The Shredder Strikes - Part 1

"Master Splinter has always told us in our training that if given two choices…"

It was a stormy night, lightning flashing the sky, and Alex and the Turtles stood on a rooftop facing the ninjas they have faced three times previously, wielding their weapons.

"...choose the hard path, no matter what."

All of the ninjas soon parted, revealing a figure wearing a suit of sharp Japanese armour with his left gauntlet having two prongs and a kabuto helmet that covered his face, only revealing red eyes.

"But when you're in a family that includes Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as your brothers, the hard path just chooses you, regardless."

The figure raised his gauntlet just as lightning struck, showing he's ready to fight the five brothers.

In the lair, all five brothers were having weapons practise against each other and naturally had egos about their own weapons, which is to be expected.

Leo tried to hit Raph with one of his katanas, but was blocked by his sais and Raph then kicked him away, giving Donnie a chance to strike with his bo staff, but got blocked by his katana.

"You know what I like best about weapons practise? The weapons." Raph smirked as he admired his sais.

Mikey ran over to him and jumped over him, wrapping a nunchuck around one of his sais and threw him over his shoulders.

"Too bad you're stuck with those lame toothpicks, and not a real weapon like the nunchucks." Mikey bragged, spinning his nunchuck.

But not even a second later, Donnie swiped at his feet with his staff, knocking him down.

"Sorry, Mikey." Donnie said as he pole vaulted past his brother and spun his weapon. "But the bo staff is where it's at."

"Come on, boys, put the child's toys away." Alex smirked as he and Leo twirled their katanas.

"Yeah, katanas is the only way to play!" Leo added as they leapt in the air and defeated their brothers with quick succession, all knocked onto their shells.

"What did we tell you? Katanas are pretty sweet, huh?" Leo grinned as he brandished his katanas while Alex put his in his scabbard.

"Nice one, you two." Donnie groaned as he sat up.

"Lucky." Raph muttered bitterly.

"Not so lucky for my tail. It just got kicked!" Mikey moaned.

"Well fought, Leonardo and Alexander." Splinter said as he approached them from near the elevator door.

All five brothers lined up from Leo to Alex, Mikey, Donnie and Raph.

"Thank you, Sensei." They both said as they bowed.

"The both of you won, but do you know why?" Splinter then asked the sword wielding pair.

Alex was about to answer, but Leo spoke before he could.

"Well, we have the superior weapons. I read where sword master, Musashi, said the katana blade holds the soul of steel and is the truest guide to the warrior's way. Which is kinda how I feel." Leo explained, Alex shaking his head slightly, which Splinter noticed.

"Many things are said, but few are true." Splinter replied to Leo, surprising him as he didn't expect such a response, whereas Alex did.

"Master Splinter's got that look." Raph whispered to Donnie and Mikey with a grin.

"I think somebody's gonna get it." Donnie added, making Mikey snigger.

"Michelangelo!" Splinter snapped, making said turtle gasp.

"Do you think I am funny?" Splinter asked.

"Um, yeah." Mikey replied, making his brothers cringe. "I mean, sometimes. There was that time you told that joke about the ox and the sparrow. It wasn't really a joke, but it was funny and -" He got elbowed by Donnie, telling him to stop and just answer. "I mean, no, Master Splinter."

Sprinter sighed before placing his walking stick against a pillar and faced Leo.

"Leonardo, attack me with your katana." He requested, making Alex and the rest step back, knowing that Leo's about to be taught a lesson.

"But what about Alex?" Leo asked.

"He's not the one that needs to be taught right now. So, do it now!" Splinter replied.

Leo yelled as he swung his katana down at his father, only for it to get caught between Splinter's hands over his head, making Leo gasp. The rest, except for Alex, looked on with surprise.

"Is this the great and glorious weapon of which you speak? Helpless before an old rat such as myself." Splinter questioned before he let go of the katana. "Again, with both."

Leo made some slices at Splinter, who not only dodged the, but also grabbed his walking stick and blocked Leo's attacks with ease until he knocked them out of Leo's hands and then pointed it right in Leo's face.

"In the hands of a true ninjutsu master, anything can be a deadly weapon." Splinter explained, leaving Leo embarrassed and his brothers, except for Alex, laughed at him.

