- I won't leave you behind again. - Claims Adora, kicking the electric baton.
- Why can't you just stay? - Catra pleads, already tired of this whole situation. - We have everything we ever wanted.
- It's not real, Catra. - She already knew that but just didn't want to accept it. - As much as I wish that things could be simple the way they used to be, there is no going back - Adora takes her by the shoulders to face her but she can't, or rather she doesn't want to, go back to that world where she abandoned her to play the heroine. Catra slaps out of her grasp as she lets out a cry of frustration. She starts running through the Whispering Woods until she is tackled from behind, they fall and spin on the ground as screams and groans erupt from both of them. Both face each other again. – Why did you do it?! - Adora claims.
- I don't know what you're talking about. - She wanted to win. She wanted to crush her, her, the rebellion, Shadow Weaver; to all. If it didn't do whatever went through that portal, the portal itself would. She had nothing to lose, and yet she was betting she could win it all. Entrapta had told her, she warned her. But she was tired of everyone agreeing with Adora. Because Adora was always right, while she was always wrong.
A noise and a pale pink glow appear on the horizon. A radiance that envelops everything in its path, no matter what it is. The wind blows and the trees disappear. She feels fear, she feels rage and impotence.
- There is no time, Catra, we have to go - Catra hugs herself while the flashes of that reality that she hates so much go through her mind. That promise that she now suddenly seems to care about. That broken promise, that was no longer worth anything, that promise that she was in the past and she had sworn to herself not to remember again. - Everything will be okay if we stay together. Help me fix it. -The day she decided to leave passes before her eyes, that moment that she bitterly remembers every day and that she has cursed over and over and over again. – Please, this can't be what you wanted! – What do you know about what I want?!
- Don't you get it?! I am never going to go with you! - Finally she sees her in her eyes, her expression of disbelief at that moment was worth gold. Catra could only laugh. She laughs, a maniacal laugh, she laughs like she's never laughed before. She was tired, she was fed up. Even if the portal destroyed them, at least she would have destroyed them together, but Adora couldn't grant her even that. Catra points a finger at her. - You always have to go and ruin it, don't you? -He turns the back on her only to then pounce on top of her pushing her to the floor with her feet, Catra falls next to her, rejoining quickly as she pulls her claws out of her left hand, dropping her with intending to stick them into Adora's skin. She dodges her attack making her claws dig into the ground, with her right hand she launches another claw that she also dodges, gets up and launches another one leaving a mark on the trunk of a tree. She attacks again and again, until her arm is stopped by Adora who pushes her back. She feels the wind from the void building at her back, but she doesn't care.
- Catra, look what's happening! You're going to destroy everything! - Adora beg.
- I don't care! I won't let you win! I'd rather see the world end than let that happen! -A ray of light appears in their midst, the earth trembles and breaks under their feet. Catra feels how she is sucked into that luminous abyss that she herself created. He grabs Adora by the collar of her hideous jacket, if that was going to be the end of her, she would drag her down with it. The ground splits apart, the Force Captain insignia falls into the void, Catra is sucked in, trying to hold on to the piece of ground. She now feels afraid, very afraid.
- Catra! -Adora shouts, trying in vain to reach out to take her by the hand and save her. Because that's what she wanted, right? That's what Adora wanted. Catra considered that Adora had already obtained everything from her in this life and if she could deny her that last wish she now made the end, she would and despite the pain she might feel, she would be worth it. It would be worth the damn thing. She takes one last look at what was once the most important person in her life and she let go, letting herself be carried away by the destructive maelstrom towards whatever fate saw fit.
Adora only watches her disappear with tears in her eyes and laments at the edge of that luminous gap that has swallowed everything she knew... or at least what she had left behind long ago.
She felt nothing. She was simply swallowed by that emptiness, seeing Adora disappear into the light and now, opening her eyes, she finds herself in the middle of a jungle. It wasn't a place she was familiar with, it wasn't even an environment she had any record of on Etheria. Tall trees with thin brown trunks and webbed tips surround her, she feels the warmth of the environment while in her hands she feels the humidity of the earth. She hears birds cawing in the distance. She stands on her feet and begins to analyze the place with her eyes. What happened? How did I get here? She didn't understand anything, she felt somewhat disappointed that she was still, well... alive. And at the same time, she was relieved that, whatever had happened, it had been painless.
