Pokémon - Shiny Aura

Chapter 02: Tag Battle Part 1

A few days later…

" Whistle*" Endre is cycling his newly acquired Bicycle that he got for free due to the voucher that the prof, or rather his dad, gave to him. And now, there's nothing that's going to stop him from passing to the next town-

"Haha!" Suddenly, a youngster jumped out from the tall grass with a Poké Ball in his hand. "Let's battle! Go, Hoothoot!"

Pop* Bzz*

"Hoothoot!" The Pokémon landed on the ground.

" Sigh* Do we have to do this? The gate to the next town is literally in front of me. Can't you just leave me be and disturb other trainers?" Endre said to the youngster.

"Nah, man! You know the rules!" He exclaimed.

" Sigh* I already warned you." Endre then grabbed the Cherish Ball from his waist. "Go, Lulu."

Pop* Bzz*

"Ralts!" It cried as it landed and prepared to fight.

Spark*

The sparks of stars surrounded it.

[Youngster Jerry]

"Now that's what I'm talking about!" Youngster Jerry exclaimed. "Hoothoot, use Confusion!"

"Hoot… Hoot!" It sends a wave of sounds towards Lulu.

"Finish this with a Charge Beam." Endre ordered his Pokémon.

"Ralts!" It sends a beam of electricity to the Flying type Pokémon.

Bzz*

"Hoothoot!"

Thud*

It fell down and fainted.

"Wha-You just fainted my Pokémon in just one attack?!" The youngster exclaimed.

"Yeah, yeah. I know you had another Pokémon. Just let them out." Endre said, feeling uninterested in this battle. Not because he knows that he's going to win, but because he just wanted this fight to be over with.

"Alright, go Hoppip!" The youngster threw his other Poké Ball.

Pop* Bzz*

"Hoppip!"

"Okay… Lulu, return." Endre held his Cherish Ball forward.

Bzz*

"Go, Geki." He then threw his other Poké Ball in front.

"Froakie!"

Spark*

"Hoppip, use-"

"Geki, use Ice Punch!" Endre said quickly, overtaking the youngster.

"Froakie!" It dashed and punched the opposing Pokémon.

"Hoppip-" Due to the extra effect of Ice Punch, the move instantly freezes it and it instantly faints.

"Okay… You wanted to surrender now or what?" Endre said to him.

"No…! I still have my last Pokémon!" The youngster grabbed his remaining Pokémon. "Go, Ledian!"

Pop* Bzz*

"Ledyba!" His Pokémon cried loudly.

"Alright… Return, Geki."

Bzz*

Endre put the ball onto his belt and grabbed another Poké Ball.

"Go, Rookie!"

Pop* Bzz*

"Rookie, Rookidee!"

Spark*

"Okay! Ledian, use Mach Punch!" The youngster shouted, ordering his Pokémon.

"Le…" Its right hand glows as it dash forward. "Dian!"

Bam*

Rookie got punched by Ledian and was thrown back.

"Hah! What's it taste like?!" The youngster exclaimed.

"Well, Fighting type moves are not that effective against Flying type like Rookie here."

"Rookie!" It flies as the damage it takes doesn't hurt it that much.

"Rookie, finish this battle with Retaliate!"

"Rooki…Dee!"

Thud*

It then flew through and pecks the Ledian.

"Ledi… An…" After receiving the blow, the Pokémon then falls to the ground.

Winner:

[Endre Adler]

"Return, Ledian."

Bzz*

The youngster returned his Pokémon into its ball. Then, he reached for his pocket to bring out a couple hundreds of Pokédollars.

"Here you go."

Endre gladly takes the money from the youngster. It feels wrong taking money from someone younger than you. But hey, Endre did earn it after all.

After they finished their business, Endre continued cycling towards the gate to the next town.

Triune Town

"Oh yeah…" After he went through the gate, Endre parked his bike at the Pokémon Center. "Let's heal my Pokémons first and then check out the gym here."

He got off his bike and walked inside the Pokémon Center.

Ding* Thud*

As the sliding door opened, Endre accidentally bumped into someone.

"Oof?!" Both of them fell to the ground.

"Oh, I'm so sorry!" Endre quickly stood up to apologise.

"No… I apologise for just walking without looking in front-" The person that he bumped into suddenly stopped talking. "Hey… Aren't you…"

"Ah…!" Endre recognises the person in front of him. After all, there's no one else able to radiate this kind of edgeness. "Mr. Edgelord!"

