I made another Xenoblade 2 fanfic, yay...

Keh

Naruto Uzumaki, Jinchūriki of the nine tails, was walking down the street. The sun was setting, with the horizon turning more orange and it was about to become night soon so he started heading home. He kicked a pebble that he saw nearby across from him.

Stupid Uchiha bastard.

Naruto had been beaten by Sasuke in the academy taijutsu spar, again! Sasuke was just too strong. As much as he loathed to admit it. Every time they fought, Sasuke would always win. But one day, he'll win! He'll beat his ass into the ground! He just had to get stronger!

Naruto kept walking until he saw someone sitting on the pier by the river. He narrowed his eyes since he couldn't see whoever it was from that far away.

No, wait. He recognized that figure. Was that... Sasuke? What was he doing here?

Sasuke thought he heard something, which prompted him to turn around, spotting Naruto standing on the hill.

Both of them stared at each other before Naruto made and face, which in turn, caused Sasuke to make a face at him. They both turned their heads away in a huff.

In the normal timeline, Naruto would've kept going and left Sasuke alone. Unfortunately, this isn't one of those times, as Naruto tripped on the hill when his foot slipped and caused him to tumble down the hill where Sasuke was.

Hey, in his defense, he was still pissed at losing to Sasuke for the nth time that he didn't pay attention to where he was walking. It was also not one of his greatest moments, but he can take pride in the fact that he got right back up and Sasuke just now turned around.

"Ow." Naruto rubbed his back and he felt it pounding.

Sasuke was unimpressed, a loser will always be a loser. "Dumbass."

"Hey! You wanna start something!" Naruto didn't take too kindly to his insult. Sasuke always tended to rile him up.

"Hmph." Sasuke just turned around and stared at the lake once more. The two of them sat in silence, Naruto was feeling a little uncomfortable with the silence. But he didn't move from his spot.

"Uh," Naruto spoke after a few seconds of silence. "So what are you doing out here?"

"Why should you care?" Sasuke bit back quickly.

"Hey! I'm just trying to start a conversation!" Naruto turned around with his head snubbed away. "If you don't want me here, I'll leave!"

"Wait," Sasuke said. Naruto paused and turned around to see Sasuke still staring out at the lake. "Sorry, I didn't mean that. I... come out here to think."

"You like to what?"

"To think," Sasuke responded back. "I like to come here to think."

This may be the longest he's ever had a conversation with Sasuke. He always thought that he would never interact with Sasuke like this. He thought any conversation with him was awful. But, it wasn't bad. In fact, it was sort of,nice.

"What do you think about?"

Sasuke was silent. He's never really told anyone about his thoughts before. All he's ever done was keep them to himself. But Naruto here, he's asking about him. He wasn't sure what he should say.

"... It's nothing." Sasuke didn't feel like revealing anything too personal to anyone, even if Naruto had asked.

"..." Naruto was quiet. But he moved towards the edge of the pier. "You mind if I sit here?"

"Go ahead."

Naruto sat at the edge of the pier with his legs dangling over the water. He leaned forward to see his own reflection in the water. Sasuke just sat with his knees on his chest, looking out into the lake. The water splashed against the pier ever so often, filling the empty silence with sounds as birds chirped every once in a while. The boys shifted their bodies every so often. It was a nice sight right now if Naruto was honest with himself.

"It's a nice view here."

"Mm." Sasuke hummed back.

More silence followed after that small exchange.

"Hey."

Naruto glanced over to Sasuke when he heard him call out to him. "Yeah?"

"You ever have a feeling that, maybe, the whole world comes in crashing down on you." Sasuke began. "That it seems like everything and everyone is against you."

Naruto knew exactly that feeling. The people around him weren't always so nice to him. The glares, the talks behind his back. The fact that no one would ever want to talk to him. Nothing physical ever happened. But, he felt so...

Isolated

"Yeah," Naruto responded back. "I get that feeling all the time."

"How so?" Sasuke was genuinely curious now.

