes I wonder if I'll ever have time for myself. If only they didn't pay so well." She looked right at Jade. "Worked the line for a bit, but my skills at cooking got me into the food development arm of the place, and they love me. I get to tell all the lesser chefs what to do. Plus, always experimenting with new tastes, new culinary experiences."

"And I'm just going to school." Andre groans. "My uncle is helping pay for chiz, cause he can afford it. Man makes me work for him, what he calls the grunt work of Real Estate, but he pays me, pays for my education. That, and he takes good care of Grandma."

"Then lets all agree we have someone to watch over us." Trina offered. "I have my parents, plus Tori, who pays me to watch her Hollywood place. Actually pays me to live there, in her guest house, and make sure nothing happens to it while she's out making the big money." Her smile broadened. "Beck, wanna come by, hang by the pool?"

"Not that desperate." Beck said, feeling like a piece of meat.

"I'd go, but last time, she tried to offer me up to her sister." Jade explained. "Tori's not gay."

"Nah, she's majorly Bi." Andre countered. "Just... in denial. That's why I've been pushing for Trina to get you two together. I figured, with her contacts, she'd be your best shot at making it, while she needs what you offer."

"A mean girlfriend?" Beck wondered.

"Oy, vey." Robbie groaned. "Guys, just eat. I worked hard on this meal, and I wanna see my friends enjoy it. Those who live here," He gestured towards Jade, "And can stay as long as they need. Seriously, Jade, stay as long as you need. I think, maybe, I owe you this." He smiled at her. "But also for those who are here for other reasons. Like Andre, who had a place he could be, but needs someplace where the family isn't on his case, cause he looks to the uninformed like he's cozying up to the one wealthy member of his family, just to stay comfortable. Or Cat, who just wants to be among friends, and maybe not expected to cook. Trina, who doesn't wanna be alone…"

"And can't cook." Beck added.

"Or Beck, who isn't in a place where he can refuse that many free meals." Jade finished, letting her ex know he wasn't that much better then she was.

"Regardless…" Robbie tried.

"Jade, play nice." Cat scolded.

"To good friends." Robbie finished.

"And my future sister in law." Trina added, eyes locked on Jade. Still, they toasted, and enjoyed the first good thanksgiving they'd had since gradation.

Something for the holiday, cause I n American, it's almost Thanksgiving. Plus, wanted at least one story where Robbie is the one who has resources to help the others.