"So… What are you doing here?" Endre asked him.

"I don't have any obligation to answer that question." Solips replied.

"Okay… What are you doing in Triune Town?"

"Just because you change how the question sounds, I still won't answer that."

"Well, even without you answering, I can guess it. You must be here for the gym, right?"

"I don't have any obligation to answer that question."

"You can't just evade every question by saying, 'I don't have any obligation to answer that question'."

"And why are you following me?!"

For a couple of minutes, Endre has been following Solips from behind.

"You're going to the gym, right? I'm going there too. So basically, I'm just heading there. But I'm not following you." He explained.

"But I'm not doing the gym challenge now." Solips said.

"Huh? So where are we heading?"

"You didn't know? Sigh* This is why I don't like foreigners…" He muttered.

"What you just said just now?" Endre felt like he heard Solips say other things.

" Sigh* Let me be straight. The gym isn't open until two days from today."

"What?!" Endre didn't hear about this.

"Yeah. The new gym leader hosted a tournament to celebrate her recruitment into being a Gym Leader." Solips explained. "And I'm going to enter that tournament. It will be a good exercise for the gym battle."

"Ah… That sounds awesome!" Endre exclaimed. "Alright! I've decided to join the tournament!"

"Whatever. Do what you want to do." Solips said to him. "However, if we happen to fight each other in the tournament,

"It won't be the same as before."

"Heh…!" Endre fixed his cap. "Lulu and I are the strongest when we are together. I hope you and your Kubfu have prepared to fight us."

"Hmph!" Solips turned around and walked away.

Clomp* Clomp* Clomp*

But after a few steps, he turned around again.

"Hey… Why are you still following me?" He asked Endre.

"Dude… I don't know where the tournament is taking place. So, I'll just tail you from behind."

"You must be kidding me…"

Triune Stadium

"Huh…" Endre looked over the stadium in front of him, which was packed with people. "Why didn't I expect that the tournament was going to take place in a huge stadium?"

"This is not just a stadium. It's also the place where the gym battles are being held. We took some inspiration from Galar after all." Solips explained. "In fact, Wifiot used to be a deserted island filled with nothing but just Pokémons. Later, people from various regions started moving here.

"Kanto, Kalos, Alola, Borrius, Galar, Paldea, there's a lot of people here with different heritage than others. Even Pokémons from other regions migrated here "

"Oh wow, there's no wonder I saw a lot of different kinds of Pokémon…"

" Sigh* Foreigners, always impressed by common history." He commented.

"Common history or not, I'm always intrigued to learn something new." Endre exclaimed. "And also, I'm used to you calling me a 'Foreigner'. I guess you have to change up your nickname games."

"Alright then. I guess I can call you a Bidoof."

"... When you think about it, I'm fine with you calling me a 'Foreigner'."

"Okay, here's your entry number and your Dynamax Band." The woman on the registering table handed Endre an envelope and a wristband.

"Thank you." He then leaves for the others to register. "Never thought that this was a Tag Team Battle. So, this entry number inside of this envelope will decide my tag partner. And…"

Endre carefully inspected the band.

"What is this… For some reason, I felt like there's some kind of energy inside of it…"

"It was a Dynamax Band!" Rotom Phone, out of nowhere, exclaimed.

"Woah, Rotom Phone?! I knew about the name, but what does this band actually do?"

"This band has an ability to transform into its Dynamax Form."

"Okay… What's Dynamax Form? And please give a short explanation."

"Very well, Sir Endre. In short, Dynamax increases the size of the Pokémon and also changes their movesets. But this phenomenon only lasted for a while. When the effect is finished, the Pokémon will turn back to its normal size and their movesets will revert as well." It explained.

"I see…" Endre then wears the Dynamax Band. "This world is pretty vast. I didn't know such a battle mechanic existed. I need to try this one out. Alright then, let's win this tournament! I wonder who my tag partner is…"

Inside the stadium…

"Ladies, and gentlemen! Welcome to the Triune Stadium, where the Tag Team Tournament will be held! Today, we have 16 entrants who registered into the tournament, including one entrant who's from Hoenn!

"Alright, without further ado, let's begin the Tag Battle!"

The bystanders on the stadium seats started cheering.

"Well then, both entrants and viewers, take a look at the big screen!" The announcer said.

Endre turned his head towards the big tv.

"The number for the tag team will be displayed here, ranging from number 01 to 08. These numbers will decide who's your tag partner."