"You ever see how the adults around us look at me? How they give me looks, like I don't belong here?"

"I've... noticed." Yeah, every once in a while when he was near Naruto, he would see adults look at Naruto with hatred. He also heard them talking behind his back, saying stuff about how he was a monster, how he should just disappear. "Why would they look at you like that?"

"I dunno. It's been like that my entire life. But, I feel someway about it. I just wanted people to acknowledge me for who I am; but for as long as I remember, people don't like me for some reason."

Sasuke could never understand why they ever did that. Was Naruto annoying? Yes. Did he cause pranks every once and a while that would grate on people's nerves? Naturally.

But it didn't warrant such hatred. He also never knew why they acted like that with Naruto. It's not like he pried too much into it, but he definitely thought it was weird.

"But you don't like it, do you? Do you hate it? Do you hate them?"

"I don't... exactly hate them. I hate the fact that they do it, but I don't hate them. It's more like, I'm sad at them." Naruto looked down at his reflection again. "I never knew what I did to cause them to hate me so much. But, I hope one day they'll see me as Naruto Uzumaki. Someone they'll respect. It's a reason why I want to become Hokage one day."

"But why don't you hate them?" He hated Itachi.

"I don't know. I never knew the reason why they hated me. Maybe they have their reasons too. Maybe I've done something wrong. But for now, all I can do is focus on how to make it better."

"..."

They were similar. But at the same time, they were so vastlydifferent.

"So, what about you?" Naruto turned to face Sasuke. "You said the world was against you too. How so?" He didn't believe that someone like Sasuke could ever have a problem like his.

"... I have a brother." Orhad

(BREAK)

Somewhere, in another world.

Rhadamanthus

The Conduit is defined as a "magnetic abnormal matter", a perpetual motion machine that serves as a connection and gate between dimensions. It was one of their greatest discoveries.

The Trinity Processor was then created as a governing artificial intelligence to protect the Orbital Ring and the Conduit. It held three biocomputers Logos, Ontos, and Pneuma.

But, there was something going on with the conduit. It started glowing, something was going wrong when they activated the Conduit with the Trinity Processor.

Everything was shaking, but something else happened that the scientists didn't see. The two cores Pneuma and Logos were being lifted. The conduit glowed, causing the cores to glow as well.

And then they vanished, disappearing into another dimension. No one knew where they went. It was lost to time and space.

It had been a few months since that day when Naruto talked to him. Sasuke didn't want to admit it, but it was nice to be able to talk to someone everyone once in a while.

Ever since that day, they've been hanging around more. As much as Sasuke loathes to admit it. It was nice to have a friend, even if that someone was as annoying as Naruto.

They've been training together, talking together, and hanging around each other most of the time. It was actually very rare that they'd ever hang around each other in the beginning, but with Naruto's pestering, they've been hanging around more and more. Now, the idiot is around him every day.

But like he's said. It's not bad. Naruto had said that he mellowed out a little bit. He thought he acted the same but he could see what he meant by that.

In some cases, there were times when hesmiledagain. He tried to deny it, but Naruto made it out to be a huge deal and wanted to celebrate at that ramen stand he's always at 'cause apparently he never smiles, as Naruto says.

Hey, he can smile. He just doesn't usually show it often.

He's also seen Naruto become more calmer than before as time went on. Thank the merciful Kami that he doesn't scream at everything for hours.

Speaking of Naruto. Naruto had actually been improving a lot since they'd been training together, he's actually never really focused on training. But now that he's there to push him a little more he's been actually improving at a good rate. Granted he's still better than that twit, maybe he should work on his superiority complex, but he's getting stronger.

The academy was still boring, but it wasn't too bad anymore. Naruto was there to make it interesting, whether it'd be one of his pranks or something new would happen. They had another two years left of the academy before they could become genin.

Speaking of which, that day he told Naruto about his brother, about the massacre of his clan. It wasn't something he usually talked about, but since Naruto was sorta like him, he thought he could relate a little. Naruto wasn't usually interested in these kinds of things, but this time he paid attention, helistenedwhen he ranted about his life. About how his life went to shit after Itachi massacred his family and how he left the village. Because he was hisfriend, and Sasuke really appreciated that.

