Garbageman

"Let's just say that we have currently found ourselves in yet another fine mess."

Alex and the Turtles are currently running alongside the shore of an island within the New York bay full of junk.

But then they stopped when the four of them saw something approaching. Mikey's attention was on the puddle of orange coloured sludge that he stepped in.

"Eww!" He cringed in disgust as he lifted his foot.

"Quite literally."

The five all hid in the shadows because of an approaching spotlight, courtesy of a yellow jeep that drove past on a nearby road.

As it went past, the five all climbed up a cliff face.

"This night has already been strange enough, but all of that is nothing…"

The five made it to the top and were shocked to find a complex that looked like a mix of a concentration camp and a prison with two towers with spotlights and homeless people in chains as a workforce.

"...compared to this."

A huge whatever it is started rising up from a pool of the orange sludge, surprising them.

In a random alleyway, two homeless men, one lanky, the other chubby with thick facial hair, scrounged their way through a bin, looking for anything, whether it was food or something of interest that they could sell for a bit of money.

They kept throwing out stuff that was just useless until the chubby one came across a glass bottle, not broken, or even having a small crack.

"Bingo." He grinned as he twirled it.

"Don't break it, fumble fingers. Every nickel counts." The lanky one freaked out.

"I never break 'em." Chubby argued against him.

"You break 'em all the time." Lanky reminded him with a chuckle.

"Yeah, I guess I do." Chubby chuckled as he put the bottle in a pocket on his coat. "That's it for this gold mine." He put the bin aside. "Let's move on."

They walked down the alleyway, chubby humming a tune.

However, they were unaware that a large black garbage truck with red tinted windows crept up behind them.

The pair started looking through a dumpster when they heard the engine from the garbage truck.

"What the -?" Lanky gasped before the garbage truck shined its red coloured headlights on them and started driving up to them.

The pair ran and screamed for their lives, the garbage truck giving chase.

They ended up reaching a dead end, forcing them to face the vehicle.

"No!" They screamed as a pair of metal claws came out of either side of the truck and grabbed them by their heads, pulling them into the truck, the glass bottle falling out and shattering on the floor.

The garbage truck then pulled out into the street and drove off, the only evidence of what happened being the shattered glass bottle, though it wasn't proof of anything bad happening to anyone else.

Elsewhere, at a dump site where a large number of homeless people live with a small ghetto village and some fires to keep them warm for the night, Alex and the Turtles arrived, having befriended the people living there, and started scrounging the place for anything that can help improve the lair.

Well, except for Mikey, who was goofing off on a skateboard, riding around the place.

"Alright! Green, mean and totally extreme! Booyah!" He cheered as he made a jump and rode past his brothers, in between Alex, Donnie and Raph, all looking at him in annoyance.

Soon, Raph came across some rather disgusting red coloured slime that coated his right hand.

"Ugh." He groaned in disgust as he tried to wipe it off. "Hey, Don, you don't want something that's so gross you don't want to touch it, right?"

"If it's gonna improve the lair, we can use it." Donnie replied as Alex put a pipe in the shopping cart they're all using to put the stuff they need in.

Mikey cheered as he made another jump.

"Why isn't Mikey helping? It's not fair, I -" Raph complained.

"Let me put this way, which is more tolerable: happy Mikey or bored Mikey?" Alex asked him as Mikey rode past them, laughing.

"Right." Raph replied, understanding what Alex was implying: that if Mikey did help them out, he'd do nothing but whine and complain to the point of making his brothers suffer.

Eventually, Mikey skidded to a stop and kicked his skateboard into his hand just as his brothers were finished scrounging and walked up to the homeless people.

"Hey, thanks for the shopping cart, guys." Donnie thanked them.

One of them, an older African American man, stood.

"Hope you found some useful items amid the refuse, my friends." He said with a proud smile.

"We sure did, Professor." Alex gestured a casual salute.

"The kid and them guys in the big turtle suits are back." A blonde man said to his brunette friend who was poking the fire they sat around.

"Yep." His friend replied.