"Oh,boy… This is giving me goosebumps. I wonder who's my tag partner." Endre thought to himself.

"Okay! Entrants, please open your envelope and show us your number!" The announcer exclaimed.

Endre quickly ripped open the envelope, revealing the number on the card.

"06…" He then raised the card up so that every entrant could see it. "Is there anyone here with the number 06?"

Endre then walks to search for a person with the same number as him.

"Is there anyone here with number 06?" He continued.

" Sigh* Of course it got to be you…" A person walked towards him, sounding disappointing.

"Mr. Edgelord? You have number 06?" Endre asked.

Solips then raised his card number, which is indeed 06.

"Seems like I need to hold off my revenge plan for now." He casually said.

"Oh well, you can have revenge any other day, my friend." Endre said jokily.

"Still, teaming up with you isn't half bad as it looks. You have some knowledge about Pokémon Battles, which makes you a decent tag partner."

"Thanks… I guess?" Endre didn't know whether Solips here was complimenting him or not.

"Well then, entrants, please listen up!" The announcer asked for their attention. "The rules of this tournament are simple. Entrants need to choose three Pokémons that they wanted to enter before the start of the battle. And you can switch out your Pokémons after each battle.

"As for healing items, each team is only able to use four Potions Items, and Revive Items are forbidden in this tournament. But don't worry, you will be able to heal your Pokémon after the round has ended. In terms of Dynamax, only one Pokémon of each team can use it per battle."

"So no Revives or Max Revives in this tournament… And Dynamax can only be used once per battle by either trainer."

"And for the most exciting part, the prize! It will be handed specifically to the team that wins this tournament by the new Triune Gym Leader, Trix Trinity!"

A teenage girl with blonde hair and green eyes, wearing a red long sleeve shirt, blue pants and white shoes, waved at the crowd. When she does that, the crowd goes crazy.

"Oh, wow. She must be really popular here." Endre thought to himself.

"With that out of the way, let the tournament begin!" The announcer exclaimed. "Number roulette, spin and reveal the numbers!"

Ding* Ding* Ding*

The two roulette on the tv spins at the same time.

Ding*

The roulette finally stopped.

"And the numbers shown are… 06 and 13! Team 06 consists of Solips Teivel, from Naga Town, and Endre Adler, who's from Rustboro City in Hoenn!

"As for Team 13, they consist of Will Riley, from Vanligt Town, and Cal Blaze, from Liga City!"

"Seems like we're going first." Endre said to Solips.

"Better for us, since we can have extra rest time until the next round." Solips then walked forward to the arena. "Make sure you don't hold me back."

"Heh!" Endre follows him. "Right back at ya."

Both of them walked towards the arena, where their opponents were already waiting.

"Hmm… An opponent from another region… This is a perfect chance for me to fight another trainer that isn't from here." The black haired man wearing dandy clothes said.

"Heh, whatever. Both of them will be crushed by my Fire type Pokémons!" The hot red haired boy said, feeling confident.

"You know, telling people what kind of Pokémon you use before battling them is a bad idea… But not for me." Endre already knew who he was going to send out first. He pulls Geki's Poke Ball from his belt.

Solips, Will and Cal have chosen their first Pokémon as well.

"Alright, the first round! Let the battle begin!" The announcer exclaimed.

"Go, Geki!"

"Prepare for battle, Treecko."

"Show us your beauty, Chikorita!"

"Burn 'em up, Charcadet!"

Pop* Bzz*

"Froakie!"

Spark*

"Treecko!"

"Chikorita!"

"Charcadet!"

Spark*

Both Endre's and Cal's Pokémon let out a spark of stars as they went out from their Poké Ball.

Spark*

All of the entrants' Dynamax Band also sparked as well.

[Will/Cal]

"Woah, Cal's Charcadet also has that sparking effect. Which means it's a rare Pokémon."

"Oh, look what we have here! Team 06 has a Water and Grass type Pokémon, while Team 13 has Grass and Fire type Pokémon on their sides. It seems like Team 12 has a slight advantage over Team 06!" The announcer commented.

"Alright, since the Chikorita poses more threats to Geki than Charcadet, I should target it first. Mr. Edgelord here can take care of the Charcadet, since he probably has a plan to counter it."

"Heh, this should be easy." Cal muttered. "Charcadet, use Flame Charge on Treecko!"

"Chikorita, use Vine Whip on the Froakie!" Will ordered his Pokémon.

"Char… Cadet!"

"Chikorita!"