A rumble fills her ears and sees a green glow rapidly approaching her, instinctively throws herself to the ground as multiple green orbs crash to the ground, destroying the trees around her and they fall to the ground with splintered trunks kicking up dust and dirt. Directing her gaze to the place of origin of these attacks, she manages to elucidate among the rain of projectiles some short beings, they seemed stooped with bright eyes and as green as what they shoot, carrying large and remarkably heavy contraptions firing round after round in their direction.
Catra dodges the large logs that rush at her, her heart races and her tail bristles, stumbling and falling face down as a tree rushes over her and when with a crash it hits the ground, she sees herself intact and without any damage or scratch.
Catra returns her sight to the direction of origin to try to identify her attackers and now she can see them clearly.
Rats.
Miserable oversized rats walking on two legs, he despised them and liked to have a cruel little game when he set out to capture one in the Fright Zone. But these were more than 5 times larger than the ones she had seen in her entire life.
The silence is broken by a roar coming from the opposite side of the collapsed field. She sees creatures raising their roars to the sky, creatures with huge maws and crests, bearing maces and shields in their talons. Lizards.
Lizards walking on their hind legs, tall and strong with huge jaws. From behind a monstrously colossal creature with red skin and horns appears out of the trees carrying a golden structure with another lizard smaller and thinner than the rest with a red crest carrying a tablet in its claws and similar ones around it while a golden glow like dawn came from the center of that structure.
Multiple screams are heard as both sides charge at each other. Vehicles with giant wheels, piloted by the rats, break the rows of the lizards with great force, almost throwing them into the air, other larger ones with orange scales pounce on the rats in combat, spitting out a kind of flaming liquid, also breaking the rows of rats, trapping them in their jaws, shaking them to pieces or swallowing them right there.
The rats attack with their weapons, but the lizards do not flinch from the impacts on their scales and growling; they wield their bone maces, crashing them hard against the skulls of the vermin, breaking them while the blood spurts out.
The rats create pulses of green energy sending the lizards flying, and also taking blood from their enemies.
From the structure carried by the red-scaled, large-horned monster shoots forth an enormous ace of golden light that strikes the ground, sweeping away and burning the rats as if it were just dry leaves.
Catra, in the midst of all this madness of roaring and screeching, cannot understand what is happening, how did it get there? What are these things? why can't they touch it?, at that moment something in their mind clicks, they couldn't touch it, the blood that flowed from the blows inflicted by the lizards didn't touch it and the lizards passed by without touching it, and luckily, because the mere thought of being bitten by one of those creatures already made her feel pain.
Armored monsters with masses of bone in their tails join in, winged beasts begin to cover the sky as the fight intensifies.
A maniacal laugh begins to be heard as the battle continues, he sees one of the rats who was the one laughing wearing a blue armor and a mechanical hand while a luminous trail of green smoke like a comet shoots into the sky and then rushes to the ground to the distance, and when hitting the ground a great explosion happens. A green glow blinds her briefly and with a rumble, green vapor covers everything around her, the rats and lizards disappear. The roars and screeches cease, as a cloak of darkness envelops her leaving her confused.
A metallic hammering sound echoes around her, she spins in all directions trying to find the source. He appears in front of a large metal door, the sound is now clearer, bewildered, he begins to back away and out of the corner of his eye he sees behind him upright and stately beings with pale skin, pointed ears and black armor with gold details holding shields huge and swords.
The door falls with a bang, a cloud of black dust rises from the collapsed door while those anthropomorphic rats from before begin to appear through it while one who was in the lead, laughed with a mask with lenses in his eyes with a green glow glowing from the mask, while carrying a kind of drill made of bright green stone.
Purple projectiles fired from cannons loaded on the rats' backs explode as the pale-skinned beings charge forward.