"You ever wonder why they dress up like that?" The blonde asked.

"Nope." The brunette shook his head.

"Here are some things we picked up for you." The Professor said as he walked up to the brothers with a bag, reaching in and pulling out a circuit board he handed to Donnie. "An undamaged circuit board for you, sir." He then pulled out a comic book. "A near mint condition comic book for you, my green lad. Last time you said you were collecting them."

"Thanks, Professor." Mikey said with a grateful smile.

"And here is that book on gladiators you've been looking for, Alexander." The Professor handed Alex a book called Those About to Die.

"Thank you so much, Professor. It took me forever to try and find a copy." Alex bowed his thanks with a smile. He's been fascinated with gladiators ever since he saw the film called Gladiator, second favourite film after Seven Samurai.

"Here, we brought some blankets and warm clothes." Donnie said as he came from the back of the Battle Shell with a pile of blankets and clothes, handing them to the Professor as some of the homeless approached, eager for the new delivery. "They're a little worn, but they should help at night."

"One man's refuse is another man's treasure." The Professor said as one by one, the clothes and blankets were taken. "You know, there is a theory that we are all recycled."

"Another theory, that's the fifth one today." The blonde commented, as it was common for the Professor to make various theories that deal with the idea of recycling.

"Yep." His brunette friend agreed with him.

"The Big Bang Theory says that all matter has been exploding, then imploding, then exploding again since the beginning of time. Our very molecules are being recycled." The Professor explained his theory, which left Alex, Raph and Mikey looking at each other in confusion.

"Did you get any of that?" Blonde asked his friend.

"Nope." His friend shook his head.

"You know, I just finished a book on the Big Bang. I'll bring it by later." Donnie told the Professor, who shook his hand.

"Much obliged, Donatello. Much obliged." He said with a smile while Raph turned his head towards the homeless, noticing something odd.

"Hey, are there fewer of you here than usual?" He asked.

"Yeah, there's less of you here than we last stopped by. What happened?" Alex asked, as he had that nagging thought ever since they popped by tonight.

"A lot of guys gone missing lately. Plus it's weird. They don't take their stuff." Blonde replied.

"Yep." Brunette added.

"I have a theory about that." The Professor said.

"Another one?" Blonde groaned in annoyance.

"There has been talk of a terrifying figure who takes us away in the dead of night. His name is whispered in fear. They call him the Garbageman." The Professor explained with deadly seriousness.

But Alex and the Turtles all laughed, finding it to be a bit ridiculous.

"You almost had me going there. The Garbageman, jeez. Gotta roll, guys." Raph said as he pushed the shopping cart to the back of the Battle Shell, and as Leo and Mikey got in the vehicle.

"Do make sure you let us know if any of your friends show up." Alex said as he shook hands with the Professor.

"Or if anyone else disappears." Donnie added as he shook hands with him as well.

Joining their brothers, they all took off in the Battle Shell back to the lair. Both Alex and Mikey were busy reading their gifts from the Professor.

"That was majorly creepy." Mikey said. "You think any of it's true?"

"Hey, whatever it is, if the Professor is worried, we should take it seriously." Donnie replied in the driver's seat, Raph sitting next to him in the passenger seat.

"Seriously, huh? Guess that leaves Mikey out." Raph mocked.

"What?" Mikey asked, offended.

"He's not wrong. You do tend to make a joke out of everything." Alex sided with Raph, earning a glare from Mikey, but he ignored it as he kept reading his book.

Back at the dump site, all of the homeless sat around a fire as the Professor was giving a lecture.

"And so we see, in conclusion, that the space time continuum is -" He was interrupted when they all heard a vehicle approaching. He turned to see the black garbage truck. "My word."

Its red headlights shined on all of them through a fence, which it drove through.

All of the homeless, except the Professor all screamed and ran in all directions.

The truck ran into and destroyed a makeshift hut and soon the whole place was on fire.

"It's him! It's the Garbageman!" One of the homeless shouted in fear, making the Professor cry out in terror.