Both of the Pokémon attack their appropriate targets.

"Geki, use Double Team!"

"Return, Treecko."

"Froakie!" Couple of its clones appear on the field.

Bzz*

While Solips calls his Pokémon back.

"What?!" Cal is shocked to see Solips call his Pokémon back.

Thud*

Chikorita's whip hits one of Geki's clones.

"Go, Charcadet."

Pop* Bzz*

Solips lets out his own Charcadet, which has red eyes compared to Cal's Charcadet, who has blue eyes.

"Unbelievable! It seems like Entrant Solips has his own Charcadet as well!" The announcer exclaimed.

"Charcadet." Solips Charcadet calmly blocked Cal's Charcadet attack.

"Char?!" Suddenly, the flames on Cal's Charcadet were absorbed by Solips' Charcadet.

"I see…! Solips' Charcadet has the Flash Fire ability, which absorbs the flames to power up its own Fire type moves. So that is what he is aiming for!" Endre finally figured it out. "Geki, use Liquidation on Charcadet!"

"Froakie!" Its hands glows blue.

"Charcadet, use Incinerate on the Chikorita!" Solips said to it.

"Charcadet!" His Pokémon then pushed Cal's Pokémon back.

"Char?!" It didn't have any chances to react to Geki's attack.

"Froakie!"

Bam*

It hits the Charcadet, sending it flying back.

Thud*

The blue-eyed Charcadet landed in front of its trainer.

"Char… Cadet!" Solips' Charcadet then fired off its attack onto the Chikorita.

"Chikorita!" The opposing Pokémon gets incinerated by Charcadet's attack.

Thud*

After a few seconds, it then falls to the ground.

"Oh my…! A double knockout! Now, Team 06 is now on the lead." The announcer exclaimed, which made the crowd pumped up.

"Tch…" Cal returned his Charcadet into his Repeat Ball.

"Return, Chikorita." Will returned his Pokémon back into its ball. He then reached for another Poke Ball. "Spread your wings, Tropius!"

Pop* Bzz*

"Tropius!"

"Burn 'em up good, Monferno!" Cal threw out a Great Ball to the front.

Pop* Bzz*

"Monferno!"

"Oh my! Another type advantage from Team 13! How will Team 06 fight off this yet again disadvantageous position?!" The announcer exclaimed.

"Ok, Will here is definitely a Grass type specialist." Endre confirmed. "Although Geki has Ice Punch, Tropius is bulky. It won't KO it in a single hit. Charcadet and Geki can work together to finish off the Tropius, but it will leave Monferno untouched, giving it a chance to set moves like Swords Dance, Bulk Up or Work Up.

"The optimal move here is for me to finish Will's Tropius now, since Monferno can't deal super effective moves against Geki or Charcadet. But how can I do that…"

As Endre thinks, he glances at the band on his right wrist.

"That's right, Dynamax!" Endre glanced at Solips, giving him signals that he wanted to use it.

"Do whatever you want. Just don't get in my way." Solips replied.

"Alright then!" Endre exclaimed. "If I remember, I just need to return Geki into its Poké Ball… And bam, Dynamax! Here we go! Return, Geki!"

Bzz*

"And here it comes…!"

Endre's Dynamax Band emits an energy that was sent to Geki's Poké Ball. Slowly, the Poké Ball starts enlarging.

"Alright! Geki, Dynamax!" Endre threw the enlarged ball using his right hand.

Pop* Bzz*

"Froa… KIE…!" It cried as it started turning big and landed on the field. There's also some clouds above it.

Thud*

"And here comes the first Dynamax of the battle from entrant Endre! How is he going to change the course of this battle?" The announcer commented.

"Dynamax, huh? That won't make me budge! Monferno, use Swords Dance!" Cal said to his Pokémon.

"Monferno!" It raised its attacking power sharply.

"Let's see… If I remember it right… Okay! Geki, use Max Hailstorm on Tropius!" Endre exclaimed.

"FROA… KIE!" It let out a cry, summoning a hail on top of Tropius.

Thud* Thud* Bam*

Then, massive balls of ice fall onto the Tropius, fainting it. Hail comes down, damaging the Pokémons who's not an Ice type.

"A hail like this is nothing." Solips muttered. "Charcadet, use Clear Smog!"

"Charcadet!" It sends a smog towards the Monferno.

"Monferno!" It gets hit by the move, which makes it lose its attack buffs.

"What a clever move from entrant Solips!" The announcer commented.

