Trina watched the boy approach, measuring each step, wondering if this was the right decision. 'I know what I want now, and this, it's kinda freaky, but it's also the right thing to do. Besides, times have changed, and us, we're not the kinds of people to be locked down…'
"Trina." Andre Harris greeted the girl. After Hollywood Arts, he'd wound up living what to many was a songwriters nightmare, and worked behind the scenes writing jingles for advertising, as well as entrance themes for professional wrestlers. Of the gang, only one had really made it, and it wasn't the one everyone expected. "How's Tori?"
"Still plugging away." Trina sighed. "I hate that she's on the road all the time. But she has to take any opportunity she gets, or she'll never break through. If only Mason wasn't ousted, since she was one of his projects, she'd be famous, and wouldn't need that grunch…"
"You work for that grunch, don't you?" Andre smiled. Trina worked in talent relations, often being the calmer, human contact different celebrities preferred to talk to instead of the dangerous and sometimes unstable Jade West. Still, the pale girl was a producer now, and a force in the industry, who wrote and directed four award winning children movies. Turns out, toned down just a touch, her dark fantasies worked well for the kids, often spinning tales of animated pleasure that made more then they cost, not easy with modern animation. Dingo had the goth on contract, for way to much money, and Trina was the one everyone relied upon to keep the blue eyed filmmaker under control, least she scar one of the long list of celebrities who wanted to be in one of her projects. Jade was currently creating her own superhero universe, and plotting out how she'd compete with the existing companies. Trina had been in negotiation with Detective Comics to do a comic crossover, to promote the material, and give Jade that edge for this new project.
"Work for, hold by the balls, take your choice." Trina shrugged. "Arranging for her to 'accidentally' run into Tori, that had been with done the intent of maybe tricking her into dating again. Who was I to know Tori would seduce that bitch. Had to lock the door just to keep Tor from recovering her stuff. Made them negotiate this relationship. I think it's gonna work."
"So, that what you wanted to talk to me about?" He wondered. "I was thinking…"
"We always need music for these movies." Trina assured the boy. "It's just, you took Becks side when they broke up, and you know how she is. Fuck, she thought of you as a friend. No way in hell it was gonna be an easy reconciliation."
"Just glad you've been here for me while Tori has been out trying to make her mark in music." Andre finally relaxed. "After my last date, god, that woman was a nightmare."
"Tell me about it." Trina nodded. "I had to seduce her just to get her to stop stalking you. Just glad, after, she didn't transfer affections, cause I didn't need some bitch wanting to have my baby."
"Yea, about that….." The boy looked nervous.
"I'm bi." Trina explained. "Me and Tori both. Used to joke about which of us would be tapping Jade's fine ass. Of course, I always knew it'd be her, cause Jade, she needs what Tori brings." Her face got serious. "Just like you need what I bring. Dre, I think, our friendship, it's worked out great, except it hasn't."
"Trina, look, I think you're great…"
"No, you like your freedom." Trina cut him off. "I know, cause I kinda like mine too. Only, want a family, and given my dating history…. Fucking Malory was the best relationship I had in the last five years. We both got off, and we both got what we wanted and were able to just move on. Ups," She gestured between the two of them, "we've danced on the edge of friendship and something more for a while now. Never dropped over the edge, but that's cause we've always been looking for perfect, and lets face it, never gonna happen."
"So we just give up, go with each other?" Andre sounded hurt, maybe a touch angry.
"Open relationship." Trina said. "Written contract, maybe marriage later on, if you feel okay with it. Nothing traditional, cause that's just not us. We keep it open, and try not to hurt one another."
"And what brought this idea on?"
"Finally saw Professor Marston and the Wonder Women." Trina confessed. "Made me think, could do without the S&M bull, but the rest, the three way relationship, the family, I kinda want that. Just, we be honest, look into what kinds of relationships we're interested in, and approach every member of the family as we move forward."
The girl shifted, eyeing her companion. "Look, I understand you. You're always after the next conquest. The next pretty girl. Sooner or later, that just gets pathetic. However, I can live with that, cause I'm gonna be after the same. In some cases, literally. We agree, use protection, and make sure we think about our partners health. I'm probably gonna be after girls, cause I'd have you at home, and I know you're totally into whatever girl you're perusing next. Not cray cray about some of the particulars, cause it means I don't get the great husband I wanted. Still, I get that family I've always wanted, and you, you can feel secure in knowing you'll have a home, a family, some place to be. So, what do you think."