They move gracefully, swiftly and deadly as the vermin hordes fall, but these move nimbly and swiftly carrying swords in both hands and some holding a third weapon with their tails, somersaulting in the air jumping over the heads of his enemies.
The explosions begin to reduce the rows of pale beings, creatures with snake bodies and feminine faces, they snake on the battlefield but these are also repelled by the purple glow of the explosions, which make the ground tremble leaving trails of fire on this.
In the middle of all this, one of the pale beings with long black hair, launches cuts with his sword, the enemies fall without delay and without time to react.
Time seems to slow down and a deep, sepulchral voice is the only thing heard as a halo of purple light surrounds her.
- You need me, Darkblade. - Hordes of rats make their way through the ranks of the black-armored beings slashing, gnawing, devouring and screeching as the out-of-tune orchestra of metal on metal comes as a thud that stops suddenly. A shadowy figure appears from across the halo, wearing the same armor as the rest. - Or will pride end your miserable existence? -
- Shut up, demon! -Exclaims the black-haired being as he plunges his sword into the ground, while he takes out a long jar with a blue content.
- You are a fool, Malus. Without me, we both die here. -The shadowy figure surrounds them passing through the piles of corpses lying on the ground, to whom he speaks he seems to be considering what he said. - Imprisoned within your flesh is a power that mortals would kill for. -
Face to face, he continues. - Hate is our gift to one another. Malus. -
The noise of the battle returns, carriages pulled by black horses make the ground vibrate while time runs normally again, now it is Catra who faces the black-haired being, who looks at the jar from before. Inside her head she hears the voice of the white-haired being. - With hate… –
- … All things are possible. -Answers his black-haired double. Catra curses her keen sense of smell as the smell of blood is so strong it makes her dizzy.
He sees one of the warrior rats quickly approaching them, it runs and jumps trying to attack from above, the black-haired being walks stepping on the dead bodies of his fellows and responds by clashing swords in the air, making him back.
The black-haired being throws the jar away, and his hair turns white as purple marks cover his face, and his eyes turn dark purple.
The darkness covers her again as she sees the sparkle of those eyes disappear like will-o'-the-wisps in the gloom.
She didn't want to understand anything anymore, she wanted it to stop, she wanted silence; a moment of lucidity. She started to run to nowhere, her feet rested on something but she couldn't see the floor and she was starting to get desperate, what she had already seen had already unsettled her enough.
She could be quite bloody and dirty when it came to fighting, it flashed through her mind when she wounded She-ra in the back during the battle of Bright Moon with such viciousness that it must have left deep marks in her skin, but she had never seen such a display of brute force, violence and blood as she had witnessed.
The merciless lashes that broke bones with crunching sounds as chunks of skin, muscle and blood flow through the air staining the ground or other equally bloodthirsty and bloodthirsty creatures better trained in combat than she was. Her blows and attacks must have been nothing less than caresses in comparison.
Breathing hard, she kept running in the dark, closing her eyes hoping it was all a nightmare from which she longed to wake up and it seemed to have worked. She finds herself in the middle of a forest, feeling the green grass on her feet and a light breeze stirring her hair; perhaps she had returned to the Whispering Woods.
But that illusion quickly vanished as a marsh of screams rose into the air as rows and rows of female beings with reddish hair and white skin, covered in green robes and carrying swords in each hand rush in her direction, piercing her like ethereal dust and engaging in combat with the anthropomorphic rats from before.
She was sick of seeing them again and again and again through this insane mirage of cruel and merciless combat.
The same beings in green clothes but now with blond or brown hair, riding horned creatures attack the rats, forcefully moving them out of their way with a movement of the head piercing them with their horned horns. As rodent abominations swoop down on their foes, engulfing them in their disgusting maw, as quadrupedal monsters, which in turn have upright torsos with green-scaled hands bearing masses of stone, slam down on the abomination's skulls.
Catra, tired of all this, begins to throw claws everywhere, regardless of who received them. To the legs, to the face, to the eyes, but it was useless, she just passed through them like air without causing them harm. Tears of despair begin to form in her eyes as she begs for it to be over now.