"Tch! That Charcadet is annoying!" Cal exclaimed.

"Well, I mean, you yourself have your own Charcadet, so you must know how my Charcadet would do. Seems like a simpleton brute like you only know how to bash things through rather than thinking first." Solips mocked him.

"Damn you…" Cal is getting mad at him.

"I wouldn't approve of his trash talking. But if it's gonna let us win, then I won't mind being the baddie for this moment."

"Return, Tropius." Will returned his Pokémon into their Poké Ball and reached for another ball. "Go, Roselia!"

Pop* Bzz*

"Roselia!"

"Team 06 is in the lead with six Pokémons on their arsenal, while Team 13 is only left with three Pokémons. Can they make a comeback?" The announcer exclaimed.

"Grr…" Cal is mad upon hearing that he's in a disadvantageous position.

"Cal, we need to work together to win this battle. I will Dynamax my Roselia and use Max Overgrowth on that Froakie. I need you to hit Froakie with-"

"Shut up! I wanted to finish off that Charcadet and its faulty mouth trainer!" Cal exclaimed, ignoring Will's word. "Monferno, use Mach Punch!"

"Monferno!" It dashed and punched the Charcadet.

Bam*

Charcadet then gets hit by the attack.

"Ignore that! Use Incinerate on Roselia!"

"Char… Cadet!" It incinerated Roselia.

"Roselia!" It instantly fainted.

"Oh my! With this, entarnt Will is out of the battle with only entrant Cal standing alone!" The announcer exclaimed.

"Hey, you should listen to your tag partner back then… Or this wouldn't happen." Solips said to him, knowing what would happen next.

"Geki, use Max Geyser!" Endre exclaimed.

"FROAKIE!" It blasted off a water stream at the Monferno from its mouth. Then, it started raining, removing the hail.

"Monferno!" Instantly, it fainted from the attack.

"Tch! Return, Monferno!" Cal calls back his Pokémon.

"FROA… Kie." Geki then returned back to its normal size.

"Great job, buddy!" Endre raised a thumbs up at Geki.

"Froakie!" It cried in excitement.

"Charcadet, return." Solips called back his Pokémon. He then grabbed another ball. "Go, Rockruff!"

Pop* Bzz*

"Rockruff!"

"Would you look at that! Right now, Team 06 has a Water and Rock type Pokémon, which is strong against Fire type Pokémon. Not only that, it's now raining, which also weakens Fire type moves. Team 06 has turned the table despite being disadvantageous at the start!" The announcer commented.

The crowd then started cheering for Endre and Solips.

"Yosh! We can win this!" Endre is now pumped up.

"Heh, don't be so confident!" Cal then pulled out an Ultra Ball. "Go, Magmortar!"

Pop* Bzz*

"Magmortar!" It cried loudly to intimidate the opposing Pokémon.

"What a surprise! Entrant Cal let out a fearsome Magmortar! Despite the advantages that it faces, can it defeat Team 06 Pokémons?!" The announcer commented.

"Magmortar, huh? This is tough, especially when-"

"Especially when I do this!"

Bzz*

Cal returns his Magmortar back into its ball. His Dynamax Band emit an energy that went towards the Ultra Ball, enlarging it.

"Go, Dynamax!" Cal threw the enlarged ball to the front.

Pop*

"Mag… MORTAR!" It started turning big.

Thud*

"Here it comes! The Dynamax Magmortar!" The announcer exclaimed, gaining the cheer from the crowd.

"Oh, geez… How are we going to fight this…" Endre muttered.

"I will win this fight!" Cal exclaimed, "But first, I'm going to knock that puppy out of the way! Magmortar, use Max Knuckle on it!"

"MAG… MORTAR!" It roars loudly.

Then, a fist accent from the sky, hitting the Rockruff.

Bam*

The impact created a shockwave, which disturbed Endre from giving orders to Geki.

"Woah, that was a massive hit! Rockruff can't handle this kind of attack." Endre looks at Solips, who didn't react to the attack. "He's calm after seeing his Pokémon get hit like that?"

Endre then looks closer at Solips.

"No…!" Endre's eyes shine in bright red.

"Rock… Ruff…" Rockruff, despite taking the attack straight up, still standing on its feet.

"Unbelievable! Entrant Solips' Rockruff is still standing after taking the powerful Max Knuckle!" The announcer commented.

"Come on, get up! This is not your limit, right?!" Solips exclaimed.

