And now we go to one of the unique words in the Kingdom Hearts series: Traverse Town.

Sorry this too took a while, I was busy figuring out the plot for this particular world since Wonderland is complicated on its own.

Lanes-In-Between:

Olette steered the Gummiship across the Lanes-in-Between.

"How much farther until we reach this Traverse Town place?" asked Grumpy.

"Not much farther now." Olette replied. "Just a few more minutes."

"Will we have to stay on the ship again while you look for your friend?" Snow White inquired.

"Only if you want to." Hayner replied, coming out of the kitchen sipping a mug of hot chocolate. "King Mickey says it's one of the few worlds where we can park the Gummiship on the ground instead of up above."

"I assume other worlds have that opinion as well?" quizzed Aurora.

"Yup. There's Disney Town, Mysterious Tower, Land of Departure, Radiant Garden, Midgar, and by the old manor in our home world, Twilight Town." Hayner replied.

"Xehanort, Maleficent, and their ragtag gang of misfit villains may have wrecked the World Order, but we gotta maintain some semblance of it." Pence added, sipping a bottle of Coo-Coo Cola.

"That is quite the compromise." commented Florian.

Doc looked out the window. "Why bless me, lo hand, er, I-I mean, land ho! Another world approaches us!" he said.

Everyone looked through the window to see Traverse Town come towards them.

"Alright!" said Olette. "Time for a good landing!"

And Olette carefully brought the ship down towards the unique world.

Traverse Town, First District:

Olette carefully landed the Gummiship in an open space, obscured by the tall buildings.

"First time landing the ship since practicing with the king and you did it like a pro." praised Hayner.

Olette giggled as she turned off the engine.

"Okay, we're gonna look for Zack and see what's up." said Pence. "You guys stay in the ship."

"What if we get bored?" questioned Grumpy, folding his arms.

"Hmm…" pondered Olette. "You can stay in the district at least. Just don't wander off too far that we would have to organize a search party."

"You have our word." said Phillip.

"Good luck!" said Snow White.

"Thank you." Hayner said as the trio exited the Gummiship.

Hayner, Pence, and Olette wandered around the First District, gazing around the sights.

"So this was the first world Sora and Riku ended up in after Ansem attacked the islands…" murmured Pence.

"From what I remember from Leon, the sky here is always dark. I always wonder why that's the case." said Hayner.

"Maybe it's like our world." suggested Olette. "I mean, it's not called 'Twilight Town' because we have supernatural creatures." she joked.

The trio laughed.

They walked along past various buildings like the Item Shop and the Accessory Shop.

"Get your items! Freshly made!" a male vendor from the shop hollered.

"Get some accessories! Bracelets, necklaces, we got 'em all!" a female vendor shouted.

They then arrived at the Item Workshop where behind the counter floated a hologram of a Moogle.

"Greetings kupo. Would you like to purchase some potions and materials kupo?" the Moogle asked.

"Yeah, we could stock up." shrugged Hayner as he, Pence, and Olette each set down small sums of munny.

They chose which potions they wanted and some items for their Keyblades.

"Oh yeah, these will work well." said Hayner.

"These could spruce up some more magic." said Pence.

"Thank you very much." Olette said appreciatively. "These will help us whenever we need them."

"Not so fast kupo." the Moogle said, reaching into a box. "You folks seem like the kind that could use something like this kupo."

The Moogle then pulled out a summon charm from the box. It was navy blue with what looked like a bear totem pictured on it.

Olette took the charm. "Why thank you." she smiled.

"Of course kupo. Now have a good day, and don't let the night sky contradict my sentence kupo." the Moogle said.

The trio waved goodbye and went on their way. They examined the town district more as they made their way to the district's edge.

"So far everything seems normal." said Hayner.

Suddenly what sounded like yelling was heard down the street.

"Guess I spoke too soon." the blonde deadpanned. "C'mon!"

And the trio rushed away.

Second District:

The Twilight Town trio ran into Traverse Town's second district where they saw Heartless terrorizing the residents. All of them ran for their lives screaming.

Among the Heartless were Air Soldiers, Search Ghosts, Large Bodies, Striped Arias, and Morning Stars.

"Creepy creatures!" a woman shouted.

"I thought they were gone years ago!" cried a man.

"Run for the shelters!" another woman yelled.

An older gentleman stood in front of the hotel where some Air Soldiers jumped up to.

"Would you like a room with two beds or a suite?" he asked casually.

The Heartless burst through the doors and into the building.

"We can upgrade to the penthouse if you wish!" the concierge called into the building.

