Seth had been awake for hours. He had hardly slept at all after everything that had gone down the night before. He had spent hours cleaning the kitchen from top to bottom. He had emptied all the cupboards and scrubbed them clean. He poured himself a cup of coffee as a small break before moving on to the stove and oven.
"Hey," Dean's raspy voice sounded.
Seth looked over at Dean who sat down and pointed at Seth's cup.
"Can I have some?" Dean asked.
Seth poured Dean a cup and heard the door to Roman's room open. He grabbed a third cup and poured coffee for Roman as well. Roman appeared seconds later and sat down next to Dean. Seth placed the cups in front of them and sat down on the opposite side of the table.
"Talk," Seth said.
"Things got a little out of hand last night," Roman said.
"You think?" Seth asked.
"Let's just forget about it. She ran off and that's the end of it," Roman said.
"No," Dean said.
Both Roman and Seth turned their focus to Dean.
"No?" Seth asked.
"I don't wanna forget about it. I wanna find her," Dean said.
"You can't be serious," Seth said.
"I'm dead serious," Dean said. "She held a knife at your throat, Seth. That won't go unpunished."
"That should be up to me to decide," Seth said.
"We're two against one," Dean said.
Seth looked over at Roman who nodded in return. Seth let out a loud sigh and took a sip of his coffee. He had done a lot of thinking over the early morning hours. He had tried to make the thoughts go away by cleaning the kitchen but they refused to leave him.
"I love you, Seth."
He wished she had told him earlier. He would have been happy to hear that. He would have told her that he loved her too. He would have kept her safe from Dean and Roman. He felt like he held part of the blame of what had happened last night even though he deep inside knew the fault fell on the two men he called his friends.
"How do you plan on finding her?" Roman asked.
"Up until last night she was a ghost. Now we have her real surname," Dean said.
"But still," Roman said. "You read what all those articles said about her. She's not gonna be easy to find. If cops can't find her, neither can you."
"I don't know my way around a computer and how to hack into systems but someone here does," Dean said.
Dean looked over at Seth who coughed when coffee went down the wrong pipe. Seth lowered his cup and shook his head.
"No," Seth said.
"Yes," Dean said.
"I don't do that shit anymore. I got too close being caught last time. I had to fucking erase my life and run away. I've started over and I'm done with that shit," Seth said.
"I'm not asking you. I'm telling you," Dean said.
"And I'm telling you no," Seth said.
Dean turned his head and gave Roman a look. Seth started feeling nervous. Those two always ganged up on him and sometimes they were a bit more forceful than he liked. He wished he had never told them about his past but he thought he could trust them.
"Do it, Seth," Roman said.
"What happens if I don't?" Seth asked.
"You don't wanna find out," Dean stood up. "But I swear you will if you don't do it."