"Woah… This is not a day where you see him pumped up like this."

"Rock… Ruff!" It then stands firmly, determined to fight.

"Okay…" Solips then pulled up the sleeves on his left arm, revealing something that Endre never saw before. "It's time to finish this."

"Huh? A watch?"

"Oh my… Oh my! Oh my! Entrant Solips is about to use a Z-Move!" The announcer commented.

"A Z-Move?" Endre never heard of that.

"Come on, Rockruff!"

"Ruff!"

Solips raised his hands forwards and crossed his wrist.

In that moment, Endre felt an energy radiating from the watch. Solips' whole body started radiating with a powerful aura.

"Maximum power!" But the moment was ruined as he did a pose that people do to flex their muscle.

"Is that really necessary?"

Necessary or not, those aura then get sent over to Rockruff.

Shine*

A symbol appears in front of it.

"Rockruff!" Solips shouted. "Use Continental Crush!"

"Rock… RUFF!!!"

The Pokémon then jumps to the sky, as rocks, boulders and everything from under the ground latch onto it, forming a huge rock that dwarfs the Dynamax Magmortar.

Thud* Boom*

The rock then falls towards the Magmortar and creates a bigger shockwave than the Max Knuckle.

"That was an amazing Z-Move from Rockruff but is it able to finish the Magmortar?!" The announcer exclaimed.

Crack*

The rock started cracking.

Shatter*

It then shattered. Rockruff returned to its trainer side. As for the Magmortar…

"MAGMORTAR!"

"The Magmortar is fine after taking the Continental Crush!" The announcer commented.

"Heh! Such a weak attack from that Rockruff! I will win this battle! Hahahahaha!" Cal started laughing maniacally.

"Heh!" Solips scruffed at him. "This battle is already over to begin with."

"Hahaha… What?"

"Bet ya forget about my existence here!" Endre exclaimed.

"That's right! Entrant Endre's Froakie hasn't attacked yet!" The announcer just realised that.

"Geki!" Endre's eyes shine much brighter than before. "Finish this battle with your best Liquidation!"

"Froakie!" Its right hand started glowing as it dashed forward.

"Magmortar, evade it-"

"There's no way in hell that humongous Pokémon can evade my Geki's attack! Go for it!"

"Froa…" Geki jumped high to the sky, reaching the Magmortar's face. "KIE!!!"

Geki punched the Magmortar straight to the face.

"MAG… Mortar…"

It slowly falls to the ground, as its size reverts back to normal.

Thud*

"Magmortar is unable to battle! Which means the winner of the first match is Endre and Solips of Team 06!" The announcer exclaimed.

Winner:

[Endre/Solips]

The crowd all over the stadium started cheering for them.

"Great job, Geki!" Endre said while running towards it.

"Froakie!" Suddenly, its whole body started glowing.

"Wha?! It's evolving!"

"Froa…" It then grew up and changed shape. "Frogadier!"

"Magnificent! Entrant Endre's Froakie has evolved into Frogadier after the battle!" The announcer commented.

"Woah… A Frogadier…"

"Let me handle this, Sir Endre!" The Rotom Phone slipped out from his pocket.

[Frogadier, the Bubble Frog Pokémon, and the evolved form of Froakie. Frogadier's speed is unmatched. It can climb a tower over 2,000 feet tall in one minute. It can also throw bubble-covered pebbles with precise control, hitting empty cans up to a hundred feet away.]

"Frogadier!" Geki jumped back to Endre's side.

"Great job, buddy!" Endre raised his hand, which Geki immediately high five him.

Clap*

"Alright, rest up until the next match." Endre pulled out Geki's Poké Ball and stored it inside of it.

Bzz*

Endre then walked over to Solips, who's kneeling down in front of his Pokemon.

"Rockruff!" It wagged its tail happily as Solips rubbed its head.

"I have to admit, you have a faulty mouth." Endre said to him. "However, your love and compassion for your Pokémon is daring to see."

He then offered his hand to Solips.

"I don't mind being your rival though. Let's get stronger together!"

"..."

Endre thought that this was going to be an emotional moment between two Pokémon Trainer. But in actuality…

Chomp*

Rockruff suddenly bites his hand.

"Ow?!" Endre backs off, which makes Rockruff release its mouth.

"I don't need a rival." Solips stood up. "You're strong, I admit. But I will get even stronger. Until all of this is over, you and I have to work together. But that doesn't mean I wanted to jolly-jolly with you. All of this is to make me stronger."

