I only recently watched "Merlin" and when I finished I needed to know more. Did Merlin return to Camelot? How would he cope with Arthur's loss? This story is what I imagine happened in the days following Arthur's death. Edit: I'm continuing Merlin's story, following on from my epilogue. I hope to revisit some familiar characters.

Merlin never expected waiting for Arthur to return would be so hard, but he's watched everyone he has ever loved die and been alone for longer than anyone ever should.