"Remember, a weapon is only as good as the arm that wields it, Leonardo." Splinter explained further before throwing his walking stick right at Raph's punching bag, getting embedded right through it.

"Until you have learned this lesson, you have learned nothing." Splinter then told him, leaving Leo upset.

So torn up about what happened earlier, Leo went topside and stood on a rooftop, anger boiling within him.

"I don't get it!" He snarled as he pulled out his katanas before jumping. "What haven't I learned?" He then ran back to where he stood. "My skill's the best it's ever been!"

He jumped and landed next to a stack of newspapers, which he kicked up in the air and cut the string around them, cutting the newspapers into stars.

"I JUST DON'T GET IT!" He yelled before he calmed down as the stars fell. "Master Splinter just doesn't understand how important these swords are to me!"

"He does." He heard Alex say from behind him, making him turn to see him leaning against the frame holding the water tower up.

"How long have you been there?" Leo asked his human brother, who got off the frame and walked up to him.

"I've followed you after you left the lair." Alex replied. "Master Splinter wasn't trying to mock your weapons or you."

"Then what am I missing? Why didn't he single you out as well?" Leo asked, begging for an answer.

"Because he was trying to tell you that the weapon wasn't what made you beat the others. It was your skill." Alex explained, placing a hand on Leo's shoulder, making him look directly at him. "He didn't single me out because I understood this. I didn't just train with my katana. Remember? I trained in other weapons, and even with rulers, pipes and even spoons. Like he said, a weapon is only as good as the arm that wields it. That's why he beat you with just his hands and his walking stick."

He let Leo ponder his words and soon realised that he was right. He remembered how he and Alex put more focus on their training in comparison to their brothers, which resulted in them being better skilled, the fact that they had katanas didn't mean a thing.

"You're right. If I was trained in using tonfas, I still would've beaten them." Leo said. "I guess I should train like you have. Thanks, Alex. I needed to hear that."

"Hey, no matter how different we are, we're family, and family helps each other, no matter what." Alex reassured him, giving him a hug, which Leo returned.

Unbeknownst to them, a ninja, of the same kind the two and their brothers fought three times previous, was on a nearby rooftop, aiming an arrow at them with a note tied to it.

They fired the shot and the two sensed the shot, so they sliced the arrow before it could hit either of them. They looked in the direction the arrow came from as they put their katanas away, but the ninja had disappeared the moment he fired the shot.

Leo then picked up the note.

"Okay, it's not your regular mail." Leo frowned in suspicion.

"Yeah, knowing Mikey, he'd call it air mail." Alex agreed with him as Leo opened the note up for them to read.

Warriors, if you are reading this note, you have passed the first test. I call upon you as a point of honour to meet with me. If you follow the way of Bushido, you will come. And you will both come alone.

"Hmm… 16 South Boyle." Leo read aloud the address. "That's not far. What do you think, Alex?"

"I think it's a trap and we should talk to Master Splinter. But we shouldn't disappoint whoever sent this note, either." Alex replied.

With the decision made, the pair went down a fire escape and made their way towards the address, running down an alleyway, unaware that their brothers were following them in the shadows.

Soon, Alex and Leo reached their destination, which was a small warehouse, and after making sure no one was watching, they entered through a door.

Their brothers arrived a moment later, dropping from above and approached the door slowly, opening it to take a peek.

"Man, Leo's been acting funny all day. And I don't mean 'ha ha' funny. I mean 'funny' funny. And now Alex has joined him." Mikey commented.

"It's not like them to go off like this." Donnie said with concern.

"Yeah, they're acting like me." Raph noted as Donnie walked off.

"Oh, great, that's just what we need. Three of you. Now three of me would be a different story. That would be a good thing." Mikey remarked.

"Are you guys coming?" Donnied asked as he was about to climb up to the roof.

Upon entering the warehouse, Alex and Leo spotted a large red carpet and some incense burning. But there seemed to be no one there waiting for them.

"Hello? Is anyone here?" Alex called out as they moved to the centre of the large room.

But then they gasped upon seeing the foot symbol of the ninjas that they've fought against previously on a wall.

"I knew it." Alex growled as Leo snarled just before a whole bunch of them, fourteen of them, appeared and surrounded them.

Up on the roof, their brothers were watching through the skylight.

