Only one more day until Danamchi season 4, woooooo!. Still don't own it though
Revis stumbled down a side hall of Knossos, a large scowl could be seen on her face. She looked down to see the frozen stump of her left elbow slowly trying to heal itself and re-grow her fore-arm. Anger and demonic thoughts echoed in her mind. The reason for this? Nine hells!
'Those pathetic insects think they can get away with this shit!'
Revis had just narrowly escaped Riveria's powerful Wynn Fimbulvetr, having to sacrifice her left forearm along with her cursed weapon. Even with her incredibly impressive healing ability, she was currently struggling to heal her injury courtesy of the high elf.
"Tch, I'm going to kill those fairies next time I see them," Revis said to no one, but if the walls had ears, they would have heard the malice in her words.
"If I get some more monsters to deal with the lesser insects then I can focus on her."
Revis slowly started to knit a plan together in order to take down the Elves that had invaded Knossos. Making her way to a room where she stored the eggs that housed her Spiders and Violas. Then she would make her way back to the invaders, all the while making sure she focused on fully healing herself, and then take them out in a matter of seconds. As she opened up the last door and once again started running down the damp hallways, a sinister grin replaced the scowl on Revis' face, the thoughts of the adventurers screaming in pain, dying around her brought some semblance of excitement for the red-headed creature. However, when she came to the room in which she stored and created her pets, her scowl once again re-emerged and it was much more profound than before.
"What the fuck has happened here?!"
"What do you mean the spider's eggs have been destroyed, Barca?" An androgynous God asked the man next to him.
"It is as I said, Lord Thanatos. Someone has broken all the incubators that Revis was storing."
"Who, like, did that then. How many groups are in Knossos at the moment?"
"Only the Armed monsters and Loki Familia's Elves."
"And neither of them have come near that side of Knossos. They were very well hidden as well, not many of us know about it."
"That can only mean one thing, Lord Thanatos."
Thanatos nodded in agreement. " Someone has invaded without us noticing who has knowledge about the keys but also the layout of Knossos better than most."
Thanatos grinned as the future outcome was now even more shrouded in mystery. As Barca and the God of Death tried to work out the mystery invader along with everything that was going on, Revis was about to learn the answer to the new problem that had occurred.
As Revis could only get angrier and angrier at her storage being destroyed, she too, like the God of Death, was trying to figure out what had happened. But then she heard it, a small gust of wind. Ever so quiet that most people wouldn't have noticed. But in these quiet, draftless and hollow rooms, even the slightest movement could be detected if a person's senses were attuned enough. And Revis definitely was powerful enough to detect it. Her recently acquired power-up that has now pushed her to the brink of getting to level 7 power now put her as the second strongest creature in all of Orario in terms of base strength. Because of this, she was able to turn just in time to notice a small glint of metal flying straight at her chest.
Barely dodging the attack, she followed the flying sword as it slammed into the wall, lodging itself neatly in one of the many cracks. She quickly assessed her surroundings but could see nothing and not detect anyone near her, which she was normally very attuned to. As she completed her full 360-degree turn, she then faced the wall the sword was stuck in except now it was nowhere to be seen. She could only stare wide-eyed the sword that had just vanished into thin air. Something about this felt familiar to her like she had seen this before. Revis started to shift through her memories, trying to think where she knew this was from. This experience. The deathly quiet arena she and her opponent was in. The lack of a presence. The fact that they knew to aim for her chest where her magic stone was.
Revis grinned. That was it. She had only faced one person who instantly knew to attack her chest like they knew what she really was.
"So… the failure has returned."
Nathan ran out of the room he had destroyed, leaving the red-headed creature behind. He came to know about this room after following Revis back to it one day after she had beaten him into the ground in what she apparently called training. He remembered the sessions vividly. It had been his Goddess's idea for Revis to train him now and then. It was just after the big war 7 years ago and he had just reached level 2. She said it was to get him stronger but he really thinks they made a pact with each other to watch and laugh at a 9-year-old boy rive around in pain as he coughed up blood and tried to stand on broken bones.