An orb of darkness wrecked the Gizmo shop.

"Oh, man. I am so fired." Stan the employee said in despair.

Signature Keyblades were summoned and the trio rushed into battle.

"Stand clear, everyone!" Hayner called.

"Leave these pests to us!" said Pence.

Mission: Save the townsfolk from the Heartless

Hayner led the fight as he slashed at some Search Ghosts. But then they Hand Slammed him across the battlefield and he landed on his back. Hayner jumped back up and casted a series of Firaga spells to destroy them. But then a couple of Air Soldiers jumped over and swung their clasped hands together towards him in their Knuckle Hammer attack. Hayner was struck a few times and then tried to slash them. He then jumped high and used a Crawling Fire spell to obliterate them.

Pence ducked from some swinging fists from two Large Bodies. He fired some Aeroga spells to hold them back. But then, one of the large round Heartless created a Jumping Shock Wave that sent Pence flying. The other Large Body then did a Mow Down Attack, swinging its fist into Pence, knocking him down onto the ground. Pence recovered and fired Blizzaga spells at the Large Body, damaging it before he slashed it away. Pence then charged at the other Large Body, firing orbs of light at it before he slashed it away.

Olette charged at Morning Stars, slashing them as fast as she could. Olette was suddenly bombarded by their Spinning Mow-Down attacks, knocking her against the ground and rolling over. Quickly using Curaga on herself, Olette charged back at the Heartless. The brunette held her Keyblade up and casted a Fission Firaga spell at each Heartless, managing to destroy them. Then, some Striped Arias fired Time Bullets at her. Olette reflected them with ehr Keyblade and then used Zero Gravity to lift them into the air before she slashed them away.

The trio stood back to back and fended off against the Heartless coming at them. Hayner blocked a Morning Star's Spin Strike with a Firaga Burst spell, Pence stopped a Search Ghost's Hand Slam with a Thundaga Shot spell, and Olette stopped a Air Soldier's Axe Kick with a Wind Tracer spell. A Large Body attempted to smash them with its fists, but Hayner and Olette stabbed it with their Keyblades, and then Pence fired Icicle Mine to kill it from above.

The trio then held their Keyblades up high and unleashed a barrage of light orbs that destroyed the remaining Heartless.

The Heartless were finally clear as the trio panted. Olette casted the healing spell on them and they managed to catch their breath.

"Well, that takes care of that." Pence said.

"Yep. No more Heartless in sight!" beamed Olette.

Suddenly, a Morning Star came running up behind them.

"Uh, guys?! We missed one!" Hayner shouted.

But before they could do anything, a SOLDIER sword pierced through the Heartless. It was enveloped in darkness before its heart floated off to Kingdom Hearts.

And there before the trio stood Zack.

"Guess I'm late to the battle." Zack joked.

"Zack!" the trio exclaimed as they dismissed their Keyblades.

"Cloud said we would find you here." said Pence. "And boy are we glad to see you."

Zack chuckled, sheathing his sword. "I'm glad to be here. Now you can see why recon in Traverse Town has taken me a while." he said.

"Why didn't you call for help earlier?" asked Olette.

"I came here while you guys were still at Enchanted Dominion." Zack replied. "When the Heartless attacked, I knew I had to wait until a Keybearer could come and not just get rid of them, but also seal the Keyhole. After all, I don't have a Keyblade, Sora and the others are still in the Pride Lands, and the army members aren't fully trained yet. So I had to go solo around here."

"Sheesh. Sorry it's been hard for you." Olette said in sympathy.

Zack waved her off. "Don't'cha worry about it." he said. "I'm used to having hard missions during my time as a SOLDIER member. Just ask Cloud, Tifa, or Aerith. But I did have something to focus on around here. And I met someone that the army would love to see."

"And who's that?" asked Pence.

Zack grinned. "Follow me." he said.

Zack led the trio through the district. They walked into the Dalmatian's House, where Pongo, Perdita, and all 99 Dalmatian puppies were together watching The Thunderbolt Adventure Hour in the den.

"Wow. Sora, Donald, Goofy, Leon, Aerith, Yuffie, and Cid weren't kidding. That is a lot of Dalmatians." said Pence, taken aback.

"Wasn't their world restored?" asked Hayner.

"It was. This is their vacation spot. Their owners are off on a romantic carriage ride today." Zack replied.

"Oh, how lovely." Olette sighed happily.

They walked into the dining room where a young girl came out of the kitchen with some dog food. The Twilight Town trio gasped when they saw who it was.