"Fourteen to two?" Donnie questioned, pulling his staff out, ready to help them.

"That seems pretty unfair." Mikey said as he pulled his nunchucks out. "I mean, there's only fourteen of them."

"If Leo and Alex needs us, we're here, but let's see what this is all about." Raph told them, holding his hand up.

Alex and Leo wielded their katanas as the ninjas all closed in on them.

Leo side flipped while Alex charged and slid, avoiding some ninjas that leapt at him, being able to slice one of their legs. Leo dived underneath some more that leapt at him as well before kicking all three of them.

Alex got to his feet and sliced the ninjas that tried to strike him, cutting their katanas in half and then kicking their faces.

Soon, the pair worked together to finish off the rest, slicing their katanas and knocking them out.

At the end of this scuffle, the pair took deep breaths and glared at all the ninjas on the floor around them, moaning and groaning.

They then heard someone clapping and turned to see the Japanese man in charge of these ninjas standing against the wall, his top half covered in shadow.

"Impressive, very impressive. My agents said you were good, but their description doesn't do the both of you justice." He said before he stepped out of the shadow. "I am Oroku Saki, eighth generation master of ninjutsu. And you are?"

The two brothers, sensing he wasn't here to fight, put their katanas away and stared him down.

"I'm Alexander, and this is my brother, Leonardo." Alex introduced themselves to Saki.

"Hmm, your brother's appearance is very striking." Saki said as he walked up to them. "It's -"

"It's not a costume." Leo cut him off sharply. "Although I know that's hard to believe."

"Hmm, much easier to believe than you might imagine." Saki replied, which made Alex narrow his eyes at him, wondering what he meant. "I have seen enough of this world to expect the extraordinary." He then walked away from them. "And you are extraordinary, but I did not ask the both of you here to flatter you. We have important matters to discuss."

"So you are the one to send this note." Alex said as Leo pulled the note out.

"Yes. I felt it was urgent that we meet." Saki said, turning back to them. "There are things you need to know."

"There are definitely things we need to know!" Leo snapped at him.

"Like the fact that your ninjas have been trying to end us and our brothers for months since we first met!" Alex continued their train of thought.

"That is exactly why we need to talk. We have been fighting each other when we should actually be on the same side fighting against our true enemy." Saki argued and explained.

"I think we have the scars to prove that you guys are the true enemy!" Leo argued, folding his arms.

Saki's eyes squinted as he lowered his eyebrows, not expecting such hostility from them.

"Hmm, I see. To you, nothing is clear now. You two have been caught in the middle of a battle that is so much bigger than yourselves. But you must know there is a force, a corrupt and evil force, that is out there right now working its insidious tentacles into every aspect of our world. It is an organisation devoted to obtaining power through crime, political manipulation, corruption on a global level." Saki explained to the pair.

"Whoa." Leo gasped while Alex remained silent, not really buying what Saki was telling them.

Back on the roof, their brothers were still watching through the skylight, but they couldn't hear the conversation that was going on.

"What's he saying?" Donnie asked Raph and Mikey.

"Something about onions. Or maybe pepperoni and sausage in a deep dish crust." Mikey guessed, annoying Raph so much that he whacked his head. "What? It's hard to hear. And I'm hungry."

Inside the room, Saki turned around and faced the wall with a large foot symbol.

"Unfortunately, the only thing standing against this evil force is me and my humble army of ninjas." Saki said before turning back to Alex and Leo. "We stand alone against them as my master did and his master before him. It has been my destiny to fight for the side of good." He then walked back up to Alex and Leo.

"I was hoping that you would find it in your heart to join me and fight against this evil. We could stand together." Saki suggested.

"Is that so?" Alex said with a sceptical eyebrow raise.

"Well, I - I -" Leo stuttered, being somewhat swayed by Saki's words.

"I would not ask the both of you to decide here and now." Saki said. "Meditate upon what you have heard today and come again tomorrow night with your answer."

The pair bowed and turned to leave when Saki stopped them.

"Wait, there is one more thing." He said before clapping, which made a couple of ninjas appear, carrying two swords that had red handles and tsubas shaped like the foot symbol on pillows.

"These swords have been in my family for three hundred years." Saki explained as he held the swords in his hands. "They were crafted by the master Toshi Kurahara in the sixteenth century. It is said that, in the forging -"

"Kurahara folded the metal over seven hundred times." Leo said, having read up on Kurahara.

