(this is a fanfiction of what I would've hoped G5 to be like, so there will be inconsistencies)
(also different designs mentioned, for example, Pipp wears earrings now. why? because why not?)
"hey wheres Zipp?" Sunny asked while passing Pipp her smoothie.
"I have no idea, she said she was going to fly over the wilderness to see if she could find something" Pipp replied, looking at the forest in the distance.
suddenly a loud shockwave of magenta, orange and light green went off high up in the sky.
"what in Equestria was that!?" Sunny yelled, looking up at the sky with everypony else.
"I have no idea" Pipp said, her view of the shockwave being partially blinded by the sun.
Zipp then sped to the pair, a trail of light pink with a streak of aqua behind her for a brief moment.
"what was that?" the white pegasus asked.
"we have no clue" Sunny replied, leaning over the counter of the smoothie cart.
"well come on, I found the ruins of a village in the forest!" Zipp exclaimed, still flying above the ground.
"really!" Sunny replied, instantly excited at the opportunity of learning new pieces of equestrian history.
the orange earth pony quickly closed the smoothie cart before heading to the ruins with the pegasus sisters.
when the trio got to the ruins, there was many destroyed houses.
"is that a bakery?" Pipp asked, spotting moldy muffins, cake and cupcakes in the ruins of a two story house.
"ew" Zipp twitched upon seeing the sight.
"look! a fountain!" Sunny cheered, running ahead of the sisters towards a wrecked fountain.
"oh. gross" Sunny mumbled when she saw the mucky water in the fountain.
Zipp and Pipp walked over to Sunny, who was now running to what seemed to be the town hall.
"wait. listen" Zipp suddenly said. all three of them froze in place.
"immortality isn't that fun. when you've had it quite a while" a faint voice ominously sang in the distance.
"come on" Zipp said, jogging towards the large crystal castle still intact on the edge of the town ruins.
the voice became louder as the trio walked closer to the tall castle.
the door creaked open slowly, yet was as quiet as could be.
they quietly walked in, the voice beginning to make crying sounds as it continued.
there were three different ways to go.
"immortality isn't that fun. especially when your alone" the mysterious voice sung from somewhere in the castle, echoing so much the source was unclear.
"should we split up?" Sunny asked.
the sisters nodded in unison before heading down the first and second hallways.
Sunny then headed towards the third.
"immortality isn't that fun. when your all alone" the voice called, getting closer as Zipp went farther down the hall.
"oh why. oh why. oh why! why did I have to do this all alone? nobody to hold" the voice sang, holding back sobs. the voice sounded soft and confident, kind and mischievous all at the same time.
Zipp opened some random double doors only to find the bathroom.
"well at least I know where I should go if I need to pee" Zipp muttered to herself before walking away from the now open doors.
"I fly in these halls, all alone. nobody to hold. nobody to flyyy with. nobody to use this magic with" the voice sung, continuing to get louder as the white pegasus came closer to the doors at the end of the hall.
"these tools and magical items, are my only company" Zipp began to jog and then run towards the doors with curiosity.
she slowed down as she reached the doors, reaching out with her hoof when she was close enough to touch the doors.
the doors quietly opened just a peak, allowing Zipp to see the singing mare flying without flapping her wings.
"hello?" Pipp whispered, her voice echoing against the tall crystal walls. she was standing at the steps of a small staircase leading two ways.
with a deep breath, the pink pegasus walked up the steps and turned left.
there was only a single pair of double doors in the short hallway.
she opened the door to just see a simple bedroom. there was a unmade fancy canopy bed, a bedside table with an unlit lamp and a small set of bookshelves with a rectangle mirror.
she sighed and turned around, heading to the other set of double doors on the other side of the staircase.
"oh come on!" she said in frustration, seeing what seemed to be a child's room.