"Alice?!" they exclaimed.

Alice was a young girl around 10-11 years old. She had blue eyes, and long, thick, blond hair tied with a black bow. She wears a blue dress with a white pinafore, along with white tights and black Mary Jane shoes.

"Oh, hello there! Do I know you?" she asked.

"We're friends of Sora, Donald, and Goofy." said Hayner. "I'm Hayner. She's Olette. And he's Pence."

"Well, it is very nice to meet you. I've told Zack this earlier, but any friend of Sora, Donald, and Goofy is a friend of mine." Alice smiled as she set the dog food down.

"So what are you doing in Traverse Town? I thought you lived in Wonderland." said Pence before pausing. "Or rather, near it."

Alice sighed. "It's a long story." she said. "I found myself in Wonderland once more by accident. But before I could try to venture out of it again, it was suddenly engulfed in darkness. And the next thing I knew, I ended up here."

"She told me that when I found her." said Zack. "I tried to tell the others, but the connection was fuzzy around here. Probably thanks to the darkness."

The trio was shocked.

"That's horrible!" exclaimed Olette.

"How did Wonderland get caught in the darkness like that!? And right under all of our noses, no less?" asked Hayner.

"I haven't the faintest clue." Alice replied.

Flashback, Castle That Never Was, one week ago:

Black Heron was working on an invention in Vexen's old lab. It looked like some sort of ray gun.

"Looking much more evil by the minute." Heron grinned.

Then, Pete and Mortimer came walking by.

"Well ha-cha-cha, F.O.W.L.'s Numero Uno is up to some inventing." Mortimer commented.

"Whaddya inventin' there, Heron?" Pete asked.

"One of my latest inventions is powered by what it gives." Heron replied. "Darkness!"

Pete blinked. "I don't follow."

Heron rolled her eyes. "Of course you don't." she said. "I decided to tinker around with my ideas. And what I came up with was that if those meddling imbeciles won't fall to darkness willingly, we can force them with this! The Dark-Inducing Machine. Or D.I.M. for short."

"Nice!" Mortimer commented. "So one blast from this puppy and anyone could be turned evil just like that?"

"Exactly!" Heron nodded. "Glad to see someone around here recognizes my genius intellect outside of Maleficent and the 13 Seekers of Darkness."

Heron then walked to a table to get some more tools.

Pete looked at a dial on the side. "So 'Small' for one, 'Medium' for a group, 'Large' for a whole world? Very clever." he said. "Wonder what happens when it goes beyond 'Large'." he wondered, turning the dial past 'Large'.

"Check it out, you can get a close-up range with this thing." said Mortimer, looking through its visionscope. "Let's see what I can spy here… Neverland, Deep Jungle, Whitechapel, The Valley of Peace, hey Wonderland! Wonder if it's gotten any crazier since the old Organization's time here."

Pete then spotted a large red button. "Hey, what's this thing here do?" he asked.

He pressured it and the machine suddenly turned on. A blast of darkness suddenly struck Wonderland and there was a large explosion coated in black and purple. The D.I.M. suddenly malfunctioned as sparks flew out and parts fell off before it collapsed into a heap pile.

"Uh oh." Pete mumbled.

"Oh now ya done it!" Mortimer huffed.

"Me?!" Pete spluttered. "You aimed it at a world!"

"Well you messed around with the controls and buttons!" Mortimer retorted.

Heron suddenly walked up with a blow torch and mask. "Now to fix some of the-WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY MACHINE?!"

"It was his fault!" Pete and Mortimer said in unison, pointing at each other.

Heron growled as she put the mask over her face, turned on the flamethrower, and activated her robotic arm. "You both will suffer!" she yelled as ran after them.

Pete and Mortimer yelped as they wan down the hall with Heron in pursuit.

Present:

"It wasn't long after some of the people who found me that I was informed that this place was called Traverse Town, a shelter for those who had lost their worlds." Alice went on. "So for the past week, I took refuge in this green hotel room. But I was able to make friends with Pongo, Perdita, and their puppies and I sometimes feed and play with them."

The trio was shocked once more.

"How did we not know Wonderland got destroyed?!" asked Pence.

"Don't ask me! The others say that world is crazy already! Who knows what kind of readings it gives off!" Hayner retorted.

"When I came here for recon work, I met Alice and saved her from being swarmed by Heartless around the Third District, mainly by that house where Leon and the others stayed." Zack said. "I promised I'd protect her until bigger help arrived. And I stayed in the red hotel room so Alice would have her space."