"So that there weren't any impurities whatsoever." Alex finished, having also read up on Kurahara.

"Hmm, yes. The both of you are impressive. They are for you to keep." Saki replied.

"No, we -"

"Take them." Saki cut Leo off, handing the swords to Alex and Leo. "I wish the both of you to have them as a token of my sincerity."

He then bowed and stepped backwards into the shadows, leaving Alex and Leo frowning before looking down at the swords in their hands.

Back on the roof, Mikey, Raph and Donnie looked at each other as Alex and Leo walked towards the door they used to enter the building.

"Gee, and I thought Master Splinter said never to take swords from strangers." Mikey swore.

On a nearby rooftop, two figures wearing dark trench coats, sunglasses and golden medallions watched Alex and Leo exit the building. One of them was the blue haired man that informed his superiors about their enemy and of Alex and the Turtles. The other is a woman with a black buzzcut.

"They are leaving now. We'd better report this back to the council." The blue haired man told the woman gravely, the woman sighing with fear and concern.

"I know." She replied before projecting a hologram screen from her watch, showing the three individuals that the blue haired man spoke with weeks ago.

"Yes?" All three asked in unison.

"One of the Turtles, Leonardo, and their human brother, Alexander, have spoken with Saki." He informed them. "But we do not know the outcome."

"Find out -" The chubby man said.

" - what the Turtles -" The elderly man continued.

" - and Alexander will do. If they -" The woman continued.

" - are with Saki -" The chubby man continued.

" - we may be forced -" The elderly man continued.

" - to destroy them." All three finished before the hologram shut off. The woman shed a tear.

"It can't come to that." She said, wiping the tear away.

"But we won't have a choice. We have our orders." The blue haired man said grimly.

"I don't give a damn for once! I know that he would never work for Saki. He's raised properly, I know it!" The woman snapped at him before storming off, leaving the man to stare at the building Alex and Leo exited moments ago.

Minutes later, Alex and Leo made it back to the rooftop they were at when they got the note from Saki.

Leo ended up admiring the sword in his hand while Alex looked at his with disgust.

"Beautiful." Leo said in awe.

"More like ugly." Alex spat, surprising Leo. "I really think we need to talk with Splinter about this."

"Oh, Leonardo, Alexander." They heard Mikey with an accent. They turned and saw their brothers appear. "You two have some splainin' to do!"

"Nice letter openers. Is that the price for selling out these days?" Raph accused the pair."

"We're not selling out, Raph!" Alex pointed a finger at him.

"Besides, it's not like you think! We were invited to -"

"To join up with them?" Raph cut Leo off.

"Shell no!" Alex shook his head.

"Actually, yes." Leo then said, making Alex round on him with a glare. "It's different than we thought. They're not the enemy. At least I don't think they are. Everything Master Saki said -"

"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?" Alex roared into Leo's face, showing a very rare display of rage.

"Yeah, what's up with Master Saki?" Raph spat into Leo's face, glad that one of them is actually thinking straight.

"I thought we already had a master. Master Splinter?" Donnie said sternly with his hands on his hips.

"Remember him, Leo? Real hairy guy about this tall?" Mikey said, placing his hand where their father's height would be. "I don't think we can just ditch him."

"I'm not talking about ditching anybody." Leo said as he turned back to look out at the city. "I'm only talking about working with another group of ninjas in a fight against evil." He then turned back to his brothers. "Mikey, you're always going on about how we should do some good. Serve a greater purpose. Well, here's a greater purpose."

"I don't know, Leo." Mikey said, unconvinced.

"Alex, you've lived and breathed Bushido your whole life, don't you want to fight alongside others that are honourable like you?" Leo then turned to Alex, hoping he'd actually side with him.

"No, because I can't help but sense that Saki was just making up garbage to manipulate us into working for him. And I'm not gonna compromise my honour, no matter what." Alex shook his head, throwing the sword down.

"What's this thing got?" Raph asked, walking up to Leo and snatching the sword from his grasp. "Some sort of mind control device in it? Because you're losing it, Leo."

"Hey, give that back, Raph!" Leo growled, grabbing Raph by his shell.