Sunny hummed as she excitedly walked down the hallway.
she happily burst open the doors at the end of the hall.
the orange earth pony squealed when she saw a hologram map of sorts that showed all the locations in Equestria, including the town ruins. there was 7 chairs around the table that had the map, one of them smaller than the others. there was also the roots of a large tree hanging from the ceiling with many gems on strings hung from the roots.
she practically jumped for joy as she walked closer to the sight.
she placed her hoof on the table, seemingly causing a chain reaction in the map.
her and her friends cutie marks flashed above different locations on the map, only two appearing together at a time.
for a moment, it showed their locations using their cutie marks. Sunny, Zipp and Pipp's cutie marks above the castle. Hitch's cutie mark above maretime bay. Izzy and Mistys cutie marks above somewhere in the forest in between the two locations.
"why exactly did you bring me with you?" Misty asked, following Izzy as she watched the nature.
"you've been inside all day, you need sunshine!" Izzy replied, jumping as she turned to look at her.
"no argument there" Misty shrugged.
a ping went off from Mistys bag, which she was carrying with her magic while holding her foot right underneath it in case she lost focus or her magic.
Izzy watched as the blue unicorn took out her phone and read something.
"what is it?" Izzy asked, having left her own phone at home.
"Sunny, Pipp and Zipp are exploring some ruins up ahead" Misty explained, putting her phone away and pushing a strand of her mane away from her face.
"lets join them!" Izzy excitedly cheered before running ahead.
Misty quickly ran after the purple unicorn, still carrying her bag.
"immortality is a curse in disguise-" Zipp cut off the yellow mare as she walked into the room.
"who are you and how are you flying without using your wings?" the white pegasus asked.
the mare stopped singing and looked at Zipp in surprise for a few moments before equipping a serious expression. she had a long dark pink mane that was tied up in a mix of a bun and a ponytail while her fringe was loose, had a light pink streak and curled at the ends. she also had a large gray spot on her head that fully covered her ear and eye. the yellow mare had cyan eyes with central heterochromia in the eye covered by the gray spot, the second eye color being bright red. her tail was long and snake like, a poof of dark pink fur with a light pink streak at the end.
"let me guess, your here for your necklace?" the mare asked.
"I don't have a necklace" Zipp replied as the yellow mare floated to one of the shelves.
"here you go" the mare calmly said, carelessly tossing a necklace at Zipp's hooves. the necklace was golden with a red gem in the shape of a lightning bolt embedded in the front.
"now leave" the yellow mare sternly stated, lightning appearing from nowhere.
"but I didn't even get any answers!" Zipp cried out in confusion.
"I am Cupcake Shy, daughter of the lord of chaos. and I said leave!" the yellow mare yelled in Zipp's face, revealing sharp terrifying fangs.
the white pegasus grabbed the necklace and ran out of the room in fright.
upon hearing the lightning, Pipp stopped looking around the rooms and ran down the staircase, heading straight to the hallway Zipp went down.
when she got to the entrance of the hallway, she saw Zipp running out the door, which slammed shut on its own.
"you okay?" Pipp asked, concerned.
"yeah, but I just met a pegasus who can summon lightning and fly without flapping her wings" Zipp replied.
a yellow mare suddenly opened one of the double doors partially and poked her head out.
"any pegasus can summon lightning. I just don't need a cloud to do it" the mare said before disappearing inside the room again.
"who was that?" Pipp asked.
"the pegasus I was talking about. when she realized I was there she pretty much just gave me this and told me to leave" Zipp said, showing her the necklace she was holding.
"what is it?" Pipp asked, getting out her phone so she could get the internets help.
"your going to post this on ponygram, aren't you?" Zipp said upon seeing the phone.
"maybe somepony on the internet can help!" Pipp replied, taking the necklace from Zipp's hoof.
she then tried to put on the necklace, which seemed to refuse as she kept pushing it against her chest. the red gem crackled with energy as she continued her attempts.
the yellow mare popped her head out again after the 7th try.
"can you stop that? I have a connection to these things too and all your doing is giving me a headache" she said.