Nathan quickly dismissed those memories from his mind. He was somewhat satisfied he had gotten rid of a big threat but was pissed with himself that he had missed the prime opportunity to take out Revis. It had almost worked before back then. Hadn't he gotten stronger since then? Hadn't he gotten stronger in the hopes that he would be able to fully take down the group that had held him, prisoner, for so long? If not, what was the point of escaping, of killing his Goddess and joining Hermes almost two years ago?
The half-elf could only think about this stuff as he continued his march down memory lane. He still hadn't found either the Xenos or the Loki Familia. He had contemplated going to try to take on Barca or Thanatos but he knew how long it would take to get there and it was time he didn't have. So the half-elf silently ran down the halls, sticking in the shadows that protected his presence.
Fels led the Xenos down another route. The doors were opening for them and the black-robed mage knew that they were being watched. He was thinking about what kind of trap they were they being lured into. The mage was confident that they would be able to deal with any trap, he was right of course. But with no information about Knossos, Fels could only follow the path that they were being led down.
As the group rushed down the damp caverns of Knossos, they noticed a jade crest spread across the ground. Immediately, the wise mage knew what it was.
"Get out of the circle!" Fels warned
"-My name is Alf! Rea Laevateinn"
A mass gathering of Flame pillars burst from the ground, surging from the magic circle.
Riveria had noticed the group after stagnating on the twelfth floor for a bit, searching for any monsters. However, when she came across a response that wasn't Revis, Evilus or themselves, she decided to attack.
"Loki Familia!" Fels groaned as he watched Nine hell and the group of Faires emerge into their eye line.
Riveria narrowed her eyes at the sight of the armed monsters. The fact that they had made it past Finn and were now here proved to her that they were a threat to be dealt with. Their existence posed a danger to the people of Orario.
Before Riveria could start her attack, Fels took the initiative and opened with the first move.
"Riveria Ljos Alf, no, the Loki Familia, I would like to negotiate with you." The mage spoke.
"You are Lord Ouranos's messenger, am I correct?"
"Yes, I am performing the divine will of the founding God, Lord Ouranos."
Riveria dismissed the idea and then began a back and forth with Fels. The Xenos spoke out at their situation, causing the Elves to pale and start to reconsider everything that had happened. The Elves, including Riveria herself, couldn't attack. Not only was the power that was the name of the founding god extraordinary but now that the Xenos themselves had said they didn't want to attack but instead speak, any attack could be seen as barbaric. It was their very own blood that stopped them from attacking.
Riveria was listening to the back and forth between her underlings and the monsters who called themselves Xenos. Finally, she opened her eyes.
"Are ya stupid!" The words shocked everyone there, especially the elves. "-is what our Patron Goddess would say."
Riveria then went on to put down everything Fels and the Xenos had said.
"If you have no proof of this so-called paradise you wish to create, show me your resolve. If you can't do that, then what you say is nothing but a dream like the one's when a little boy wishes to become a hero." The high elf stated. Alicia looked at her mentor and could see the over lapping figure of her captain at the way Riveria was speaking.
Fels could not return with a proper answer and could only come to the remaining option.
"It is unfortunate that we must do this, but you leave us no other choice."
And so the Xenos and the Loki Familia prepared to clash. The whole night of fighting, bluffing and strategy had led up to this point in time.
"Get them!"
"In the name of Lord Thanatos, Kill the intruders!"
The Xenos and the Loki Familia looked on as they saw the followers of the God of Death charge at them in full force. As Fels and Riveria realised what had happened and how they had been lured into a trap, they could only prepare for the next fight that they had no choice but to win if they wanted to achieve their aims. Boxed in from almost all sides about from the door the Xenos had come from, the numbers of the Evilus out did what the Loki Familia and the Xenos had by 5 to 1.
"!"