"I think you're crazy." Andre breathed. "In some ways, you're like a sister to me."
"And in others, a whack off fantasy." Trina challenged.
"But never more." He insisted.
"What not?" Trina almost stood, except she wanted to maintain that calm she'd developed in dealing with Jade.
"I don't know." He gave up. "Trina, I've always had this fantasy, this image of what my future would be like..."
"And this isn't it." Trina finished for him, already on her feet. She circled around the table to lean on his, offering comfort as he faced the reality. "No one got the future they dreamed of. Cat, who'd have ever believed she'd be in politics. But there she is, working for American Propagandist, a right wing talking head, doing news entertainment. A news actor."
"Broke Robbie's hear, what with his father being a civil rights lawyer." Andre agreed. "I was just as surprised to see him joining the family firm. Just, glad he passed the bar…"
"Point is, this is our forward." Trina shifted. "I could have gone with Beck, but…"
"Yea, never saw him as a priest." Dre agreed. "Didn't even know he was catholic."
"Personally, I think it was his refuge from Jade. Boy had no idea she'd stop stalking him after High school." Trina smiled. "So, we doing this, cause I will admit, I've always wanted me a taste…"
Andre shrugged the older girl off, but not out of disgust. He'd grown more then used t the way Trina just went for what she wanted. In fact, it was part of what brought the two of them together, his admiration for her drive, her savvy, and her willingness to do the most gawd awful things to succeed, all without dipping into things she wasn't wiling to do. She worked for Jade, had become indispensable to the goth, but never once considered porn, even if she did enjoy her sexual escapades.
"If we do this, then we do this right." He told her, slipping away from her. "I'm way into the whole chase, the dance of romance. Think I'm like the french, or at least the french from Dumas's books. I want the whole affair, but I want the romance." Now more in control, and thinking about his interests, he found the idea Trina had suggested both inciting, and almost insulting. "I want the romance, the chance. Not saying no, not any more., cause I do agree, gonna be hard to figure out just what I want in a traditional romance. No, I'm saying, we date, and if things move in a certain direction, then we go with."
"So, I don't get my taste?" Trina smirked, even as she let her choice of outfits, the tight top and pants, showed off her toned body.
"Oh, please, we both know, if the date goes well, you'll be getting more then you can handle." The musician promised.
"Promises, promises." Trina chuckled. "Dude, bigger isn't better."
"Talking endurance here." Andre smiled, starting to enjoy the negotiations. "This man can last. So…"
"So?" Trina raised an eyebrow, pushing the question.
"So…" He deflated. "I just, easy's never been my thing."
"No, easy's never been Beck's thing." The girl smiled, warm and promising. "You, I think you just want more then the quick conquest. You want someone to share chiz with, thoughts and hopes and dreams. Well, we share a lot of interests, and have more then a few unique to ourselves. We match well. Just, you and I, we've always had this shit between us, and we had to become friends first to get past it. So, I can go on, fucking your last distaste, hoping that will fulfill me, while you dance from failed romance to failed romance, cause as you said, you're way into the chase. Or, we hook up, and become some kind of family, cause we do have that connection now. I just, I need some touch of stability, and you…."
"Fuck." He breathed out, giving in. "We date. Plus, and this is important, no sex until date three. Thinking we need to makes sure we can handle the new relationship between us. But, and I'm only giving this much, but if it works out, then sure, why not see where this goes. An open relationship."
"An open relationship."
"AFTER three months." The boy added. "Lets build up our own first, and go from there, kay?"
"Okay." Trina nodded, extending her hand.
"Betting you thought we'd be sealing this agreement in bed, didn't you?" Andre joked.
"Had no idea." Trina smiled. "But I brought condoms, whipped cream, and an assortment of other, um, enhancements, just in case."
"Yea, that brings up the next thing… We're gonna have to negotiate just what constitutes sex, cause me, not into the weird, kinky chiz.'