As two of the homeless climbed over a fence, another tried to do the same, but was caught by one of the claws of the truck, as well as another homeless person, all being dropped inside the vehicle.

Both the blonde and brunette ran as the truck soon chased after them, crashing through some wooden boxes like they were nothing.

Eventually, blonde tripped and fell and when his friend tried to help him up, they were grabbed by the truck's claws and were dumped into the vehicle itself.

The Professor soon found momentum in his legs and ran towards a fence when the truck focused on him, being the remaining homeless person there.

Before he could even try to climb over, the truck had trapped him.

"You shall not have me, you behemoth! LEVIATHAN! MONSTROSITY!" He swore with his fist up in anger.

The two claws grabbed parts of the fence, ripped a part of it off and wrapped it around the Professor to lift him up and drop him inside the truck.

It then drove through the fence and out into the night.

Some time later, around an hour or two, Alex arrived at the now ruined dumpsite on Raph's Shell Cycle with a white helmet, which he took off and looked around in horror.

"What the shell?" He gasped. "Professor? Are you alright? Professor, where are you?"

He shut off the Shell Cycle and got up, looking around the site, noting how trashed the place was and it seemed as though a vehicle drove through here.

Alex then noticed dark liquid on the ground, so he knelt down to graze a finger on it and sniffed it.

"Must be some kind of high grade hydraulic fluid." He muttered to himself.

Alex then spotted the torn down fence and walked towards it, shocked to see truly large tire tracks.

"Oh, no…." He muttered in horror, realising that the Garbageman must be real. He then grabbed his Shell-cell and called up Donnie.

"Donnie, get yourself and the others down here now. They're kidnapped." He said gravelly.

Within a short amount of time, his turtle brothers showed up in the Battle Shell and Alex explained what he knew for sure happened.

"It's obvious, the Garbageman showed up and took them all to who knows where." Alex said as Leo and Donnie examined the tire tracks and hydraulic fluid.

"Hope they're okay." Mikey said as he entered the back of the Battle Shell.

"Don, can you run an internet search for police reports?" Leo asked Donnie.

"Already checked. Nothing on missing homeless. Nobody's noticed, or cares." Donnie replied sadly.

"Typical." Alex spat in contempt. Regardless of them being homeless, they're still people.

"Meanwhile, somebody's snatching our buds." Raph added with anger.

"We need to hit the streets." Leo decided their next course of action.

"It's trench coat wearing time." Mikey stated as he appeared wearing a long trench coat and a hat.

All his brothers looked at him in annoyance, making him chuckle nervously.

And so all five brothers put on trench coats and hats, spread throughout the city, talking to the homeless about the Garbageman.

Leo spoke to a couple of them in an alleyway.

Raph spoke to another couple of homeless in a street with a light shining down on them with steam rising up from the sewers.

Mikey spoke to another couple in the park, sitting on a bench.

Alex spoke to three of them at a subway station.

Donnie met one that kept himself warm by a bin fire and talked with him before walking off.

After all of that was done, the five made it back to the lair, where Donnie was working on the computer while the rest either sat on the couch in exhaustion or stood.

Leo put his hat on the coffee table and Mikey groaned as he sat down, the former walking up to Donnie as he put his katanas in their scabbards.

"Have you got anything, Don?" Leo asked.

"Virtually everyone we talked to knew someone who had disappeared." Donnie replied before working on his computer again, this time, showing a map of New York and putting markers on where the disappearances happened. "I programmed in a marker for each one."

Almost every single one was in the docks.

"Whoa, looks like the action's down by the docks." Mikey said as he, Alex and Raph got up and looked at the computer.

"Then that's our next stop." Leo told his brothers.

The following night, they set a plan in motion to draw the Garbageman out.

It involved Mikey, putting on a trench coat and hat, standing by a bin fire, looking like a homeless person in the warehouse district to lure the Garbageman.

Within the shadows, the Battle Shell was parked where the rest of his brothers sat and waited.

"Can somebody explain why it's always me who's the bait? Especially when we're hunting shark?" Mikey asked through the headset he was wearing.