He still wants revenge, don't get him wrong. But it's not like it was on his mind 24/7 anymore. Like he said, he's mellowed out a little. As Naruto once said.

"So I was thinking we could stop by Ichiraku Ramen for a midnight ramen run later." It was getting dark, with Naruto and Sasuke walking back to the village after sparring a little bit in the outskirts.

"Ugh, you and your ramen. When is there ever a day when wedon'thave ramen?" Sasuke could tolerate Naruto's ramen obsession occasionally here and there, but at this point, it was getting out of hand.

"I can't help it. Ichiraku ramen is literally a godsend! How could you not like it!?" Let it be known that Naruto would defend his ramen till his last breath.

"Fine, fine." Sasuke tried to placate his blond friend. It was too damn late to start something. "See you there, then?"

"Yeah, I'll see you soon Sasuke!" Naruto waved at his friend and ran off back to his apartment.

"See ya." Sasuke waved back before walking back to his apartment. He used to live in the Uchiha compound, but he moved to an apartment since he couldn't live in the place where his brother murdered his entire clan. Hey, who could blame him?

Naruto unlocked his apartment door and closed it behind him, leaving his shoes by the door. He plopped on his bed as he laid there so he could recover a little from today's training.

Ever since he's been hanging around Sasuke more, he's been happier than before. He's not so alone anymore.

Sure, he still had the old man Hokage, Teuchi, Ayame, and a couple of the others in the academy that he hangs out with once in a while, but Sasuke was his best friend because he spent time with him the most.

Naruto was brought out of his thoughts when he heard something. But that's when he saw that spark above him, that spark kept getting bigger and bigger which caused Naruto to jump off his bed. "What the hell is going on?!"

The spark started glowing brighter which caused Naruto to shield his eyes away from the bright light as it expanded bigger.

Unknown to him for now, another spark like this happened to a very close-by Uchiha.

The light died down as Naruto uncovered his eyes and tried to figure out what the hell just happened. If this was Sasuke trying to get back at him for the 'March of the Tomatoes' prank he'ssogonna get it.

Naruto walked closer to his bed, only to find something glowing on his bed.

Looking over, he saw that on his bed was a glowing green rock of some sort. It was... in a cross shape? It was green and it was something he could easily carry in his palm. But he had no idea what the hell this even was.

Naruto picked it up and examined it. "What is this? Did my eyes nearly go blind because of this badass green glowing rock?"

The green rock thing glowed again before it started to turn into particles.

"Oh shit! It heard me!" Naruto fell on his butt when he saw the glowing rock disappear from his hand and start forming particles.

The particles formed around and condensed until they formed a figure. Appearing before him was a young woman with long blonde hair, fair skin, and golden eyes. She wore a short white dress with back accents and numerous golden and green ornaments, and a golden tiara. She also has two green symmetrical crosses on her chest armor.

The woman looked down at Naruto's downed form. "So, you're my driver?"

Naruto blinked. "A what now?"

The blonde gave him a look. "You're my driver. I'm your blade."

"No Idea what that means lady."

The woman sighed. "Oh great, I got an idiot of a driver."

"Hey! Who're you calling an idiot!" Naruto got back up. "In case you didn't know, I literally just saw you appear in my room! It's not every day where you see glowing rocks appear in your room! Who even are you!"

The woman smirked, deciding to ignore his angry remarks. "Well, if you must know. My name is Mythra! I am a blade made from the Architect himself, my father." She put her hand on her chest in a dramatic fashion and had her eyes closed with her smirk still on her face. She was extremely confident in herself.

Naruto paused, who was this scantily clad woman? Also who the hell was the Architect?

"I am so confused right now."

Hope I made the characters in character. Although I will say since Mythra and Malos are bonded with Naruto and Sasuke, they'll probably be slightly different than their canon selves. Though mostly for good changes