Just before any conflict could truly begin, everyone was frozen. A feeling that none could truly describe was coming from the direction the Xenos had appeared. The Evilus backed up completely, not knowing what it was that was making their legs shake. All eyes were now focused on the pitch-black hallway, the door still opened, allowing whatever was causing even the Xenos and Nine hells to stop focusing on the enemy in front to enter.
"L-lady Riveria?" One elf asked
"F-F-Fels?" A small Xenos stuttered out
'' What is that?'' Everyone thought at the same time. The people in question who were asked what was coming towards them could only think of one thing.
"It is a pure feeling.." Fels mentioned.
"A feeling of pure anger." Riveria finished.
'So her pet has finally returned.' Thanatos thought as he watched on.
The feeling of wrath was that intense it completely halted any fighting that was about to occur. Slowly, footsteps could be heard. They were shallow at first, only the ears of those with level 4 or above strength could make them out but slowly they became clear to everyone. The noise bounced off the cracked stone floor, resounding around the completely silent battlefield. Only one person in the room were able to instantly realise who was coming toward them as they had been next to it at a much greater height of anger. But gradually, the remnants of Evil slowly started to remember who or what was coming towards them.
Riveria and the elves could only watch as the people who were about to attack them with no fear or hesitation were now shaking with fear, some dropping their weapons and turning around. This garnered the attention of the Xenos as they too saw how Evilus were reacting. Only Fels kept his eyes on the ever-approaching figure that he knew would soon appear. Though his nerves would say one thing, he was glad that this person was coming as he believed he was going to be of some help.
To everyone present, the figure of a young, teenage boy walked through the large door frame. Everyone recognised him as soon as he appeared. Completely black clothes from head to toe, black boots that went up to his shins. A mask that covered his eyes and a neck muzzle that went over his mouth and nose, leaving no skin to be shown. A small tuff of bleached hair dangled over his forehead. A pair of swords were strapped to his sides, slightly swaying back and forth with each step he took.
"Isn't that…?" One elf whispered.
"He was with the surface dwellers." A Xenos said.
"We saw him in the war game." Another elf spoke up quietly.
"Nathichii?" Lyd questioned.
'Nathan of Hestia Familia' Riveria thought.
But before those on the sides of good could ask what the boy was doing here and why he was emanating such an aura, it was the Evilus' turn to say who they saw.
"IT'S HIM!"
"IT'S THE REAPER!"
"HE'S COME TO FINISH WHAT HE STARTED!"
The Loki Familia and Xenos could only watch in shock at how the Evilus reacted to the site of the 15-year-old half-elf. They saw as Evilus members scrambled over each other, all turning back to the closed door they had come through.
"LORD THANATOS, OPEN THE DOOR!"
"PLEASE LORD THANATOS!"
"DON'T LET HIM GET US!"
The sheer terror that they showed was something that Riveria could only compare to what she saw 7 years ago during the great war.
"Nine hells"
Riveria turned to the quiet, cold voice that called her name. Her Jade eyes turned to face that of the mask-covered eyes of the half-elf.
"You said you wanted to see proof, to see resolve, didn't you?"
Riveria was confused about what she had previously said was being brought up but she felt like she couldn't ignore answer the voice.
"Y-yes, I did."
The elves could only look on as their commander faced off against that overwhelming feeling of anger. They did not fault her for stuttering as they knew they wouldn't even be able to talk.
"Wasn't my captain's resolve enough for you, standing alone."
The Loki Familia looked back on the memory of the white-haired boy protecting a monster.
"Wasn't him sacrificing everything he had worked for enough proof for you?"
They all remembered how overnight; the Little Rookie name went from loved to hated.
"Wasn't my family being scorned and spied on enough for you?"
The cold voice hit home at the ones listening. The Loki Familia could only think about what they had heard, even Riveria not coming up with a direct answer. The Xenos looked down in shame at the thought that they had brought this on the people who had shown them salvation.
"And now, even when you are both facing an enemy that threatens both sides, you still choose to attack innocence people over the real issue."
