Hello everybody! Thank you so much for being patient, and I appreciated all the reviews that were genuinely interested in the plot. But good news, first chapter has arrived in between cleaning both kitchen and bathroom no less lol. But hey, when your team is planning on a nighttime paranormal investigation, and convention tomorrow after work, you try to get as much done as possible in one day if you can lol. I know I'm going to be tired and sore tomorrow. So first thing we need to tackle before we move into the story. It's the voting on the pairing for Charlotte. I will be including the reviews as well as the poll on my profile to count the votes.
Poll results:
Glenn Rhea: 3 votes
Daryl Dixon: 2 votes
Rick Grimes: 3 votes
T-dog: 2 votes
I would also like an idea from you guys, Charlotte's animagus form, what would you suggest her form should be because I can't decide lol other than that, read and review!
CHAPTER ONE
Being alive is another way of living in hell. The war in Britain had been a version of hell on its own, leading Charlotte Rose Potter to raise her recently orphaned Godson, Theodore Lupin, or as she affectionally calls him, Teddy. She had been trying to get to the United States when she got separated from her friends, Ron and Hermione.
Right after the war ended, the world went straight down the drain when a virus broke out and causing the dead to rise and very much different compared to the Inferi.
Since then, Charlotte had Teddy strapped to her as she was forced to stay on the run, never stopping for more than a day if only to feed and change Teddy.
Charlotte looked on at the scene before her as Teddy babbled on. She looked down to where he was strapped to her chest and smiled at him. "Hush now, Teddy. Danger is getting closer as we reach the city. Hopefully we'll find something if we're lucky, but when has we ever been lucky?" She asked with a scoff. Teddy cooed at her and laid his head on her chest to take a nap.
Charlotte spotted the road that led to the city and decided to follow it, no other choice except to move on foot. She thought about why she was approaching an infested city and hummed in thought. He needed more clothes especially for the upcoming winter and perhaps on the way back out, she recalled Arthur Weasley's car and she hoped to prevent a replicate by using the spell he used to make the car reliant on magic alone.
She made her way to the crowded road with vehicles and she bit her lip nervously. She never learned how to drive, having been too caught up in the war to learn. Instead, she focused on towards the city. Decided that, even if a little out there, to use the human detection spell to see if there are any survivors left out there. She needed to live and to do so is to be with other people, survive long enough to reunite with her friends again.
She whipped out Death's wand and whispered, "homenum revelio." Her wand spun a bit until it stopped to a nearby location. Which took her by surprise.
Charlotte followed the direction her wand led her to and spotted a shady looking van that looked like rather chaotic with the way it was parked.
She looked at the area around her to see if there were others or if the dead had followed. Seeing none and making sure Teddy stayed quiet, she silently approached the van, peering over to look at the front seat and the site before her had her try to suck in a gasp.
It was a man, almost like the most country redneck type she had ever seen before in her life. He was unconscious and covered in blood. She stepped closer to see where it was coming from and found that he had cut his own hand off, she reached over to see if he was still alive to feel his pulse, but as soon as her hand was close, she froze when he used his other hand and yanked hers into a harsh grip and she stared into blue eyes, only her magic sucked her in, and she saw his memories, the next thing she knew, he fell back into unconscious again, breaking the connection.