"Or you can just take Alex's since he doesn't want it!" Raph spat as he shoved Leo back, making him yell and pinned Raph to the roof.

"Give it back!" He yelled, reaching for the sword, which Raph kept out of Leo's reach.

"Gee, a fight between Leo and Raph?" Mikey asked sarcastically.

"Oh, I didn't see this coming." Donnie said with the same amount of sarcasm.

Leo soon managed to grab the sword, but Raph still held onto it and the two fought over it like tug of war.

Raph then kicked Leo in the chest, knocking him onto his shell near the edge of the roof and Leo soon kicked Raph over him, sending him over the edge.

"RAPH!" Alex shouted with worry as Leo jumped to his feet, realising what he had done.

"Raph, no! Raph!" He shouted as he and his brothers got to the edge, looking down to see that Raph had managed to cling to the building with one of his sais having dug into the bricks.

"Ha ha ha! And you thought katana were the best ninja weapons." Raph remarked before he was lifted up by Alex and Leo.

"I am such an idiot. You could have been really hurt." Leo said, now feeling like a fool.

"Yeah." Raph said, putting his sai back in his belt. "You really are an idiot. And I don't hurt that easily, sword boy."

"So, what are we gonna do, Leo?" Donnie asked as he held both the swords Saki gave Alex and Leo.

"What Alex has said from the beginning. Talk to Master Splinter." Leo replied.

"Told you so." Alex said blankly.

They all arrived back at the lair and both Alex and Leo explained what happened, along with showing the swords Saki gave them. Splinter sat in front of his sons, who all sat as well. Splinter was also holding the foot symbol that Mikey took from that one ninja in the museum weeks ago.

Splinter sighed, realising that he can't hide what he's been keeping from his sons anymore. They had to know.

"My sons, I had hoped this day would never come. I know who these people are. I have always known." He said, holding up the symbol, confirming Alex's suspicions. "This is the symbol of the Foot Ninja. Their leader is Oroku Saki. But he has another name. He is The Shredder. I have often told you of my beloved Master Yoshi. But now it is time that I tell you the whole truth."

Yoshi performed one punch after another, going from left to right hand.

"As you already know, my master was a ninja of great power, one of the greatest practitioners of ninjutsu in many centuries."

Yoshi then performed a roundhouse kick. Nearby was Splinter, as a normal rat, in his cage, mimicking his movements.

"I was his pet rat."

Yoshi then went back to performing a punch and then a kick, which Splinter mimicked.

"And I learned ninjutsu by mimicking his moves. For many years, I was happy. We were a family."

But right as Yoshi spun and performed another roundhouse kick, the door was smashed open and Hun, who hasn't gotten scars yet, entered Yoshi's home with a legion of Foot Ninjas, carrying the swords Saki gave Alex and Leo.

"But that life ended when The Shredder sent his Foot Ninja to attack my master."

Hun yelled for the ninjas to attack Yoshi, two of them charging at him, but he jumped over them.

A third tried kicking him, but Yoshi dodged him and shoved him away before blocking a punch from a fourth ninja and kicking him away, all being watched by Splinter.

Then Yoshi blocked attacks from a fifth ninja until they wrapped their arms under his armpits, pinning him and allowing a sixth ninja to attack him, all of which made Splinter snarl.

But Yoshi jumped over the ninja's attack and kicked him right into Splinter's cage, smashing it apart.

"My master battled honourably."

The ninja got back up as Splinter kept watching.

Yoshi broke free from the fifth ninja, throwing him at an antique vase, which broke.

Hun then fired a handheld weapon at him, shooting two wires that wrapped around Yoshi's left wrist. Then two of the ninjas fired wires that wrapped around Yoshi's right wrist and ankle, Hun firing more that wrapped around Yoshi's left ankle, all stretching his arms and legs out.

"But through their dishonourable ways, the Foot NInja overpowered him."

Hun and the ninjas fired electrical charges through the wires, shocking Yoshi, who groaned in agony while Splinter watched on until he couldn't bear it and looked away.

Soon, they stopped shocking Yoshi and two of the ninjas held him up while Hun grinned down at Yoshi with sickening delight.

"Then The Shredder entered."

Oroku Saki entered, now wearing Japanese armour, which included a kabuto helmet and gauntlets, the one of his left hand having two elongated prongs.