A winged being wrapped in a blue aura with feminine features appears with a staff in hand. Making a movement with it and from the ground roots begin to come out that catch the rats crushing and throwing them hard against the ground while other beings with green capes levitate and launch aces of green light against the ground in the middle of the hordes of vermin Aces of light so bright he had to cover his eyes lest they hurt him.
Once again, he finds herself in the shadows, falling to her knees imploring in her mind that everything would end now. Something told her that it wasn't going to end soon, was this her punishment?
She sees a flame lighting the way for someone carrying a torch.
A man in silver armor, a mist surrounds her, looks around and sees houses bathed in darkness dimly lit by the torch.
Hears a crackling noise behind her, the man seems to hear it too and turns around, the light revealing something he wishes he hadn't seen.
The light of the fire illuminates a monstrosity with a disjointed jaw showing sharp and yellowish teeth, its empty and black eyes revealed a faint red glow contrasting with its almost black skin.
As he approaches the torch, he realizes that the monster is supported by two rickety arms, its legs no longer existing, leaving its intestines hanging and wiggling grotesquely outwards.
Emitting a kind of muffled roar, it frightens the man and herself alike, while from the darkness hideous figures approach her moving unevenly, amorphous shadows emitting screeches and ghastly wails as they clumsily advance.
She turns to flee, but a tall figure shrouded in shadows blocks her way and points the barrel of a gun at her without delay; he shoots.
Catra sits down on the ground and now finds herself in a large hall with carved pillars inlaid with a precious stone, while in front of her there is a large room with a door to the outside through which a yellowish light enters. On each column, a tall statue with an elongated face holding weapons in each hand watches over the passage of the hall.
She stands up and behind her is a bright gold chest with gold trim and figures on each end and behind it, a wall with inscriptions that she does not know. She listens to the wind blowing outside as the silence of the room makes her cozy, she leans against the golden chest and breathes deeply trying to make some kind of sense out of this whole journey of madness, blood and death.
She was evil, but a mere capricious compared to the beings she had seen. What was all this? The horde was a mere gang of bullies compared to the monstrous armies mercilessly taking the lives of their enemies.
- What you will find is our curse. - A hollow and sepulchral voice is heard in the place, Catra turns to see who it is, but finds no one.
A sound and a metallic roar echo through the place as the statues begin to move. The canine and lizard faces of the statues turn and stare at her as they approach.
Catra just watches them with a tired look on her face and an agitated breath. They won't do anything to me, nothing has. One of the statues throws a slash towards her, more out of instinct than anything else, she moves to the side as the curved blade passes close to her knee, leaving a clean wound in her skin.
Oh, no. Another attack comes in her direction, she ducks and can see small hairs fall in front of her eyes.
She propels herself forward falling on her hands which in turn she uses to propel herself into a somersault and lands on her feet, jumps and propelling with one of the columns she throws herself on the face of one of the statues. Jumps to another one, jumps again, clinging to one of the arms of a statue, makes it fall as he flees towards the exit.
She can hear the footsteps of the statues following her, she forces her legs to run even faster despite the pain she feels, she sees how the door to the outside begins to close. She jumps and spins on the ground and manages to get out.
Now feels the grass between her fingers as bursts of gold, red and green create craters in the ground, sending green-skinned creatures flying and machinery made of wood and iron, feline beasts with white fur and mane attack the creatures with their claws, roaring towards the sky.
A majestic bird soars through the sky above her. And looking among the green creatures, she sees a terribly overweight, sickly yellow-skinned creature on a carriage pulled by furry monsters.
The bird lands in front of the carriage, leaving her in the middle of the confrontation, it opens its wings in a stately way, revealing her rider. A tall man in blue and white armor, with a winged helmet stood with a serious face and a sharp and powerful gaze, from Catra's position he looked like a giant.
More explosions echo in her ears raising a cloud of dust covering her sight.