"Jeez, what a whiner. Almost wish he would get grabbed." Raph complained in the passenger seat next to Alex, who was in the driver's seat.

"But we ultimately don't want that, do we?" Alex replied, as Mikey's their brother and they stick together, no matter what.

Leo then spun his chair as he sighed to face Donnie.

"Nothing's happening. Let's call it a night." He said and Donnie nodded in agreement.

"Come back, Mikey, we're outta here." Donnie told Mikey through the comms.

"Sure…" Mikey said with relief, which evaporated when he turned to see the large black garbage truck pulling up towards him with its red headlights shining on him. "...thing? Um, guys, the shark is here. And he's humming the theme from Jaws!"

"Hit it!" Leo told Alex, who slammed on the accelerator and got to Mikey before the truck did, allowing him to get inside the Battle Shell and the garbage truck soon started chasing the Battle Shell, it's claws out.

"It's a garbage truck!" Raph yelled as the truck rammed into the back of the Battle Shell. "A stinking garbage truck!"

"What else did you expect?" Alex replied as he swerved a bit to avoid getting rammed, but it just kept coming.

"Yeah, Garbageman drives a garbage truck. What's the problem, Raph?" Mikey added as he was trying to take his trench coat off and got thrown off balance from the truck ramming into them.

Eventually, Alex had to pull over, allowing the garbage truck to drive past and then Alex hit the accelerator to now start chasing the truck down the walkway.

The garbage truck's back opened up and a flamethrower shot fire right into the Battle Shell's windscreen, which made Mikey scream like a girl as Alex drove the Battle Shell through the fire.

"Uh, sorry about the girly scream." Mikey apologised, earning shaking heads from Alex and Raph.

Alex hit the accelerator and caught up with the truck, now side by side.

"Come on, you punk." He snarled.

The truck then unleashed a buzzsaw of some kind and sliced through the side of the Battle Shell, barely missing Donnie.

"Whoa!" He yelped as he dived out of the way.

Knowing this, Alex swerved the Battle Shell sharply to the right, making Mikey trip and fall as the garbage truck was now ahead of them again.

"I think it's time to teach this punk a lesson or two." Alex told Raph, who nodded in agreement, before he slammed an open palm on a button.

This made turbo boosters pop out from the sides on the back of the Battle Shell, as well as the front bumpers popping out. The boosters fired, making the vehicle gain speed and ram into the back of the garbage truck, making it lose control.

Naturally, the brothers all cheered.

"If you like that, you'll love this." Alex said as he reached for a button, but Donnie grabbed his shoulder.

"May I?" He asked.

"Knock yourself out." Alex replied.

Donnie pressed a button, which made a rocket launcher pop out of the roof of the Battle Shell and fire three rockets at the garbage truck, hitting its back and causing a smokescreen.

"Yeah, got him!" Mikey cheered.

However, they all gasped in shock when they saw that the garbage truck kept driving and wasn't even dented.

"We need bigger missiles." Mikey said/

"I don't know if that'll help." Alex replied sceptically.

The truck then started to deliberately spill oil on the walkway.

"HANG ON! OIL SLICKAGE COMING RIGHT UP!" Alex shouted as he slammed on the brakes and found himself spinning on the oil, with Mikey looking like he's gonna throw up.

"If you guys forgot what we had for dinner, I think I'm about to remind you." He said as he held his stomach and then covered his mouth as he ran off.

The truck rammed through a fence as the Battle Shell continued spinning out of control. Soon they found themselves about to tip over the boardwalk.

"Everybody, hold on!" Donnie yelled as pressed a button, making a grappling hook shout out from the back of the Battle Shell and grabbed onto a pillar, preventing the Battle Shell from tipping fully into the water, making the five brothers yelp from the sudden motion.

Then they all jumped out from the back of the vehicle and landed on the boardwalk.

"Look!" Mikey pointed at the garbage truck, which ended up in the water. They all ran to the end of the boardwalk and cheered as it started to sink.