Splinter watched with horror as he got out of the rubble of his cage.

"They accused my master of working for their enemies."

Splinter ran to hide while Shredder made a hand signal, ordering Hun and the ninjas.

"They wanted information."

Yoshi backed off, having been let go of the ninjas, but he still had those wires wrapped around his wrists and ankles, and so they shocked him some more, causing further agony.

"They were relentless."

Splinter peeked from behind a turned over table as Hun threw Yoshi onto the floor, landing on his chest.

"But my master only said one thing."

Yoshi lifted himself up, drenched in sweat and glared at The Shredder.

"He who lives without honour will end without honour." He said before falling back on his chest.

"This is a waste of time!" The Shredder spat, seeing that this was going nowhere. "Finish him!"

Hun pulled out one of the swords, ready to strike Yoshi, leaving Splinter horrified.

"I tried to save my master."

Splinter charged out from his hiding place and leapt onto Hun, who raised the sword over his head, and crawled up to his face, slashing at him, making him drop the sword.

Eventually, Hun grabbed Splinter and threw him out the window.

"My efforts were in vain, though I did leave my mark."

Hun felt his left cheek, now having three scars visible.

"Bah! I will finish you myself!" The Shredder spat just as Splinter climbed up to the window ledge.

He watched helplessly as Shredder raised his two pronged gauntlet and killed Yoshi with one swoop, closing his eyes as he couldn't bear watching it.

He then became limp, like the life was absorbed out of him as he hung by one paw on the window ledge before falling onto a garbage bag and then a puddle of water.

"The Shredder had taken my Master Yoshi from me, from the world. Not long after that, I found you, my sons. And you all know the rest."

All five of his sons sat there in heartache upon hearing of what happened to Yoshi, but also in disgust and anger at The Shredder for how heartless and dishonourable he is.

"I never told you all this because I did not want your training to be tainted by the poison of hatred." Splinter explained to them. "I did not want you to feel the sorrow that is still in my heart. But now you need to know who Saki, The Shredder, really is. He serves no great purpose. He fights no great evil. He is great evil. Any endeavour he undertakes, he does for his own selfish gain."

"Man, I am such an idiot!" Leo scolded himself, hitting his leg.

"At least one of us wasn't." Alex nudged him by the elbow.

"I could have told you that." Mikey remarked, elbowing Leo.

"You've been played, bro. He easily saw you coming a mile away." Donnie added.

"So what are we gonna do about it?" Raph then asked.

"Simple, give Shredder the answer he deserves." Alex frowned as he and Leo placed their fists together before all five brothers bowed to Splinter, who bowed back.

The following night, the five made it to the rooftop of the building where Alex and Leo met The Shredder, the two holding the swords he gave them. There, they were met with a plethora of ninjas, some with their weapons out.

Raph, Donnie and Mikey had their weapons out as well just as lightning flashed and it started to rain.

"Your master has his answer!" Alex told the ninjas with a glare before he threw his sword down onto the roof while Leo threw his over the ninjas' heads, hitting a fan blade. "And it's a big fat no!"

The pair then pulled out their katanas and prepared themselves for a fight.

"Let's dance." Leo growled.

All of the ninjas charge at the five, who charged with battle cries.

Leo charged through a pair of ninjas, blocking their katanas as Raph blocked and kicked away a couple more.

Alex charged at another pair before he slid between them, slashing their legs, making them stumble in pain before he got to his hand and spin kicked their heads and then got back to his feet.

"Check it out." Mikey said as he spun his nunchucks when a swarm of ninjas closed in on him. "Nunchucks are not only good for playing the drums." He proceeded to whack any and all ninjas that came at him, taking them down quickly. "But they're also good for giving a leg up to a fellow turtle!"

Donnie charged at him and Mikey gave him a boost in the air, allowing him to land in the middle of eight ninjas.

"You said it, brother! But a bo staff certainly comes in handy when a teenage turtle finds himself in the middle of a circle of angry, ugly enemy ninjas!" Donnie replied, spinning his staff before taking the ninjas down within a second.

"I swear you two don't pay attention to what Master Splinter says." Alex shook his head in disbelief as he sliced some of the ninjas' katanas before sweeping them off their feet and slamming his katana and feet on their chests.