The fact that Loki Familia had wasted time focusing on the Xenos instead of Knossos annoyed Nathan. This only added to the pile of anger that had come from this past week. Everything that had been directed towards Bell and his Familia with the scorn, spying and threats thrown their way. The number of times a Xenos almost died for no reason apart from because they were born like that. The Evilus Remnants rearing their ugly heads once again. It all was too much for Nathan's Mental Fortification to hold back any longer and after being reminded of his past with Revis and seeing Evilus in the flesh once more, Nathan's coded skill started to unravel once again and it yearned to be sated.
The claim of calling the Xenos innocent and people was a shock to both parties. For the Xenos, they were still wary of the half-elf and the way he acted almost cold towards them only to have him recognise them as fellow people. For the Loki Familia, it was something that just couldn't comprehend.
"You see them as people!" One Elf shouted out.
"They breathe, eat, talk, fight for what they believe, they don't kill for no reason. That classifies as a person to me."
"How are they Innocence, one of them attacked a young girl." Another protested. Though she was quickly silenced by a deathly cold look from the mask. The mention of Weine attacking someone only made Nathan's blood boil more.
"You know very little of the truth, so I suggest you shut it." The half-elf retorted along with his glare.
Alicia then stood up to protect her sister. "They are monsters, they have been our enemies since the start of life."
By this point, the remnants of Evilus had started t re-group. Seeing that Nathan hadn't immediately attacked as previously thought, they decided to once again attack once more.
"Though the reaper has appeared, he is only one boy!" One person shouted from the back.
The Xenos, Fels and Loki Familia realised that they were calling Nathan by the Alias Reaper. But before anyone could ask about it, the half-elf spoke up once more.
"Elleaf. If you think monsters are only those that are born in the dungeon." Nathan said as he drew his swords and started to walk towards the mass of Evilus, allowing his skill to takeover, releasing all his bloodlust and wrath
"Then you have never seen a monster."
If Fels had any eyes, they would either be scrunched up in fear or wide-eyed in horror. Those were the two expressions that were shared between monsters and men as all watched a single half-elf cut his way through an army. If the elves had to describe what they saw, Barbaric wouldn't even come close to it.
The person who they only thought of as the young half-elf from the Hestia Familia had almost disappeared as they could only view the thing that was slashing its way through hordes of blood and guts as one thing. A monster.
Each attack was as deadly as the one before. Not a single ounce of movement was wasted. Every swing of the sword sliced through a person's neck. Every kick off the ground was used to move on to the next target. As the right sword blocked a weak swing from a spear, the left sword chopped off the arm that held onto the spear, followed up by a roundhouse which broke the neck of the now dead assailant. To the God of Death that was watching all this, all he could do was gape in awe at the beautiful dance that was being woven as he thought that her project wasn't a failure in the slightest.
The fear that was being slammed into the Evilus was enough to knock most to the knees, leaving them a sitting duck to the swing of a sword, their heads piling up next to their decapitated bodies.
Screams of pain were heard. The gushing of blood poured everywhere, coating the once barren floor red. Shouts for mercy were ignored. The was no time for mercy, for mercy was only to be given in the afterlife.
As Riveria looked on, mortified at what she was witnessing, she could only think of one thing. Who was this person? His abnormal healing. The requests to not spy on the Hestia Familia out of fear of him. The ease of taking on more than half of the Apollo Familia. Each and every time, those questions seemingly had no answer and this only added to this. She was Nine hells; a veteran level 6 and she could feel her knees weakening by being in the mere presence of this feeling of wrath.
Fels was watching, recalling a memory of a night almost two years ago. How he had been ordered to spy on a certain Familia only to feel this same anger. He compared that sight to the one he was watching. It was just as vicious as before, only this time there was no God's neck to slice open.
One member of Evilus was cowering near the wall, shaking in absolute fear. Barely being able to move as he watched on at the onslaught of his peers. People he called friends. People he was hoping to go into the afterlife together. But that wasn't possible anymore because instead, it was the Reaper who had come to claim their souls. He looked around, seeing each and every door locked. They had previously tried to run from the Reaper but Thanatos had refused to open the doors. They felt the anger subdue a bit and decided there to attack once more, hoping they could put an end to their constant fear of not being able to fulfil their only wish. But that had been a mistake. The Reaper's anger only intensified once more and began shredding them apart as if they were nothing but paper.
