Breaking The News
Shayna and Ellie were found on the manor's tennis court playing a good game of tennis.
When their mom and dad showed up.
"What's the news?" Shayna asked Eliza, bouncing the tennis ball on the ground three times.
"Shayna, Ellie," Eliza announced. "you're both going to be big sisters! I'm going to have a baby!"
Ellie was so excited she nearly dropped the racket she was holding in her hand.
"There's so much to do! We have to get the comvee ready!" Ellie exclaimed.
"Relax, girls," Shane chided. "the baby won't be here for another few months!"
"Eliza, you should really rest," Marianne said. "you're having a baby."
"Mom's right, Eliza," Donnie added. "you and your family should stay with us for a while."
"Well..." Eliza began.
"Please, Mom, please?" Ellie pleaded.
"At least until after the baby's born?" Shayna added.
"I suppose so." Eliza sighed, knowing she had been defeated.
"Yes! Yes! Yes!" Ellie exclaimed.
"More time to spend with Grandpa, Nana, and Uncle Donnie!" Shayna agreed.
Shane just had to chuckle.
"I knew you'd be pleased." Shane said.
Everyone had no choice but to laugh.