"TMHNT, what you get is what you see." Mikey sang and danced like a cheerleader, making his brothers all look at him blankly, very unamused.

"You do realise just how embarrassing that is?" Alex asked

Then they all watched the garbage truck sink until they couldn't see it.

"Now, let's see who crawls out of this thing." Leo smirked.

"I've got a few things to discuss with it." Raph added as he twirled his sais.

However, a red light shined brightly from where the truck sank.

"What the shell?" Leo said, expressing everyone's surprise as they watched the light head towards an island in the harbour, which had some smoke coming out of it.

They all made it back to the lair, where Donnie did research about that island, soon finding some information, as well as a logo, depicting a bin loading garbage into a landfill.

"So, turns out this is the best run landfill operation not just in the city, but the entire country." He told his brothers.

"Best run doesn't mean best. It just means most profitable." Leo corrected him.

"And therefore, not so humane." Alex added, frowning at the idea of how the homeless over there are treated.

"Come on, guys. What could they really be up to out there? They're right in the middle of the city harbour." Raph questioned.

"If business is as good as Don says, anything they want to." Leo replied grimly.

"Yeah, payoffs in the right hands can go a long way, especially to keep people's noses out of it." Alex added.

"So we need to check this place out." Leo said and he, Alex and Donnie headed for the exit.

"Something stinks on that island, and it ain't the garbage." Mikey remarked in an impression of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

"Yeah, keep trying, Mikey." Raph patted his shell before following his brothers. "Someday you'll get a winner."

"Hey, come on, that was pretty good." Mikey moaned before following the others.

The five made their way to the end of a large pipe at the harbour, giving them a clear view of the island.

"Looks harmless." Donnie noted.

"Bet it won't be when we actually get there." Alex replied.

"It's quiet. Maybe too quiet." Leo then said.

"Now, see, how does Leo make that line work?" Mikey asked, going off topic.

"Enough." Leo shushed him. "Let's go."

And so they all dived into the water and swam towards the island underwater, everyone doing the breaststroke, except for Mikey, who rested his hands under his head and kicked his feet while swimming backwards.

Leo gestured everyone in his direction and they all soon surfaced by the shore of the island.

They all ran along the shore towards a nearby junk pile, though Mikey ended up stepping into some disgusting orange coloured sludge.

"Ugh! I don't want to know what I just stepped in." He moaned as he lifted his foot.

"Mikey, focus!" Raph hissed.

Mikey was starting to walk towards him when a spotlight appeared between them, which made them and the others hide from sight.

This spotlight came from a yellow jeep with two men, one driving and the other using the spotlight, which drove past them, looking for any and all intruders.

The five all hid behind a large rock that the jeep drove past and soon started climbing up a cliff face made of garbage, missing another spotlight from another jeep.

Once they all reached the top, they were shocked to find a complex that looked like a mix of a prison and a concentration camp with two towers that had spotlights watching over the place, And there were many homeless people there, all cuffed up by their ankles.

"Unbelievable." Leo muttered in disbelief.

"They've become slaves." Alex snarled in utter rage.

Within the complex, a whole line of the homeless passed buckets of trash from one to another. And some others were carrying piles of trash or looking among the trash and collecting trinkets.

The chubby one with the thick facial hair ended up tripping up and fell when he was carrying a sack of trash. One of the guards, dressed in yellow, walked up to him.

"Get up!" He growled before shocking the homeless man with a taser.

"This is making me sick." Raph snarled, a feeling Alex shared, pulling out a sai and preparing to get down there and wreak havoc, but Leo stopped him.

Eventually, all of the homeless were forced to go to the large pool of the orange coloured sludge, some getting shocked if they were too slow.

"Move along!" A guard told one of these slow homeless people.

Once they gathered around the pool, the garbage truck rose up from within.

"Eww. Gross." Mikey groaned.

The sludge fell off the truck, which rode up a boarded ramp to the top of the hill, where it backed up against a slide, when it opened its back and some more homeless people it captured fell out and slid down into a pile of trash, with everyone else watching helplessly.