The darkness covers her again, but this time the ground disappears and once again she falls, falls into an abyss and now the only thing she can ask for is the end of everything. All the light passes like a fleeting ray invisible to the eye while a black spot begins to grow in the background, all luminosity disappears giving way to a cold and overwhelming blackness, remaining suspended in nothingness, at the mercy of that dead space where any luminosity had ceased to exist.
But he felt something around her, something big; something colossal, something she couldn't imagine.
Four pairs of immense blazing and terrible eyes appear in the middle of the darkness watching her attentively;
Orange eyes like incandescent flames, bright and eager purple eyes, deep blue eyes like two storm-tossed seas, greenish eyes that gave off an aura of filth.
Fear was the wrong word in the sight. Dread. Absolute horror and more ran through every fiber of her body and soul, while she from her right hand began to feel a terrible and stabbing pain that spread throughout her arm reaching her face, and she just I could only scream.
She screams, screams in horror, pain and despair as she hears four booming voices like whispering thunder in every corner of her head, and the following words she would remember all her life:
WEEEE SEEEEE YOUUUUU!
Falls squarely against something, crawls against a tree and somehow knows she's back in Etheria, as she gets to her feet there's only one thing going through her mind at the moment, Adora. She had driven her to that, she is the reason she activated the portal, if it wasn't for her she wouldn't have had to witness such horrors. She begins to walk as a trail of black corruption spreads from his right arm to her face.
From there her mind is lost. She feels no time, no pain, no fear. Reality becomes an abyss of seven dimensions where light comes and goes and everything goes so fast while she falls into an infinite void where if she was screaming, nothing and no one could hear her and in the middle of it all... silence... peace.
...
...
...
When she can feel something again, she feels the wind gently caress her face, she sits down finding herself in a clearing full of emerald green grass in front of an altar. Strange markings surround it, independently glowing in different colors, as the sky divided into a sunrise on one side and a starlit night on the other.
The wind seems to carry some voices that whisper to him: Find them, Unite them. Stop them. Save them.
The marks around her fade and she returns the pain in her right arm, but now she burns.
She screams as her skin burns and she hears a distant cry: "You made your decision. Now live with it!"
She rises from the cold floor of the Hordak lab, an angry scream echoing behind her as she watches as She-ra destroys the portal with her sword in a single swing.
She hears Hordak ordering her to back away from her, she turns to look at her and the fury in her eyes is something she has never seen from her before. Her blue orbs shone with such anger and determination that she reminded her of that pale being about to fight that giant rat. Everything comes back to her mind as she leaves the place as everything collapses.
Meanwhile...
- Oh, this is... interesting. - says with a soft m*** a radiant, slender, long-limbed, graceful being, with a captivatingly androgynous beauty and a subtly haunting voice that can catch a man like a spider a fly in his web.
- ι αм αℓѕσ ιηтяιgυє∂ - speaks a form whose skin results in a constant flow that changes appearance and color and deforms into grotesque faces. and with his voice constantly changing in different tones from each face.
- So many... hidden and repressed passions in so many beautiful beings. It would be undignified not to exploit them. -Says the radiant being with an ephemeral trace of effusion in his voice.
- CONFLICT BUT BARELY BLOOD!. FEW WARRIORS AND NONE REAL! THEY NEED A LITTLE HONOR AND BRUTALITY FOR THAT PATHETIC EXCUSE OF WAR! - Screams an immense humanoid creature with blood-colored skin and blackened brass armor. His body is robust and tremendously muscular, and his head wears a black brass helmet of which only the little that can be seen of his face shows the features of a ferocious, growling dog with severed lips imprinted on a human face full of rage and burning hate. When he speaks, he does so in screams of black rage, igniting the air with cursed sparks with each guttural syllable.

- SILENCE, TZEENTCH!. YOU AND SLAANESH ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS AWAY FROM ME! - The blood-red being roared.

- RAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!. - He launches a shrill cry that seemed more like a guttural roar as if three volcanoes erupted at the same time, throwing ash from his jaws. -I WILL SHOW THEM WHAT A WAR IS!. THE STARS WILL BE DYED WITH THE BLOOD THAT WILL RUN!. - He yelled as with heavy and powerful steps he walked away from his brothers.