"Yeah, it's not the weapon that matters." Leo agreed as he sliced some other ninjas' katanas and knocked them down. "It's the ninja who wields it!"

The five stood together, putting their weapons away and looked at the aftermath of them defeating the Foot Ninjas.

"Well, all in a day's work." Donnie noted.

"We rule!" Mikey cheered as he high threed Donnie and Alex, Leo and Raph fist bumped together.

But their victory was short lived as Hun smashed through the door that led into the building.

"Not him again." Donnie whined.

"We beat him before, we can do it again." Leo said, punching his palm.

"Yeah." Raph muttered.

"I've been looking forward to this rematch." Hun said as he cracked his knuckles.

"Bring it, then, you lazy tub of fat!" Alex mocked as they all brought out their weapons again.

Hun yelled as thunder lit up the sky for a moment and then he and the brothers charged at each other.

Hun jumped and punched Donnie in the plastron, knocking him to the edge of the roof.

Raph then tried swiping at Hun's legs, but Hun jumped over his sais and ducked when Raph tried kicking his face and then swept him off his feet.

Leo sent a kick, but Hun grabbed his leg and threw him away.

Mikey then tried hitting Hun with his nunchucks, but Hun dodged him until he grabbed his arms and threw him right at Donnie, knocking them closer to the edge of the roof.

Now Alex charged at Hun, who swiped a fist at him, but Alex stepped aside and kicked the arm away before flipping over the giant and slashed at his arms, causing them to bleed and for Hun to yell in pain.

Raph then jumped onto Hun's back and punched his shoulder until Hun threw him onto the roof and slammed him over and over again on his shell.

Leo and Alex gasped when they saw Hun lift Raph up, ready to punch him to a pulp and they both yelled, kicking Hun in the chest before he could do that, knocking him back.

Hun growled before he noticed the swords that Alex and Leo threw away, both in the fan blade and on the roof. He grabbed them and unsheathed them, ready to strike again as lightning flashed the sky.

He swung the swords at the pair, who blocked them and went back and forth with offensive and defensive moves, some including kicks.

Eventually, Alex got low and swept Hun off his feet and Leo jumped over him and kicked his back, slamming him onto the roof.

Hun roared as he got back up and knocked the katanas out of Alex and Leo's hands, leaving their brothers to watch in horror.

"Guys, no!" Raph cried out.

"Get back!" Donnie begged.

"Look out!" Mikey warned as Hun raised the swords over his head.

"Time to put you down!" Alex roared before he and Leo charged and then kicked Hun repeatedly in the chest until he crashed through the skylight and crashed into the floor of the large room inside, the swords landing beside either side of his head.

The pair panted heavily as they looked down at him before walking towards their brothers, who handed them their katanas, which they put away.

"Oh, I think we'll sleep well tonight." Mikey said as he and Donnie carried Leo's arms and Alex leaned against Raph, who kept him up.

"That was not easy." Donnie commented.

"It never tends to be." Alex replied.

On a nearby roof, the blue haired man and the woman with the buzzcut watched the whole fight, the latter feeling relief and joy.

"I knew it." She said before displaying her watch, activating the hologram to inform the council.

"Your report?" The woman of the council asked.

"Council members, Alexander and the Turtles are against our enemy." The woman replied.

"Good. Yet it remains -" The elderly man said.

"- to be seen if the enemy -" The woman continued.

"- of our enemy is our friend." The chubby man finished.

"Monitor them further." The woman said.

"And keep us informed." The chubby man finished.

"Come on, guys. Let's go home." Leo said and they all started walking to go back to the lair.

But then they stopped when they saw more Foot Ninjas appear.

"Shell!" Alex cursed as they landed in front of the five brothers, preventing them from leaving.

They took their weapons back out yet again, as did the Foot, but then they jumped away as The Shredder appeared, fully dressed in the same armour he wore when he killed Yoshi, staring the five down before taking a few steps forward.

"Those who are not with me are against me!" The Shredder roared furiously as lightning flashed repeatedly. "And I crush anyone who stands against me!"
He brandished his prongs and then lifted his arms up as lightning struck again.

Some of you may consider Alex a Gary Stu, but he just happens to be the best trained out of the five. And he will get his ass kicked in the next chapter. That's a promise.