"How noble of you." smiled Olette.

"And then while we were looking around the jewelry store, we spotted a chest down below at the cafe and I managed to pry it open." Zack said. "It turns out, a fragment of Wonderland was in there!"

"A fragment of the world?" Hayner asked in surprise.

"Yeah. It contained the Bizarre Room." said Zack.

"And we found more as we explored the town." said Alice. "We found both the Red and White Rose Hedge Mazes in the Mystical House, the Lotus Forest in the Alleyway, and the Morning Dew Grove in the Secret Waterway."

"Thanks to a good chunk of our friends being toons, I managed to put all the fragments in this ACME Belt Pouch." said Zack, revealing a white pouch with the ACME label on it.

"I love our connections." giggled Olette.

"And it's a good thing you guys are here. We could use all the help we can get." added Zack.

"So how many more pieces of Wonderland are there?" asked Hayner.

"I don't know." Alice shrugged. "But I don't think there's that many left. If you can help us find them, I'm sure we can restore Wonderland in no time!"

"And then we can get outta here." said Zack.

"Sounds good to us!" said Hayner. "Come on, let's go searching around the town! Those chests should be easy to spot."

And the five went into town to look.

Unbeknownst to them, someone had been watching from the top of the clocktower.

It was Sephiroth, donned in his Organization XIII coat.

"Those imbeciles' idiocy was quite the happy accident." he mused. "But Wonderland's destruction was only the beginning… now it's my turn to get rid of these wretched annoyances and capture a former Princess of Heart."

He then summoned both his Masamune sword and his Keyblade, One-Winged Devil.

"And now, let the games begin." Sephiroth smirked.

And he took to the skies.

Third District:

The group of five made their way across the town.

"This place really is lovely." said Olette.

"That's what I thought while I tried to figure out where I was." said Alice.

"So you never came to this world before either?" asked Hayner.

Alice shook her head. "The only other world I ever went to outside of Wonderland and my own is Hollow Bastion." she said. "And that was against my will."

The trio cringed.

"Oh right… back when Riku was still a villain." said Hayner.

"Don't worry you guys." Zack smiled. "I told Alice everything when we were getting to know each other. She knows he's a good guy now. A good guy who was being manipulated by that evil fairy and silver-haired Heartless that took Ansem The Wise's name."

"That's a relief." said Pence.

They came across the golden fountain with the picture of Lady and Tramp on it.

"Cute little doggies." giggled Olette.

"All seems well around here." said Hayner.

"I wouldn't be too sure of that." Zack said to the blonde. "There's always been trouble lurking around the corner since I've been here."

"Look!" said Alice. "It's a chest!"

Everyone looked and saw a green chest right by the fountain.

"Alright! There's gotta be a piece of Wonderland in there!" said Pence.

Suddenly, Heartless spawned around the chest. There were Black Funguses, Snowy Crystals, Trick Ghosts, and Hammer Frames.

"And these schmucks won't let us have it!" snarled Hayner as he summoned Phantom Green.

Pence and Olette followed suit with Midnight Blue and Dawn Till Dusk. Zack quickly drew his sword.

"Alice, do you think you're able to fight too?" asked Olette.

Alice seemed hesitant. "I-I don't know…" she said. "I'm not much of a fighter…"

"Well hate to break it to ya, but the Organization won't care." said Hayner. "They want all the original Princesses of Heart again. And unfortunately, you're on their Capture Radar."

Alice gasped. "Oh good heavens no! I don't wanna go through that again!" she said.

"Then find something to defend yourself with!" said Hayner.

Alice frantically looked around and saw a lead pipe lying beside a door. She quickly grabbed it.

"Will this do?" Alice asked.

"Better than nothin'." shrugged Zack as they all got ready to fight.

Mission: Destroy the Heartless

Hayner charged at two Black Funguses and tried using Zero Gravity to get them into the air. But they jumped out of the way, towards Hayner. They then performed their Dark Contact move, slugging Hayner in the face and sending him flying backwards. Hayner tried to jump back up as he casted Firaga spells at them. The Black Funguses tried to defend themselves with their poisonous gas, but Hayner had already fired Ice Barrage to freeze them in place and then slash them to smithereens. But then, a couple of Trick Ghosts floated into the air and shot dark orbs at him. Hayner blocked them with his Keyblade and slashed at the floating Heartless before he used Wind Tracer to make them fly backwards and then casted Triple Thundaga to destroy them.