He continued looking around and saw the enemies in the same position he was. Staring at the scene in front of them, not being able to come to terms with what was happening. However, an idea came to his head. He wanted to die, to re-join his beloved in heaven and move on to the next life together like Lord Thanatos had promised would happen. As long as he didn't die to the Reaper he would be fine. He had contemplated many times in an attempt to blow himself up, like many others had tried but it was almost like the Reaper had a sixth sense to this, stabbing anyone before they could detonate. The one time someone had managed to pull the trigger in time, the Reaper simply kicked his body far enough away so as to not cause him any harm. All it accomplished was taking out a portion of the army he was already decimating. So the man got up, grabbed his sword and charged for them. At least he could take down one of those disgusting elves with him.
Rakuta could only watch in horror. She had already almost vomited at the sight but she had managed to hold it down, some of her comrades weren't so lucky. Her knees had already buckled once or twice but she was still standing, most of her comrades couldn't say the same thing. Suddenly, her rabbit ears heard a yell coming their way. The Rabbit girl turned her head to see a young man running towards them, sword above his head. It was clearly a suicide attempt but that meant little if the person managed to hurt someone as well. Though that future was eradicated as a sword emerged from the person's body. They slowly looked down, seeing their stomach being pierced before they too joined the many lifeless corpses that now littered the hell. As Rakuta watched the sword fall, she saw the cause of the young man's death standing there. Not even wasting another second at the fact he had taken yet another life, the masked boy turned and continued his slaughter, not even giving the time to notice the bunny girl fall to her knees, throwing up.
By now it would seem the Loki Familia had almost forgotten about the presence of the armed monsters, as they were now learning what a true monster could do. However, some of their eyes, Riveria included were now drawn to another figure entering the fray.
With red-blood hair, Revis now appeared. She surveyed the surroundings. She smiled, a bone-chilling smile that showed some form of twisted pride at the murder spree unfolding in front of her. Her missing arm now healed and with another cursed weapon in hand she quickly picked her target.
"Die!"
Revis swung her weapon at the elves who were still pre-occupied with not trying to throw up or pass out. It was going directly towards a young blonde-haired elf who was trying her best to help her younger sisters in dealing with what was happening, everything appearing too much for them. She did not see the monster's missile flying directly toward her.
"Alicia!" The cry from Riveria only gave enough time for the Elf to notice her impending doom. She had failed to recognise the danger and now she would pay the price. Riveria was the only Loki Familia to notice the arrival of the creature from hell. However, she wasn't the only thing to notice Revis.
A sudden gust of wind flew past Riveria, aiming straight towards Alicia.
"-kuh!"
The missile slammed into a shield of golden feathers. As Alicia could only look on in shock as a beautiful Siren fell to the ground in pain, golden feathers falling off her.
"Rei!" Lyd shouted at his comrade.
"W-why?" Alicia asked, stumbling on her words as she fell over, not being able to deal with what just happened. A monster had just saved her life.
The Loki Familia elves could only look on, wide-eyed at what they had just seen. Riveria herself now distracted from the murder as she too could only look on in dismay at the monster saving her family.
By now everyone had noticed Revis appearing.
"It's lady Revis!" One person screamed in utter ecstasy.
"She will deal with the Reaper!"
"She will help us win this fight!"
Many of the Evilus members were now smiling in delight as they now saw their savour. However, since they had noticed Revis, everyone had noticed it.
The screams of death and pain seemingly came to a halt as the boy shrouded in swathes of black wind stared at the creature. Unlike everyone else, Revis held no such fear towards the boy, only smiling.
'So he still holds that within him?' Revis thought with a smile.
As the two continued to stare at each other, a large slam was heard at the opposite side Revis had entered from.