"Well… I'm fine with that." Seems like gaining a feisty friend is hard as it looks. "But man, I'm so thirsty from all of that battle. Imma buy some lemonade to freshen up my tongue. I will be back shortly."

Endre then runs off from the field.

Few minutes later at the outside of the Pokémon Center…

" Gulp* Gulp* Gulp* Ah…" Endre finished his lemonade. "That's refreshing."

He then went to the dustbin and threw the can inside of it.

"Oh, well. Let's return back to the stadium. Mr. Edgelord must be waiting for me there."

As Endre started walking away from the center, he felt something from the sides.

"Huh?" He turned around. "That feeling again… But this time it is…"

Endre then quickly ran towards the direction where he felt that feeling.

"Char!"

Thud*

The blue-eyed Charcadet was sent flying to the walls of the Pokémon Center.

"Char… Cadet…" It weakly stood up.

"Grr…!" Cal, who's super angry right now, grunted. "How can I lose?! I have the perfect Fire type Pokémons!

"All of this is because of you, Charcadet!"

He pointed his finger at it.

"If it weren't for you being weak, I would have won that match easily! But this all happens because of you!"

Cal then prepared to kick the Charcadet.

"Char…!" It uses its hands to block the kick.

"Rookie, use Tailwind!" A person shouted.

"Rookie!" A Rookidee appears and flaps its wing, summoning a powerful wind.

"Ugh?!" Cal gets pushed back by the wind. He then repositioned himself and glared at the person standing in front of Charcadet. "You…"

"I know it is your Pokémon, but I won't stand still and let you abuse it." Endre said straight to his face.

"Heh, look at you. Trying to be a hero." Cal then pulled a Great Ball and an Ultra Ball out. "You won back then because of that faulty mouth bastard. Let's see if you can win against my Pokémons now! Go, Monferno, Magmortar!"

Pop* Bzz*

"Monferno!"

"Magmortar!"

"Just because your Pokémon is strong looking, doesn't mean that they will win in a battle." Endre pulled out a Poké Ball. "Show 'em' what you got, Rookie, Geki!"

Pop* Bzz*

"Rookidee!"

"Frogadier!"

Monferno

[Cal Blaze]

"Magmortar, use Thunderbolt on that Frogadier! Monferno, use Thunder Punch on that Rookidee!"

"Magmortar!"

"Monferno!"

Both of them prepared to attack Endre's Pokémon.

"You already lost." Endre said, glaring at Cal with his red eyes. "Rookie, use Drill Peck on Monferno. Geki, use Liquidation on Magmortar."

"Frogadier!" Geki then punches Magmortar while it's charging its attack.

"Rooki… Dee!" Rookie then pecked Monferno with its beak.

"Magmortar!"

"Monferno!"

Both of the Pokémons instantly fainted from the attack.

"Wha-What?!"

Winner:

[Endre Adler]

"Good job, both of you." Endre said to his Pokémons.

"H-How can you out speed my Pokémon?!" Cal asked.

" Tailwind. Rookie has already set up Tailwind from the start. And also, Magmortar is slower than Geki in the first place, which means Geki's Liquidation will OHKO it. Monferno is faster than Rookie, but I already warped it with Focus Sash. So even if its Thunder Punch went through, Rookie will still survive the attack and Rookie can finish it with Reversal. So, even without Tailwind, I already won this battle." Endre explained in great detail.

"Didn't you notice that the Rockruff from back then also survived due to Focus Sash? I can't blame you at all because Mr. Edgelord really hid it well around Rockruff's neck." He continued. "But now…"

Endre then walks towards Cal and grabs him by his shirt collar.

"How about you apologise to your Charcadet here?"

"Don't f*ck with me!" Cal pushes Endre off and tries to punch him.

"Huh?" But his body doesn't move an inch. "Why can't I move?!"

" Sigh*" Endre cleaned off his jacket. "What a brute person. Mr. Edgelord is right about you. Anyways, thanks for the save, Lulu."

"Ralts!" Lulu then revealed itself from Endre's legs, holding its right arm forward.

"What are you doing?! Let me go!" Cal exclaimed as he tried to break free from Lulu's Psychic.

"Apologise to it. RIGHT, NOW!" Endre raised his tone at Cal.

"F*ck off! It's a weak Pokémon! I don't have to apologise because it's weak!"

"You son of a-"

"Char…" The Charcadet then tugs Endre's pants. It looks at Endre with pleading eyes.