"That's it." Raph snarled, so sick and tired of sitting and doing nothing.

"Hold on, Raph. Look." Leo told him, pointing at the garbage truck.

It stopped in between two guards and opened up in various parts until a ramp opened up in the front, where a very obese, disgusting and slobbering man rolled out in some highly advanced wheelchair with two claws at the back. He wore a white tank top that was absolutely dirty, his arms were covered in dirt and flies buzzed around his head.

He laughed with malice, like he was some kind of ruler. There's no doubt, this is the Garbageman.

"That is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen." Mikey said, pointing at him.

"Just this once, I totally agree with you." Raph replied.

"Same here." Alex added.

"Greetings, filth!" The Garbageman addressed all the homeless people, who all looked at him in horror. He then pressed a button that activated a microphone to make his voice heard all over. "Garbage is power!"

"If that's true, then this guy's Superman." Mikey commented.

"Before I brought you to this island, you were nothing but human garbage!" The Garbageman started as the guards tasered the homeless onto their knees. "No home, no purple, no value! But now, I have recycled you, given you work sifting through the refuse the city stupidly squandered, to build my fortune!"

Alex and the Turtles now stood and wielded their weapons, beyond disgusted at the Garbageman, not just with his appearance, but also with his actions and motivation.

"Behold the birth of my empire, invisible to the outside world until it is too late!" The Garbageman continued, stroking his self ego and narcissism even more.

Among the homeless, the Professor stood up in defiance.

"I'd rather be a free man, living on the streets, than a slave in your stinking empire!" He said boldly.

"Guards, silence him! Get these ungrateful beasts back to work now!" The Garbageman bellowed out, the Professor getting tasered.

"That's it! Time to take out the trash!" Raph snarled.

"About time!" Alex agreed with him before all of them, except MIkey, jumped down and ran the way down.

Mikey noticed a nearby board and decided to use it like a skateboard, riding his way down.

"New concept, guys, garbageboarding!" He slid down a pathway. "Yahoo!"

The other four landed on a boardwalk and then charged into the complex with Mikey riding alongside them.

"Come and get some, you punks!" Alex shouted, getting the attention of the Garbageman and his guards, the latter charging towards the five brothers.

Donnie used his staff like a pole to kick a guard in the chest while Alex slid at another's feet, knocking him on his back and both Raph and Leo kicked the others in the chest like Donnie.

"Cowabunga!" Mikey cried out as he whacked another pair of guards with his board.

He and his brothers then all ran to the homeless and used their weapons to free them from their chains.

Now that they were free, the homeless people all picked up pipes and metal poles and chased after the guards, outnumbering them.

As this was happening, both blonde and brunette stood to the side, watching this.

"This is just like a big action movie, ain't it?" Blonde asked.

"Yep." Brunette agreed with him.

Both Alex and Donnie ran to the Professor, who was on his knees.

"Are you alright, Professor?" Alex asked as they helped him up.

"Never felt better, Alexander." The Professor reassured him.

"Well, it looks like your buddies have the guards pretty much under control." Donnie added, pointing at the homeless people, who still chased after the guards, who started climbing up a pile of garbage, but ended up being pulled down to suffer their justified punishments.

"And may I take this opportunity to encourage the two of you to kick that so-called Garbageman's stinking derriere?" The Professor suggested as their brothers joined them.

"No problem." Alex glared at the Garbageman as they all made their way to face the disgusting individual.

"What's this? They're sending a brat and his freaks against me? I'll dispose of this genetic refuse!" The Garbageman exclaimed as he backed up when they faced him on the boardwalk.

"It's garbage day, fat man. Time to take your can out to the curb." Mikey joked.

"What?" The Garbageman said, very unamused.

"Uh, how about time to dump you in the dumpster, smelly boy." Mikey joked again.

"You, shut up!" The Garbageman snapped angrily.

He swung one of his claws at Mikey, who jumped out of the way, making the claw hit the boardwalk.