A Prum with Golden hair and a spear to match walked into the room. Holding a key in one hand and his spear in the other, the captain of the Loki Familia stepped foot in to the arena
"Finn!" Riveria shrieked at the sight of her captain.
"Tch!" Revis took the opportunity to try and slice Riveria's neck open, but she was quickly stopped.
"Like I'll let ya." Bellowed a voice from behind the large battle-axe that had intercepted Revis. The impact caused a ripple to spread across the room.
"Ya alright lass?" Gareth asked Riveria behind him.
"Better now that you're here." The high elf replied.
"What the hell has happened here?" The dwarf preceded to ask. He looked around to see a young boy coated in blood standing in between them and the group of Evilus. The level 6 dwarf was only able to tell the starting number of enemies by the mass graveyard scattered around the boy.
"We can ask that question later, it would seem the battle is still ongoing," Finn said, readying his spear. The reinforcements of the Loki Familia bolstered morale among the elves as they now easily outmatched the rest of the Evilus members in terms of strength.
Revis was immediately on the back foot. Now she had to face three levels 6's, not to mention that the Reaper was still around. As she was flung back again by the dwarf she looked around to try and find the half-elf that had become another issue to deal with. She couldn't make out where he was due to the Loki Familia running out of the room in full retreat or taking care of the remaining members of Evilus. Eventually, she managed to make the boy out. As she blocked another attack from Finn, she noticed he was standing where the Elves once were. Only one of them remained and she too was staring at the same place the boy was. At his feet lay a Siren clearly on death's door. It was the one that had taken her cursed attack head-on in the attempt to protect the elf that now stood next to the siren's dying corpse.
Suddenly, she felt a massive increase in pressure on her body. Revis knew what this was and where it was coming from. The half-elf was now facing her, his masked eyes solely focusing on her. She was confused as to why. Did he really care about those defective monsters? He had never cared about anyone in the years he was with Evilus but in just less than two years he has grown to care about monsters of all things. However, she had little time to continue the train of thought as one moment the boy was standing next to the dying Siren, and the next moment he was in front of her. The Reaper bared his pair of fangs straight at her throat. Though the speed was almost undetectable, he still wasn't close in strength to catch her full of guard like that.
"Petulant child, I'll re-teach you your place in this world," Revis said as she slammed her sword down. However, instead of colliding with the boy's head as she intended, she sliced through thin air. This was mainly due to the fact that she had been sent flying across the room by the battle axe once again.
"Ain't you the lad from Hestia Familia?" Gareth asked the hooded boy next to him. The level 6 could feel the wrath emanating from the boy, confused about how he had gotten here in the first place. The boy, in turn, gave no reply instead immediately dashing off to once again to confront Revis.
"Any help is welcome when facing her Gareth, let's go," Finn said, racing past his friend.
"Aye, agreed." The dwarf replied, quickly following the prum.
Revis could do little to now fend off attacks from such brutal opponents. Each time she blocked the golden spear, a pair of swords slashed at her throat. After dodging them, a large axe swung straight at her chest. Each and every time, she was being pushed further and further back, not being given a single chance to attack.
Finn and Gareth were both amazed by how quick the boy had integrated into the fighting pattern, not slowing them down one bit. However, the prum wasted little time on this matter, focusing on the next move. And that next move arrived just in time in the shape of an orange-haired elf.
"Now Lefiya!" Riveria shouted at her apprentice.
"Lad, Back off," Gareth warned the boy still entangled in the fight. The warning didn't appear to do anything. Lefiya had begun her chant and Finn and Gareth had now backed off.
"Oi lad, you need to move your arse or you're gettin' hit."
"He will be fine Gareth," Riveria shouted back.
"Aye, you saying he can deal with one of your own spells." The dwarf shouted back in worry and confusion
"Yes, I am." Riveria retorted, remembering her previous conversation with the young Hestia Familia member.
Lefiya on the other hand didn't want to hit the boy and was now starting to lose focus on her own spell, though a look from Riveria calmed her down again. The look which she had seen a few times.