Pence ducked from a Hammer Frame's Spin Rush and slashed it multiple times. But then, the headband-wearing-kid was suddenly pelted by three of the Hammer Frames smashing the ground, sending him tumbling backwards. Pence managed to get up and slashed all the Heartless at once before taking down one Heartless with a Firaga spell, another with Blizzaga, and the third one with Raging Storm. Pence then ran at some Snowy Crystals. The ice cubed Heartless attacked him with a Hip Drop move, bouncing and crashing into the ground, creating a shockwave that knocked Pence over. As Pence got up, the Snowy Crystals charged at him and performed a Rumbling Shock Wave, bouncing into him at a rapid pace. Before they could continue, Pence casted Tornado Tracer, sending the Snowy Crystals flying around in circles before he destpryed them with an Exo Spark spell.

Olette casted Mega Flare spells against some Trick Ghosts. But they managed to dodge some attacks as a white one fired dark orbs at her. Olette managed to block them, but then a green one did a Triple Shot from behind her, nailing her in the back. Olette slashed them away, and then casted Wind Tracer against the other Trick Ghosts attacking her. But then she was surrounded by four Black Funguses and tried to use their poison mist on her. Thinking quickly, Olette used Cyclone to blow the mist back at them, ironically, poisoning its creators. Olette then used Warp to destroy them and the mist they dared to expel.

Zack slashed Heartless with his sword. But when he tried to attack some Hammer Frames, two of them Spin Rushed him, hitting Zack everywhere with their hammer chests, knocking him around left, right, and center. Zack recovered quickly and used his Blade Beam move, raising his sword and releasing a shockwave that traveled along the ground and knocked the hammer-themed Heartless over. Zack then used this advantage to slash them away. But then, the young swordsman found himself being ambushed by Trick Ghosts, trying to burn him with their lit candles. Zack managed to avoid getting burned, and jumped up to their flying level before he performed his Continuous Slash technique, slashing the Trick Ghosts vertically, horizontally, and then jump slashed them.

Alice tried her best to hold her own against the Heartless with the lead pipe. She bashed it against some Snowy Crystals, managing to break their ice cube bodies with ease. She ducked from a Hammer Face swinging it's body into her and she jammed the pipe in it's face and then right through its hammer chest as hard as she could. Alice then bashed some Trick Ghosts away while also dodging their fire. But then Alice came across the Black Funguses and they tried to strike her with both of their hands each. Alice bashed their hands away with the lead pipe, but then they released their poisonous mist. Alice held her breath and covered her mouth with her hand while using her other one to bash their heads so they'd stop unleashing their poison. Once they were discombobulated, Alice jammed the pipe into their chests, killing them, sending their hearts to Kingdom Hearts.

The Heartless had been slain as Hayner casted Curaga on everyone.

"Nice job as always, everyone!" he praised. "And Alice, good work too! Way to improvise with that lead pipe."

Alice caught her breath, happy that it was fresh oxygen and not poisonous Heartless breath. "Why, thank you! I will admit, I was improvising the whole time I fought."

"Hey, Sora did the same thing after being whisked into this whole fiasco." said Zack.

"You sure it wasn't because Ven's heart was in Sora's?" asked Pence.

"Nah. Ven told me himself that he may have guided Sora every now and then without him realizing it, but our spiky-haired friend did the rest of those moves all on his own." Zack replied.

"I must say though, that kind of fighting was quite exhilarating." Alice commented.

"Stick with us while we repair Wonderland, and you will get used to that." said Hayner.

"Speaking of which..." Pence said as he walked over to the chest. "Let's open this bad boy up!"

Pence tabbed the chest with Midnight Blue and the chest opened up. A piece of Wonderland floated up and hovered above the chest.

"Oooh!" Hayner, Pence, and Olette said in awe.

"It's a piece of a world…" breathed Olette.

"It's another piece of Wonderland!" Alice said happily. She examined it a little closer. "It's Queen's Castle!"

"The Queen of Hearts?" asked Pence.

Alice nodded.

Zack pulled out the toon sack and carefully pushed the fragment of Wonderland into it.

"So how many more pieces of Wonderland do you think are left?" asked Hayner.

"I don't know." Alice replied. "Maybe we'll know when we have found all of them."

Zack pocketed the sack. "Well we won't know by sticking around here." he said. "Let's keep going!"

"Just call us the World Restoration Committee!" Pence grinned.

"Yeah. Sure thing, buddy." Hayner said, patting Pence's shoulder.

With that, the group of five made their way through Traverse Town to find the next chest.

But they knew it wasn't gonna be easy. And Sephiroth was gonna make sure it wasn't.