Both Alex and Leo made an attempt, leaping at him and swung their katanas at him, getting blocked by the claws until they both landed on his advanced wheelchair. They were about to strike him, but the Garbageman backed up, making them jump off.

He backed up onto the hill and then fired some rockets, trying to hit Alex and the Turtles, who all ran after him, Raph jumping just as a rocket struck the boardwalk.

Then they started running and jumping up the hill after the Garbagemen, who still backed up. He laughed as he then brought out a hose from the back of his wheelchair, shooting out muck, which all the brothers dodged, except for Raph, who was pelted with the disgusting substance.

Donnie yelled as he threw his staff at the hose, blocking it and making it build pressure.

"What?" The Garbageman gasped before the hose exploded, spraying the muck all over as Donnie caught his staff.

"You brats!" The Garbageman snarled before firing a flamethrower, which Mikey dodged, jumping back and sliding on the muck until he stopped next to his brothers.

"Can we finish this?" Raph asked, still caked in the muck, making Alex gag from the smell.

"Hey, dude, you gotta hit the showers." Mikey joked.

"I will recycle every one of you into the ground!" The Garbageman declared as Mikey walked up to him, making him back up the hill some more.

"Hey, garbage brain, if you fight as bad as you smell, we are in trouble." Mikey continued joking.

"I told you to SHUT UP!" The Garbageman snapped as he tried to get Mikey with his claws again, but Mikey jumped over him and went up the hill.

"Come back here!" The Garbageman demanded as he turned his wheelchair around and chased after Mikey and his brothers, who joined him, except for Donnie, reaching the edge of a cliff.

"There's no place to run!" The Garbageman bragged, unaware that Donnie came up behind him and opened a hatch to mess up his wheelchair. "Now I've got you!"

Both Leo and Raph jumped at him, getting swatted away with ease by his claws, Leo knocking Donnie back away from the hatch.

Alex made an attempt, but not by jumping. He charged at the Garbageman and dodged one of his claws, which he used to jump off of and miss the other claw, slashing at his arm, making him bleed. He screamed and managed to grab Alex before he could evade him and slammed him on the ground next to Raph.

The Garbageman then grabbed Mikey by his arms with his claws and held him over the edge.

"Prepare to be recycled." He sneered into Mikey's face.

"Put him down, garbage freak!" Raph warned him as he and his brothers got back up.

Donnie then threw his staff like a spear at the opened hatch of the wheelchair, making it short circuit, affecting the claws, which let Mikey go, who grabbed onto the edge and flipped over the Garbageman and landed amongst his brothers.

The Garbageman was freaking out as his wheelchair moved on its own, reversing at the edge of the cliff and backing off it, screaming as he fell into the water.

All five brothers ran up to the edge and watched him sink.

"There's no way someone that big can swim." Alex said, so sure of what he said.

"We've gotta do something." Leo sighed.

"I knew you were gonna say that." Raph said in acceptance before they all dived into the water.

They all swam towards where the Garbageman sank, but all they found was his wheelchair. There was no sign of him at all, shocking them.

With this, they surfaced.

"No sign of him here." Leo said.

"How did that fat geezer even get out?" Alex said in disbelief.

"I don't know, but he's gone, either way." Donnie replied.

As the sun rose, beginning a new day, a barge arrived and picked up the guards, who took off for the city, though the homeless people, including the Professor, decided to stay on the island.

"What's up, Professor?" Donnie asked him, making him turn to face the brothers.

"We voted to stay here. There's food and shelter. The Garbageman was right about one thing: people do throw away a lot of valuable items." The Professor replied as the homeless gathered up around him.

"Watch out for him. Something that evil always comes back." Raph warned him, making Mikey kick up dust.

"Now see? That worked. How do you come up with those?" He complained.

"Quit recycling the old ones, Mikey. Keep looking for something new." Raph replied as they all walked off, starting the way back home.

I can't believe that it took this long to realise that the person voicing the Professor is the same voice actor for Yugi and Yami for the English dub for Yu-Gi-Oh. You'd think I'd know this sooner, because I grew up with Yu-Gi-Oh.