'Trust me.'' It said.
So Lefiya continued her spell as the boy and creature battled on.
Revis really wanted to kill the boy now, she wanted nothing more at that moment. How the hell was he keeping up with her. It was only for 5 seconds but she should have easily killed him in that time. But each time she had cut him, he never slowed down in the slightest and continued to slam away at her, not halting his barrage for one second. And now she had to do what she hated most. As she saw the magic circle appear below her, Revis started to jump out of the way. A stupid move. Just as she turned, the boy's sword swung perfectly to catch her. And as she jumped out of the way in time before a massive barrage of fire pillars erupted from the ground, her hand fell to the floor, her sword clanging next to it.
"Rea Laevateinn!"
Revis retreated down the nearest hallway, anger searing through her body. As looked down at her already healing severed hand, she couldn't wait until the next battle where she would rip everyone of them apart.
Lefiya watched on as her magic destroyed the surrounding area in which it had erupted from. The roof above it started to melt away, as did the walls. Though she only cared about one thing and that was the boy she had entrapped in her flames. The elf had never killed someone, she couldn't bear to commit such an act and the thought that she had just crossed the line was about to make her vomit. But she trusted in her mentor and believed everything would be alright. And to her, Gareth's and Finn's surprise, as the flames disappeared, the hooded boy stood there, not a single sign of any pain having been inflicted on him as he stared down the hall the creature had retreated down.
Lefiya continued to watch as the boy started to slowly make his way towards where Alicia was standing. The feeling of anger subsided, getting ever less prominent. The elf girl was still standing next to the dying Siren, Lefiya still not knowing why. As the boy made it next to the elf, Lefiya noticed Riveria tense up, concentration on her face. This was shared by the other Loki Veteran's as well as they all looked on at the boy that they had concluded had made the mess they had walked over. Alicia looked up and almost jumped back in shock but then stopped herself as the boy sheathed his swords. He then bent down and to everyone's surprise, picked up the injured monster. He then looked back, more specifically at Finn. Seemingly getting the message, the Prum nodded and ordered the rest of the Loki Familia to finalise the retreat back through the way they came.
Fels watched as Nathan carried Rei on his back as he followed the Loki Familia out. As he passed the mage, he turned to look at him.
"Are you back Nathan?"
"Yeah, I am. Sorry about that." The boy whispered.
"We can discuss it another time, for now, it helped us out." The mage said, consoling the boy. "What do you plan on doing?"
Nathan let out a sigh. "I'm going to talk to Loki Familia."
"And do what, may I ask?"
"I'm going to offer myself up to help them with this," Nathan said. Fels understood what he meant.
"Are you sure Nathan, you will be exposing yourself?"
"I've already done that now anyway." The half-elf said back. "Bell and the rest of my family are out there, risking everything to do what they think is right. I'm going to do whatever I can to help them in achieving their goals. I will happily sacrifice my identity if it means they can win."
"Nathan." The mage gently spoke, not knowing what to make of the boy's confession. "You really have become a better person. I don't think you are what you think you are anymore." The mage said.
"Really? From what I've just experienced I don't think I've changed at all." The half-elf said, looking down as the reality truly hit him on what he had just done.
Before the two could continue the conversation, another voice interrupted.
"Are you lot coming then?"
"Finn Deimne!" Fels said in shock at the voice of the Loki captain.
Finn was standing at the exit, looking at them. He clearly meant what he said.
"Lyd, follow the Loki Familia," Fels said without a second of hesitation. He was going to take this chance, even if it only meant the smallest chance of winning he would take it.
"Got it!" The lizardman said as he and the rest of the Xenos raced out of the room.
Nathan led them away, being the one in between the Loki Familia and the Xenos, still carrying the wounded Rei and his back. As he was still focused on what he would say to try and help, he didn't notice the presence that appeared behind them all.
As the masked warrior watched the last of the Loki Familia and the Xenos disappear out of the room and behind the closing door, Ein started to walk back towards its God, about to report on what it had just seen.