"wait! can anypony wear this?" Pipp asked.
upon the words, the mare simply gestured to Zipp.
"if you want to wear a necklace of harmony, find your own. or come back in a month" the mare whispered at the last part.
"also my names Cupcake but I prefer CC" CC said before slamming the door on them.
"a necklace of harmony?" Pipp said, confused.
she then gave the necklace to Zipp, who pressed it against herself.
upon touching her chest, the necklace snapped on around her neck.
"well that's weird" Pipp mumbled, still holding her phone as she flew back down to the ground.
the pink pegasus then proceeded to take a photo of Zipp wearing the necklace.
"your gonna post that. aren't you" Zipp said, not even asking.
"totally" Pipp smugly replied, already on ponygram.
"Sparky get back here!" Hitch yelled, chasing his adopted dragon son around the office.
Sparky shrieked with joy as he ran around.
the hatchling then jumped onto their bed and fell asleep.
Hitch sighed in relief.
he grabbed his phone and turned it on, only to see an unread message from Pipp in the group chat.
the yellow earth pony calmly opened the message.
hey! me, Zipp and Sunny are gonna explore some old ruins northwards! feel free to join us!
"have fun" Hitch said under his breath.
just as he was putting the phone down, a new message appeared on the screen.
guys! you gotta come here! there's a creepy pegasus mare who can fly without using her wings!
he dropped the phone and grabbed Sparky from the bed and ran out of the sheriff's office.
Sunny snapped out of her excitement when she heard a ping from her bag.
her front hooves landed back on the floor as she looked over at the bag she had placed down on the smaller chair.
she walked over and got out her phone.
upon reading the message, she quickly got all her stuff and rushed out the room and towards the hallway Pipp had gone down.
once she'd gotten there, she saw both Pipp and Zipp were down the other hallway, which she quickly ran down.
"are you okay? wheres the creepy mare? whys Zipp wearing a necklace?" Sunny panicked.
"we're okay. in there. and apparently I'm the only one who can wear this thing" Zipp replied.
"how come?" Sunny asked.
"no clue" the sisters said in unison.
"so who's the creepy mare?" Sunny questioned.
"she said to call her CC. she also said she was the daughter of the lord of chaos" Zipp explained.
Sunny gasped.
"did you say the lord of chaos!?" Sunny excitedly said, stepping closer to the white pegasus.
"uh, yes?" Zipp awkwardly replied.
"as in, Discord, the lord of chaos!?" Sunny squealed, her horn and wings appearing from her joy.
"I have no clue who that is" Zipp stated.
"Discord is the Lord of chaos, he got turned to stone when he tried to take over Equestria, twice. then he was redeemed by Fluttershy, the element of kindness. they then married and not many ponies know this but they actually had a child. neither me or my dad could ever find out their name though, they was only ever referred to as the descendant of kindness" Sunny rambled, her wings fluttering repeatedly.
"you called" CC smirked, appearing behind the alicorn.
Sunny squeed in excitement, her wings continuing to flutter quickly.
"well there's not going to be any pain in your wings anytime soon" CC noted, her wings fluttering only once.
"are you, the descendant of kindness!?" Sunny shrieked.
"the one and only, but I usually prefer CC" the yellow mare replied.
"oh my gosh. somepony who actually knew the elements of harmony! what were they like!? were they nice? what did they look like? did they like smoothies!?" CC forced a smile as the orange alicorn rambled.
"well, I can now officially say I've meet every generation of elements of harmony" CC replied, cutting off the alicorn.
"wait, only now?" Zipp questioned.
"well, not every pony in every generation of elements of harmony. I still haven't met the other three" CC continued.
"the other three!?" Pipp cried out.
"yeah. hope, courage and confidence. although the white one wasn't really 'in her element' when she ran away in fear of me" CC explained, gesturing to Sunny, then Zipp and then Pipp.
"anyways, I'm gonna go find the other necklaces of harmony. have fun figuring out how that one functions" CC said in a cunning tone before teleporting away.