"... Lulu, release this bastard." Endre said to it.

"Ralts." Lulu let off her psychic power.

Thud*

Cal is finally free from Lulu's Psychic.

"Charcadet!" It then went to him.

"Back off!" He shouted. "I don't need a weak Pokémon like you!"

Clank*

Cal then threw off Charcadet's Repeat Ball onto the ground and returned his Magmortar and Monferno into their balls.

Bzz*

He walked away from the Pokémon Center with an unpleasant expression on his face.

"Char…" It felt sad because its trainer abandoned him.

Endre walked over and picked the ball on the ground.

"Repeat Ball… It's a Poké Ball that works best to catch a Pokémon if you had already captured the same Pokémon that you're trying to catch. Which means he had probably captured a Charcadet before and had abandoned it when he found out that it's weak." Endre muttered. Then, he turned to the blue-eyed Charcadet. "And right now, you're probably his latest victim."

"Char…" It looked to the ground and walked away.

"Hey…" Endre called it, which made it turn around. "I know you're feeling down right now because you're abandoned and all of that, but you know… I can use a Fire type Pokémon as of now. So… Mind joining my team?"

"Char…?"

"Of course, you can reject it if you want. However…" Endre dropped the Repeat Ball onto the ground.

Crash*

And step on it, destroying it in a single stomp.

"If you join my team, I will treat you better than your old trainer ever did to you." Endre then pulled out a Poké Ball from his bag and rolled the ball towards the Charcadet. "So… What do you say about my offer?"

"Char…" It looks at Endre, and then at the ball, then turns back to Endre's face. It looks at his Pokémons, who seemed cheerful, and much stronger than their looks. "Char…"

Boop*

It pressed the button on the Poké Ball.

"Cadet!"

Bzz* Pop*

"Excellent catch!" The Rotom Phone slipped out and exclaimed. "Wait… You didn't throw a Poké Ball, Sir Endre?"

"Yep." He then walked towards the Poké Ball and picked it up. "Come on out."

Pop* Bzz*

"Charcadet!" It cried as it was let out from its Poké Ball.

"Oh, a new Pokémon!" The Rotom Phone then scanned it.

[Charcadet, the Fire Child Pokémon. Its firepower increases when it fights, reaching over 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit. Possessing a fiery fighting spirit, Charcadet will battle even tough opponents. It likes berries that are rich in fat.]

"Alright!" Endre kneeled down and offered his hand. "Welcome to the team, Cadet!"

"Char, Charcadet!" It furiously shakes his hand in happiness.

"Rookie!" Rookidee then landed on Endre's left forearm.

"What's wrong, Rookie?" He asked.

"Rookidee!" It's whole body started glowing.

"You're evolving?!"

"Rookie… Corvisquire!" The glows on its body faded, as it finished evolving.

"Oh…! Another evolution!" The Rotom Phone started scanning again.

[Corvisquire, the Raven Pokémon, and the evolved form of Rookidee. It's said that the reason behind Corvisquire's high level of intelligence is the large size of its brain relative to those of other bird Pokémon. This intelligent Pokémon will quickly learn how to use any tool it can hold in its beak or its talons.]

"Corvisquire!" It cried as it flapped its wings.

"This is impressive, Sir Endre. Two of your Pokémon evolved on the same day."

"Well, yeah. This is great!" Endre exclaimed.

"Ralts…" Lulu felt like this is unfair, that both Pokémon that Endre owns recently has evolved before it.

"Come on, Lulu. Don't be sad about it." Endre said to it. "Maybe you're just a late bloomer. You know what they said, 'Late bloomers shine the most'.*

"Ralts…" Lulu just looked at him deadpanned.

"Okay, maybe no one said that. But come on! You're basically a big bro to Geki, Rookie and Cadet. I bet you will evolve into Kirlia much sooner or later."

"Frogadier!"

"Corvisquire!"

"Charcadet!"

The other Pokémon gives encouragement to Lulu, even Cadet, who's a new member of Endre's Pokémon, cheered on it.

"Ralts…" Lulu's then brightened up. "Ralts! Ralts, Ralts!"

"That's the Lulu I know!" Endre said. "Well then, let's rest up a bit before returning to the stadium! We're going to win this tournament!"

"Ralts!"

"Frogadier!"

"Corvisquire!"

"Charcadet!"

With both Geki and Rookie evolves, and a new member joining his team, Endre continued his journey by teaming up with Solips to win the Tag Team Tournament.