"Unorthodox monsters, I would like to negotiate with you." Finn Demine said. It shocked everyone to a standstill, monsters and Loki Familia alike. Only Riveria kept going as she was still healing Rei, not bothering to look up. She was still keeping one eye on the half-elf that had laid the Siren down for her to heal, as he too hadn't looked up at Finn's bold statement. The two elves listened in on what The Braver had to say.
"I would like to use you on the assault on Knossos."
It was that that finally caused the half-elf to look up at Finn. Riveria saw him clench his fists slightly.
"Braver, you are one of the only ones we thought was impossible to gain our trust. Sorry. But we know your true intentions so we can't trust you."
"The armed monsters have proven they won't attack us and some members in my family have proven that they can't hold up arms towards you." This caused some elves to twitch. "Not to mention, you already have other people backing you up as well," Finn said, gesturing to Nathan.
Nathan listened to Finn continue talking, mentioning how he would become a true hero, making Nathan want to spit at the Prum but he held his tongue. The half-elf knew this was the only chance they had right now and he wouldn't ruin it with his personal opinions.
"Very well, we shall make a deal with you Finn Deimne," Fels stated. Shortly after, the Xenos started to leave, following Fels. The mage had asked Nathan the easiest way to get to the dungeon and upon listening to the half-elf, the mage led the monsters away from the Loki Familia. However, quite a few people picked up on the fact that the half-elf knew his way around Knossos well enough to give directions. And on top of what they saw when they entered the room, with over a hundred corpses around where the half-elf stood. Then the elves who were actually there to witness it. All had felt the anger as well that some of the younger people had mentioned when they had been on lookout duty.
Nathan was now all alone in a room full of the strongest adventurers in Orario and he knew they were all thinking the same thing. Who is he and can he be trusted.
"I believe your name is Nathan of the Hestia Familia?" Finn said. "Would I be correct?"
"Yes, you would." The quiet voice responded
"Your Familia well today. Did you see what your captain did?"
This caused the boy to almost freeze, ready to anticpate what ever the prum said next.
"I assume not as you were here. Well you will probably find out later but it was nothing short of mesmorizing if I do say so."
"Get to the point, Braver." Nathan coldly said.
"Now, I would very much like to know how not only you got into Knossos in the first place but also how you know your way around it well enough to give directions?" Finn started.
"While your Familia was out there fighting for something they believed in, you were down here, seemingly not helping them."
This ony caused more distress for the half-elf as the words of the prum hit home.
"It was Bell Cranel's very own actions that brought me to the conclusion I just made. Tell me, what is it you are going to do." Finn, the Braver finished with.
To answer that, Nathan took a deep breath, stood up and reached into his pocket. As all the Loki Familia stared at him, their captain and high executives all faced off against the lone boy. Holding out a key of Knossos in his hand, Nathan spoke.
"Finn Deimne, I would like to negotiate."
The battle of Knossos has been written, yet has only jsut begun. I am now officiall switching over to LN 11 and 12 of sword Oratoria for the next few chapters. Yes of couse the expedition will be named and used in a way I very much like but for now it is Knossos time baby!
AS you probably could tell, I kinda poorly summarized some dialogue between Xenos and Riveria but I don't want to just copy straight out of the books. I'm here to write something different, not the just plagerise Oomiri's work. Didn't you read the top bit, I don't own Danamchi so it's a big no no for me.
Anyway, I'm happy I got this done as quickly as I thought I would.
Reviews:
Jank7457: She ain't the only one but yeah, there are going to be a few fun awkard moment between Nathan and Loki Familia that I'm just itching to write.
alex882: Thanks man. Ye, I also enjoyed the fight with Tione. Of course Nathan don't stand a chance in a fair 1 v1 against a level 6 but he showed how he can at least slow them down. And I hoped you enjoyed the first of the three Knossos fights. This was only a small teaser tbf as I am hopefully going to wirte a lot more for the next two.
And with that, hope you enjoyed and see ya next time, peace!
